Chapters 'Where am I?' I thought to myself as opened my eyes and looked around only able to find myself surrounded by darkness.
'Is It a dream? If so, then It's nice to know I'm lucid for once instead of It usually being out of my control,' I concluded to myself as I tried feeling around only to come into contact with something brittle-like.
'Feels weird," I said to myself as I tried pushing only to be shocked by how weak I felt.
'What the fuck? I mean I know I'm not the best In the muscle department but come on,' I complained to myself as I tried pushing again only to be quickly tired out.
'Alright fuck this,' I thought as I began trying to shove the brittle-like material In front of me as I began to feel everything around me begin to tilt causing me to panic at the unsuspected response to my attempts as I continued to fall.
'Ohshitohshitohshitohsh-,' I thought inwardly panicking until the darkness seemed to disappear as light suddenly seemed to break through while also simultaneously kicking me out of the darkness and into a now brighter environment while also onto a harder surface as I fell face first.
'Ughhh, of course with my luck I fall face first onto the- ground?' I question as I slowly feel the surface to confirm that It did indeed feel like I was on something rock-like.
As my eyes slowly got used to the brightness after being trapped In the dark the first thing I registered was the amount of eggs that surrounded me.
Taking In my environment I noticed how almost everything around me either lacked color or had some sort of greenish glow to It as I tried to figure out the purpose for It.
I then looked around me to see tiny white and black creatures all crawling out of their now broken grayish green eggs as they looked around hissing at each other which caused me to look down at myself only to find that I looked the same as them as I flexed my now darkened tiny fingers.
'Interesting dream so far, though why does all this look familiar?' I pondered to myself as I tried to figure out why I was feeling a sense of familiarity upon seeing these creatures until a loud hiss next to me broke me out of my thoughts.
HISS~
'Well sorry to break It to ya buddy but I don't find your tiny fangs and face all that scary,' I thought to myself slightly amused until we all heard a loud slam startling us and causing us to direct our attention to the source of the sound as a bigger and darker creature started making they're way over to us until they paused and their eyes widened at the sight of us.
"My Queen! They've hatched, they've finally hatched!" She said based on how her voice sounded as she sprinted back out of the room into some other room.
'Interesting sight to see dream, didn't expect to see a creature with the same features as Swiss cheese only taller and darker......though she looked familiar as well, WHY does she look familiar though?' I pondered to myself as I was starting to get annoyed at the 'on the tip of my tongue' feeling.
'Eh It'll come to me sometime, anyways If I'm lucid for this then let's see what I can do,' I think to myself as I try summoning Thor's hammer to lift me only to find that nothing happens.
'Huh, that's, weird, ok well let's try something else,' I think to myself waving off that failed attempt as I tried summoning something simpler to use like a cane only to once again find that nothing happened.
"Cahh-, Aghhh-," I tried to yell out as I got frustrated only to find out that I couldn't even produce words for some reason.
'Are you serious I can't even yell out In frustration properly!? What Is happening!? If I'm lucid I should be able to get what I want right? Unless, this Is a nightmare, but you can't have nightmares when you're lucid right!?' I thought beginning to slightly panic as I tried to calm myself down.
'Ok, OK, calm down, even If It Is a nightmare It's not real, and even If I do die I'll at least be able to wake up,' I told myself as I began to calm back down only to hear more than one voice this time begin to get nearer to us.
"take another lifeless ling"
"No ling blames you for that My Queen, It was out of your control"
"Yes, but It does nothing to take away the lives lost that day does It?" I hear a more motherly voice say In a slightly sadder tone as they suddenly stop just out of view.
"No, I...suppose It doesn't," I hear the familiar voice say as they both seem to stop In place for some reason until one of them speaks up.
"Well, all we can do now Is move on and honor them by raising this new generation of changelings," She said as It finally clicked for me.
'THAT'S what It was, changelings!' I exclaimed In my head as I looked around now recognizing the smaller Oreo versions of changelings.
'Anthropomorphic changelings at that, huh, I guess there could be worse creatures to dream about being like having to walk on all fours,' I thought to myself as I focused my attention back on the now-revealed figures as they watched us from a distance.
'Huh, wonder why the taller one Is the only one to have hair,' I pondered as I looked over her again seeing how her long dark blue hair reached past almost her whole back while her wings and tail? I think was also dark blue and translucent, not to mention the weird thing sticking out of the top of her head that had 4 small balls at the end of It while her horn looked jagged and chipped.
'You know If I didn't know any better I would think this somewhat taller changeling was.....wait what did she call her again?' I asked myself as my mind recalled an important fact that I overlooked.
My Queen
Ah, I see now.
You know THAT Queen Chrysalis who was also beginning to make her way towards me and the other baby changelings around me.
'Ok just keep calm, keep calm, as long as you don't draw attention to yourself she'll ignore you and pay attention to someone else,' I told myself as I did my best to hide away as much as I could In my egg to avoid her.
"Oh, this one seems to be hiding from me," I hear her say as I pray that she was talking about a different changeling and not me.
'She's talking about Thorax, she has to be, I mean he was also hiding In his egg If memory serves me correctLYYYYYY-' I thought to myself only to be suddenly lifted Into the air as I'm turned around and brought face to face with Chrysalis herself.
"You look so afraid of me," She said looking and sounding somewhat sad because of that though I paid no attention to It as I was focused on doing my best not to offend her In some way.
'That's cause I am, I don't know what this dream Is capable of making you do to me and I prefer not to find out,' I thought to myself as she looked past and below me causing me to look too as I see the others begin to make their way to her as one of them already near her legs begins to stretch their hands up at her.
All of a sudden that one Is picked up and lifted into the air as a light green glow surrounds them while I'm put back down on the ground causing me to focus my attention back on Chrysalis as she holds the small black and white changeling and begins to rub the frill like appendages on the back of their head.
Only the confusing part Is she never does that signature evil grin that was part of Thorax's back story, instead, she just proceeds to divert her attention to a different changeling doing her best to calm them If necessary or simply pick them up and hold them as she looks at each and everyone she picks up with this loving motherly smile.
'I don't know whether to be grateful or weirded out right now since I didn't expect my dream to show me a nice Chrysalis all of a sudden, not complaining but It's still a bizarre sight to see, though knowing my dreams It could change any minute,' I thought to myself as this continued for a good while even to the point where she picked me up again.
Though this time she seemed to notice that although I wasn't afraid of her I was still somewhat wary causing her to smile at the change.
"Even though you may be afraid of me I assure you I mean no harm little one," She said as she proceeded to hug me tightly for a couple of seconds which for some reason felt really nice until It ended with the other changeling that I forgot was there as she suddenly cleared her throat.
"My Queen, I believe we should let them rest while we figure out where to put them," She said causing Chrysalis to sigh as she put me down.
"Of course, let us go so they may rest for tomorrow," She said before looking back at all of us as she hugged as many of us as she could," I'm so grateful that you all managed to survive my little lings, I promise that for as long as I live I will always love and protect each of you," She said sincerely before letting us go and making her way out with the other changeling.
'Well that was pretty nice,' I thought to myself before I suddenly yawned and began to feel sleepy.
'Well all In all this has been a pretty good dream, too bad I probably won't remember most of this when I wake up,' I thought to myself as I began to lower myself to the ground and began to close my eyes.
'Maybe I should go watch MLP again sometime when I'm In the mood,' I thought to myself as I finally fell asleep.
'Mmgh, I don't want to get uppp, though seeing as I didn't hear my alarm go off I'm either late or maybe I got lucky and woke up before It,' I thought to myself as I tried to decide whether to take the chance to stay asleep or check If I was late.
'Eh might as well get It out of the way,' I thought to myself as I reluctantly opened my eyes but instead of finding my digital clock, I was met with a white surface that had black spots over It.
'What the-,' I looked on In confusion as my mind tried to catch up with what I was seeing until I shot up looking around me as I was met with the familiar sight of the baby changelings and gray stone-like area instead of my one-bedroom apartment.
'Wha-, I-I-I don't understand, why I am still here, I went to sleep, didn't I? So why I am still here?' I asked myself as I grew more and more confused.
'Ok, OK, It's fine, It's probably one of those dreams inside another dream situation, so you know what I'll just hurt myself, that'll get me out,' I concluded to myself as I began to use my tiny arms to lift my head.
'Ok, here, we, GO!' I yelled In my mind as I brought my face to the ground at full speed causing my forehead to suddenly flare up In pain.
'Aghhh! Fuck!' I thought as I grabbed my forehead which was now pulsing with pain as I tried rubbing It away In an attempt to distract myself from the reality of the situation I was slowly coming to terms with.
'No,' I thought to myself, 'This Is real now.'

Well here we go, my second attempt at a changeling story, let's just hope this one does somewhat better.
To be clear I might not update this one as frequently as my other story since I still am focusing on that one though I will do my best to update this one every now and again so I do hope your able to enjoy It somewhat.
Other than that comment and tell me what you liked or what you think I might need help with since any comment would be greatly appreciated and my main motivation for making stories.

It's been a few days since I realized my situation and.....
I don't know, how are you supposed to feel when your life has been upended out of nowhere and placed into an entirely completely different one?
Don't get me wrong being a changeling Is cool and all but that doesn't mean I wanted to be stuck like one.
I mean how did this even happen? All I remember Is going to sleep and....d-did I-no that's impossible, right? I mean I wasn't the pinnacle of health but I also wasn't unhealthy either and besides isn't that supposed to only have a low chance of happening?
I flop to my other side as I stare at the endless stone void in front of me.
'Though I guess there's no avoiding It Is there? I died, In my sleep of all things,' I concluded to myself as I balled my hands up, 'Of course, I mean what else could've possibly happened,' I thought bitterly as I laid on my back.
'I mean of course, It would be entirely unreasonable to be able to continue living my perfectly quiet and normal life of being able to enjoy my family's company and still be able to laugh and love each other knowing that we were all still ok and safe, but noooooo I suppose that would just be too fucking unreasonable because now I am here!' I yelled out In my mind now the only place I could convey anything.
'Alone, with no one else,' I thought as I curled Into myself.
*poke*
I was pulled out of my thoughts as I felt something nudging me In my now fully black body as I tried swatting It away In hopes they would get the message and leave me alone.
*poke* *poke*
Unfortunately, It seems I can't catch a break to be left alone with my thoughts as I'm repeatedly poked over and over again until I turn over with the biggest glare I can muster up as I face whoever was disturbing me.
The first thing I noticed was how quickly they backed up upon seeing my face causing me to smirk at their reaction until they bumped Into another group of baby changelings causing them to hiss In response as they backed up toward me before stopping and turning around to face me again.
I took advantage of their startled state to get a good look at them as I looked over their features.
Nothing really special separated them from all the other now black-backed changelings as they shivered In place except for their eyes which instead of being light blue like the others were light green instead.
'Well I guess It wouldn't be the changeling hive without Thorax here,' I thought to myself as his shivering started to calm down and he began slowly approaching me.
'I may hate my situation right now, but I could never take that out on Thorax, If theirs anyone here who deserves to get yelled at the least It's definitely him,' I thought to myself as I tried standing up only to stumble back down to the floor.
I then tried again but slowly this time before I saw a black hand appear In front of me causing me to follow the arm back to Its source as I saw Thorax with a hesitant smile offering me his arm which I took letting him slowly help me up as he helps me stay on my feet until I'm able to get used to the feeling and stand on my own.
'Though If Chrysalis Isn't a monster here then maybe It won't be so bad for him,' I thought to myself before taking a second to actually look around.
"Are ok?" I hear a voice next to me say as I turn to find the source only to come face to face with Thorax again.
'Wha-'
"Are, ok?" He said again looking slightly nervous.
'Wait he can talk!? Can I talk as well?' I pondered to myself as I went to open my mouth to try.
"Yes, fine," I manage to somehow get out since for some reason It took so much effort just to produce two words.
'I guess that makes sense since we're still a few days old,' I concluded to myself before we all heard a door opening causing all of the changelings to stop and pay attention to the noise coming closer.
A couple of seconds later a couple of grown changelings walk In followed by Chrysalis who then turns to them.
"Lings, I trust you will be able to achieve the task I have assigned to you 5?" She asked In a no-nonsense tone.
"Yes, my Queen,"
"Alright, there are about 20 Hatchlings so each ling will escort 4 to their new living arrangements, everyling remember where to go?" One of them questioned as they all echoed back their agreements.
"Alright, let's get to work," they said before they all split up gathering whatever changelings they picked Into a small group before leaving.
Then one of them started coming near us as he picked up me and Thorax before making there way to two others and picking them up before leaving like some of the others did though one of the ones he picked up started thrashing In his grip a little causing him to focus on that specific one more than us.
"Alright Cara this Is It now, you're going to be In charge of raising these changelings for however long they need you, you got this?" Cara said to themselves To I think reassure themselves.
'Well good luck bud, since It looks like you might need It.' I thought to myself
A couple of minutes passed just by Cara walking around going through holes opening and closing behind him until he reached a hole that looked to go down Into the floor instead of continuing.
"Well here we are, your new home away from the Hive," He said before descending into the hole as he and I reacted to the 'room' with varying levels.
"Wow! Seems like we got pretty lucky!"
I looked around to see that there wasn't much going on for said room as there seemed to be 4 slightly worn mattresses and blankets while the room itself was empty and bare with only the greenish stone to look at.
I mean I know that changelings didn't really live In a comfortable environment but I mean, come on!
"You know I never had one of these to sleep on before, anyling who got lucky to sleep on one would just rub It In every other lings face," Cara said to himself before setting us all down.
"Alright lings, since you might be slightly confused about what's going on my name Is Cara, the Queen chose me and a few others to take upon the role of looking after you four since you were just recently hatched and she unfortunately Is busy with other important stuff leaving her no time to try and take care of any of you ." He explained
"So with that out of the way the Queen had given me permission to name you four, though on what to name you four Is the question," Cara said before adopting a thinking position.
'Being named? Well I mean makes sense since we're pretty much babies, but I already have a name I don't need another one,' I thought to myself still upset at my situation before sighing to myself In resignation.
'Whatever, not like I had a choice, to begin with apparently, might as well make the most of this for now,' I thought resigning myself as Cara seemed to finally think up something.
"I got It!" He said before pointing at me, "I'll name you Spirac." He said sounding serious and sincere as I turned over the name In my head.
'Spirac huh? I guess It could be worse,' I concluded to myself as he moved on to Thorax.
"Hmm, for youuu, I think I'll name you Thorax," He said as Thorax looked down before looking up again, "Is, good?" He tried asking as Cara knelt on the ground.
"Very good," Cara said which caused Thorax to slightly smile as he got back up before turning his attention to the other two.
"Oh! Purple compounds huh? Well aren't you special," Cara said affectionately as the changeling hissed at him, "A bit of a fighter too huh? Well, then I'll be here to help you along the way, Pharnyx." He said naming th-
'-Wait Pharynx!?' I thought cutting myself off as I mentally slapped myself.
'Of course It Is how could I be so blind to not focus on how different he looked,' I thought regretting my lack of awareness.
'Well, nothing to do I guess, let's just hope he Isn't as much of an asshole as he was on the show towards me and especially towards Thorax,' I mentally hoped not wanting to deal with his attitude even If he did care about Thorax on the show.
Suddenly I felt something attach Itself to my back as I looked behind me to find the one changeling not named yet looking somewhat nervous.
"Now where- oh!" Cara spotted the unnamed changeling as he came closer only for said changeling to shrink upon themselves behind me To try and hide away from sight.
"Hey, I swear you have nothing to be afraid of here," He said softly crouching back on the floor as the changeling peeked from behind my back.
"I swear, even If the Hive ever somehow makes you uncomfortable, you will never have to feel that here, In our home away from the Hive, ok?" He asked as a couple of seconds went by before the changeling behind hesitantly nodded.
"Alright, now as to what name youuuu, oh! How about Ocellus? Would you like that?" He asked as the changeling behind me adopted a shy smile before nodding slightly.
"Great, I'm glad you like It," He said sincerely before getting back up, "Now you four stay here, I need to go pick something up which we'll need for the rest of our lives, don't do anything to each other even after I come back alright?" He questioned turning his head as we all nodded.
"Ok, I won't be long so don't worry," He said before finally leaving as the hole opened and closed behind him.
'Something we'll need for the rest of our lives? I'm guessing he means love, though I hope he doesn't mean we'll have to take It from a living creature?' I pondered to myself before shivering at the thought of doing that.
'Let's hope not, I'd rather starve myself than hurt an innocent person,' I thought to myself as I looked around the room one more time until I focused on the four others next to me.
'Though now since he's gone, what do I do now?' I pondered

I'm back! For now, I hope.
Again sorry for taking another break but I've just been In a rut for awhile that I didn't feel like getting out of so sorry.
Again I know you've heard this before but I do enjoy writing but it's just hard when everyone and again I dint feel like doing anything of importance to me.
So again sorry for my absence, though on the bright side now that I have made three chapters on my changeling story I will be returning to my dragon story next time.

Getting Used To It
After Cara left us by ourselves Thorax and Ocellus made their way over to us while Pharnyx proceeded to start exploring our limited room.
"Where, go?" Thorax strained out as he looked somewhat anxious about being left alone as I shook my head.
"Dont, know," I barely answered which was starting to somewhat annoy me.
'I get that I was just born or whatever but If I can talk then It shouldn't be this difficult, right?' I pondered as Ocellus turned towards Pharnyx slightly tilting her head.
"Why, there?" She asked pointing at Pharnyx as he said nothing and just glared while crossing his arms.
"Don't, mind," I said already aware of how Pharnyx's attitude was In the show, and It seemed like nothing changed even In an entirely different universe.
Apparently he didn't like that as he hissed at me which I just responded by giving him an unimpressed look.
It seemed like he didn't like that anyway as he started making his way over stomping with as much power as his baby legs could muster with what I assumed was a glare that was supposed to burn with a thousand suns but was kinda ruined as it belonged to a baby changeling and not someone who could seriously harm me.
Unfortunately for Pharnyx before he could attempt to do anything Cara had just returned as the hole reopened for him and was carrying two green eggs somewhat similar to the eggs that changelings seem to come from, but instead these egg-like containers were pulsing pink energy that some reason seemed so captivating for me.
"Alright, here we are, two containers full of as much love as you four would need right now," Cara said placing them down for us as we all slowly approached It entranced with Its presence.
"Ahh~ a lings first Love Haze, It truly Is a special moment to witness, mostly because of how adorable you four look when you're In total bliss consuming love for the first time, but it is still special In Its own way," Cara said smirking
"Love? What do you mean?" Thorax said now speaking more fluently somehow as his voice sounded less strained now.
"Well I'm glad you asked Thorax," Cara said sitting down before gesturing for us to come closer which we did except for me and Pharnyx as we stayed a bit further away from him.
"Love Is the main food source that we, as Changelings, need to consume to survive," He said before his face adorned a sad smile, "Though Its been somewhat tough lately since our Collectors haven't been able to gather as much love as we need forcing us to ration as much as we can," He explained before shaking his head and looking at us more seriously.
"That's why It Is very serious that we all make sure not to take any Love we can get for granted, there already isn't as much of It to go around, so sometimes we might have to go days without getting any Love at all," He explained as he looked over all of us.
"Why?" Pharynx said as we all focused on him.
"Why what Pharynx?" Cara asked patiently
"Why do we have to go days without any love? Why don't we have enough of It If we need It to live?" Pharnyx asked sounding confused and upset.
"Because getting Love Is a very risky task that sometimes our Collectors have trouble getting, sometimes they'll come back without getting any Love at all," Cara explained.
"Why?" Ocellus asked nervously as all the attention was on her.
"What do you mean why?" Cara asked as Ocellus paused In thought on how to say what she wanted to say.
"I mean, why do they come back with no Love If we need It to survive, w-wouldn't It be better to stay and try to get at least some instead of none at all?" She asked as Cara adopted a thoughtful frown.
"Well, I guess In a way you're right but," He began to say before smiling at her, "Our Queen would rather keep as many of her subjects as she can alive rather than try to risk losing one over Love." He said
"Oh, I'm happy she cares about us then," She said smiling to herself.
"Of course she does, Our Queen cares about all of us equally, that's why we need to do our part to help out In any way we can to help out the Queen and more importantly the Hive as a whole," He said seriously which surprised me.
"Wait, I thought the Queen was the most important thing In the Hive?" I said confused knowing how Chrysalis was on the show.
"Well of course all of us know she Is but Our Queen always goes out of her to express how she isn't and that instead the Hive that acts as our only home and place of safety, her words not mine, are more important than her," He explained which only continued to shock me.
"But If that's what the Queen desires of us then It's our duty as her subjects to not question her decisions, so If she wants us to not worship her all the time then we will do our utmost to support her decision for us," Cara said leaving me even more confused while the others looked slightly amazed at how Chrysalis sounded.
'Chrysalis, not wanting to be the center of attention or even considered important?' I thought In a mix of shock and disbelief.
'Ok either she's hiding something or, she's really not a sociopathic Queen in this world,' I thought to myself conflicted on what to believe.
"Now even though I'm sure you four would love to hear more about our Queen and I would be willing to tell you all about her I think It'd be better If you learned from someling who Is capable of teaching other important stuff than our Queen," Cara said getting up as he stretched.
"Now come on you four have something important that you'll be attending for a while," Cara said approaching the hole that opened back up while we followed.
'So much information to absorb and I barely have any time to myself to adjust to It, not even counting the fact that Chrysalis Is what? Nice here? But If that's the case then why Is she still resorting to extracting Love In secret?' I asked myself
'Surely If she just introduced herself then Celestia and Luna would be willing to help her, right?' I pondered to myself as I took a glance around to look at the changelings I would be spending time with In the foreseeable future.
'Either way I don't have much of a choice but to just roll with the punches for now, that's pretty much all I can do for now,' I concluded to myself as I continued walking alongside them.
'One day at a time,' I thought to myself mentally preparing as best I could for what lay ahead In this unknown future for me.
