Chapter 1

A ray of sunlight lit over the horizon, ready as a new day in Ponyville begins. Birds chirped loudly and flew out of the trees, making other woodland creatures awake. Some ponies were already awake, doing their morning chores and admiring the beautiful sun Celestia gave to them today. One particular yellow pegasus was still asleep, taking soft gentle breaths as she lay in her soft warm bed. She slowly lifted up her eyes and looked out the window, still half asleep. "Just....five more minutes," she mumbled and tumbled over to the other side of the bed. She felt the warmness of her soft blanket and smiled. She felt like she could stay there forever, but she knew, however, that at some point she had to get up. She was meeting Pinkie Pie today at Sugarcube Corner, and she wouldn't miss that for the world. She slowly opened her eyes again, remembering her special date.

At least I don't have to get up for a while, she thought.

I don't have to go until... she looked over her shoulder at her alarm clock. 9:30 am.

She gasped, "9:30?!?!" She looked at the clock in horror,

" I have to meet Pinkie any minute now!"

She leaped out of bed with a clank of her delicate yellow hooves and dashed for her purple manebrush.

"Nononono," She said worryingly.

"I hope Pinkie doesn't mad, I Pinkie promised her," She remembered the time when Applejack pinkie promised her. That didn't end well, Pinkie raged like a thunderstorm, smoke even bursting out of her ears. She brushed her soft, long pink mane as fast and as furiously as she could, then dashed to the bathroom, her animals looking at her curiously and confused as to what she is so worried about, not that she is never worried about anything, as her animals are pretty used to her feeling insecure at times.

Fluttershy looked into the bathroom mirror, not too bad. But she wanted to look her best on an outing with one of her closest friends. She sighed and looked around for her toothbrush, she always got a new toothbrush as she never wants hers out of date, her teeth were always pearly white, so she never had to visit Colgate at the dentists. Looking around in the bathroom drawers, she found her white toothbrush, and grabbed the toothpaste. She always giggled when she saw her toothpaste as it always reminded her of Colgate. She squeezed the toothpaste on to the toothbrush and brushed quickly.

After her mouth foamed up she spat out the toothpaste into the sink and turned the tap on, grabbed a hoof full of sparkling blue water and shoved it into her mouth, swished it around for a few seconds and spat it into the sink. She showed off her sparkling teeth one more time before she raced off to the door to get outside her house, but Angel bunny stood in front of the door, blocking her way.

"Angel, no time for games," She looked at him with an annoyed look on her face. "I've got to meet Pinkie Pie!" She said to him, sternly, but gently. She really didn't have time for this. No matter what kind of crazy meal or something Angel wanted, she had to be assertive with him and get to Sugarcube Corner before Pinkie finds out she broke the promise.

Angel shook his head.

Fluttershy sighed, and hung down her head. "Fine..." She said, "What do you want, Angel? Mommy's gotta go," Angel bounced over to his and the the animals food bowl, and pointed at them both with his tiny white fluffy paws with an angry look on his face, and stamping his foot. Fluttershy's eyes widened because she forgot to give her animals food! The birds and animals outside already had food from feeding them late last night again yesterday, so she was certain they would be eating that now. Fluttershy ran to the kitchen and grabbed the animal food packet with her mouth, and carefully filled the two food bowls with green pellets. Her animals raced at the smell of the pellets, and started gobbling the food. Fluttershy looked at Angel as he was happily eating his food, and a smile spread across Fluttershy's face.

Then she remembered something.

Pinkie!

Fluttershy raced to the door once again, and dashed outside, hoping she hasn't missed out on her special outing with Pinkie. She would be ever so devastated if she broke Pinkies heart, after all, she lo-

"Fluttershy!"

Pinkie burst out and jumped on her, making Fluttershy and her fall down on the ground as Pinkie have her a tight hug, and Fluttershy almost having a heart attack.

"P-Pinkie! You startled me.."

"Oh! I'm so sorry, Flutters! You ok?" Pinkie looked at her with her big blue eyes.

"Y-yeah, I think so..." Fluttershy smiled as Pinkie helped her friend up off the ground.

Pinkie smiled back at her shy pegasus friend. "Ah, that's good! I don't want to miss out on our special day!"

Fluttershy nodded. Everytime she looked at Pinkie, she felt really weird and different around her. Not like she used to. Kind of, well, everytime she looked at her blue eyes and smiling face she blushed a little, and didn't really know what to say to her. She felt a bit shaky and....a little bit..lovestruck.

"So," Pinkie said to her in her usual cheerful tone, "Wanna go?" Fluttershy looked at her. "Sure." They both smiled at each other and started to walk off, Pinkie starting to bounce as usual. Fluttershy was so happy to be with Pinkie. She felt like Pinkie was one of the only ponies to brighten up her day as much to make her the happiest mare in the world.

Sorry about such a short chapter, I'm just flat out tired and feel awful. I'll try to make it up next chapter. This is my first story, and first fan fiction ever, so yeah..... I'd love some critique, but not too harsh... Because I know my writing's bad.. Cx
