The Sorcerer
Arthur,
I met a peculiar man aboard the train today—he told me the most extraordinary story: Talking Ponies, Unicorns, The Magic of Friendship—Absolute Lunacy. I am fairly sure the man was insane but his conviction was unnerving. He spoke with such earnestness, as though he truly believed these delusions were real. Whatever the case may be for the man's sanity, it has given me a wonderful idea for an operetta...
Yours,
W. S.
This is a crossover with Gilbert and Sullivan's 1877 comic opera The Sorcerer. (I hear there's a whole lot of demand for those.)
Also, I wanted to try writing with a sort of stream-of-consciousness effect. Honestly, it’s not my favourite to read, let alone write, but I figured I’d give it a shot and, so far, I like how it's turning out. Depending on how it goes, and what people think of it, I might keep going. Or not. Either way, I’ll make sure it has an ending in the least.
