Hey Twilight,

It's pretty late here but I wanted to get as much written down before I went to bed. I just finished speaking to Flamera, and there's quite a bit to unpack. A lot of it has to do with her upbringing which is rather dark, but she said it was fine if I told you.

I'll start with Flamera herself. She says that shes a demon, but is also a human. She knows next to nothing besides a handful of info given to her by her grandfather. Her mother and siblings (2 brothers) do not have any magic in them. Her grandfather on the other hand seems to share the same abilities as her so I'm assuming it skips a generation? Her relationship with her grandfather, he lives in a different city and shes only seen him around 3 times in her entire life.

According to Flamera, puberty is around the time a demon will start experiencing their own magic. Flamera herself was 12, almost 13 when she first had it happen. She had gotten her period at the exact same time, so I assume its related to puberty like she said. (a period is something women here get that signifies the beginning of puberty). A good point to not here is when she was transforming back into her regular demon form after being corrupted, she threw up this black like substance. She had no idea it happened but she said that its something only demons do. Her demonic emergence made her grow pointed ears, fangs and a tail. Her sclera's were also black with slit pupils. She told me she threw up this very same liquid when this all happened. It's apparently just apart of demon vomit? The times where its cause of her demon magic only have her throwing the black stuff up, but when shes actually puking its also present in there. Apparently she had no idea that it wasn't normal until her mother told her.

On the topic of her mother, she tried to keep her bloodlines heritage a secret from her children. Flamera has two brothers, which like mentioned earlier don't retain any magic. One of her brothers named Cosmic Eclipse was thought to have magic due to his behavioral issues as a child but it never came to be. She did mention that while they aren't demons, they still have some habits that are from it. She said all four of them have a appetite for meat more than the average person.

Flamera was able to fully transform starting at 15, following an argument between some of her family members which caused her to snap. For context, she had been homeless for the past 3 years living off and on with her grandmothers from both sides of her family. I feel terrible that she had to conceal all this stuff for so long. If she didn't come to CHS I couldn't imagine what would happen to her...

For the past week or so she was unconsciously letting her magic out. During the Fall Formal we danced, which is where I used my geode to confirm she was the masked creature. She had this energy during our dance that was borderline manic. I'm struggling to find the words to describe how she acted. Using my geode I uncovered how powerful she felt in the current moment. She was so confident in every step. Maybe the right word to use is wild? She wasn't acting out of control, in fact it was quite the opposite. I've never used my geode on someone with magic like this, it's like her mind was electrified by it. She mentioned previously that she was diagnosed with a few mental issues (depression and anxiety), but I highly doubt that's what made her this way.

The most alarming part of our dance though was the glimpses of black I caught of her eyes. Her pupils were slit the entire time if I remember correctly. With her letting her magic out over the past week I didn't notice anything because the change was so subtle. But during parts of our dance I saw her scleras go black. It was hard to see under the darkness of the gym, but I'm confident in what I saw. I haven't asked her about why it happened, but her magic is obviously powered by her emotions.

After the dance me and the girls went out to a to eat at a restaurant, and had ran into her after we were done. She was in her cloak and mask like usual. I was really hesitant about calling her name but I did anyway which made her stop dead in her tracks. Everything going on was completely interrupted by this swirl of Equestrian magic that hit her mask. I should note that this was the first time any of us saw something being infected by magic. She tried ripping her mask off but it was stuck to her face. She doesn't know what happened either, she lost consciousness a few moments after her mask was hit. What came next made our stomachs churn. Her flames spread everywhere as her body started to gruelingly transform. We all winced at her bones cracking and her limbs being contorted. Both me and Twilight had terrible transformations too, but this was something else entirely. I think the magic that was put onto the mask corrupted Flameras own magic? I mentioned previously that her demon form shares a lot with what I turned into at the Fall Formal, but what she turned into was beyond terrifying...

If you come through the portal I have pictures of her, but I'll try my best to explain her appearance. (god I really wish there was a way to put pictures into this thing without a spell....)

For starters, her mask was embedded into her face. Her top set of teeth looked like they were apart of the mask, but she apparently had two rows of top teeth. Her jaw was mostly obscured by her mask thing. Her ears became more exaggerated, and they had tuffs of hair coming out of them. She switched between walking on two and four legs. Her torso had blue and red spikes jetting out of them. She had these tentacle things under her ears which she never used? She had an extra set of horns and her hair went all the way to her lower back. The most startling feature was her face however. She had this giant eye on the top of the mask followed by two sets of 3 eyes below it. It seemed like her vision primarily came from the larger eye but it was hard to tell when she was trying to kill us.

I wont go into detail about her own story, but I feel awful for her.... She mentioned how excruciating her pain was trying to withhold her demon form. The screams she belted out as she was being corrupted... It was monstrous... After we broke the mask and she returned to normal her face was mortified. She screamed in response to seeing us and slammed her hands into the ground, causing cracks to form and flames to seep out of them. Oddly enough they didn't hurt? I doubt Flamera knows why that was but I'm under the impression it was a distraction of some sorts. She fled the scene after that screeching. Its something that she would have never done around anyone, including me. Our relationship is pretty good, but was being restricted by how impersonal she was. She's usually one to stick her ground, but the fact she fled in fear was my first look into the real her.

I had Twilight hack into her cell phone in order to find her location and she was in a wooded part of the city. I guess I was so caught up in the moment before she flew away that I didn't take in her appearance. It's truly remarkable honestly. I called her name tentatively and she panicked a bit before flying away but I somehow managed to hold onto her while she was flying? (she must have crazy upper back strength). I was shocked to see how large her wingspan really was. My worried obviously outweighed my genuine curiosity of her magic, but she started to loose control mid flight, which is how we dipped into the forest again and she hit her wing on a tree.

I just don't know how to explain how I felt as I watched her act like a cornered animal. Even in Equestria something like this would never happen. While Flamera wasn't there to witness any of the magical events that happened to our school, she still was aware of them. I told her something along the lines of "Its okay I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to help", and the way she spat out "BULLSHIT" really stuck out. We had inadvertently exposed Flamera, an actual demon, to dozens of random people. Magical geodes are one thing, but shes a human that can transform into a 8ft tall demon at will? People are going to be terrified of her... She already thinks she's a monster, a freak... Her mind was screaming it the entire time we were up in the air. I want to help her see that her demon form is something to love and embrace. I'm worried how the general public will view her when she transforms though. And while I know CHS is more than familiar with magic, I'm honestly afraid how the rest of the school will react. People thought that I would turn into a she-demon again even though your crown was taken back to Equestria. I'm worried something similar will happen with Flamera. Not many people from school were there to watch her go berserk besides the girls and I, but word will inevitably spread that it was Flamera.

I think the goal at least for now is to get her more comfortable being in her demon form around me, and then maybe the rest of the girls? She's not exactly thrilled at the idea of all of us hanging out though. I mentioned how me and Twilight were both investigating her alter ego and that Rainbow Dash has raved about how cool she is. While surprised she was actually kind of thrilled to hear it?

I've been writing for around an hour and Flameras is already fast asleep on the other side of the bed. Not sure what I was expecting but shes an extremely quiet sleeper. She's still in her demon form though. I was kind of worried her horns would make it hard for her to sleep. They aren't even going into my side of the bed.

It's been a long ass night and I really need to sleep. I'm eager to see how you respond to all of this!! Message back when ever you get a chance!!

i lied in my other AN, this is the only journal entry. my brain is way to focused on the morning after so ill probably write that and make it its own story so HAHA FOLLOW ME!!!! /hj. was almost tempted to write in a section where flamera whips out the journal while sunset isnt looking and draws clodsires all over it. dont want to ruin the moment though (although she eventually does draw clodsire in it). i have some other works in the..... works??? that i need to edit to fit the crazy flamera lore i have on fimfiction. im really just writing this in random order so bear with me if you're heavily invested in my silly little eqg oc. if theres any grammar mistakes know that english IS my first language, my brain just works rly fast or something idk. ill probably edit it if i catch any
