Chapter 2: the runaway engine

"Where are you going?" The signalman asked.
"Just puffing down the line" twilight said nervously.
"You're escaping from scrap are you?" The signalman asked.
"Well... I..." Twilight tried to explained.
But the signalman smiled. "I want to help, you can hide in that shed right there" he said pointed at the sightings.
Soon twilight, her coaches and brakevan reversed to the sheds and her crew closed the door.

Later that day, twilight hear the diesels rolling around hunting her down. But then their was trouble. A diesel came up to the sheds, twilight tried to hold her breath. Then the diesel reversed and left. Twilight was relief.
"That was a close call" said twilight relief.
Soon it was night and twilight puffed away through the night.

Twilight was puffing down the line. But then their was trouble, twilight has ran out of coal.
"I'm out of coal!" Twilight cried.
But then she hear diesel horns. Twilight started to panic.
"Driver! Fireman! Quickly hide in my coaches" twilight cried.
As her crew hide in the coaches, a big diesel came up along side her.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here? A runaway steamie? That will be good for scrapping" said the big diesel.
He was coupled up to twilight and rolled away to the scrapyard.

At the scrapyard the diesel pulled over by the manager of the scrapyard.
"What do you want me to put this escape engine?" The diesel asked.
"Put them by the sidings over there" said the manager.
Soon the diesel put twilight, her coaches and her brakevan in a sidings.
"Enjoy your last days in the sun" the diesel laughed at twilight and set off.
Twilight realized that she, her coaches and brakevan are done for.
