How to Redeem an Unredeemable

Shadow stood in front of a changeling with dark red almost crimson highlights in her hair and definitely looked like she weighed one hundred eighty pounds....one hundred eighty of almost pure lean muscle. "You must be Alloy, Ruby and Topaz asked me to squish you. Wanna spar now or after we've gotten to know each other?"

Alloy smirked, "Down to business already, I like you already and let's get this done now so we can enjoy the day in peace." Both young ladies removed their jackets and their muscular and yet attractively toned bodies were barely hidden by their t-shirts. The fight began and as it progressed Alloy's training from her parents was evident; however, Shadow's experiences in her street life were evident in the way she fought. "Come on Shadow just yield already!" Alloy said chuckling as she could see that she was most likely to lose the match."

"Buggy, I ain't surrendering, I've got ten pounds on you plus most of my life in experience."

"Cute, I've got at least four inches of height on you." Both girls were gasping for air and exhaustion. After an hour Shadow stood victorious and Alloy was on the ground just laughing that she had just lost her first match. Shadow offered her hand and when Alloy took she dragged Shadow down and and pushed off into the now very nearby swimming pool. Completely soaked Shadow reached reached for a pool noodle floating nearby and began to best Alloy with it.

Alloy tried her best to out swim the now armed wolf. Stonewall gave his hand to Alloy to help her out of the water but held her there for Shadow to catch up. "Sorry cousin, I don't want to get bit." Stonewall pushed his cousin back into the water and the waiting pool noodle of Shadow. Trident and his male cousins gawked as Shadow climbed out of the pool and her drenched shirt clung to her body.

"That was fun Alloy, probably the most fun I've had in years."

"Same, we should spar again sometime, you provide the challenge I need to get better. I might have some clothes that'll fit you, my cousin Trident is gawking....most of the male cousins are gawking at you. If I were a lesbian, I'd make a move right now."

"What's holding us back?" Shadow wasn't a lesbian as far as she knew but here she wouldn't mind it. Alloy was hell attractive and Alloy gave her a smirk - both girls were apparently sharing brain waves and thought it would be funny to proceed. Alloy moved first and before Shadow could properly react was kissed by Alloy.

Chrysalis and Lock-Bolt were ready to move in and break the pair apart since Shadow hates being touched. Ruby and Topaz were dying from laughter and Stonewall was chuckling and trying to keep a straight face. Emerald Joy screamed, "I knew it Alloy! I knew you were into women!" Trident and his cousins turned their heads in any other direction but toward the pair kissing in front of them.

"Crazy bug! Now everyone is going to assume I'm lesbian and our sparing match is like a shared kink!" Shadow hissed under her breath.

"You're into me I know it."

"In your dreams! Your parents looked appalled right now."

"That's their 'you went too far on your prank' look. They're fine."

"I knew the 'if I were a lesbian' statement held some truth in it, so be honest with me, are you a lesbian?"

"I just told my parents last week, and they said that they kinda expected it. I've tried dating men and they all stood me up or dumped me...had a couple cheat on me."

"That sucks, I'm surprised that your folks are letting me here considering my past as a criminal."

"They're firm believers in giving second or third chances. Considering I've always been more tomboyish in my activities and everything, they'd probably let us hang out. I'm sure that if we really tried to kill each other earlier, you'd obviously would beat me. I see the scars and as someone studying medicine, I betting some of those scars or defensive scars. Hell I'm changing the subject before I cross any lines, hungry? The food looks like it's all set up and ready to be consumed." The pair walked over where the family had gathered and Alloy's parents pushed Shadow to the front of the line.

"Guests first dear!" Alloy laughed and Shadow still being shoved to the front grabbed her nearest body she could reach and it happened to be Emerald Joy.

"Shadow, my cousins wanted me to relay this message to you."

"What message?" Shadow asked as she made her food choices.

"They wanted me to tell you that they consider you as family already, even though we're not even related. They believe that family is either by blood...or who you choose to spend time with. They wanted me to also tell you that your the cousin they choose."

"Tell them thank you for me, and also tell your older cousins that this is the safest I've felt in a long while." Alloy had finally caught up and let her presence be known.

"We already know, well know that you spent time in Tartarus but we don't care about why. Stonewall said that I should get a rabies shot if we actually become an item."
Emerald Joy laughed just because she knew that Shadow could be aggressive. Alloy laughed because she had seen Shadow's teeth up close and personal. Shadow just chuckled.

"That weirdo, at least I've had bitten anyone for about six months and counting." Alloy and Emerald couldn't tell if Shadow was serious or not. Ruby and Topaz joined the trio and they found a shady place to sit and eat. "Who wants to start betting that I could hold my own against Pharynx?"

"You beating my dad sounds like a fun wager, I'll pass the word via text and we'll see if my dad takes the challenge. Pharynx took the challenge and even though he won, Shadow made him dislocate his left shoulder to do it. Shadow was sore and bruised and crawled into a nearby lawn chair.

"Alloy, why do I feel like this was revenge for beating you in our match and then with the pool noodle?"

"Well duh! Because it was silly wolf!" Shadow made a poor attempt to whack the changeling with a pillow hrst had been in the now occupied lawn chair but stopped as her sore body objected. Alloy and Shadow laughed Pharynx grimaced as his shoulder was relocated and he spat out something about getting old.
