Equestria Girls: Heatwave in Cyberspace
Chapter 8: A Cybernetic Day Out / Heading Home
Previous ChapterAfter the Rainbooms, Trixie, Starlight, Spike and the Principals have left Cyberspace, the CMCs, Diamond, Silver, Button Mash, Snips and Snails decided to spend more time and explore here in cyberspace by exploring more features of CyberCity.
First, they head to the CyberLand Theme Park, where they had fun, going on the rides, playing the games, enjoying the movie theater watching movies such as the Matrix trilogy, Spy Kids 3 & Tron: Legacy, relaxing at the cyber beach, strutting and showing off their new outfits at the fashion studio and eating at the food truck. Next, They even tried the Cyber mall which has amazing things; such as eBay, Amazon and others. They had a window shopping spree. Finally, they get an experience of all the features of their individual rooms of their hideout. They get to try out all the features as they let everyone in their own rooms. Later that night, they decide to turn themselves in for the night and they sleep the night away.
The simulated morning light stretched across the vibrant, pixelated landscape of the cyberspace hideout. Button Mash, Snips, Snails, the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo), Diamond Tiara, and Silver Spoon stirred awake, their exhaustion from the previous day's adventures weighing heavily on them. Though their medals glittered around their necks as a reminder of their victories, everyone felt the tug of reality calling them back home.
Button Mash rubbed his eyes, gazing wistfully at the digital sky. "Man, I wish we could stay here just a little longer," he admitted, clutching his medal like a treasure. "This place is amazing... but my parents are probably freaking out by now."
"Yeah, same," Scootaloo agreed, stretching her arms. "It was fun, but I’m ready to head back. I miss my scooter, anyway."
Snips and Snails, still half-asleep, yawned in unison. Snails looked at Snips and grinned. "Dude, we’re going home! No more weird cyber stuff!"
Snips nodded, fist-bumping his best friend. "I’ll miss the cool stuff, though. But yeah, real beds are way better."
The group gathered at the center of the hub where their medals began to glow faintly, signaling their readiness. Each of them took turns scanning their hands on the device, the interface lighting up with a reassuring hum.
"Well, here goes," Apple Bloom said, her southern accent steady as she took the lead. "Time to head back."
With the portal now fully activated, its swirling energy lit up the space around them in a dazzling array of colors. Without hesitation, they stepped through, leaving the vibrant world of cyberspace behind.
The group emerged in the middle of the grassy park, blinking in the sunlight of the real world. A cool breeze brushed past them, a welcome contrast to the artificial air they had grown accustomed to.
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon stood to the side, inspecting themselves. The cybernetic material that had changed their bodies during their cyberspace ordeal was finally gone, and their forms had returned to their usual state. Their clothes, thankfully, had also been restored. Everyone is back to normal now.
"Finally," Diamond said, adjusting her tiara and dusting off her skirt. "I was starting to think we’d be stuck looking like weird digital sci-fi avatars forever."
Silver Spoon giggled softly, adjusting her glasses. "At least we made it out intact. Besides, the medal’s kind of cute," she added, holding up her prize.
Before they could get their bearings, three familiar figures rushed toward them. Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash sprinted across the field, their faces lit with relief and joy.
"Sweetie Belle!" Rarity called, pulling her little sister into a tight hug.
"Apple Bloom, you’re back!" Applejack exclaimed, scooping her sister up and spinning her around.
Scootaloo barely had time to react before Rainbow Dash ruffled her hair. "That was some great time you and your friends had, huh, squirt?"
The Crusaders basked in the warmth of their sisters’ affection, their fatigue momentarily forgotten.
Standing nearby, Sci-Twi, Pinkie, Sunset, Fluttershy, Trixie, Starlight and Spike watched the scene unfold with pride.
"I knew they’d make it," Starlight said with a small smile.
Trixie crossed her arms, trying to look unimpressed but failing. "Of course they did! They had the Great and Powerful Trixie helping them—well, indirectly."
"Hey. Don't beat yourself up. You did help save Cyberspace." Fluttershy whispered.
"We all did." Pinkie cheered as Sunset chuckled.
Sci-Twi adjusted her glasses, jotting something down in her notebook. "It’s amazing how they managed to navigate the cyberspace world so effectively, just like us. They’ve really earned those medals after all."
"They sure did, Twi. They sure did." Spike said.
As the reunion continued, Button Mash glanced at the portal one last time, now flickering as it powered down. A bittersweet smile crossed his face. "Maybe one day, I’ll come back," he muttered to himself.
"Button! Come on, let’s go!" Sweetie Belle called, waving him over.
He turned back to his friends, taking a deep breath before jogging to catch up. Whatever adventures awaited them next, he knew this was just the beginning.
At Canterlot High, it's a new week and the electronic grid is safe. The school had set up a policy that the students have phones out only for lunch and breaks. No exceptions. The Principals didn't want any trouble in Cyberspace anymore, so it is good they're playing it safe.
Button Mash has become even more popular with the gaming fandom ever since the cyberspace adventure, Snips & Snails have bonded even more than ever, Diamond and Silver was thinking of some fashion ideas for themselves based on their body forms from Cyberspace. The CMCs were spending time with their sisters more while they spent less time on electronics. It is a happy ending for everyone.
The End
