At the same time as when Garrison was getting info about Zalmeno, in Ponyville Sunset Shimmer was called to the home of Filthy & Spoiled Rich, a wealthy earth pony couple. It was during the small party Pinkie Pie had planned to expose Gilda's true nature to the wider ponyville population, not realizing Marina beat her to it. Seeing the pranks Rainbow Dash managed to sneak into the party made for a great laugh out of every pony though, as it was all harmless fun. All the same, during the party, Sunset Shimmer had met a pink earth pony filly named Diamond Tiara who had no cutie mark. And now today, the amber unicorn was being called to the mansion owned by Flilthy & Spoiled Rich.

"Sunset Shimmer, please, do come in." A pink earth pony mare said, answering the door instead of one of the maids or butlers.

"Wow, I think only a select few noble houses in Canterlot hire maids, butlers, or even both." Sunset said.

"This...is not about some appeal to the nobility for this visit, Ms. Shimmer." The adult mare said, as she led Sunset to a table where a brown earth pony stallion was waiting.

"Ah, I recognize your face from one of the advertisement buildboards. Filthy Rich, right?" Sunset asked.

"Indeed, that is me: Owner of Banyard Bargins, an establishment here in Ponyville." Filthy Rich said.

"Guess that makes this mare your wife, Spoiled Rich." Sunset said.

"Guilty as charged." Spoiled Rich said. "Now, about why we called you here Ms. Shimmer--"

"You can just call me Sunset if you prefer; this isn't a formal visit Spoiled." Sunset said. "As for why I'm here, I have a good guess: It's about your daughter, Diamond Tiara, isn't it?"

"Err...well, yes, it is about her. We're tried as much as we can to help her get her cutie mark, but alas, we have hit a brick wall figuratively speaking." Spoiled said.

"What my wife is saying, is that we've run out of ideas. We were hoping, if our daughter spent some time around you, you might help her find her cutie mark." Filthy clarified for his wife.

"I'm not sure how much help I can be there. Have you tried letting your daughter mingle with some of the other foals at the school? They'd probably provide better insight then I could..." Sunset said.

"Well, to be more preciese, this isn't just about helping her find her cutie mark." Filthy said. "It's about keeping her out of the crosshairs of a different rich pony foal."

"A very huge tormentor, and while we know his name, we can't do anything to him. His family is very influential in Equestria, despite immigrating into the country from lands far to the south; beyond any known civilization." Spoiled began. "A very successful family, as though they own no stores, or even a business, their wealth is seemingly bottomless. It was their concept of a trade fair that allows them to rank in the cash hosting the fair in Canterlot once a year."

"The Trade Fair? The same one that Canterlot is host to? That Trade Fair?" Sunset asked.

"Yes Sunset Shimmer; that Trade Fair. The concept was thought up by a particular family, and Canterlot pays them a huge sum to hose the trade fair on an annual basis." Filthy said.

"So then, who exactly is the problem?" Sunset asked.

As the adults were chatting, Diamond Tiara was trying to cut through the woods to get back home without running into Fortus Vile. The filly had risked going out to pick up a few things to try for a cutie mark, and was now on her way back home. She could only count her luck that she didn't run into a particular pair of ponies while sneaking out.

"How predictable can you get?" A male voice rang out. Suddenly, a male maroon colored unicorn colt joined by a gray earth pony filly jumped out at Diamond Tiara. "We had a feeling you'd try to cut back through here on your way back home."

"To be fair, that was your idea, Fortus Vile." The filly said.

"You were the one who informed me Diamond Tiara snuck out of her home, Silver Spoon." The colt who had been identified as Fortus Vile said. "If anything, this was a group effort."

Diamond Tiara gulped. "P-please don't bother me." Diamond Tiara said.

"What's in the bag, Blank Flank?" Fortus Vile asked.

"N-none of your concern, Fortus Vile." Diamond Tiara said.

"I'm willing to bet, it's stuff she thinks she can get a cutie mark in, don't you think?" Silver Spoon asked.

Diamond Tiara felt ill; and couldn't stop herself from making a face. "Looks like you hit the mark on the head, Silver Spoon." Fortus Vile said. "Ponies like you who don't have a cutie mark at our age are pathetic."

"J-just let me go back home." Diamond Tiara said.

"Nope. Can't let you do that. Not unless you hand over the bag first." Fortus Vile said.

"B-but I need what's in it." Diamond Tiara said.

"Correction: You want what's in it. If you needed what's in it, I'd let you keep the bag. But you don't need what's in it, you only want what's in it." Fortus Vile said. "And since you don't need what's in that bag, you can hand it over."

"Best do what Fortus Vile says Blank Flank; you don't want to keep being pathetic, do you?" Silver Spoon asked. Suddenly out of nowhere, a bunch of rotten apples were being thrown at both Fortus Vile and Silver Spoon from various direcitons. "Gah what in Tartarus?! We're surrounded Fortus Vile; we have to get out of here before one of those hit us." Silver Spoon said.

"This isn't over, Blank Flank; you hear me!" Fortus Vile said. He and Silver Spoon both bolted shortly after that.

Just then, a lone yellow earth pony filly came out. "You okay there?" She asked.

"Oh. I know you. Apple Bloom, right?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"That's me." Apple Bloom said.

"So...who else is with you? There were like, thousands of rotten apples flying." Diamond Tiara said.

"No pony else helped me; I did that all by myself." Apple Bloom said. "It's an apple family secret technique~" Diamond Tiara was stunned to say the least. "After all..." Apple Bloom showed off that she didn't have a cutie mark just like Diamond Tiara didn't have one.

"I-I didn't think there were more like me..." Diamond Tiara said.

"Here, I'll help you get back home." Apple Bloom said.

Author's Note

While I am keeping the fact that Diamond Tiara starts as a blank flank in this re-rewrite the same as the original rewrite, eagle-eyed fans of the original rewrite might notice that I chose to make Fortus Vile a unicorn over an earth pony in this re-rewrite. This was done because I do still plan to have Fortus Vile hit on Sweetie Belle later in the story just like the original rewrite, but part of me found it awkward that an earth pony colt was hitting on a unicorn filly at a fancy restaurant, regardless of financial wealth. This change should make that scene less awkward feeling for me at the very least. I doubt anyone complained originally, but I felt awkward doing things that way. So, this is mainly here to prevent me from feeling awkward.
