My faithful student, Lyra Heartstrings

As the trumpets sounded, the giants doors of the throne room opened, and Lyra walked through them to the following hall. It was full of ponies; all of them cheering for the unicorn, and at the end of the throne hall was Celestia high throne, with the Princess in it. At the end of the downstairs was Luna, holding a medal with her magic, and with Twilight Sparkle at her left. Lyra walked proudly through the hall, to the Princesses.

"Lyra Heartstrings" said Luna "Today we have thy pleasure to prize thou with this golden medal for finding and saving Celestia and thy elements without help, wearing this medal, thou will have Equestria eternal gratitude, we are very proud of thou."

"Princesses" said Lyra as she took the medal with her magic and put it in her neck "I accept this medal as proof of all the ponies love towards me!" And with that said the hall get full of cheering and ponies constantly shouting "Yay, Lyra!"

Lyra felt like the most beloved and popular pony in the world, she was the hero of Equestria. Everything was cheering, until the noise stopped. All the ponies stopped the shouting and looked at Lyra, with a deep, lifeless stare. Lyra felt confused by the silent interruption, then Twilight walked at her, and she said with a loud, echoed voice:

"Now you have everything..."

Suddenly the existence itself became black and white, except for the freaked out Lyra and the deep voiced Twilight, which talked again.

"...but where are your friends?..."

Then the world faded into a black void, and as all the ponies faded away, so did Twilight, and Lyra was left alone and that lifeless space. "What... What's happening?"

"...you're all alone."

Lyra jumped off the bed, and looked around her. "Oh, it was just a dream, thanks Celestia... But still..." Then Lyra looked through the house for her friend. "Carrot? Where are you? Carrot!"

"Is something wrong Lyra?" Then Lyra looked where the voice came from, a window to be exact. "Did you break something?" Said Carrot Top as she called at Lyra. Then, relieved, Lyra went out of the house to the carrot yard, where Carrot Top was collecting carrots for breakfast.

"Just a bad dream, nothing important."

"So, how's that the Princess knows your name?"

"Oh, almost forgot... Well, it began when I went..."

"Mail!" Then the two mares looked at the sky, where a derp-eyed Pegasus flew down to them. "Hey Carrot! I have some mail... Lyra! Is that you?!" shouted Derpy excitedly.

"No, I'm not Lyra; I'm Madame Le Horn, princess of Cookie Plains." Said Lyra sarcastically.

"Well princess cookie, I have some mail for you!" Responded Derpy "I missed you! Why you went to Canterlot so soon? I didn't even told you good bye!"

"I was in a hurry" said Lyra as she opened the mail and then read it. The card said something like this:

My faithful student Lyra Heartstrings, I have thy pleasure to send thou this card with instructions to find new bearers for thy elements of harmony:

It must be two Pegasus Ponies, two Earth Ponies, and two Unicorns, respectively.
All of the ponies must be mares, no stallions.
They must be willing to be your friends and to go on an adventure to save Equestria.
Try to befriend them to the point that you know their personalities and they know your's.

"Well, bye! I have to..."

"Wait!" shouted Lyra before Derpy could finish "Can you wait for us in front of the City Hall when you've finished with the mail?"

"Okey-dokey!" said Derpy cheerfully as she flew away. Then Carrot Top got the last carrot from the earth.

"It's ready, c'mon Lyra, let's eat breakfast." Then the two mares went to the house, as Lyra went for the newspaper in the door, Carrot Top washed the carrots for breakfast. Lyra sat on the chair on her back and read the newspaper.

"Why you sit like that?" said Carrot Top.

"What do you mean?" said Lyra "I always sit like this."

"I know, but why?"

"I don't know, I just sit like this because I want, is something wrong with that?"

"No! I just wanted to know, no problem." said Carrot Top as she put the plates with carrots on the table. "So, can you finally tell me how the Princess knows you?"

"Very well, but let me eat first, I'm starving."

As the doors opened, the moon princess walked through the infirmary as the surrounding ponies kneeled as she got through, finally stopping in a certain room, and calmly knocked the door, which opened.

"Who wants to...? Princess!" then the doctor kneeled "I didn't know you were coming, I was..."

"Is ok." said Luna "Can I pass?"

"Of course Your Majesty." Then Luna entered the room, and saw Shining Armor on a bed, unconscious, with Cadance at her side.

"Good morning Cadance." said Luna to the pink coated Princess "Is he doing well?"

"He's getting better." Said Cadance "But he hasn't wake up since we came to the castle. I don't know what to do..."

"What happened to him?"

"We don't know, during that night we slept in a camp, I got out of the tent for a walk, when I returned in the morning he was weak and with an injury in his leg, luckily that day we were going to Canterlot. But we still don't know what attacked him, it looked like a bite."

"But you should..."

"The DNA tests are ready!" shouted one doctor as he entered the room "Oh, sorry Princesses, can you two please come with me?"

"Of course!" said Cadance as she walked quickly with the doctor to another room, with Luna following close behind.

"This is a DNA detector," said the doctor as he turned on the machine. "We have the DNA of every single species in Equestria and beyond."

"Fascinating." said Cadance.

"Very well," said the doctor "Let's begin with the search!"

"And the Princess brought me here, and I slept in that room, and, the end!" said Lyra as she finished the story to Carrot Top.

"That's awesome Lyra!" said Carrot Top as she brought another plate with carrots to the table.

"So, do you want to help me? Don't you think it's too dangerous or something like that?"

"Of course, you're my friend after all."

"Oh my, I'm still hungry!" said Lyra as she heard her stomach roar again.

"Do you want my plate?" said Carrot Top.

"What?" said Lyra "But I already ate two, I can't eat your's!"

"Calm down, I have no problem with that, c'mon, take it" said Carrot Top as she passed the plate to Lyra.

"Really, well, um, thank you! That's very generous from you." Said Lyra "Now, if you excuse me..." Then Lyra began to devour the carrots savagely, in a matter of seconds, the carrots ceased to exist.

"So, what about that mission of yours?" Said Carrot Top as she picked up the plates on the table.

"Very well." said Lyra as she got up from the chair. "We need to find new friends, let's begin with the search!"

Then the search for the guilty using DNA began, as she machine worked, the doctor and the Princesses stood there, waiting for the results.

"So, when is Shining Armor getting better?" said Luna, who was searching for a conversation theme.

"In a few weeks Princess." said the doctor "The register of vital energy is very low, it's like if somepony sucked the life out of him."

"That's it!" said Cadance "The guilty must be..."

"A changeling!" shouted the doctor "The DNA says it was a changeling! That was what you were going to say, Princess?"

"Um, I was going to say a pony vampire but... Changelings can suck life?"

"Apparently they can." said Luna "Are you sure it's changeling DNA?" said Luna to the doctor.

"I'm 100% sure, Your Majesty." said the doctor

"Then they must be the ones behind it all." said Cadance "That's why Celestia and the ponies hasn't appeared yet, the changelings kidnapped them!"

"I don't know." said Luna "We don't have enough proofs to blame them."

"Sorry Luna, but do you have another idea?" responded Cadance.

"I suppose you're right, thanks for the help doctor..."

"As you order, Princess." responded the doctor to Luna.

"...and Cadance, stay with Shining Armor in here until he gets better."

"Alright, bye Luna!" said Cadance as she ran away to Shining Armor's room.

"Good bye your majesty!" said the doctor as Luna walked away.

"Bye." Then Luna began to think as she walked out of the infirmary. It didn't surprise Luna that Cadance blamed the changelings for Celestia's absence, they ruined her special day after all, and unlike Discord, they still roamed free, and nopony don't know where they are, or what they're doing right now.

As Lyra walked through the streets, Carrot Top followed her close behind. "There she is!" said Lyra as she saw Derpy in front of the city hall.

"Lyra! I brought you an apple!" said Derpy as she handed an apple to Lyra.

"Oh, thanks." Then Lyra looked at the apple. "Um, Derpy, I think it's rotten."

Then Derpy took the apple from Lyra and ate it. "Rotten to the core, dear Lyra, rotten to the core." Said Derpy.

"Right... Whatever, you're still my friend, right?" said Lyra.

"Of course Lyra! Why I shouldn't be your friend?"

"Hear this, it's very important."

"Okey-dokey!"

"Alright..." then Lyra caught all the breath she could, and said it all in a single sentence.

"CelestiaandtheelementsdisappearedandPrincessLunaneedsmyhelptofindnewelementsandIthoughthatyoucouldhelpmesaveEquestria!"

Derpy stood there, thinking for some seconds. "I don't know, let me see... Of course!"

"Really?" said Carrot Top, excited by finally saying something, as Lyra was still breathing hardly by the long sentence.

"Why not? It will be fun!"

"Very well..." said Lyra as she recovered her voice "...That was easy, now we need to find new friends, for the elements to work."

As the train stopped, the ponies took their baggage and suitcases as they prepared to leave the train, between them was a certain mare with a gray coat, a darker mane, light purple eyes and a pink bow tie. She had some suitcases too, and a prominent one that contained a cello. When the train stopped the ponies quickly got out of the train, but the gray coated pony was left behind, because of the heavy cello and her lack of a magic horn. Most ponies just went here to take another train to another city, but this mare came to stay. Normally in Canterlot somepony was there to help the passengers with their cases, but not in Ponyville, it was just a town, after all.

As the mare got out of the train station, she was trembling because of the heavy baggage. She saw around her to see if anypony was around, but the only pony was an earth stallion sitting on a bench close to her, he obviously had nothing to do, as he was just looking at the landscape around him. The mare went to the bench and dropped the suitcases besides her, and then she sat. Looking at the tired mare, the stallion talked.

"Excuse me lady, is there something wrong?"

The mare looked at the stallion, he had a light gray coat, a white mane and tail, light gold eyes and he had two white G-clefs as a cutie mark.

"Well, somepony usually carries my baggage for me, but in this town..."

"I can help you." said the stallion "I can help you carrying your suitcases, if you let me, of course."

"Well, I would be pleased."

And the stallion got her baggage on his back, except for the cello, that the mare got first."

"So, where are you going? Miss, eh..."

"Octavia."

As the sun began to fall in the horizon, ponies entered the discotheque. The lights turned on, and so did the music. Ponies formed to enter, waiting for the place to open. A male unicorn entered the discotheque, and after some seconds got out and talked to the stallion guarding the entrance.

"Hey, have you seen DJ Pon-3?"

"Sorry MC W1SH." said the guard "But I haven't seen her since yesterday."

In the other side of the town, a mare was sleeping in her bed, but a bird singing in her window woke her up. Filled with laziness, the mare stretched her legs and calmly looked at her clock in the wall.

"Heh, it's just 6:56... Wait... What!?" The mare jumped out of her bed and began to panic "Oh, no no no... Not today! Why today? I knew that I something bad could happen if I felt asleep! No no no... I must get ready!"

She used her magic and opened the cabinets in her little night table that was filled with glasses. She took the first ones, and ran away from the room, out of the small house, in front of it was her previous roommate, with her suitcases waiting for a taxi.

"What's wrong Vinyl?" said Sparkler "This is not the wild and festive you."

"But this is the day!" said Vinyl Scratch "Is the tenth anniversary of the discotheque! I can't come late to the presentation! You know what could happen!?"

"What?"

"My career could be ruined! No more parties! No more staying awake until fourth of the morning! What if my friends leave me!? What if... Sparkler?"

Vinyl looked around her only to see Sparkler going away in a taxi.

"Goodbye Vinyl!" said Sparkler "Try to not make your new roommate run away like me!" with that said, Sparkler get lost in the horizon, when she turned to the right behind some houses, to be exact. Then a taxi stood in the same street that Vinyl's home.

"A taxi! My salvation!" then she discovered, that she hadn't any money "Oh no, my wallet! Wait, since when I have a wallet?"

"Hey, is something wrong?" Vinyl looked at her left, and found a derp-eyed Pegasus. "Do you need money?"

"Oh, well, I'm in a hurry, but..." Then Derpy gave the taxicolt some money.

"Hey, where are ya going?" said the taxicolt.

"Can you go to the discotheque in one minute?" said Vinyl.

"Of course, got up." Then Vinyl got in the taxi, and recovered her cool personality.

"Thanks fella! I owe you one!" said Vinyl

"No problem!" said Derpy. As the taxi ran away in a hurry, Derpy stood there, thinking about muffins.
