Dragons are virtually indestructible creatures, right? There is a reason why they are the stuff of legend in stories. Their strength and resilience knows no bounds… unless their name is Scales Solace. In which case, he is a little dragon and isn’t indestructible yet.

After a good deed goes wrong, Scales finds himself with a broken leg and forced to rest to recover. Normally, he wouldn’t be too thrilled about staying put, but fortunately for him, he has Princess Cadence to keep him company.

While watching over him, it comes to Cadence’ attention that Scales has a lot more needs than she realizes. And also that she knows very little about the dragon race. It doesn’t help that literally all of Equestria knows nothing else about dragons either…

Luckily for Cadence, she knows just the bookworm who does happen to know everything. Including information that will help her better understand dragons as a species so she can give Scales the proper attention he needs.
