Chapter 3:
[Into the badlands ]

“My Little ponies, we are about to go into a village that is more than likely under attack by the changelings, so all of you need to be ready” said princess Celestia to all of her subjects, the royal guards and the elements and spike. She, her sister and their niece were sitting on their royal carriage while four royal guards were flying at the front, pulling the carriage with them.

The elements all except rainbow dash were sitting on a carriage as well, rainbow was flying all by herself, following the convoy. There were 5 more carriages that had the royal soldiers in them, all going towards the village of Springvill to fight the changelings.

Twilight Sparkle looked at her friends who were sitting in the same carriage as her and addressed them “okay girls, i know none of you were expecting this, but remember, as long as we stay together, nothing can stop us” her friends smiled at her and nodded.

Rainbow dash flied up to the carriage and looked inside from the window “were with you twi” she said the others aggreed with her.

“Yeah, nothing is more powerful than teamwork and friendship” Pinkie said as she was sitting next to twilight.

(A/N: ya sure about that? My dear readers, what is more powerful than friendship? I mentioned it in the name of the fic, whoever writes the right answer in the comments gets a spike mustache from me)

“I just hope, we’re not too late, I don’t want to see anypony get hurt” Fluttershy said softly as she shifted on her seat. The thought of seeing the changelings again after what they did during the Canterlot wedding 3 months ago, sent shivers down her spine.

Rarity nodded, as she brushed her precious mane using her magic “same, knowing what those brutes are capable of, im very worried about the safety of the citizens” she said.

After minutes of traveling with the carriages. The convoy gets closer to the village, the princesses looked at the village from the distance and were worried as they could see the ruined buildings and flaming houses. Apart from that they couldn’t see anything else from this distance.

Luna stood up from her seat and spoke loudly, so that everypony could hear her “we will stop here and walk the rest of the way” she said. The guards that were carrying the seven carriages all stopped and slowly landed on the ground outside of the town.

All the ponies got off their carriages and trotted their way to the princesses. Celestia nodded and trotted alongside her sister and niece in the center. While the guards walked in the front and the elements and spike at the back. The guards were ready for anything that could be a threat.

“So. Whats the plan now?” Applejack asked as she looked at Twilight.

Twilight looked at her cowpony friend and said “I dont know, but im sure princess Celestia and luna know what to do.” She assured her friend.

“Yeah twilight’s right, the princesses know how to deal with the changelings” spike said as he was sitting on twilight’s back.

Just then a guard called out to the princesses. The group looked towards where the voice came and turns out it was shining armor, aiming his spear alongside his comrades. The princesses and the elements walked up to the guards and looked at the pony that the guards were aiming their spears to. They looked like a mare, a mare that was trotting with one of her hooves wounded and was shivering.

When the mysterious pony got closer the elements gasped as they knew who she was. “Cheerilee!?” The girls and spike said in unison. The mare just looked at them and just as she was about to crash to the ground, the girls all rushed to her side, and helped her steady.

When twilight looked at Cheerilee’s face she could tell she wasn’t a changeling and could see pure horror in her eyes. She was sweating and shivering like crazy. “Cheerilee, what happened? Are you okay” Twilight asked with worry.

The school teacher mare, was shivering and had a pale face, she tried to talk, but the immense fear she must be feeling wouldn’t let her. The princesses made their way to the group and looked at the mare with worry, the guards all trotted in the town with determination to fight anything that wanted to hurt them.

The injured mare finally managed to speak, but her voice was still shaking. “H-he-he k-ki-killed, he ki-killed th-em” Thr school teacher managed to say. The elements all shivered at what the mare said, and had their eyes widened.

Celestia was scared as well, but she didn’t show her emotions “my little pony، who did it, who k-ki-lled who” the sun princess said, not being comfortable to say kill.

The mare looked up at the princess and managed to say “th-the al-ico-rn, the male alicorn.” She said.

The group all had their eyes widened at what Cheerilee said. They were interrupted as they heard shining armor call out to them from inside the town. Cadence looked at where her husband was and called out “what is it, shiny?” After afew minutes the captain came running to the group with a pale face.

“Princess, i- you- they,ugh, you need to see this” shining said, his voice carrying a fear in it. The princesses and the elements followed shining, Spike stayed behind with cheerilee.

The group trotted way towards the village and saw some of the guards vomiting on the ground. After a few minutes, when they got into the town square, the sight made them freeze.

Fluttershy shivered as her face turned green and she puked. Pinkie’s body lost its usuall pink colour and her usuall energetic mane deflated. Rarity dropped to the ground and passed out. Rainbow just looked away and gagged, but managed to hold back. Applejack covered her face with her hat. Fortunately spike wasn’t here to see the sight. Twilight had a look of horror and disgust just like the three princesses.

The town square of the Springvill village was covered with green blood of hundreds of dead changelings. Their body ripped and crushed in unspeakable ways. Scattered limbs and intestines of the changelings were everywhere.

The sun princess looked away as she gagged, she looked up at the clocktower of the town and luckily it was okay. She decided to clear her mind from the massacre by doing her duty of raising the sun. Celestia shook her little sisters body, taking her out of her thoughts and motioned towards the moon, Luna got the hint and nodded, so she followed her sister to do their job, all the while thinking about what Cheerilee said about that male alicorn.

It has been a total 15 minutes since Doomslayer left Springvill and was by now, flying in the air looking for any signs of changelings. Slayer by now have completely left equestria and entered the badlands. The difference between the two continents was the fact that badlands was unbelievably dry and sandy. In the darkness of the night, it was a bit hard to see anything with naked eyes but fortunately for the Slayer, his helmet had both flashlights and night vision mod.

As the Slayer looked down on the badlands, he couldn’t see any signs of civilisation. He thought that maybe those changelings came here because they were afraid of him and had no other choice, but there was the possibility that the changelings actually lived here, in that case Slayer was a bit surprised that the changelings would decide to live in a land as dry as this, but still, he didn’t give a damn about the well-being of those disgusting horse-insects, hell, he was here to find and kill them, and see what they have done to the citizens of Springvill.

The Slayer looked up and saw that the sun was slowly rising and the moon was going down. A soft smile formed on his pony- muzzle beneath his helmet as he remembered the sweet memories of him and his wife together.

When he was still a normal human, he and his wife, Jenny, would go and watch the sunrise and sunset together, and after their marriage, they had a son, a sweet and beautiful son that they named Thomas. He remembered how he would put his son on his shoulder and carry him around, he remembered his son’s playfull giggles and laughter. He also remembered the day that Tom found a cute little baby rabbit when they were in a camp and how it turned into their pet, they named the bunny daisy.

But then, that day happened, the day he lost everything, the day that the invasion of hell began, the day that he was punished for doing the right thing. Slayer gritted his teeth at the memory and closed his eyes. Tom was only 3 years old, and those demons took him, daisy and jenny from him.

Doomguy growled in anger as he tried to forget those things but failed as the memory was stock into his head. He finally lost his temper as he roared at the top of his lungs and flied down towards the ground and crashed on the sandy floor of the badlands. The force of the crash was so hard a deep, giant crater was formed on the ground where he crashed and a giant sand tsunami was thrown everywhere. And that wasn’t all, the crash was hard enough that the entire planet started shaking, the entire FUCKING planet.

As the sand fog cleared out, we had a good sight of the Slayer who was on the ground in the crater sitting on one hindknee, while having his right front hoof on the ground like a fist, breathing heavily as he was by now angrier than he ever was. The Slayer looked up at the air and saw that the sun was up in the sky. The light helped him see his surroundings better. He sighed quietly and stood on all four hooves once again.

The Slayer flied out of the crater and continued his search for changelings.

Half an Hour passed and the Slayer was still flying around the badlands, the land had many tall mountains in it but it also had lots of flat ground that was dry as hell....Well figuratively, hell is lot dryer and hotter than this place, Slayer knows that better than anyone, or anypony in this case. Just then, he heard the sound of a rocket and looked down on his right, he quickly dodged the incoming firework, and glared down at the ones who shoot it at him.

[Minutes ago]

“Cmon boys, get those dynamites ready” rover the diamond dog called out to his friends as he put down a barrel full of diamonds on a wagon, outside of the cave that they were mining in. Apparently the diamond dog gang are living in a mining camp inside the badlands. Their leader is called grievous. One of the most intimidating and cruelest diamond dogs in the world. Grievous’ crimes were so much he is wanted in all of Equestria, so he moved out and decided to look for jewellery in the badlands.

Fido grunted as he struggled to walk while he had two barrels full of diamonds on his back, carrying it outside the tunnels. Spot walked up to him and said “hey F, need a helping paw with those two?” Spot asked, Fido looked down on his small Friend and shook his head.

“No, go mind your own business” Spot frowned at that, and then glared at Fido.

“Hey, do you think im too small for that?” He asked loudly, Fido chuckled as he continued his walk to the exits.

Fido’s chuckles turned into a small laughter “I dont think, i know, your small for this” he said as he finally reached the exit, and was just afew meters away from the wagon. Spot walked up to him and stood in front of him, blocking Fido’s path.

“Then let me show you how wrong you are” Spot said angrily. Fido rolled his eyes and put the two big barrels on the ground and pointed at the wagon. Spot grabbed the first barrel and tried to pick it up but it was in vain as it was very heavy. Fido chuckled and motioned for the other dogs to come and see this.

The other diamond dogs all stopped what they were doing and all walked towards the two dogs to see what is going on. The crowd formed a circle around the struggling dog and were all laughing at him. The small diamond dog gasped as he let go of the barrel, he then growled like a dog as he saw the other dogs laughing at him.

He looked up at Fido and glared up at him, Fido just stood there with his arms crossed and a smile. Spot then screamed and jumped up on Fido’s head and started slashing his claws at his face. Fido screamed in pain and managed to throw Spot on the ground, and got on him and started punching him. The crowd cheered and were placing bets on who would win, mostly were betting on Fido.

“Hey what is going on out here?” Rover said as he exited from the tunnels and saw Fido and Spot fight while the others were cheering. He quickly ran towards them and tried to get them off each other, but it was in vain.

Just then, a load howl was heard that made all of the dogs jump up and look towards the source. The dog responsible for the howl was a tall and muscular dog with black and gray fur with his body having big scars on some places, and had a axe in his paw. Yes I’m talking about Grievous, he glared at his men and slowly walked towards them, Fido let go of Spot and stood up, Spot did the same. Grievous stopped and talked with a scrachy but deep voice “what is going on in here” Grievous demanded.

One of the dogs stepped forward and explained everything “hmm, is that so?” Grievous said as he heard everything from that dog. “I thought i told you two to focus on the tunnels B and C ?” Grievous said.

“Uhh, listen Grievous, we were digging and looking for as many gems as we could, but, you know, that earthquake happened and the whole tunnel came down” Spot said to which Fido nodded. There was indeed a hard earthquake that happened at least 30 minutes ago, that ruined most of their tunnels. It was the strangest earthquake that they have ever witnessed, because it happened for afew moments and than stopped, but even in those afew moments it caused a huge ton of damage.

The dogs didn’t know what it was that caused the quake, but you readers surly know...right?

Grievous just looked at the two and scuffed. The silence was broken as a diamond dog rushed from the watchtower and alerted his fellow diamond dogs. “Hey boys, there is a pony flying towards us, he is in a fancy armor, I think his a equestrian guard” the watchtower dog said.

Grievous smiled and chuckled “okay boys, get yourselves ready for a fight, you two__” he pointed at Fido and Spot “go get the fireworks ready” the two dogs went and grabbed a box full of fireworks and readied their canons. All of the dogs had a weapon in their paws and were ready for anything. The flying pony was now on sight, Grievous pushed Fido away from the canon and wanted to shoot the fireworks himself. He aimed the canon at the pony and lightened the canon, after afew seconds the canon shot a firework at the pony in the dark-green and brown armor.

The enormous pony swiftly dodged the firework as it exploded afew meters away from the pony. The armored pony looked down on him from the air. The ponies helmet had a visor so none of the dogs could see anything.

Grievous grinned as he put his axe on his back, and walked away from the canon and towards the entrance of the mining camp, and took a mockingly welcom stance. “Hey there pal, whats your business here?” Grievous shouted at the flying, armored pony, his fellow diamond dogs were standing right behind him. “Its not common to see a pony in this deserted Tartarus hole” he continued as he put his paws at his sides “judging by your fancy armor, i presume you are from the Equestrian royal guard, aren’t you?” He finished.

The flying pony remained silent as he slowly lowered himself to land on the sandy ground of the badlands afew hoof away from where he and his men were standing. It was then that grievous realised how tall and muscular this stranger was. He also realised that the pony is actually a alicorn. Grievous was surprised at first but then, he smiled darkly as he hated the Equestrian royalty with every fiber of his life and wanted to feast on this pony’s flesh right then and there.

Grievous continued looking at the Slayer with a vicious smile and Slayer looked back at him with a glare from underneath his helmet. “Well, if you are here to arrest me and put me behind the bars, you’ll have to fight me first, what do you say about a fight with bare hooves and paws.” Grievous suggested as he cracked his knuckles. Although the Slayer was the tallest pony in the world even while he was standing on all four hooves. Grievous was as tall as him. He was the tallest and most muscular diamond dog in equus.

The diamond dogs all looked at each other and started cheering and shouting grievous’ name. The Slayer slowly had a small smile and rolled his eyes at the dog’s foolishness. He could have easily kill him in afew seconds but he decided to have a little fun by, hmmm, how do I say this, oh yeah, by playing with his food.

Weakness: Large and strong figure, but slow and inaccurate movement.

Grievous and Slayer took battle stances and Grievous started circling his opponent with his paws up in a boxing manner. “Your helmet will make a fine addition to my collection” The Alpha dog said as he looked at the Slayer with a vicious smile.

Finally after lots of circling, Grievous made the first move, he swiftly thrown a punch at the Slayer, who took his left paw with his right hoof and brought his other hoof down on Grievous’ arm, hard. Grievous yelled loudly as the sound of his broken bones could be heard. The other dogs all looked at the scene with anger and shock.

Slayer then let go of the dog’s paw and punched him hard in the face, not hard enough to kill him, but still. The punch sent Grievous, flying back with afew broken teeth and a broken arm. As Grievous was struggling to stand up, he looked around at his men with anger and frustration. “Dont just stand there, help me out with this guy” Grievous yelled at his fellow diamond dogs.

The dogs all slowly made a circle around the Slayer with axes and pickaxes in their paws, some had shovels too. Slayer looked at them with his signature smile as he got ready for the real thing. This new world wasn’t as boring as he thought it would be.

A diamond dog tried to attack the Slayer from behind with a pickaxe in paw. Slayer took his arm with his hoof and punched him very hard in the chest. The dog gasped as the Slayers hoof formed a hole in his chest, causing his blood to be spilled everywhere. Slayer grabbed the dog’s heart and gave it a squeeze, causing it to be exploded. The diamond dog crashed to the ground on his own blood, the other dogs looked at the sight and had their eyes widened in fear. They then looked at the Slayer with anger and attacked.

Slayer decided to kill them all without using any of his weapons, only hands, uhh, I mean hooves. Slayer countered one of the dog’s attackes and slammed his both fronthooves at the both side of the dog’s head, causing it to explode with a satisfying crunch and lots of blood. The Slayer then punched another dog in the stomach and pulled his hoof out, the diamond dog screamed in pain as his eyes started watering and his intestines were dropped out of his stomach, he tried to put his organ back into place, but it was in vain.

The Slayer gave no shit about the diamond dog in pain and grabbed his intestines and pulled it out of the crying dog’s belly. He then throw the guts like a rope towards another dog, the bloody guts wrapped around the dogs waist tightly, the dog gasped and looked at the Slayer with fear. Slayer pulled the gut-rope and swang it around himself. The trapped diamond dog screamed as he crashed to four of his friends with high speed, his body hurt like Tartarus and was covered in the other dog’s blood. Slayer then let go of the gut-rope, causing the diamond dog trapped in it to crash at the mountain wall, causing a big chunk of rock to drop on him and crush him.

A diamond dog attacked the Slayer from behind and was about to smack him with his shovel, but unfortunately for him, the Slayer quickly punched him in the mouth. His fist made a hole in the back of the dog’s head as it came out from the other side of the dog’s gullet. The dog vomited blood and squirmed in pain. The Slayer then put his other hoof inside the dog’s mouth as well and ripped his head into two and thrown the corpse at another dog.

Slayer then looked at a diamond dog that was about to shoot him another firework with a canon. Slayer quickly dashed towards the dog and jumped on top of him. The dog screamed in horror, as the Slayer was about to crush his head beneath his heavily armored and muscular hoof. The dog shook his head at the Slayer and asked for mercy, but it was too late, as his head was imidiatly crushed beneath the large, heavily armored, muscular, ultra Alpha male alicorn’s hoof.

Slayer then picked up another diamond dog and stood on his hindlegs. He lifted the dog above his head and pulled. The dog screamed in pain and fear as he was turn apart.

Behind the wagon that the diamond dogs have filled with barrels full of jewellery. We could see three diamond dogs hiding behind it. “H-ho-holy, wh-who is th-at guy” Spot stammered with fear as he looked at the alicorn in green armor, ripping and tearing his friends. Rover looked at Fido and Spot and motioned for them that it was time to go.

Rover and Fido attached the wagon on their back and started carrying it while Spot sat with the jewellery barrels. Grievous ran after the wagon but stopped as it got away.

“Ahhh, you worthless rats, come back here” he yelled at the three coward dogs. He looked back as he heard a crunch sound and saw the Slayer having a diamond dog’s head in his hoof, and saw him crush it with the same hoof he was carrying it with.

“You murderous, little scumbag, ill rip your head and will eat it as breakfast” Grievous yelled as he picked up an axe with his right paw. But before any of them could do anything, a flapping sound caught both of their attentions. Before they could react, a gigantic red and yellow dragon with light pink scales and yellow eyes landed hardly on the ground, behind Grievous. Grievous’s eyes widened as he saw the dragon glaring down at him. Slayer was ready to fight the dragon but it seemed that the giant lizard was looking for the gem loving dog.

The dragon roared as it quickly picked up Grievous from the ground with its large mouth and shook him violently. Grievous screamed in pain as he felt the dragon ripping him in half. His lower body fell back on the ground while the red dragon ate his upper body.

The dragon sighed in satisfaction as he rubbed his tummy, while Doomguy just stared up at him. After afew minutes the Dragon looked down at Doomslayer and smiled, this confused Doomguy as he tilted his head with a blank expression on his muzzle beneath his helmet. “I’d like to thank you for getting rid of these Diamond dogs” the dragon said with a deep, grateful voice as he bowed slightly. “Ever since i came to the badlands, they would interrupte my slumber by detonating dynamites in their mines, and sometimes tried to steal my jewellery” the dragon continued.

The big, red and yellow dragon looked at the place and saw the massacre and raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Well, well, i haven’t seen a pony fight and kill, i always thought ponies are soft and sensitive. But now im at the presence of a warrior who knows the true meaning of battle” the dragon said with a smile.

The red lizard used to be a warrior in his prime and was someone who have fought in many deadly battles, thousands of years ago. Slayer continued looking at the Dragon with a blank face, but deep down he was happy that he have met a potential allie. “Last night when i was trying to sleep, i heard voices of the changelings flying past my cave” this caught doomguy’s attention “i heard them talk about a Alicorn male in green and brown armor, who massacred their fellow changelings in battle, i presume you are that alicorn” the dragon continued as he winked down at the Slayer.

“If you are looking for them, i know that they are currently hiding in the caves of one of these mountains, you can find their hive in them " the red dragon said as he pointed at the many mountains around them. The Slayer slowly nodded his head as he got ready to fly up and begin his search. The dragon got ready to fly as well, but before that, he saied his goodbyes “until we meet again, my friend” the dragon said as doomguy then super jumped up snd flew away.

The dragon smiled as Doomguy reminded him of himself in his younger times as a warrior. After afew moments of reviving memories, the dragon flew off as well.
