Lightning Dust Gets Arrested for Child Endangerment
Lightning Dust sat in frustration, glaring at the green mare with a black mane in front of her.
They were in an office at town hall, with a wooden floor, and white walls, decorated only with a bookshelf, a desk, and a window behind the desk. There were three chairs at the desk, two for guests and of course the office owner.
“So, what are these supposed charges you and your buddies made up officer?” Lightning Dust growled.
Anon didn’t even flinch at that.
“These “supposed” charges are very real, Dust. Namely, in that you nearly killed a child by forcing her into a highly dangerous, untested sting that violated every last safety protocol known to pony-kind. Heck, the child has no training and was too young to even have legally been let on your team, lady! “
Lightning Dust got defensive. “B-but I thought it would…” she trailed off.
“Kill her? Injury her and garner your show fame? She told me she wanted to back out and you were goading her still and pressed the launch button on that unsecured rocket against her will! And you did not even get permission from her parents or guardians to entertain the idea of her training to join your show. ” Anon seethed. “Not that her parents are ever really around…”
Lightning faltered a bit.
“You didn’t even have a proper license to run this joint! Not one of those death traps you used at your show was legal! You, morons, were gonna get yourselves killed; I would not have needed to bother arresting you because karma would have done you in before I could, but then you shoved a child into this unhinged, death trap of yours! “
Lightning scoffed. “Oh come on; it looked cool and we were all trained professionals-“
“Except for the kid whom you nearly killed,” Anon interjected. Anon took a moment and sighed.
“Honey, I am gonna be blunt: you’re bucked. Of all the charges you racked up for operating outside of safety protocols, letting an untrained child join you? And nearly killing her by forcing her into that deadly stunt? You’re going straight to the dungeons for that one.”
Lightning huffed. “Okay, I may have gone overboard with the stunt equipment, but it was all bought legally. What proof do you have against me to support your false claims of “child endangerment” and safety violations? We all were trained Wonder Bolts; we do crazy stuff all the time.”
Anon laughed evilly. “Well, you just admitted you did it by saying you went “overboard.” And all the blatant lethality of your stunt show equipment that violates safety laws. And then there’s the fact Scootaloo told me, and the whole town, including me, saw your stunt show. And you recruited this child right in front of a princess and Rainbow Dash. And of course, your little show is still standing over in the performance area. “
Lighting faltered a bit but rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, well… everyone in Ponyville is stupid! And you are stupid for using their testimony against me: the stupid ponies here fall for every stupid scheme every stupid villain who shows up comes up with! Just ask the Flim-Flam brothers!”
Anon used her magic to lift a pen and write something down on a nearby paper. “Uh-huh. I’ll be sure to let the town know you said that. Anything else?”
Lightning glared. “Damn straight: you are going off the word of an egotistical narcissist against me?”
“Rainbow Dash? Well, you got me there on the ego part but at least she follows OSHA compliance- POSHA I mean whoops. Forgot the pony part, never mind.”
Lightning raised a brow but rolled her eyes. “And Princess Twilight? Didn’t that neurotic nutcase go psycho over a letter and terrorize schoolchildren and then brainwash the town a few years ago? Yet you never charged her; you are arresting me but not her for doing worse?”
Anon shrugged.”Fair point again, you got me. But that was before I got hired and Celestia disciplined her. “
The Washout growled and stomped her hoof. “It’s not fair! You let people who did worse than me off the hook all the time! The “Mane Six” have committed serious crimes before, Trixie became a tyrant after that amulet got her, Starlight oppressed a town and nearly destroyed reality and Discord bothers people and does bad stuff all the time. Yet none of them are currently in prison! ”
Anon rolled her eyes. “Meh, Discord was sentenced to a thousand years of being trapped in stone and the princesses constantly keep him in line, Trixie was corrupted by that Alicorn Amulet and Starlight… well sure she evaded punishment but she's trying to redeem herself; but we are not talking about them, we are talking about you and how imprisoned you will be after I imprison you within the prison.”
Lightning huffed. “Yeah, we’ll you’re stupid.”
Anon glared at her. “You are a near-child murderer.”
“Your office looks drab!” The Pegasus shot back.
“Your ego makes Trixie look tame by comparison.” Anon retorted.
“Your colors look like someone barfed!” Said Lightning.
“You’re only in two episodes!” Said the green mare spat back.
“You’re not even an official character.” The daredevil retorted.
“ I star in more fanfics than you!” Anon finished.
Lightning got up. “You’ll never take me!” She tried, dashing toward the nearest window.
Anon pressed a button under her desk. “She’s trying to escape, get her!”
Within a second, a certain grey and yellow pegasus crashed through the window, landing atop Lightning.
“Ow.” The defeated mare uttered.
“Well done, Derpy. Now take her away.” Anon ordered
. Derpy nodded and hoof-cuffed the mare beneath her.
“There’ll be no muffins where you’re going, you maniac.”
Anon watched with satisfaction as Lightning was escorted out of the office, her rambles about how “unfair” this was echoing as she was escorted further down the hallway.
With that, Anon gave a satisfied grin and sipped her coffee in content.
“Another successful day on the job.” she thought.
