“I’m so glad we got everything I need for my lineup of dresses, thanks for accompanying me.”
“Rares Ah hope this is the last store because whenever ya’ll say just one last store ya’ll go to another one.”
“Nonsense Applejack darling, you have your geode with you and your super strength so all the weight of those shopping bags mean nothing to you. I assure you I’ll repay you after this.”
“Ah’m talking about ya’ll need to have self-control girl.”
It’s another day at Canterlot Mall, Rarity asked Applejack to accompany her for Ardee isn’t available to accompany her. It was almost closing time and the farm girl cannot see where she is going with all the shopping bags she’s carrying while Rarity leads the way. Out of the next corner Sci-Twi bumped into them for all the shopping bags AJ was sent flying.
“Goodness Twilight at least watch where you’re going.” Rarity said while picking up the things she and Applejack bought. The fashionista sees which happens to be one of those inventions the egghead and her bf invented to track any Equestrian magic that got leaked into their world. “Darling please don’t tell me-”
“Yes,” Sci-Twi replies, picking up the tracking device. “There is not one but three things on the tracker that picked up Equestrian magic.”
“Oh my goodness gracious I hope it can’t be that bad.”
“There is another problem though.”
“Attention all shoppers the mall will be closing please proceed to the nearest exit.”
“Great just our luck. Now what are we going to do?”
“I tried to contact the others but no response and Sunset Shimmer insisted on going here even though she’s sick which I told her not to and we’ll take care of it. Coming back tomorrow isn’t a good idea for who knows what will happen if we leave those three floating objects behind. The other option which Sunset suggested and I cannot believe we’ll be doing it.”
A little later after everyone in the mall has left and the mall is now closed.
“Can we just do a quick check at the baggage counter?”
“Rares Ah doubt anyone would steal anything from your stuff. They ain’t gonna find anything worthy in them.”
“How dare you call them worthless!”
“Shh, quiet someone’s coming.”
Horrible and ridiculous the three girls hid in some part of the mall until everyone left. They could hear footsteps getting closer which could be the night guard as they all hid in a room. The footsteps stop for a moment but then continue on as the sound gets further away. The coast is clear as Twilight, Rarity and Applejack get out of the gender neutral restroom that is next to the male’s and female’s.
“Maybe we shouldn’t have gone with Sunset’s idea and sorta come back tomorrow,” Applejack said.
“Not to mention how scary and dark it is.” Rarity added while clinging tightly to her best friend’s arm.
“We made the call and stayed here and there’s no backing out. If we tried to alert the guard we'd be in a lot of trouble that they might think were sneaking in here.” Sci-Twi said and then got a signal on the tracking device. “They should be close by. Follow me.”
The egghead led the way as the other followed behind her very close. The signal got stronger and it wasn’t long they found the three items with Equestrian magic in them: a headphone, a sports drink and a purse. The items stopped in midair then suddenly flew away from them. The girls weren’t behind as they chased the three items then in an open area of the mall, the items went into separate directions.
“I call dibs on the purse!” Rarity said loudly.
“Not so loud.” Sci-twi shushes her. “Good idea, we will split and be able to get all three items quicker-”
“No, that's a bad idea, anything but that suggestion.”
“Could you stop grippin on mah arm woman.” Applejack tries to remove her arm from the fashionista’s tight grip. “Twi’s right, if we go after them one by one it will take longer. Besides, the moon is out tonight and its light is comin through the window above.”
“Fine, but I’ll use my phone’s flashlight if needed.”
“Just don’t get caught.”
Of course Rarity quickly went to the direction where the purse was. On the other hand Sci-Twi and Applejack agreed on which item to follow as the two split up, the egghead with the headphones and the farmgirl with the sports drink.

Meanwhile at the apartment where Sunset Shimmer lived.
*achoo*
“Stupid cold.” Sunset groaned as she grabbed another tissue and blew her nose.
“That’s what you get for playing games overnight and not getting enough sleep.” Dusk Eyes, her boyfriend said as he replaced the empty tissue roll with a new one.
“Please I don’t need a lecture.”
“As your next door neighbor and also your boyfriend I’m just letting you know this is for your own good. With not enough sleep will result to your body resistance being low which then comes a high risk of you being sick-”
“I know okay!”
“Moving off topic, are you sure about prompting those three to stay the night there at the mall?”
“I was supposed to join them-”
“And you are not going to. We all know how you after Rarity told us how broke in the boutique she works to help her with a window display. Your an expert at that but they're not. Also with your condition you will just end up slowing them down and even getting caught.”
“At least I helped her out with her problem. We’ll join up with them tomorrow before the mall opens.”
“Only if you are a little better by tomorrow if not I’ll take charge. Also there’s really no need to have the others rush there for I’ll be there early and see if I can get the attention of a security guard to let me in.”
“You’re right, they can manage by themselves.” Sunset then received a text from the egghead. “Ha at least they’re only dealing with a pair of headphones, a sports drink and a purse. I mean they’re only dealing with a bunch of harmless items, what could go wrong. Anyway goodnight babe.”
“Goodnight to you also bacon hair.” Dusk quietly left the room to head back to his. “And I wished you never had said that last part.”
