The life of King Sombra was anything but easy. Born an orphan whose very surroundings caused him pain, he learned quickly that if he wanted anything out of life, he'd have to seize it himself.

By and large this proved to be sound life advice that carried him all the way from the streets to the throne with only a small amount of regicide and forbidden magic in the process.

But given a second chance—a clean slate, a new life—would he make those same choices again?

Of course he would! Only he'd do it better and smarter this time.
