Past Sins AU: mother midnight

Hi my name is midnight Ruby I was a 18 year old girl I wore a dark purple skirt with three stars on the right side that look like the North Star a dress that splits in the middle below the waist of violet and a slightly lighter purple than the skirt I also wore knee-high boots that are the same color as my dress except the bottom of the boot set were a light blue, (So basically just like midnight Sparkle in the Equestria Girls Friendship Games movie except she doesn't have wings or a horn and she is tan skin like your average human from Earth) thought I was a human, I could use dark magic when all other humans can't use magic at all. That is until one day my mother told me what we actually are, it went a little like this.

I walked up to my mom and asked. "Hay mom?"

"Yes honey?" She replied.

"you you said that once I turned 18 you tell me why we have magic of any kind when other people don't and well my birthday was yesterday I'm 18 now so could you tell me please?" I asked after getting my mom's attention.

" oh yes I did say that didn't I, well to answer your question we weren't born humans both of us were born in Equestria and yes I do mean the same Equestria that is on from the show My Little Pony, you have a twin sister at least your sister is a mortal Pony, before the princesses were able to banish me to this world I gave her up to a family in Canterlot." She told me.

I on the other hand am a traditional nightmare the same type of creature from dungeons & dragons

"So basically either an earth pony or a unicorn that has a flaming mane and tail and fetlocks, what about me?" I asked her

"You look like a Ponified midnight Sparkle from the EQG world, but don't worry the Equestria Girls world doesn't actually exist I believe it was just a ploy to sell more toys, oh and I was a Unicorn nightmare." She told me.

"have you ever tried to return to Equestria so you could see her again?" I asked my mom.

"Yes but after meeting your stepfather and realizing it wasn't worth the risk of leaving you and him vulnerable to this worlds government, if they found out that you and me are not actually from this world I don't want to think about what they would do to you two."She told me.

"Okay thanks for telling me Mom I'm going to go in my room and play some video games and listen to some music." I told her.

I was playing a modded version of Fallout 4 listening to the modded radio station Equestrian friendship radio
It was around 12:00 a.m. it started to happen a meteor shower that's when my face, forehead and back started to burn and then finally the rest of my body, it was so intense that I eventually blacked out.

I eventually woke up but then I noticed I felt different like my whole body was different, reading from a fanfics with similarities to this I decide to see what happened, first I checked my hand only to see hooves, my feet suffered the same fate as my hands I felt what I guess we're wings I checked my Ford and found a horn I also noticed my clothes were too loose on me so knowing that ponies don't usually wear clothes I took those off, after checking everything I could see without a mirror I decided to go to the body length mirror near my room closet, it took me awhile for me to figure out how to walk like a quadruped but after like the 100th time falling on my face or ass or would that be flank now, I was able to get to the mirror and it turns out mom was right I do look likea Ponified midnight Sparkle.

That's when I hear a disembodied voice say. " hohoho what do we have here in a Nightmare pony hybrid outside of their own domain what are the chances of finding one here?"

Recognizing the voice I say. "all right I know that's you Discord what do you want?"

That's when Discord popped up out of nowhere and said. "Well if you must know equestion is in need of some help."

"Okay what kind of help?" I asked.

"Well have you read past sins? Discord replied with his own question.

"I've read most of it but not all of it." I answered him.

"Well you see my dear, the universe where I and you and your mother consequently come from is that exact same universe, well maybe not the exact same, there are a few differences like the fact that Celestia will get there a little too late to stop the ritual to bring back Nightmare, that is where I need your help, I need you to stop the ritual before it finishes, I don't care if you stop it at the point that makes it so nothing happens or stop it just in time so Nix does actually appear, just stop it before it finishes, after that I don't care what you do, do whatever you want, just make sure to stop the ritual before it finishes." Discord told me.

I thought a while about it and then said. "Sure but on two conditions, one my parents get to come too, after all I'm pretty sure my mom will be ecstatic to see my twin sister again and my stepfather well mostly so he's safe from the US government since from what I know about Equestria's government they won't kidnap you and try to experiments on if you're an alien or has spent time around aliens for a certain amount of time, oh and since you're probably going to split us up so I'm the one who actually stops the ritual so the second condition is give me and my parents pip-bucks and allow us to use all the mods that I have on the game also the pip-buck will allow us to find each other once I'm done stopping the ritual." I said.

" actually now that you want your parents to come with you, I could send all of you to stop the ritual though I'll probably have to make your father a earth pony since he doesn't know how to use magic or fly, but yeah that could work." Discord told me.

"What about instead of earth pony you turn him into an earth nightmare." I suggested.

"Ooh that's a brilliantly chaotic idea, two full Nightmares and a Nightmare pony hybrid to fight against the Children of nightmare it also seems ironic that two creatures that Nightmare Moon is named after are going to fight them ooh this this is sooo juicy, very well once you tell your parents what we have decided I will send you and them to Equestria along with the items and abilities you ask for." Discord said.

So I head out of my room and head for the stairs but when I get to the stairs I stop and get a little nervous thinking I might trip and fall down the stairs.

I really hope I don't fall down these stairs it's going to hurt a lot I mean I know Alicorns such as myself at least I think I'm still considered an Alicorn even though I'm basically guessing I'm half pony half nightmare but still I hope I have the healing factor of one." I say to myself.

The first three steps nothing happened I went down them normally but on the fourth step I tripped fearing the worst I close my eyes and embraced for impact but when I didn't feel any tumbling or any of that sort of thing I opened my eyes and saw I was hovering, looking back over my shoulder I noticed my wings were flapping.

"Huh Alicorns have the instincts of pegasi I believe and if pegasire anything like birds, then flying can be more of an instinctual thing, explains how baby ponies like pound cake can fly at such a young age."

Getting closer to the ground I finally hear my step dad say. " wow so this is what you look like as an equestrian and I got to say if I were equestrian I would ask you if we could go to bed so we could get it on."

"oh Dad please don't say that I'm is the last thing I need to hear in this predicament on the other hand or I guess hoof if you agree to it you might actually get your wish." I told him

That's when Mom asked. "What do you mean honey?"

And so I told them everything Discord told me and the conditions I said for me to help of course mom agreed because she really wanted to see my twin sister again my stepdad agreed because he thought it would be cool to have both fire powers and earth pony strength.

"all right Discord." I said. " we're ready let's get to equestrian stop these cultists."

"Ooh lovely then let's get started shall we." Discord said appearing out of nowhere.

"All right first let's turn your stepfather into an earth nightmare." He said snapping his fingers doing exactly that."

"Next will give you the right attire since you're using a bunch of Fallout 4 mods which I have looked at I will give you what is essentially a Proto stable Tech suit." Again he said snapping his fingers giving us the suits.

"Next I will give you your pip-buck." Once again Discord said snapping his fingers and lo and behold a pip-buck appeared on each of our four legs.

"And second to last." Discord says while snapping his fingers. "All of the Fallout 4 mods you have brought to life."

"Thanks Discord this will really help us beat the children of nightmare." I thanked him.

"Of course and now to open up a portal to Equestria so you can interrupt this ritual before they can finish it." He said.

He's then he snapped his fingers making a portal appear which both mom and my stepdad hop through and just before I went through myself I turned to Discord and said. " I hope to see you later Discord bye." And I was gone.
