Capture The Scootaloo

Previous Chapter

Scootaloo skates down the streets of Ponyville, weaving left and right, waving at various ponies as she passes, eventually, she comes upon the clubhouse. Scootaloo stops and pulls open the door, peering into the room.

Nopony was inside yet, Scootaloo frowned slightly. It was rare for her to be the first to show up anywhere. She let out a short sigh and walked into the building, plopping into a chair while she waited for her friends, the minutes ticked by more and more, her friends continued to not show up.

Growing impatient, Scootaloo got up and made her way over to the large window in the back of the room, but that’s when she heard it, she heard hoofs move away from the window.

Scootaloo turned around to see nothing behind her. Slightly unnerved, she moved back to her chair. However, the moment she sat back down, she heard hoofsteps rapidly getting louder outside the door, even before she even had time to turn around, the door to the club house slammed open. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle burst into the building, both of them huffing and puffing like they were just racing. "Gee, took you guys long enough!"

Both of them froze, before turning to Scootaloo, confused, Apple Bloom speaking first. "How did you get here before us, you were in far behind" Sweetie Belle also spoke up, "and what happened to that eye patch you were wearing?"

Scootaloo's eyes widened slightly as she processed her friends' words. "What are you talking about? I've been here for ages, and I didn't have an eyepatch, what are you two on about?"

Apple Bloom grunted, "We were racing, the THREE of us, last time we checked you were still at everfree forest!"

Scootaloo was bewildered, "What?! I never went to the Everfree forest today! You two are definitely talking crazy!"

"Scootaloo," said Sweetie Belle "are you ok?"

Scootaloo was beginning to feel frustrated with her friends for thinking she was acting strange. "What do you mean, am I okay?! You two are the ones being weird!"

Slowly Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle backed away to the door, "I think you might have stayed up to late last night."

Scootaloo rolled her eyes at their comment. "I woke up at a perfectly reasonable hour this morning, thank you very much! And what were you guys even talking about earlier with this whole me wearing an eyepatch nonsense?"

Quickly, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle ran out of the tree house.

"Hey! Wait!" Scootaloo quickly got up from her chair and darted after them, racing out the door, but before she could even get to the ramp, she was tackled by who knows what and had a bag placed over her head. "Hey! What's going on?! Let me go!"

And like that she was picked up and marched off to Celestia knows where.

Scootaloo continued to struggle against her captor, but their grip remained iron clad. Her heart beat rapidly as her mind was filled with questions. Who was kidnapping her? Why had they taken her? Where were they taking her? "Hey! Where are you taking me?! Who are you?!"

Soon enough, they arrive at someplace, and Scootaloo is placed down on a chair, with only a bag on her head, whispers surrounded her. Scootaloo sat as still as possible, trying to make out the words of the whispers. She gingerly placed a hoof up to the bag over her head and discovered that it wasn't securely tied on. She slowly tugged it off of her.

What she saw was... unexpected, she was surrounded by ten ponies who were identical to her.

Scootaloo's eyes widened, she blinked a few times, unable to believe what she was seeing. She stood up in shock. "What?! Who are you all?! What's going on here?!"

One of them leaped and wrapped their hoofs around her "Simple, we're getting our sister back!"

Scootaloo attempted to pry herself free from the other pony's grip, but they had a vice-like grip on her. "Get off of me!" She spat. "What are you all talking about? I'm not your sister!"

Another one hugged Scoots "Oh yes you are, and you will be once our dad wakes up and is able to adopt you!"

Scootaloo struggled even harder against the hugs, desperately trying to free herself. She was even more confused now. "What?! You can't just adopt me! I already have parents, I don't want new ones! Just let me go!"

Yet another one hugs her "Oh yes you do, a new family that will love you forever!!!"

Scootaloo's anger was building now. She finally managed to free herself from the two who were hugging her. Her expression was a mixture of confusion and anger. "Stop this! I don't care what you say, I ain't leaving my family! Even if..." She trailed off, her mind trailing back to her friends abandoning her and running away. "I... I..." Scootaloo stopped protesting, her mind stuck on the memory of her friends. "Apple Bloom... Sweetie Belle... they both ran away from me... they acted like I was some kind of stranger..." A small voice in the back of her head was starting to wonder if she really did have another family.

Another one with an eye patch gave Scootaloo a pat on the head. "It’s alright, you're never a stranger here!"

Scootaloo felt the gentle touch on her head, the small voice in her head growing louder. A feeling of doubt was slowly creeping into her mind. Perhaps the clones were right? Perhaps she really wasn't a stranger here. She glanced down to the eye patch of the pony next to her, the memory of Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle mentioning an eye-patch flooding back. "Uh... excuse me... why is there an eye patch on your face?"

"Oh, that," -they hesitated for a bit- "well since you our sister, A shard of glass shot into my eye, out dad told me that it may take a few weeks to heal."

Scootaloo softened slightly, hearing the filly’s explanation. It sounded plausible, though the voice in her head was still screaming at her that something was wrong with all of this. She looked down at her hooves. "Um... what about... you said you're all my sisters... what are your names?"

"Oh... about that, we don't really have name, unless you want to call us all Scootaloo, Just Call me Eye patch."

Scootaloo's eyes widened slightly in surprise. "You... you're all named Scootaloo too? That's... kind of strange." She looked at the other clones, their identical bodies causing a shiver to go down her spine. This whole situation was starting to become unsettling. She attempted to change the subject. "You... you called one of you 'dad.' Where... where is he?"

"He's in the med bay, got into another explosion earlier."

"Explosion...? This happens often?" Scootaloo's uneasiness grew, how often did these explosions happen? Was it safe around these ponies? Her instincts were screaming at her to run, but for some reason, she didn't want to. Something about these ponies where keeping her grounded.

"Yep!" -Eye Patch grab her hoof and drag her to the med bay, a gray stallion sleeping soundly- "This is our father, Glistening Multiply."

Scootaloo looked down at the sleeping stallion, taking his appearance in. "Uh... he's asleep right now, huh? Are you going to wake him up?"

"ohhhh, he still under the anesthesia, he'll wake up soon."

"Oh... I see." Scootaloo fidgeted with her hoof, not quite sure what to do with herself. She was still incredibly confused at the situation she was currently in, but her desire for answers overcame her growing uneasiness. "So... when your... dad wakes up, what's going to happen?"

"Well, considering when he will probably wake up, he will send all 11 of us to bed."

"11 of you...?" Scootaloo looked around, counting the number of clones in the room. "When... when you say that there are 11 of you... are you... counting me as one of you...?"

"Well of course silly, you're our sister after all."

Scootaloo hesitated for a moment, the word 'sister' still feeling strange to her. Her mind began to swirl with a mixture of emotions. Part of her still felt like she shouldn't be here... but at the same time, she couldn't deny the feeling of belonging that was slowly growing inside her. "U-Um... right. Sisters..."

from another room, something beeps, Eye Patch perks up, "come on, let's have dinner, it's your favorite."

Scootaloo follows behind Eye Patch, the word 'dinner' causing her stomach to grumble. She still had so many questions swirling in her mind, but the promise of food piqued her interest. "What's for dinner?"

"Like I said, it's your favorite."

Scootaloo raised an eyebrow at the response. Her favorite food was hay burgers, but she highly doubted that these ponies would have that, especially as they were completely identical to her. Nevertheless, she followed Eye Patch into the dining area, trying to get a glimpse at the food on the table.

Scootaloo's mouth dropped open in surprise. She could hardly believe what she was seeing. The ponies really did have their favorite food prepared. "How... how did you know I like hay burgers...?"

Eye patch sat at the table "we all like hay burgers silly"

Scootaloo took a seat at the table, still bewildered that the ponies knew her favorite food. "I... uh, I guess you're right...” She picked up the hay burger and took a big bite out of it, savoring the taste. It appeared that the ponies were right, they seemed to know her better than she knew herself. This only deepened Scootaloo’s confusion and trepidation. She knew she should feel alarmed, but something about being around a family of her own seemed so soothing, Scootaloo finished her hay burger, her stomach now full. As she licked the last of the crumbs off her mouth, she glanced around at her 'sisters.' Their resemblance to her was so uncanny, it was unsettling. But at the same time, being around them felt so familiar, so homely.

She looked down at her hooves, her mind racing with thoughts. These ponies had kidnapped her, called her their sister, and knew her favorite food… and yet, she felt more comfortable around them than she had around her friends just before, her thoughts returned to her previous friends. They had run away from her, treated her like a stranger. Maybe… maybe this was where she truly belonged?

Scootaloo watched as each of her sisters left the dining room, presumably to head to the bedroom. Her mind was still swirling with conflicting feelings. She knew that she should be questioning all of this, but the idea of having a large family, one that seemed to understand her so well, was drawing her in like a moth to a flame, she stood up from the table, hesitating for a moment before following her sisters to the bedroom.

Looking around the room, her eyes widened at the sight of the bunk beds. She had never seen so many beds in a single space before. Her eyes darted to the single sleeping bag, realizing that it was most likely meant for her. She took a few cautious steps forward, the situation becoming more and more surreal with every passing minute.

With a deep breath, she laid down in the sleeping bag, the soft fabric caressing her body.

Glistening multiply entered the room, one by one giving a small peck on the foreheads of the sleeping fillies, including her, before he left, he said only a few words. "Good night my little ones." Afterwards, he closed the door.

She closed her eyes, trying to push the thoughts away as sleep slowly started to take over.
