After evading the petrifaction that the rest of the Legion of Doom suffered, Queen Chrysalis returned to hiding, scheming, and plotting. Weeks upon weeks later, she finally hatched a plan to get back at the ponies who had robbed her of her well-earned victory; the problem, clearly, was that the magic of harmony was still too strong to defeat.

To bring about her foes downfall, Queen Chrysalis summons King Sombra back from the void, and the two of them plan to bring the ruination of pony unity, this time with more permaneance. The first step on that plan? Sabotaging the most painfully saccharine holiday of all! With their precious hearthswarming in ruins, it would be the first step towards total pony disunity and chaos!

If only somepony had provided the two monarchs with a precise definition of what 'Ruin' or 'Sabotage' meant.
