The Storm King stood above a platform with several knick-knacks and collectables sitting on a table, as numerous of his subjects formed a line in front.
Curious, Tempest approached the king on what he was up to.
"Your excellency, what is all of this, if I may ask?"
"Oh, well I'm glad you asked Tempest. You see, I've been noticing how I have all this stuff I've plundered from numerous kingdoms that I don't really need. I mean, I've got some kind of blade.... Spiny thing that.... Seems to blow wind in my face which I find very annoying! So, I decided to auction some of this to my subjects, so THEY can figure out what to do with them."
"Oh! Oh! I'll give you Twenty storm bucks for that sponge cake!" Grubber requested his superior.
"What? This? I just bought it here cuz I figured I'd go hungry while bidding, might as well eat it now." Storm King said, as he gulped the cake in one bite, leaving Grubber disappointed.
A Storm Creature then made its way up the platform, requesting the blade spiny thing the king mentioned.
"That'll be fifty storm bucks."
The creature looked into its pockets and pulled out a forty.
"Oooooh sorry, but I'm afraid that'll be ten more..... Yeah....."
The creature gave a sigh of disappointment, as it left the auction.
Another Storm Creature then approached and offered a fifty.
"Now we're talking! Here, knock yourself out."
The creature then took the object, then proceeded to do as his majesty commanded, as he fell unconscious.
"Pfft, Neanderthals......."
"Would it be acceptable if I requested the stripped ball on the counter?" Tempest asked her boss.
"Why?"
"For personal reasons, sir."
"Very well, that'll be thirty storm bucks."
Tempest looked into her pockets, before she lifted a fifty with her hooves.
"Ooooh! That's too much. Yeah, that'll have to be a thirty exactly."
Tempest merely raised an eyebrow at his ridiculous requests, before pulling out a thirty exactly.
"Pleasure doing business with you." The king commended, as he gave the ball to his commander.
Grubber then raised his paw.
"WHAT"
"If I can't hath the sponge cake can I at least hath the ice cream?" Grubber asked his king.
"one hundred storm bucks."
Grubber looked into his pockets, and saw that they were empty.
"Aww, that's too bad." Storm King mocked the underling.
A Storm Creature then walked up and pointed a finger at the Storm King bobble head.
"Fifty five storm bucks."
The Storm Creature pulled out fifty five storm bucks.
Storm King prepared to grab it,
Only for the creature to eat the storm bucks without thinking.
"GET OUT!" The king ordered, as the creature walked away in fear.
"I'm surrounded by idiots....." Storm King mumbled to himself.
Another Storm Creature moved through the line, requesting the daring do and power ponies comics.
"ten storm bucks."
The creature pulled out a ten, as the king gave him the comics.
"You know, this whole bidding thing is really staring to roll with me. I could get used to this." The king stated confidently.
"You're almost running out of things to bid your majesty." Tempest warned her superior.
"Eh, I'll just bid more stuff off the next things we plunder from the next kingdom we invade."
"Why do you insist on pursuing this goal?"
"I like bidding!"

"Right......"
"Hey, Temphest, can I borrow your storm bucks?" Grubber requested his superior.
"I'll see what I can-"
"Oh yeah! I forgot to mention, the storm bucks must be previously owned by the creature that transacted them. No outside help." Storm King affirmed, as Grubber groaned in frustration.
Soon, a Storm Creature budged their way through the others as they all yelled in their language to get in the back.
"Hey hey hey hey hey! No cutting in line!" The king barked.
The creature pointed at the giant, golden bit at the center of the desk.
"First of all, you need to pay for that with storm bucks. Second, you do realize that cutting in line is punishable by imprisonment!" The Storm King yelled, as the creatures yelled at the one in the front to get back in line.
'Hey bub! Get in line like everyone else!' One of them said translated to English.
'You've got three seconds to move or I'll poke ya!'
'You inconsiderate jerk!'
'No fair! When I cut in line I get apprehended by security so why should YOU get away scoot free?!'
'I'M SCREAMING BECAUSE THEY ARE!!!'
The ones at the back threw their weapons at the one in front, as he ran away in a panic while the others chased after him.
"No no no! Don't leave! I haven't finished bidding my..... Junk...... Ragh!" The Storm King groaned in frustration, as he hadn't finished getting rid of his useless knick-knacks.
"Still think bidding is a good hobby sir?"
"Get off my back Tempest, I can't deal with you right now."
"You know, you could get rid of all this stuff much quicker if you simply lowered the price, and you allowed Grubber to borrow my storm bucks."
"Yeah! Come on I want some ice cream."
Storm King looked at the junk he had, noticing how there was still ten more pieces of junk he had yet to auction off, then looked at the storm bucks he had collected, before letting out a huge sigh.....
"Fine, Grubber can borrow Tempest's storm bucks."
"Yes! Thank you your mighty one." Grubber thanked, as Tempest gave him one hundred storm bucks, and he purchased the ice cream with it.
"Sigh.... I think I'm just gonna call it a day, creatures can buy the junk with the bucks they have without me, they'll know how much it costs by the tags I placed near them."
The Storm King placed tags on the nine items he had, before leaving to his bedroom to catch some Z's.
When he left, Tempest looked at the price of The Storm King's socks.
Which costed nine thousand storm bucks............
Tempest ultimately rolled her eyes in disappointment.
