Equestria Girls: Heatwave in Cyberspace

Several months ago, the Rainbooms, Trixie Lulamoon and Starlight Glimmer were hanging out at Sunset Shimmer’s place. Sunset was showing the girls her cool new gaming room when, suddenly, a mysterious magical virus appeared and sucked them all into cyberspace.

While they were in cyberspace, the girls had a ton of fun and they even got new cyberspace suits/bodies. But then, they encountered the virus creatures and an evil virus that wanted to take over cyberspace. The Rainbooms, Trixie and Starlight teamed up and used the magic of friendship to defeat the virus. As a reward for saving cyberspace, the King and Queen of Digi-tonia gave the girls digital computer chip medals that they could use to go to cyberspace whenever they wanted.

After their adventure in cyberspace, the girls were happy to be home safe and sound.

…After many adventures, in cyberspace, they gained powerful Cyberspace armor, fought a virus that was possessing a friend and they helped the Shadowbolts fight 2 viruses, with the help of old friends.

But, the cyber adventure isn’t over yet…

It all began when the students of Canterlot High had heard of a new addicting app. It’s like Candy Crush, but it’s all the custom match symbols/icons that the users want to use for their match-3 game.

All the students, including the Rainbooms, Starlight and Trixie already got the app and were playing it nonstop. It was like the talk of the town!

Everyone, except the CMCs, who were jealous that they didn’t get the app for their phones yet, but Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walks up to them and teases them.

“Man, I wish we had that app for our phones.” Apple Bloom said.

“Yeah. We don’t have phones. We all have jobs and we’ve been working hard to get new phones.” Scootaloo said.

“Same here.” Sweetie replied.

“Ha! Looks like you have outdated phones!” taunted Diamond Tiara. “Lucky for us, we have high tech phones! Right, Silver Spoon?”

“Yeah! Good luck with that!” replied Silver Spoon.

“Why, you…!” Apple Bloom said as she was about to fight Diamond and Silver Spoon.

Snails and Snips had overheard them fighting and had enough. The two boys had decided to stop the fighting by using a rock slingshot to stop the fighting.

“You ready, Snails?” asked Snips.

“I’m ready. Are you ready?” Snails asked.

But instead of rocks, they used small rubber balls to get their attention.

“OW!” the girls yelled as they’re hit with the rubber balls.

“Hey, you guys, what did you do that for? I thought you gave up being bad and doing the pranks.” Scootaloo complained as she rubbed her head.

“You guys need to stop the fighting.” Snails said.

“Can’t you guys just ignore each other and walk away?” Snips said.

“Yeah…” Apple Bloom said. “Thanks for the info, boys.”

“I need the CMC girls, alone, for something important.” Snips instructs Diamond and Silver.

“Well, suit yourself. We’re playing the game.” Diamond said as the duo walked away.

While Diamond and Silver walked away, Snips and Snails had talked to the girls about the game.

“So, you have heard of the new game, huh?” asked Snips.

“Yeah.” the CMCs said in unison.

“Well, we don’t have the game either.” Snails said. “But we know who to turn to.”

“Who? Is it Sunset Shimmer from Shimmercode?” Apple Bloom asked.

“No, a gamer named Button Mash!” Snips replied.

“Button Mash? I’ve never heard of him before.” Apple Bloom asked.

“Same here.” Scootaloo said.

“Who is he? Sweetie asked.

“Meet us in the entrance after school. Diamond and Silver will come with us as well.” Snails whispered.

After school, the 5 girls met at the entrance where the 2 boys were met. Sooner or later, they started to go to the place where Button Mash lives, which is at a mansion. Button Mash’s father has owned a computer/gaming company and has been successful at keeping the business, sooner or later the father would later inherit the company when he retires, for Button Mash, he’s just an avid gamer, child prodigy, coder, inventor, scientist, famous e-sports champion and YouTuber. Button was working on a prototype that wasn’t finished yet. Until he hears a doorbell, realizing that he has guests.

“Hey, Snips, Snails! It’s so good to see you!” Button said.

“Long time no see.” Snips said.

“Who are your friends there?” asked Button.

“These are my friends from Canterlot High.” Snails replied. “This is Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.

“Well, friends of yours are friends of mine!” Button said in a happy manner. “Come on in!”

They went to his house and after a tour of his humble home, the origins of his father’s company, they went in and had some tea and they told Button about the CMCs & the boys’ problem.

“I see. So you 5 don’t have the download of your game..” Replied Button.

“Yeah. Do you have something to show us that could help us solve our problem?” Scootaloo asked.

When he heard this, Button thought about this and gave them a nod. Accepting that he could help them solve their problem. “As a matter of fact, yes. I think I may solve your problem. Button replied. “Follow me.”

And so, the tweens have followed Button to his room, to which they think it’s an ordinary room.

“What are we doing here in your room?” Snails asked.

“Looks bland.” Diamond said in disgust.

“I don’t mind if it’s bland. Why your room?” asked Apple Bloom

“You’ll see.” Button replied as he pulled a towel off its hook on a door and pressed a button on it. Revealing it changes into a futuristic game chamber (complete with game pods for solitary gaming, computers for research purposes, a table that mechanically transforms itself into any tabletop sport he chooses and stuff like that). His walls are very hi-tech (they’re white with computer chip linings)!

“Whoa!!!! Now that’s really awesome!” Scootaloo exclaimed in excitement.

“I just wish Applejack were here to see this!” Apple Bloom said.

“Your room is just like Rarity’s, but more high tech and futuristic.” Sweetie replied.

“Whoa… I take it back!” Diamond replied.

“Same here.” Silver said.

“You really worked hard on your inventions, huh, Button?” Snips asked.

“Yup, all my hard earned work.” Button said.

“Yeah. Now, about our problem…” Snails said as he, Snips and the CMCs held their phones to get the app.

“Okay… But I have to warn you: this is a prototype, so no complaints about phone malfunctions.” Button replied as he grabbed their phones and linked them to his computer to load the new game with the futuristic way of transferring data over to their phones.

Suddenly, everything fizzled and the phones shocked the tweens, which made them drop their phones. The power blacks out, but the screen of Button’s main computer glowed green.

“Hey, what’s going on?! What’s happening?!” Button asked in shock.

The tweens were confused as to what was going on when suddenly, the screen showed them what looked like a screensaver of a matrix code-lined tube.

“What’s the computer doing?!” Snails asked, looking shocked.

“It’s glitching like crazy!” Snips cried.

“Oh, man, let’s get out of here!” Diamond said.

“Yeah!” Silver replied.

“I don’t know y’all, but it’s gonna attack us!” Apple Bloom said, until a stream of light suddenly emerges from the screen, scans and pulls them all in one-by-one!

With that, they’re flying through what looks like a portal of matrix-like code lining the black space environment. The girls were all flailing like crazy, thinking this is like a crazy ride. Button Mash was chill and intrigued. Snips and Snails were yelling in excitement like they were surfing.

“WHOA!!!!!!!” Apple Bloom and Silver Spoon cried, freaked out

“Oh, my clothing would get wrinkly!” complained Sweetie.

“I hate flying through random places!” complained Diamond.

“Hold on, everyone!” Scootaloo yelled.

“Surf’s UP!!!!” Snips and Snails cried in excitement.

While they were flying through the tube, their bodies start glowing a black light (except their heads and necks) as the tube spills out the green digital streaming Matrix codes on the black light as everything was black, causing the tweens to black out and become unconscious after a crazy wild ride from being sucked in the computer screen.
