Bartender in an RGRE World
Preperations
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe following day in Equestria, everyone was unaware of what was happening on Earth. I was fixing my tie and about to go on a date with Celestia. It was morning, and My hair was soaking wet. I made my hair into bangs that went across my eyes and locks that went down my head, right by the end towards the tip of my neck. I had on a regular tuxedo, black and white, with a black tie. I looked at myself in the mirror; the tuxedo was way too big; maybe if I...hold on.
I got a pair of scissors from my drawers and began to cut, er...trim it...slowly, but gently and cautiously. It took a minute for me to get it on, but once it was on, I nodded my head and grinned. Perfection...
Slowly, I turned to walk out of the room. Celestia was ready in a gorgeous dress that showed like the sun itself. She was standing on the side, but I could tell that she was nervous. When she caught sight of me, she froze, and her jaw slowly dropped to the floor at the sight of me with my different hairstyle. It's a different look from a bushy shape up, that's for sure.
I slowly trotted towards her, my eyes filled with confidence as I raised my hoof for hers to take my arm.
She swallowed thickly and stared at me for a long moment before taking a deep breath. "You look..."
"I know it's not the best.." I smiled slightly, rubbing the back of my head with my other hoof, "I tried to"
"No..." she cut me off. It's incredible; I mean, I..." A furious blush spread across her cheeks. "I mean, never mind that, shall we?"
I chuckled at her reaction, "Yeah, sure...my arm is getting tired.."
"I ooh.." Princess Celestia chuckled as she looped her arm in mine, "You know...normally in Equestria, that is what a mare is supposed to do."
"Yeah...well..I'm not from here, remember?"
"Not from here...figured..." She then noticed a slight scab on my face, and her eyes shifted to a concerned look, "Are you alright? I didn't notice that before..."
"It's new."
Princess Celestia's eyes narrowed slightly, "I see....and did a mare do this too?"
"No...no mare..." I said, looking away slightly, "This was entirely my ...fault."
(Flashback...)
"Come on, come on, Come on." I ran at full speed ahead across the roof of my bar. "Confidence is key; work it like I mean it," I growled as I spread my wings wide. It's time to fly... fly high into the sky." The moment I jumped, I tripped.
"AH!" I was falling uncontrollably before I ended up faceplanting onto the ground below.
(Flashback end.)
Princess Celestia stared at me with wide eyes.
Honestly, I was surprised I was still alive, but I won't question it. That did give me serious trouble, and I still don't know if I am going to attempt anything like that any time soon.
"Oh by my mother!" Princess Celestia eventually gasped, "You're telling me you don't know how to fly?"
"No..." I said slowly, "In my defense, though, in my land, we didn't need to fly; we built things and used them for transportation instead."
"Little toys will not help you like your wings can..." Princess Celestia insisted, "I do not know what your land was thinking! Come, we shall learn how to fly immediately."
"What about our date?" I asked, slightly amused.
"I..." Princess Celestia paused for a moment, remembering why she was here in the first place. A sheepish smile slowly formed on her face. "I suppose I did get carried away; your admission caught me off guard."
"You're not having second thoughts, are you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "All because I don't know how to fly?"
"Oh heavens no..." Princess Celestia shook her head. "If anything, it just makes me want to be your mare even more."
"Not my mare yet." I said, hinting at a warning in my tone, "Remember, this is our first date; anything is possible with this one."
"Right, right." Princess Celestia sighed as she gently pulled me toward her with her magic, cradling me in her arms like a bride. I hated it because I wasn't accustomed to this position, and I knew I would never get used to it. I will make sure to let her know this too.
"Where do you wish to go?" Princess Celestia asked.
"I do not know anything about your kingdom," I said hesitantly. "How about...er...do you know the cakes?"
Princess Celestia blinked, before a small smile formed on her face.
I merely rolled my eyes, however the corner of my lips quirked upwards as well.
"I guess that's settled then."
"Indeed" Princess Celestia replied wistfully., "...perhaps while we are in Ponyville, we should visit my precious student Twilight sparkle in Ponyville's local Library, I am certain she would be delighted."
The smile left my face.
