Angels Insomnia

It started randomly. Angel had no trouble sleeping in his life. Even though there were small flaws, He fell asleep pretty easily. But one night would change everything. Fluttershy said goodnight to Angel, gave him a kiss and turned off the light. But when Angel went to sleep, He couldn’t. He tossed and turned searching for that comfy spot, But he can’t find it. “Why can’t I fall asleep?” He asked himself. And the next day, he was pretty tired. Of course Angel still acted like his usual self.

But he can’t process words the right way, and has trouble hearing. Fluttershy noticed it after a whole week of sleepless nights. She decided to tell Angel what was going on. And why he couldn’t fall asleep. “Angel,” She started the conversation. I think you have insomnia.” “Huh?” Angel asked. He still has trouble hearing since he has not been able to sleep for the past 3 days. “Insomnia. It’s a disorder where you have trouble sleeping.” Fluttershy continued. “Well, it looks like I got it. I have not slept in three days.” Angel said. “Well, you need to rest. So you need to go take a nap. Okay?” Fluttershy told the tired bunny. “Okay.” Angel replied.

Angel went to his bed and pulled the sheets closer to him, and tried to fall asleep. But his insomnia kicked in. He tried so hard. But he can’t fall asleep. This was not good, there needs to be something he can do to help him sleep. Just then there was a knock on the door. Fluttershy was in her room reading a book. So she didn't hear. Angel decided to answer the door himself. Maybe Fluttershy called an expert on how to help pets with insomnia. But who was at the door, was a little green alligator with purple eyes. It was Gummy.

“Hey Angel.” Gummy said getting his friend. “Hey.” Angel replied tiredly. He looked up at Gummy to reveal two bloodshot eyes and bags under them. He yawned afterwards. Gummy then spoke up. “Dude, you look very tired.” “I know, I have insomnia.” “You mean you’re having trouble sleeping?” “Yep.” Gummy was shocked. His best friend having insomnia was very bad. “How long have you not been able to sleep?” He asked. “A whole week.” Angel replied. “Oh God.” Gummy said.

“I was going to ask you to see if I can hang out with you but I guess I can’t” “I know i’m sorry.” Angel frowned. “But I promise you when I get rid of this insomnia, we will hang.” “Okay.” Gummy said as he left. Angel closed the door and went back to his bed, trying to sleep of course. But he can’t. Gummy was at the door. He could have been able to help Angel. But he left as soon as Angel closed the door.

Just then, Angel thought of something. “I wonder if maybe I should have some coffee.” He said. Coffee helps ponies get into shape. So if Angel has some, He could get rid of his insomnia. So he went to the kitchen and found Fluttershys coffee maker on the counter, He put the grinds in, and the water and pushed the buttons. Then it started brewing. “I hope this freaking works.” He said to himself. He grabbed the mug out of the cabinet and took the coffee pot and poured it into the mug.

Just as he was about to take a sip, His owner came into the kitchen and saw Angel taking a sip of coffee. “Angel!” She called. “Huh, what?” Angel asked as he turned around to see Fluttershy shocked to see him with a coffee mug in his hand. “What are you doing?” She asked. “I could not fall asleep so I made coffee so I can get back into shape. Face it. I can’t sleep.” “Well coffee is not going to help you get rid of your insomnia.” Fluttershy said. She grabbed the mug out of Angels hands and poured the coffee down into the sink.

“Why would you do that?” Angel asked. “It’s not going to help you.” Flutttershy said. “Well are there some type of medicine that can get rid of insomnia?” Angel asked. “No there is not.” Fluttershy asked. “I just want to go to sleep. And I can’t.” Angel whined. He then started crying as Fluttershy picked him up and hugged him. “Don’t worry, You are going to get a good night's rest tonight.” “How?” Angel said. He still had tears in his eyes when he looked up to his owner. “I’m going to stay with you until you fall asleep.” Fluttershy said. “Really?” Angel asked. “Yes. you can even sleep in my bed as well.” “Thanks Fluttershy!” Angel said. Hugging his owner.

It was now time for bed. Fluttershy picked up Angel and put him beside her in her bed. “Are you sure this is going to work?” He asked. “I’m sure this will work. Then you will have no longer have trouble sleeping. Since I will be right beside you all night long.” She replied. “But what is you have to go to the bathroom?” Angel asked. “Oh of course I will do that. But as soon as i’m done, I will be back right next to you.” Fluttershy replied. “Okay.” Angel said. “Now come closer to me.” Fluttershy said. Angel moves closer to Fluttershy. He still had bloodshot eyes and he wanted to go to sleep in fast.

Fluttershy wrapped her wings around him and pulled him close. Angel then felt his eyes heavier than before. It’s working. He is finally falling asleep. As Fluttershy rubs her wing on the back of Angels head. He finally closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep. “I think it worked. I think he finally fell asleep.” Fluttershy whispered to herself. Angel smiled as too now finally been able to sleep. He had gotten rid of his insomnia and was able to let his body rest after one whole week.

Fluttershy yawned and looked at Angel who was sleeping at last. She then started to whisper close to his ear to where he was still listening. “Okay Angel. I think you finally fell asleep. Now i’m going to rest my head onto yours and go to sleep myself.” She rests her head onto Angels and continues. “Tomorrow, I’m going to take you out to dinner as a reward for getting rid of your insomnia. You can even pick the place.” She yawned one more time and said her final words before she drifted off to sleep.
