The crowd cheered in celebration at a successful union between "two royals".
Discord laughed wickedly in his head, he was thrilled.
No, he was more then thrilled, he was ECSTATIC.
His diabolical scheme was a success.
The captain of the royal guard was now married to the lord of chaos and nopony had even realized it, not even Princess Celestia herself.
Well, almost nopony.....
Discord thought to his two unfortunate prisoners down in the Canterlot caves, pitying them for their situation.
They were probably lost, scared, cold, confused right now....
'Heh, serves them right.' Discord scoffed in his head, as Celestia gave permission to kiss "the bride"....
Meanwhile.....
"Twilight, please! I keep telling you, I'm not Discord, I'm the real Cadance! Please let me go!" Cadance pleaded for Twilight to unhoof her.
"And I keep telling you, likely story! Now, clench your teeth!"
Twilight raised a hoof and begun to pound "Discord" senselessly, as "he" screamed for her to stop to no avail.....
Later.....
Twilight stood above the deceased corpse of what appeared to be Princess Cadance, as blood littered the ground of the cave.....
"You can't scare me Discord! Show your true self!" Twilight yelled at what she assumed to be a nasty trick by the lord of chaos, but.... Nothing happened.....
"Come on! Cut the act now!"
Nothing happened.....
"Say something!"

Nothing happened......
Twilight begun to tense up from the lack of activity from the body. If what laid on the floor really was dead, then she must have actually killed.....
"No.... No!.... Oh Cadance, I'm so sorry!....."
Twilight begun to tear up in grief and loss for accidentally taking the life of one of the closest ponies to her.....
"What have I done?!..... I don't know what I can do now.... What do I do?....."
Twilight curled up into a ball as she cried tears of depression for the terrible sin she has committed.....
Meanwhile.....
Canterlot was in utter madness.....
When everypony wasn't fighting each other for petty reasons, they were busy running from floating baby heads or pianos with razor sharp teeth for keys.....
The mane five, including Spike, could only wallow in shame for having been so foolish to ignore Twilight's warnings before it was too late....
It had all happened so fast.....
After the marriage, the shield designed to protect Canterlot had collapsed, and the bride had revealed "herself" to be none other then the spirit of disharmony, who had planned this disaster all along.
And then, all of Canterlot went to Tartarus....
"We need to find Twilight! We can't use the elements of harmony without her!" Applejack stated to her friends.
"I'm not sure if the elements will be all that useful, since we weren't there for her when her brother banned her from the wedding....." Rainbow Dash seethed to herself.....
"Well regardless, we need to find her and make sure she's ok and safe from all of this!" Rarity exclaimed to the others.
"But where could she be?...." Fluttershy questioned, as they hadn't heard from her at all ever since she was banned from the wedding.....
"You won't ever be able to find her on your own." The ponies heard a familiar, cocky voice taunting them, as they looked to see Discord laying on a cotton candy cloud.
"If only you had stopped to pay attention and find that Twilight was right about 'Cadance' being evil." Discord snickered to the defeated ponies.
"What did you do with our friend?!" Dash lashed at the all powerful chaos spirit.
"I simply placed her in a location where nopony would think to look for her. It's not my fault you gave me that opportunity after you sided with 'the bride' over her." Discord mocked and bullied the already distressed ponies and dragon.
"He's right.... We should have-.... I should have been there for her....." Spike teared up, as the ponies comforted him as Discord laughed maliciously.
"Since the elements are dead and powerless anyway, she's under the caves beneath Canterlot, along with the real 'Princess Mi Amore Cadenza.'" Discord revealed, as the ponies turned to Canterlot castle.
"Then that's just where we're headed." Applejack stated with disdain targeted towards the lord of chaos, as she and the others raced to the castle as Discord laughed in triumphant victory.
Later.....
Discord sat atop his throne as he watched the worlds largest macabre comedy act, as he laughed maniacally.
However, he turned to see Captain Shining Armor trying to stand up to him, only to back away from pure fear, due to Discord's corruption.
"It's cute when you try to act brave, dear." Discord taunted the formally fearless captain.
"You know you couldn't do anything to me even if you tried, my power is far greater then anything you could comprehend." Discord bragged to the mere mortal unicorn.
Shining Armor could only gulp nervously as he stared down his husband intently....
"What's the matter? Too cowardly to even SPEAK?"
Shining Armor did not say a word......
"SAY SOMETHING."

Nothing happened.....
Discord's patience was growing thin, until he heard the clopping of hoof steps approaching his way.
He turned to see the mane six with Twilight with them, carrying something behind her back.....
Discord watched curiously....... Until his curiosity was replaced with shock, as Twilight placed the deceased corpse of Cadance in front of him.
Shining Armor saw the body, and teared up in grief at the sight of his dead beloved.....
"She's dead....." Twilight teared up, as Discord was a gasped to what he was seeing....
"I thought she was you..... I was wrong....." Twilight could only stutter in depression and sadness, as Discord had felt the urge to vomit.
"Well, I hope you're happy Discord, you win. You got exactly what you wanted." Dash stated with disgust in her voice.
"You're wrong. I never intended for any of this! I was only mocking her! I didn't think she would actually DO IT....." Discord stated.
"Regardless, your actions are what lead to this. And because of that, we lost someone very important..... I hope ya can live with that...... You monster." Applejack merely stated, as she and the other ponies and dragon left to bury what was left of the princess of love.....
Discord didn't know how to feel now.... He never wanted to KILL anyone....
He was many things, a Draconequus, a spirit of chaos, a trickster, a deceiver, an imposter, a madman.....
But a murderer was not one of them.....
He did hate the princesses, but he never went as far to try to outright kill them.....
He only wanted to keep the prisoners contained long enough so he could in act his plan.....
Even with all of the chaos at his disposal, he didn't have the power to cheat death....
Well, he did..... But the result was not pretty.....
Discord sat on his throne of chaos in disbelief.
He pinched himself, trying to wake up from this bad dream....
He thought it was all a nightmare and that he was still in his stone prison, that he hadn't actually killed anyone, that things were still fine, that the princess of love was still alive and well and ready to get married......
