Discord slowly regained consciousness, only to discover he had been pinned down by changeling goo covering his feet, leaving him unable to move.
"Well well well, if it isn't the smug JERK lord of chaos himself...." Chrysalis revealed herself as she approached Discord with fury in her eyes.
"Why did you pin me down instead of cocooning me with the others? If this is your idea of a romantic get together I'll have you know I'm not into you Chryssie." Discord smugly told the changeling queen.
"What?! No! This is nothing like that! I only bought you here for ONE, REASON." Chrysalis stated to the lord of chaos.
"And that is?........"
"WHY DID YOU STEAL MY PLAN TO IMPERSONATE THE BRIDE AT THE ROYAL WEDDING?!"
Discord had to hold in a chuckle.
"THAT'S what this is all about?!"
"I have been planning to drain the love of the groom for energy ever since the wedding had been planned! And you decide to steal my plans because some of my drones spilled it in front of your statue?!" Chrysalis had raw anger seething in her voice as she lashed at the Draconequus.
"I only did what I could to take over Canterlot before you bugs did, it was every villain for themselves wasn't it?" Discord didn't even try to defend himself.
"Do you have ANY idea how long I've prepared for that very day?! I even practiced wearing a gown like Cadance's for the very occasion!!!" Chrysalis unashamedly revealed.

"TMI......." Discord glanced over to No one in particular.
"You are going to PAY for stealing MY plan which I came up with!" Chrysalis yelled at the spirit of disharmony.
"Hey! Don't take it personally Chryssie! I would have done it to any villain else if they had a better plan at the time. You can't expect raw chaos to be original can you?" Discord stated to the livid insect.
"I will NOT stand my plans being stolen by a misshapen creature with a desire for disorganization!" Chrysalis boomed throughout almost the entire hive.
"Maybe you should blame your drones for being reckless enough to discuss your plans where I WAS KEPT PRISONER." Discord suggested.
"Don't you DARE pin the blame on them! They had no idea that you were being held in a PUBLIC LOCATION!!!" Chrysalis defended her drone's incompetence.
"Regardless, I still did a better job at it then YOU could have. If you tried to pull it off you would have acted like Princess Demandy-pants, but I tried to act nice." Discord mocked Chrysalis's poor imitation skills.
"And so WHAT?! I had an elaborate scheme that compensated for that flaw!" Chrysalis barked.
"So did I, And still did a better job then you could." Discord smirked.
"I'll teach you some RESPECT you reckless mess of nature!" Chrysalis shouted in fury.
"Temper temper, You should try to calm down before you grow an extra hole in those legs." Discord smugly commented.
"How dare you! You had better take back EVERYTHING you said to me, or I will SUCK YOU DRY OF YOUR LOVE!!!"

"So you're threatening me with assault?" Discord grinned.
"YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT!!!" Chrysalis yelled.
"You know, even if you did do it before me, the bride and groom would have eventually reunited and used the power of their love to undo everything you did. Believe me, I know from personal experience...." Discord lamented....
"Yes... I heard about it..... Well, this plan is SURE to work! I have ALL of Equestria's beloved heroes stored in my cocoons! You and you're friends are next as soon as my subjects capture them and deliver them to me!!!" Chrysalis boasted.
"Umm, yeah.... About that, you see, my friends have actually been convincing the rest of the hive to share love so that they never starve or go hungry again, because it's much better to share the love you have for each other then to take it from others." Discord revealed to the changeling queen.
"WHAT?!" Chrysalis roared.
"Yes, and it seems my distraction worked, because here comes a few changelings with new forms now, and more, and more." Discord counted the bugs as they entered the room with more color.
"NO!!! What are you doing?! Hunger motivates the army for conquest!!!" Chrysalis stated.
"But conquest doesn't solve the species hunger issue." Discord retorted.
"And your point is?!" Chrysalis barked.
"What army will there be to conquer with if they're all dead?"

"Chrysalis, you can conquer and steal as much love as you'd like but once it's all out, what will be next for your people?" Discord tried to reason with her.
"I-..... I-..." Chrysalis stammered not knowing how to retaliate.
"You do still care about them, don't you? If you really want what's best for them, then you'll stop trying to expand an empire beyond the badlands, and try to share the love you have for them." Discord stated, as Starlight and the others entered the room.
"Please, it's the better and easier solution." Thorax pleaded with his mother.
"You can be the leader your subjects deserve." Starlight stated.
"Yeah..... What they said...." Trixie added.
Chrysalis looked down at the ground in contemplation, before ultimately giving a look of recognition.
"I.... I really do want what's best for them....." Chrysalis merely stated, as she looked at the changelings with a frown on her face.
She felt emotionally attached to all of them, as she single hoofedly raised and gave birth to the entire hive.
And her love for her subjects caused an energy within Chrysalis to release from her chest as she levitated in the air, destroying her own throne and the walls of the top chamber of the hive in the process.
As the smoke cleared, Starlight dispersed the shield made to protect her friends, as they saw that everypony who was trapped in the cocoons were freed.
Even more surprising, they saw a sparkling, blue, crystal changeling that stood in Chrysalis's place.
As she stared at her new form in bewilderment, Thorax walked up and embraced her with a hug, which she warmly reciprocated.
"Starlight? What happened?" Twilight asked her protege, as she got up from her cocoon.
"We defeated the changelings with no magic at all, and... they're all kinda... good now...."
