Chapter 1: The beginning of the end
"One day, you'll see! I will defeat Twilight Sparkle and her friends HAH! And they will PAY for taking away my home!"
Thorax found himself talking to logs with faces of his brothers and sisters carved in them, until he was suddenly taken away by a dark swirl of magic.
Meanwhile......
Trixie tried practicing her magic tricks on some pieces of rock in her cell.
"Psst, Trixie."
"It's the GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie, and what is it now?"
"I just wanted you to see the opportunity of equality I am presenting to you." Starlight offered with a forced grin, as she showed the equal sign sticker next to her cell.
Trixie merely grunted before trying to practice her magic again, before she and Starlight were both taken by a dark swirl of magic.
Meanwhile...
Discord's statue was beginning to crack, as some outside force tied a rope to it and dragged it to an unknown location...
Later...
Starlight and Trixie found themselves in a dark cave, as they saw Thorax found himself there as well......
"Two unicorns?"
"A changeling?"
"Thorax! A REAL changeling! Unlike my traitorous hive! Why did you summon me?! What do you WANT?!"
"Ahh! But, we didn't summon you. I thought you freed us from Tartarus." Starlight told the bug.
"Tartarus?! Whoever pulled you from THERE must have been somepony very powerful indeed."
They heard jovial laughing behind them, they turned around and they saw numerous creature parts coming together to form the image of the lord of chaos himself.
"Discord! You have returned? Why did you bring us here?!"
"He didn't."
A blue, old ram walked through the cave. As he did, Discord disappeared in a flash of light, and the goat slammed his hooves on the table.
"It was I. You may call me, GROGAR."
"THE Grogar?"
"Oh my..... You're-...... You're real....."
"Oh I know you."
"Who?......"
"I assure you, I am very real. And you have all been brought here as part of my plan to rid Equestria of Twilight Sparkle and her friends! Once and for all." Grogar stated, as he chuckled evilly.
"Trixie's never heard of someone named, GROBAR before....."
"GROGAR!!! I have been away too long if my name no longer strikes fear into the heart of a common STREET pony."
"Hmph."
"Perhaps a demonstration of power is in order?"
Grogar proceeded to spread some of his magic to Thorax, who devoured it as if it were love. Grogar's magic was able to simulate the sensation, so Thorax's power grew.
"Grogar is ancient and extremely powerful, the land that would become Equestria was a mere collection of farms and pastures until he declared himself emperor of all he saw. I remember hearing tales of his tyranny when I was a little grub."
"I am also aware of the first emperor of Equestria, the 'father of monsters'......"
"I know of this rams evil, the monsters he created. The creatures who would take whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. A dystopian fear soaked epoch of darkness in Equestria, it was madness......"
"Until that self righteous Gusty the great stole my Bewitching Bell! But she only weakened me temporarily. And because of that, I have spent millennia gathering power, biding my time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to seize control of Equestria! And watching all of you, I've seen each of your humiliating defeats at the hooves of six puny ponies. And do you know why they've always bested you?"
Discord was about to speak, until he was interrupted.
"Because they use our own weapons against us!"
"Because they lie and deceive to lower your guard."
"Because they just don't know when to quit!"
"It is because they work together. Where one is weak, another is strong, and thus unified, they are a formidable force! But we shall use their own strategy to defeat them."
"What are you suggesting?"
"I suggest nothing...... I DEMAND that you join me, and together, Equestria wil-"
"We're in."
"What?....." Grogar turned to Discord in confusion.
"You were blabbering on about uniting the few villains that are left to team up and defeat the element bearers once and for all and finally rule Equestria?"
"Yes...."
"We're in."
"Now wait just a second! Why don't I- I mean, WE get a say in all of this?! I don't want to work with creatures who want power for themselves! I have a vision of equality to maintain! Take me back to my village, and I will make sure Twilight and her stooges don't take it away from me this time!"
"Like I said, I DEMAND that you join me! I am not taking no for an answer! IS, THAT, CLEAR?"
"You heard the old goat, we have to work together." Discord stated smugly.
Starlight, though reluctantly, ultimately sat down, but not before spitting at Grogar in defiance.
"I advise you all to prepare to work together, you're going to be staying here for quite a while. Which means you have to learn to resolve your differences and work towards a common goal!"
The four villains stared at each other for a bit in hesitation, before Starlight cleared her throat.
"I believe that everypony should be equal, so that friendships won't be torn apart and we will never disagree with each other."
"That is the exact opposite of MY motive!"
"What about being great and powerful?!"
"I really couldn't care any less about that."
Starlight promptly groaned in frustration, before Thorax spoke up.
"Becoming more powerful through deception!"
"I mean, I may have tried that once...."
"Deceive? Me?....."
"The great and powerful Trixie has nothing to hide!"
Thorax promptly took a sigh before Trixie tried to speak up but was interrupted.
"We all know YOUR motivations garbage and pathetic Trixie, I think it's my turn to share my ideals."
Trixie huffed in defiance.
"I only wish to spread chaos and excitement to all of Equestria and beyond."
"Again, really the opposite thing of what I'M going for."
"As long as Trixie gets to perform bigger and better then ever!"
"So long as the changeling hive doesn't get DESTROYED in your havoc!"
Grogar merely rubbed his forehead with his hooves.
"Well if we are going to succeed we need to work together! Anyone who doubts continuing with my plans will be faced with an ETERNITY in Tartarus! So if any of you, have any doubts....."
"Who? Trixie would never!"
"Uhh, what?"
"Who, me?"
"Nah."
"Then we shall join forces and work together to bring Equestria to its knees!" Grogar begun to laugh maniacally, as the other villains reluctantly joined him nervously.
But not Discord, his laughter was genuine....
For he couldn't be more then happy for this strange turn of events.......
A different legion of doom
Grogar stared at his crystal ball, staring at his Bewitching Bell with determination.....
"Ahem, I know you told me to stick with you and your gang, but I simply cannot rest under these conditions! I politely request that you let me head out to get the materials to make my bed more to my liking."
"I scheduled a meeting in thirty minutes. If you can get the materials you need before then, then you may."
Starlight didn't have enough time, so she left to the table. But not without letting out a huge groan.
Annoyed, Grogar continued to watch his ball.
"Trixie demands that she knows what you're planning so we can be done with it!"
"I will explain everything in the meeting!"
Grogar was getting a headache, and the other villains weren't making things easier.....
"Are you planning on attacking anypony anytime soon? If not, I don't know why I'm wasting my time here."
Thorax merely buzzed off, and when Grogar stared at his ball again, he saw Discord just standing there.......
"What do you want?!"
"Oh nothing, just observing that little ball of yours, does it play buckball? Or is it not good enough cable?"
"GET OUT!"
Discord promptly sat down with the others.
"I'm leaving, since its impossible to accomplish the work I need to do here. I suggest the four of you come to some kind of accord."
The four sans Discord merely argued with each other, until Grogar silenced them with his magic. Including Discord, much to his chagrin.
"I don't care how, but you must learn to work together! Only then can we accomplish what you so greatly desire: THE DEFEAT OF TWILIGHT SPARKLE AND HER FRIENDS!"
Later.....
Discord teleported to Trixie's room, where he saw her practicing her magical abilities by trying to turn a stick into a tea cup.
"You know, you're never going to get it by just saying tea cup instead of picturing it in your mind."
"That's easy for YOU to say! You can turn anything into anything by just snapping your claws!"
"Yes, but try to see things, MY way, and you'll see just how easy it can be."
Trixie took Discord's advice, as she thought about turning the stick into a tea cup.
And low and behold, she did.
Trixie promptly grinned with excitement.
"There's more you can learn, if you join me and the others in a bit of a meeting I set up to help us bond better. It's what Grogar wants, isn't it?"
"Hmm, very well. Trixie agrees, so long as you don't try to brainwash her into doing stuff she normally wouldn't do!"
"I only would do that if I think it's amusing..... But, you're amusing enough as it is."
Discord then teleported away, leaving Trixie to turn more furniture into tea cups.
When Discord teleported into Thorax's room, he overheard him rambling on to something.....
"It's been weeks and Grogar has done NOTHING! It's not healthy to hold onto all of this RAGE! I could lash out at any moment."
Discord saw Thorax talking to a change-log.
"And how do you do this lovely-"
"HOW DO YOU THINK I'M DOING?! I'M READY TO ENACT VENGEANCE!!!"
Discord fell to pieces at his outburst.
"See what I mean?"
Discord then placed himself back together.
"Being stuck with nothing to do is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring! You know what you need? A team bonding exercise!"
"We never did meetings in the hive, so I don't do meetings now."
"Listen, Grogar wants this meeting to happen so-"
"No he doesn't! And even if he does, Thorax only obeys THE RIGHTFUL QUEEN."
"They'll be chocolate."
Thorax looked at the change-log in consideration.......
Later.........
Starlight practiced her magic to prepare for Twilight when they duel again, but was interrupted by a flash of light.
"Whatcha doin?"
"I'm PRACTICING."
"I can see that. But you'd actually succeed if you joined me and the others in our own little meeting."
"I'm a little busy."
"Ok, if you don't want revenge on Twilight for ruining your village, and taking away EVERYTHING that was important to you, I completely understand......"
Starlight knew this was what Discord does, to get in people's heads.... But he did make a pretty good point.....
"Actually, a team meeting does sound like a good idea. As long as I can re-arrange a few things."
"I see what you're doing, you plan to convert us into your equal society by trying to blur the lines between equality and working together."
Starlight could only wince in frustration that Discord was incredibly smart for his own good.
"But its ok, even though its not going to work your secrets safe with me."
"Whatever......"
Starlight left to attend the meeting, as Discord smugly grinned to himself.....
Later......
"So as you all know, Grogar wants us to work together to achieve our goals. Which means, we need to be able to TRUST each other." Discord stated to the other two villains, with Starlight by his side.
"Hmm, yeah. IF we are to trust one another, perhaps inform Thorax, to STOP TRYING TO DEVOUR TRIXIE'S AFFECTIONS!!!" Trixie demanded.
Thorax stopped draining, before spitting love energy goop on his chocolate.
"I wasn't doing anything of the sort! How dare you!"
"How dare Trixie?! She just saw you doing it!"
"I could've been doing anything! There's more to changelings then just draining love you know."
"Trixie doesn't CARE what changelings do!"
"If you two could break it up, we need to be able to get along with each other." Starlight stated.
"It's HIS fault he continues to be a pest on my shoulder!"
"Is that an INSULT?!"
"More or less."
"THIS, is exactly why Grogar wants us to-"
"SHUT UP!!!"
Discord promptly face slapped in irritation, before he noticed the banner of all five of them together.
He had an idea, and whispered it to Starlight, who decided to just roll with it.
They approached the table......
"I think, I know, a way that we can grow. Time to try something new, something better." Starlight sung.
"No more, solo. Trust is the way to go, and all we need to do is work together." Discord added.
"Ugh! Please! No thanks, no way. I feel the need to say! I'm great, I'm powerful! And I don't need YOU, THREE."
"Ugh! Powerful? Ok. I guess we'll downplay, how badly you got beaten till you can't see?"
"It's time, to try a better way to be bad."
"Do we really need a better way to be bad?"
"United as one." Starlight stated.
"Teamwork? Please, what a fad."
"Combined with all our strength, we'll go to any length. Once we have a better way to be bad." Discord sung, as he floated the banner into the air.
"Let's go, begin. This time we're gonna win." Starlight encouraged.
"The ice you're on is thin so watch what you say!"
"I know, you're in. I think I see a grin!" Discord teased Trixie.
"For all this pain and torture I swear you'll pay!"
"This time, we've got a better way to be bad."
"Sounds like a long shot this better way to be bad."
"United as one, we'll make those ponies so sad." Discord mocked.
"If we say OK, would you just go away?"
"Once we have a better way to be bad. We want to break their friendship, we want to make them weak." Starlight sung.
"You want revenge on Sombra, you want everyone to know Trixie! So lets increase our chances, by working as a team." Discord riled up.
"To crush our enemies to dust! And laugh as they all scream!" Starlight went crazy, as she and the others laughed maniacally.
"I think, I see a better way to be bad!"
"Just put me in charge! Make me king! You'll be glad!"
"No! I'm your mentor, I'm the best of us four." Discord bragged.
"Then you'll see a better way to be bad!"
"Wait! This is my thing a better way to be bad." Discord said on deaf ears.
"You shall do as I command! I will rule this triad!"
"Hey! This was our song!"
"Sorry not any longer!"
"A better way to be bad!"
"Now you're making me mad."
"Won't the ponies be sad?"
"That would make me so glad!"
"Now we've got a better way to be bad!"
.....................................................
"Hey! You stepped on my cue!" Starlight accused Thorax, as the three of them started arguing again seemingly learning nothing.
"Guys! Guys! Please, we don't need to act like we're better then each other, do we? Why can't we all just get along and work towards a common goal?...." Discord asked.
"Probably because we are infamous rouges who are not team players!" Trixie stated the obvious.
"Well, we all need to work together, otherwise we'll face Grogar's wrath." Discord excused.
"Discord is right, we need to put aside our differences for now, if we know what's good for us." Starlight agreed.
Trixie and Thorax nodded their heads in agreement.
Eventually, they found "Grogar" arriving back to the lair to engage the meeting.
"I assume you have all learned to cooperate now while I was gone?"
They all nodded in agreement.
"Good. Now, I have located an object of power, and it occurs to me this is the perfect test. The four of you will work together to retrieve it, against this item, those ponies won't stand a chance."
"My hive has come close to ruling Equestria several times, perhaps I should be the one to lead us!"
"Trixie defeated Twilight and her friends with an Alicorn amulet! That was good!"
"I defeated Twilight before she even MADE friends! I used Starswirl's spell to stop her connection before it formed!"
Their competition for who should be in charge made them fight over it, and Grogar was just about to lose it until.........
"Stop it, STOP IT! That's it! No more arguing amongst ourselves! We can't work together if one of us is commanding all of us! So get over it and STOP IT!"
The other three villains were shocked at Discord's sudden outburst, until they nodded that they will stop.
"THANK YOU Discord, now..... your mission....."
Grogar begun to project an image through his magic.
"Thousands of moons ago, the self righteous Gusty the great, unable to best me face to face stole my Bewitching Bell. A talisman containing most of my own magic. The bell cannot be destroyed, so Gusty hid it in a place it has taken me millennia to discover. An enchanted cave high atop MT. Everhoof, protected by magical winds that prevent anypony from reaching its peak. There the bell has remained, until now........ Scale MT. Everhoof! Bring me back my BELL."
"Hah ha! The ease of this task is laughable!"
Later..........
"Well it sounded easy........"
"Scale the mountain."
"Retrieve Grogar's bell......"
"As a team! I formed an expertly devised plan that will allow us to....."
Starlight saw the two villains leaving before they could conduct a plan.
"Where are you going?" Discord asked.
"I think we all knew we were lying about working together." Thorax stated.
"Yes, one of us will be the one to get the bell, and when we come back we will lie to Grogar that we worked together."
"But-... But... I thought we were a team..." Discord shed puppy tears at the bug and the magician.
"Oh stuff it will you?!" Trixie merely lashed, before she and Thorax went their separate ways.
Discord looked at Starlight with the same puppy dog eyes...
"I think... I'm gonna go too..."
Discord seethed to himself when Starlight was out of ear shot, and cursed his "teammates" stubbornness for not playing along...
Until... he formed a new plan, something that told him they wouldn't make it very far...
As he cackled maliciously to himself, he begun to split into three duplicates of himself.
"So Discord, why don't you take the bug and see just how miserably he's failing?"
"Of course Discord, and how about you check on the cultist and see how she's doing?"
"Indeed, and Discord, don't forget to spy on that stubborn magician."
"Why yes Discord!"
They split up and begun to spy on the others.......
Meanwhile......
Thorax flew towards the mountain, but the wind was so pushy and so vast, it kept him from moving forward. As he cursed under his breath, he knew he would have to find a way to cross.....
Meanwhile, Trixie approached the side of the mountain, she picked up a piece of dirt and blew it forward, causing the wind to push it back into her face, as she spit it out in annoyance.
Meanwhile, Starlight climbed a side of the mountain, until she approached a cabin with a pony in side.
"Who goes there!? A pony? There hasn't been a pony here in who knows how many moons!"
Seizing an opportunity, Starlight pretended to be sick from the cold.
"Oh thank goodness! I found help! Could you please help me from the cold good sir?"
"Oh, don't worry miss. I got ya."
Starlight proceeded to faint, until the pony caught her in his hooves.
"I'm lost, and cold..... I could really use some help."
"Oh fret not maim, Old Rusty Bucket at your service."
"I'm so glad I found you, I need some help getting to the top of the mountain."
"Well, no can do maim."
Starlight slightly frowned a little....
"Well, why not?"
"Well it's my job to keep ponies from heading up! Nothing at the top but dangerous snow, dangerous ice and dangerous wind! Basically, it's dangerous."
"It must get pretty lonely all by yourself, maybe I could be your...... friend?"
"Oh, I'd love a friend!"
"So now that we are friends, you can help me up the mountain."
"Well, a real friend wouldn't tell me to do something I'm not supposed to do..... Says so right here in the journal of friendship written by Twilight Sparkle and her friends."
Starlight's frown grew larger.
"Ok you know what? Fine. I can climb the mountain on my own."
Rusty gave a sigh of disappointment.
Meanwhile..........
Thorax transformed into a tiny mosquito as he flew up the corner of the mountain, trying to reach the top, until he reached a platform and transformed back.
Meanwhile, Trixie begun taking apart wood off of trees and making chairs out of them, and placing wood to make a fireplace.
Meanwhile, Starlight continued climbing the mountain on her own, trying to get past the shack, but the wind keep blowing her backwards.
Starlight, in frustration punched a wall of snow with her hoof, which caused a chain reaction of an avalanche to form a giant snowball that landed into her and send her falling off the mountain screaming......
Rusty just sighed and went back inside.
Discord watched, and silently chuckled to himself, knowing Starlight would fail miserably.
Eventually, Thorax had found a shortcut leading to the entrance of the cave, but the winds were so powerful, so strong, it sent him flying all the way back to the bottom of the mountain, undoing all of his progress.
In a fit of rage, he blasted a nearby tree into submission......
Discord watched and continued to snicker at his failure.
Meanwhile, Trixie finished building her campsite, as Discord watched with curiosity.....
However, his duplicates eventually returned, and they formed as one once again, as Starlight approached the campfire out of breath, and snow dripping off her.
Trixie promptly laughed at her embarrassing failure.
"It's, not, funny, TRIXIE!"
"Didn't make it to the top? Not a surprise, not a surprise at all....."
"You didn't make it to the top either."
"Trixie didn't try to...."
"WHAT?!"
"It took about five minutes to deduce that Grogar was right, NONE of us could make it up alone! So rather then subject Trixie to the elements, she decided to let YOU three face the danger, take what you learned, and use it to her advantage! Trixie is a genius. Heh he he he he."
"I put up with your 'Trixie speaks in the third person' language in Tartarus, but I'm OVER IT! TALK, NORMALLY!"
"Well only if you stop trying to convert me into your 'equally balanced society'! I will not let MY POWER BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME!"
"Power? WHAT power?! You're just a fraud who performs magic shows to boost your ego!"
"HOW, DARE YOU! I put in all my effort to give ponies a good performance! It's not MY fault Twilight and her friends heckled me for DOING MY JOB!"
"Well it is for going power mad and wearing a soul sucking amulet that made you crazy."
"ONE TIME! And don't try to act so 'holier then thou' when YOU created multiple timelines of destruction and damage just to get back at her for taking away your 'precious' EQUAL TOWN!"
"DON'T YOU DARE BRING MY VILLAGE INTO THIS!"
Their arguing attracted an Ophiotarus, who growled at its prey.
"THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!!"
However, just as it was about to strike, a male "Ophiotarus" suddenly arrived, causing the female to become smitten with affection.
"Quick! She's distracted!"
"Now wait just a second."
However, Thorax shed his disguise and begun draining the creature of her love as Starlight and Trixie watched.
And when he was done draining, he slurped it up, and the Ophiotarus fell to the ground weakened.
"Mmm, so much love. I haven't eaten like that in ages." The changeling licked his lips, as Trixie felt like she was going to throw up.
"So gross....."
"Just so we're clear, I didn't save you because I like you. I did it because...... because I-"
"Need us?" Starlight finished.
"Yes....."
"Clearly I was right to wait! Now tell me everything you've learned, leave nothing out!"
"Now wait just a diddly darn second."
Everyone else face hoofed as company had arrived shortly.
"You didn't forget about little old me, did you?"
"Where have you been?" Starlight confronted the Draconequus.
"Oh, just taking a nice view of the mountain, it makes quite a lovely picture wouldn't you agree?"
Starlight turned to Trixie, who just shrugged.
"Well, we were just about to take refuge, you're welcome to join us." Trixie offered.
"Oh I know, that's why I'm here." Discord smirked, as he and the others begun to sat down....
Later........
Thorax finished enwrapping the Ophiotarus in a cocoon, as he sat back down with the others.
"Why are you doing that? Didn't you already drain it of love?" Starlight questioned the shapeshifting bug.
"I always save a little for the next month."
"So when you and the others ponynapped Twilight and the others, you cocooned them too?"
"Yes, until that SCOWL of a grub Sombra freed them, BRAINWASHED my siblings and mother, AND STOLE MY HOME!!!"
"Those ponies have weaknesses, I Discorded and convinced them all into behaving the opposite of their elemental virtues, so that they couldn't blast me with those dangerous elephants of harm-many."
"Ugh, if only the elements were all we needed to worry about when we invaded Canterlot."
"You should've seen Twilight's face, when her friends started lying, and pushing, and stealing. She was all, "Aah! Ooh! Ugh! Agh! Ehh....." Discord stretched and contorted his face which morphed into Twilight's, as the others laughed at his mockery of the friendship princess.
"She's so STRESSED out all the time." Starlight made fun.
"When my mother impersonated her old foal sitter, I thought she was going to implode!"
"Heh, I wish I could've seen the look on her face after I BANISHED her from Ponyville."
"I bet it wasn't as expressive when I took away her and her friends cutie marks and put them in my vault."
"Storing cutie marks away from their owners is a little excessive, don't you think?"
"Pfft! And let destiny control our every thought and action? No way! And besides, it would've been worth it just to see Twilight and her friends GIVE UP and join my cause...."
"Indeed it would, who wouldn't love to see the look on those pretty ponies faces when they realized they lost everything?"
Thorax promptly changed into Twilight.
"'I'm a pathetic pony princess! I made a detailed list of all the ways I'm a failure!'"
The others laughed at his impression as he changed back.
"You know, working with you three may actually not be the worst thing." Trixie suggested.
"Perhaps..... As long as it results in the COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF OUR ENEMIES!" Thorax grinned.
"I wouldn't have it any other way........ Do the pathetic pony princess thing again!" Starlight pleaded, as Thorax changed again.
The villains laughed around the campfire as they bonded over their mutual hatred for Twilight and her friends......
Later......
The villains reached the shack belonging to Rusty Bucket.
He exited the shack and saw the four villains, when Thorax turned into an Ophiotarus and roared at the pony, Causing an avalanche to fall on him.
The legion merely laughed as they climbed up further the mountain.
"I'm OK!" Rusty Bucket re-assured.
As they travelled across the mountain, Discord came across some vines which he pulled and planned to use for later.
Starlight scouted ahead and pointed in the right direction.
They came across a fallen tree blocking the way, so Thorax turned into an Ursa Minor and lifted the tree out of the way.
While climbing the mountain, Trixie almost fell off, but Starlight caught her before she could fall.
They eventually came across a giant boulder blocking their way, so Discord snapped his fingers and turned it into a giant cake, as several snakes slithered and devoured it.
They eventually found a gap across the mountain, so Discord used the vines he grabbed earlier, he attached it to a rock, and Starlight and Thorax tried to pull it to the other side, with Thorax turning into a Roc for extra momentum while holding onto Starlight.
Eventually, Starlight lifted herself with her horn and tied the vine to the rock on the other side and signaled the others to cross. Thorax turned into a monkey to grasp the vine while Discord followed.
Trixie, though nervous, tried to grasp the vines with her hooves, it wasn't easy, but eventually all four of them made it to the other side of the mountain.
They approached the cave storing the Bewitching Bell, leading Trixie rushing into the entrance, only to get knocked back by a magical force field protecting the entrance.
Thorax touched the shield, only to have his hoof burnt.
"Can you drain its love for protecting the cave?....." Starlight suggested.
"I can only drain love from LIVING beings!"
.......................
"Like her?"
Trixie stepped back in defiance.
"Betrayal!"

"Hey! Technically it's not SHARING love so much as it is giving it back....."

Trixie merely waved her hoof in reminder.
"Well, maybe THEY would......"
"I'll give you your love back....." Thorax sighed.....

Trixie thought about being adored by hundreds upon thousands of an audience of ponies as Thorax absorbed her love for it and stored it inside his being.
Eventually, Trixie collapsed to the ground weakened, as Thorax could feel the energy coursing through his veins.
"Yes....... YES!!!!!! Let's DO THIS!" Thorax blasted a hole in the shield, but it was too small.
"It's not big enough for me!"
"Maybe not you!"
Discord shrunk himself as he flew inside the cave.
"Keep it open! Or I'll be trapped forever!"
"Would that be so terrible?"
Thorax laughed at Trixie's comment as he kept trying to keep the shield open.
"Can't.......... hold....... much....... longer!!! HURRY!!!"
Discord eventually made it out with the bell in claw.
"Ta-da!"
"Ooh..... Trixie, can, barely, move..... Ugh....."
Thorax looked at Trixie with a look of doubt...... Before ultimately releasing his stolen energy back to Trixie, as she rose up from the ground in relief.
Thorax looked at his sides, and was relieved to discover that he hadn't transformed like his family.
"I didn't think you were going to give it back."
"Neither was I! But working together seemed smarter then to continue fighting......"
"When we helped each other it felt better somehow......" Discord pondered in contemplation.....
"I haven't felt like this since before I lost my village....... Having others who will be there for you is........ pleasing......"
"All of these years draining love from ponies......"
"When you use your great power to help others......"
"Yes it feels.......... NO!!!!"
The others were surprised at Discord's sudden outburst.
"I am not going to let something as silly as 'friendship' ruin the grand scheme I have been setting up ever since that old goat recruited us!" Discord revealed to the other villains.....
"What grand scheme?......" Starlight confronted.
"Why do you think I didn't just run off and cause chaos on my own as soon as I was set free? It's because my magic is weakened after being set in stone for a couple months compared to the last thousand years I was imprisoned. Therefore, I have grown weak, and the...... "goat" is using it to "his" advantage......... The reason I agreed to team up was so that we could work together to achieve a common goal, and overthrow "Grogar"'s plans for our own. Let "Him" think we're "his" unwitting victims, in the meantime...... we'll make our own plans."
"Yes! I LOVE a good backstabbing!" Thorax claimed with glee.
"If you say so, Trixie never really liked that old ram anyway......"
"In the meantime, what do we do with this?....." Starlight looked at the bell, as they stared at each other......
Later...........
"YOU FAILED TO RETRIEVE THE BELL?!"
"Oh, we're so sorry o mighty Grogar!"
"We worked together as you asked."
"Oh please spare us from your fierce wrath."
"We just aren't as powerful as you......"
"Grogar" only lead out a huge screech that made everyone cover their ears.
"Obviously! At least you finally did as you were told and worked together."
"Of course!"
"Whatever you command!"
"Yes, master."
"Forget about that BORING old bell, you were right! We're so much more successful, when we work as a team......."

Chapter 3: The summer sun setback
"Grogar" proceeded to leave the cave to travel somewhere.....
"Ahem. Where are you going?" Starlight asked curiously.
"Since you four were unable to retrieve my Bewitching Bell, we need another source of magical power to defeat Twilight and her friends!"
"Grogar" then left the cave as Starlight watched.
"He's gone!"
The other three villains left their hiding places as they regrouped.
"I don't trust him."
"None of us do."
"Which is why backstabbing him with his own bell will be so satisfying."
"But..... In order to do that, you'll need to know how to use it." Discord stated.
"Well, do YOU?" Starlight confronted.
"Oh, I know how to use it. But it would be much more easier to show then tell, but in order for all of us to use it, we need the information. Lucky for you, Celly and Lu-Lu have a restricted area in Canterlot that holds all the answers......"
"My triumphant return to Canterlot? I like the sound of that....." Thorax grinned maliciously.
"Well? What are we waiting for? LET'S GO!" Trixie encouraged mischievously......
Later...........
"Why are so many ponies up in the middle of the night?" Trixie pondered.
"It's that summer sun celebration....." Starlight stated.
"How many holidays do you ponies have? No matter, sneaking into the castle won't be a problem."
"Are you sure about that?" Discord pointed at the new fan security measure that blew away anyone who tried to sneak in.
"Hmm, those are new..... But even so!" Thorax turned into a pony guard and left to sneak into the castle.
Thorax approached the guarded entrance.
"Transfer. Have to head inside. Open up."
A guard walked up and levitated her medallion near the door, as it opened up to let her in, then promptly closed again.
Thorax took his medallion and tried to activated the door to no avail.....
"Uh, do yours get glitchy too? More medallions, more problems, am I right?"
Thorax left the entrance to join the others.
"They've increased security into the castle, this is going to be more TOUGH then I thought....." Thorax seethed, as he changed back.
However, they would soon need to hide, as ponies had arrived in the area....
They saw Twilight's friends planning the summer sun celebration.....
"Enforced security, on a crowded holiday, with Twilight and her bumbling friends around? This is all but IMPOSSIBLE."
"No, THIS, IS, PERFECT. We needed a distraction, and those ridiculous ponies just gave it to us. Now, do EXACTLY as I tell you."
Later..........
Braeburn and other Appleloosan's were adjusting the menu for the celebration.
However, they would find that some food is missing.....
"Braeburn! The pies are going missing!"
"What?! We need to find them!"
"Braeburn! Somepony is stealing our cookies!"
"Everypony listen up! There is a thief stealing the food! Find them and search every corner! Protect the food!"
Trixie giggled maliciously as she kept eating her stolen goodies.....
Meanwhile....
"I-I-I-I-I'm not built for high pressure situations!"
"Heh he, sounds like you need some help."
"Who are you?"
"Somepony whose ORGANIZED enough to handle the small stuff so you can focus on the big picture."
"'The big....' Yes! That sounds right."
"Heh heh heh... This kind of weather needs to be handled delicately, good thing I'm here. I'll take care of everything....."
Meanwhile......
The flaming sky firework troupe was in the middle of organization by almost everypony in the group.
"Very impressive."
"Thank you. Unfortunately, we have no room for anypony else at this time...... I'm sorry?"
"Crystal Hoof, and I don't want to join your silly little troupe."
"Pardon me?"
"Oh, I meant no offense. It just seems a pity for us unicorns to waste our talents on something so..... Inconsequential."
The unicorns muttered to themselves.
"Unicorns wield magic, we are the most powerful ponies in the land. Don't you ever feel you're destined for more then..... Performances?....."
Later.......
Ponies were desperately trying to find their stolen food, as the clouds rained thunder and lightning, while the unicorns backed up from their jobs to work for the firework troupe.
"Best, road trip, EVER!" Discord smiled evilly to himself as he watched the magnificent chaos unfold......
Later......
A guard was walking inside to the Canterlot library, until he heard a bark behind him.
He turned around and saw a cute little puppy dog smiling at him.
But a shadow loomed over him, and when he turned around, Discord touched him with his talon, causing the guard to fall into a dazed trance as he turned grey.
Thorax changed back and took the medallion from the guard and used it to activate the entrance
It opened and the four villains headed inside the castle.
"Not here. The archives are in a different area in a different part of the castle." Starlight whispered as she saw a hallway guarded with goose.
However, after she closed the door, a Goose opened and saw the four leaving.
It followed them. until it turned a corner and saw "another goose".
It honked at the goose, and it honked back.
Staring at it intently, the goose left the hall to return to its post, as Thorax changed back.
The villains eventually reached the restricted area.
They searched around, looking for the book on the bell, until Starlight found it chained up.
She used a spell that unlocked chains on it and freed the book, and took it to the others as they grinned maliciously.....
Later.....
"Grogar" returned to the lair.
"So did you find that source of magical power you were talking about?" Trixie asked the "ram".
"Once again, I found success where you all find failure! I have located what I sought, and tomorrow I will set out to retrieve it. When I return, Equestria will finally be ours for the taking......"
Discord merely let out a huff as soon as "Grogar" left.
"Oh, stop pouting."
"You knew you couldn't leave him to be jumpy at every noise, you had to un-Discord him so the ponies wouldn't suspect you." Starlight assured the chaos maker.
"I don't have to like it." Discord complained.
"Well I don't like that we worked so hard to destroy their ridiculous party and they still pulled it off, but you don't see ME complaining." Trixie assured, as she looked glum.
"Our goal wasn't to destroy, it was to distract. And now we have exactly what we need."
"And no time to waste, we have to master the bell before Grogar returns." Starlight stated.
"Oh what's the rush? I think this is a perfect opportunity to cause even MORE havoc on the ponies. It WAS incredibly easy to turn all those Earth Ponies and Unicorn and Pegasi against each other....." Discord added.
"It was, wasn't it? Now that's something to think about......"

Chapter 4. The ending of the end part 1
A unicorn baker was walking to Canterlot to do his job.
"Hey there unicorn friend. Have you heard?"
"About Princess Twilight's coronation? Who hasn't? I'm on my way there now. So much baking to do and-"
"No, no.... It's about the Earth Ponies....."
"I know their crops have been underperforming, but-"
"That's not it. They're hording the food for themselves! I heard the mayor of Appleloosa say that if Unicorn and Pegasi want to eat, they can use their OWN hooves to dig."
"How awful!"
"We unicorns have to stick together, don't we?"
The unicorn baker walked through Canterlot as Mrs. Cake waved at him, but he turned his head away in anger.
Thorax snickered evilly to himself, as he walked back to the lair to meet with the others....
Later.....
Thorax changed back as he met with the others.
"Ahh, Thorax. Another successful field trip I presume?" Starlight asked the changeling.
"Spreading distrust amongst the Unicorns and Earth Ponies is too easy. We could take down Twilight and her friends a HUNDRED times, but as long as they have the 'love' of Equestria behind them, they CRAWL back to defeat us. Not, anymore."
"No friendship, no magic! It's so obvious when you think about it. I did my part freaking out the Pegasi through a very cleverly thought out disguise....."
Thorax turned to Trixie's plastic wings, and stared back at her with a disappointed expression.....
"The magician hat covers away my horn.... Heh he...."
"None the less, 'Grogar'"s absence has given me time to prepare the next part of our plan."
Discord removed the brick of the hiding place with his magic and grabbed the bell.
"Grogar's bell. This artifact can steal any creatures magic. It holds that magic, until it is released by this spell. Which means, all of the DESTRUCTIVE and CHAOTIC powers are OURS for the taking!"
Discord's lips multiplied as he begun to rapidly kiss the bell over and over and over-
"You're drooling on the bell." Starlight stated, as she took it away from him as he frowned.
"Let's try the spell before Grogar gets back, I'm sick of waiting for that old goat's master plan."
"Believe me, we all are. But I'm more disappointed for a reason you may not believe.... Once we drain the 'goat' of 'his' magic, you will see just WHY exactly 'he' needed us all so badly....."
"And how exactly do YOU know about his true plans?....."
"When you are a powerful spirit of chaos like myself, you tend to know and see things others cannot. And believe me, chaos is ANYTHING but blind....."
"Well, are we gonna do this thing or not?" Starlight asked.
"Take my hands."

"So we can ALL be part of the spell! Unless you prefer I take all the magic myself?....."
Trixie took Discord's lion paw, as Starlight took his eagle claw, while Thorax took his tail, which formed a hand.
"Our pact stands. What we do, we do together. Once we have defeated all the protectors of Equestria, we will claim this land and rule our separate kingdoms, ALONE, once more."
Discord activated the bell through some eyes beams, as it begun to lift into the air.
Eventually, the magic contained inside was released from its prison, as the four villains grinned evilly.
The bell blasted the four with the magic, as it was slowly lowered back to the table.
The four villains then stared at their new bodies, as they all laughed maniacally.....
Later.....
"I have returned! Twilight Sparkle's coronation is today, and we're going to ruin it, with THIS artifact. But to succeed, you MUST work together!"
"Oh, way ahead of you Grogar."
Thorax spitted changeling goo at "Grogar", keeping him from moving.
Trixie emerged as a powerful Alicorn along with Starlight, as they had both grown taller.
Thorax then jumped down, revealing himself to be a taller changeling who was no longer a mere drone, but rather an evolved "king" type.
The bell then emerged from their grip.
"The bell?! You had it all this time?! Why didn't you tell me?!"
"Of COURSE we didn't tell you 'Grogar'."
Discord emerged from a flash of light looking exactly like his old self, except with an extra eye on top of his forehead.
"You really thought that I, the spirit of chaos and disharmony would be BLIND to what you were really planning?"
"I- I thought I could get you to-"
"What? Reform? To experience how NICE it feels to be 'friends' with one another? Hah ha ha! You make me laugh! You really do, but you're forgetting one, important, detail, CHAOS IS FAIR."
The other three villains were confused as to what Discord was talking about, until he signaled them to activate the bell.
They did, and it begun draining "Grogar" of "his" magic as he screamed and squirmed.
"Yes! YES! I have you now!"
The other three villains gasped in shock and surprise as they saw "his" true form.
"CHRYSALIS."
Chrysalis gasped in shock and horror as she saw the superpowered villains before her.
"Mother! It was YOU the whole time?!"
Chrysalis panicked and tried to flee, as Thorax rushed after her furiously.
"STOP." Discord grabbed Thorax by the tail.
"Augh! LET ME GO! Let me drain her love!"
"Don't worry Thorax, she'll get what's coming to her soon enough."
"Discord, you knew Chrysalis was Grogar the whole time? Why didn't you tell us?"
"Because if I did tell you, she would have known and would have imprisoned us in Tartarus a long time ago, its because of that crystal ball she kept here that sees everything....."
Trixie promptly blasted the crystal ball into nothing, as she giggled giddily to herself.
"It feels so good to ACTUALLY BE Great and Powerful then just boasting about it, oh I can't wait for Twilight to be crawling on her knees when she gets a load of the new and improved Trixie!"
"Those ponies are so caught up in their 'coronation' plans that they haven't even realized what we were doing, revenge is really sweat isn't it?" Starlight asked the others.
"Well, you better have picked a name for your 'equal' kingdom, because it's time to TAKE OVER EQUESTRIA." Thorax roared, as he and the others laughed maniacally......
Meanwhile.....
Twilight was dealing with pre coronation nerves at the moment, as everypony was looking at them with weird looks and tense frowns.
As she wondered what could be making Everypony so tense with her friends, they were interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Umm, hi..... I think I have an explanation for all of this....." Chrysalis sheepishly answered.
"Chrysalis? What are you doing here?" Twilight asked the reformed changeling queen.
"Well.... I might have made the tiniest mistake..... All well intentioned and humble on my end but-"
"Get to the point." Applejack commanded.
"Well, I thought I could help Princess Twilight become a more confident leader so she has the strength to defend Equestria, which is why I summoned four villains who are now on the loose and are really not big fans of yours so...... My bad....."
The ponies plus Spike gasped at this horrifying information.....
Later........
"Let me get this straight, you wanted to boost Twilight's confidence, so you sent Starlight, Trixie and MY OWN BROTHER to attack her?!"
"Don't forget Discord."
"And while you united these FOUR villains, YOU changed into Grogar?!" Pharynx was in disbelief how his mother could do something so horrible after her metamorphosis.
"Chrysalis, how could you do this to us?"
"Not only did I try to make you a strong, confident leader, I thought that if that didn't work, I could be able to get them see just how wonderful working together can be, and that would be able to reform them..... Especially my young baby boy Thorax....."
"You have made a dangerous miss-calculation mother, do you have anything ELSE you would like to tell us?"
"Sigh..... All my magic is trapped in Grogar's bell, and Trixie, Starlight, Thorax, and Discord have all of the real Grogar's magic....."
"This is terrible! We need to alert the Equestrian princesses before this DISASTER happens!"
"I..... Need some time to think first....."
"Well there isn't any time! They're probably on their way to attack Canterlot! RIGHT NOW!"
"Then we'll stop them!"
"How?! We can't just take on FOUR villains at once!"
"You're kidding right? We've faced impossible odds before, and we've ALWAYS succeeded! I'm pretty sure we can take on four baddies at once." RD assured.
"But we haven't faced anything like this before!"
"So what? Even if you don't believe you can do this, we do. We believe in you, in us." Applejack assured Twilight, as she looked at her friends with confidence......
"Right, Spike! Send a letter to Starswirl! Tell him we need the pillars to guard the boarders of Canterlot. If the villains are coming for a fight, we'll have one waiting for them! With Thorax on the loose, he'll be after Sombra. Warn Cadance and Shining Armor, they're our final line of defense if we fail. The ultimate battle for the fate of Equestria, is coming!"
Meanwhile...........
"We can not go anywhere until you three get a grip!" Discord commanded his three teammates.
"All I'm saying is that we should take the magic inside the bell, then we would share Thorax's ability to shapeshift into ANYTHING powerful!" Trixie proposed.
"None of you except Discord KNOW how to shapeshift! It is a very difficult practice that takes months!" Thorax stated.
"Regardless! We should attack now! The longer we bicker like foals, the more time Twilight and her cronies have to plan our demise!" Starlight pressured.
"LISTEN! I have had it up to HERE with your consistent arguing and debates over 'who gets what' or 'what we should do' or 'I'm the best one here'! We are going to make our move NOW, and THAT, IS, FINALE! UNDERSTAND?!" Discord snapped at the three.
"Why are you so jumpy? I thought you were the spirit of chaos, not rage." Starlight questioned.
..................
"Sigh........ My time in stone after the elements were used by different bearers has left me a little unhinged..... The more time I spend there, the more I lose it........ Which is why we need to rise and finally take Equestria to get our REVENGE on those putrid ponies for the way they treated people like US! Are you with me?!"
The other three nodded in agreement, as they begun to leave the cave.
"So, where should we strike first?"
"Heh heh heh....... EVERYWHERE."
The four then left the cave to invade all of Equestria.
Later.......
"We've faced enemies of Equestria before, and we've always succeeded. That wouldn't be possible without all of you. So I ask for your help again today, in what is our biggest battle yet! All of Equestria is at stake, and I can't do this alone! But I'm not afraid, because with friendship as our armor, and teamwork as our power, nopony can ever bring us down!"
THUD!
"Is that supposed to MEAN something?"
Starlight dropped the guards as they laid defeated by her hoof.
"Starlight?! You're-"
"About to teach you a LESSON!" She yelled, as she zapped her with her magic, which caused her to fall into her throne, badly hurt, which made her friends all gasp.
"Wow, it's true! Alicorns DO have more FUN."
Meanwhile........
"Spread out and stay ready, friends! Canterlot depends on us."
Star swirl and the other pillars look out the mountaintops for trouble, until they see a blue Alicorn flying at them at full speed.
Trixie landed on the ground near the pillars, as Star swirl blasted at her.
However, Trixie blocked the attack with a shield, as she approached intent on dueling the wizard.
Rockhoof tried to charge from behind but Trixie blasted the stallion, causing him to fall back unconscious.
Mist Mane, Meadowbrook, and Star swirl fired their magic at Trixie, but she merely laughed as she blocked them with her shield.
She then blasted Flash Magnus out of the air, which caused him to land into the other pillars.
Somnambula tried to charge, but Trixie blasted her out of the air.
She then imprisoned them in a magic bubble designed as a prison.
"This is where washed up has-beens like you belong! Make way for a real magician Starswirl!"
"NO!"
Rockhoof tried to charge her, but when his shovel hit her, it merely broke into pieces.....
Trixie then picked him up with her magic and tossed him across the floor, as she imprisoned him as well.
"Oh run along, the BIG stallions are playing!"
"Somnambula.... Warn the princesses....!"
Sombambula tried to fly away, but Trixie landed in front of her and blasted her with her magic, before imprisoning her with the others.
"You old coots were barely even a challenge, HAH HA HA!"
Meanwhile........
Sombra tried to make his way to Canterlot to defend the princesses, but was met with company very soon.....
"And just WHERE do you think you're going? You are just the stallion I wanted to see." Thorax licked his lips as he stared at Sombra intensely.
"Too bad you didn't schedule a meeting!" Sombra declared, as he teleported himself and Thorax to a snowy location.
"Where are we?"
"Somewhere you can't hurt anypony!"
"Wrong! I can hurt YOU!"
The two battled it out for dominance, as they rapidly teleported and zapped each other for several minutes.
"Ugh! Stay still still so I can blast you!"
"Oh yes, real motivating."
Sombra blasted at Thorax causing him to fall back.
"You'll pay for that!"
"Put it on my tab."
Thorax in a fit of rage blasted the mountain top above Sombra but he teleported out of the way, causing the avalanche to fall on Thorax instead.
Confident that did the job, Sombra begun walking away, only for the snow to explode and cause him to fall back weakened.
A green cocoon then enwrapped him as Thorax picked him up.
"Now I have all eternity to get my revenge on YOU." He stated, before flying away with him to do who knows what.....
Later......
Twilight and Starlight were having a beam-O-war, until Twilight's spell reached Starlight, causing her to fall back weakened.
"Stand down Starlight Glimmer!" Celestia warned.
"No, never! Not after your 'faithful student' RUINED MY LIFE!" Starlight shouted, as she blasted at the princess of friendship.
Fortunately, she created a shield around herself and the princesses before it blasted them.
"You leave us no choice Starlight!" Celestia stated to the titular Alicorn, as she and Luna flew up to face her.
"What are you doing?!"
Starlight pulled out the bell and drained the two royal sisters of their magic.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"
"So THIS is what I needed all along! The bell takes away all magic, and no more magic means no more talent!"
"That's what you think! NOW!"
Rainbow Dash surrounded Starlight in a rainbow tornado.
Pinkie then stuffed her into her party canon and blasted her into Fluttershy's bee hive.
She screamed and ran with the hive on her head.
"Let me get that for you darling." Rarity stated, as she enwrapped Starlight with a giant necklace and tossed her across the room.
Then Applejack whipped her across, smashing the bee hive on impact.
The ponies plus Dragon then surrounded her, intent on punishing her for her actions.
Unfortunately, Starlight grinned as a massive explosion shattered the glass, sending them flying. As Starlight flew up in response.
"WE'RE HOOOOOOOOOME!" Discord announced, as he exited a portal into the castle as it disappeared.
Thorax flew through the window as Trixie jumped into the room, as she blasted the throne away.
There Chrysalis stood hiding from the chaos, until Starlight tossed her to where the others laid.
Twilight then placed a shield to protect them from the villains.
"You think your pathetic shield can stop us? HAH HA! The pillars have been defeated, your school abandoned. Face it Twilight, YOU'VE LOST."
"You can attack us, and we may fall. But we still stand together, united in friendship. And we won't stop until we defeat you! No matter how many ponies you take down!"
The four could only laugh hysterically, as they had no idea what they were up to.
"Didn't you all notice something was wrong in Equestria? We've been busy."
"A whisper here, a rumor there."
"Destroy some crops, cause some damage."
"Turn pony against pony."
"Until your entire kingdom is on edge! Waiting for just the tiniest thing to push them over the brink!"
"There's no backup friends or rainbow magic to save you now!"
"Trixie thinks it's time for some re-decorating!"
The four then turned around as they blasted MASSIVE hole into the wall, causing the castle to start to collapse.
"You know what's stronger then friendship Twilight? FEAR."
Thorax yelled, as he caused the shield to be destroyed.
"Because when you have to protect yourself, you don't have time for ANYPONY ELSE."
"Too bad you never taught THAT to my village!"
Twilight gasped as the four begun to charge their fire, until a rock landed into them.
Twilight turned around, and saw none other then Rarity who defended her.
The four got up to fire again before Twilight ran and the others lifted a rock to protect her.
"Go Twilight! Get help!"
"No! I can't leave you here!"
"It's our only chance!"
"You'll come up with something to save the day!"
"You always do!"
"We believe in you!"
"LEAVE!!!"
Twilight just barely teleported out of the castle before the rock was blasted by the villain's magic.........

"And now for your complete equalization! Won't that be FUN?"
"Patience Starlight! Before we do whatever we want with them, we need to show the ponies of Equestria that we have defeated their heroes first! And besides, we should have fun with our guests....."
"No! We need to hunt down Twilight Sparkle! As long as she's free she plots our downfall!"
"Please! Is the great and powerful Trixie that scared of one little pony?"
"Rest assured, Twilight won't be plotting our downfall because her spirit has been crushed by friendship failing her and Equestria! Discord yanked Chrysalis's chain, as she fell to the ground weakened, emotionally and physically.
However, as the other three were distracted, Trixie tried to absorb more magic from the bell.
"What do you think you're doing?! Thorax stated that no one other then himself and Discord knows how to shapeshift!"
"Yes, but there's Alicorn princess magic in there now too. I could be so much more great and powerful if I just-"
"What do you mean, YOU, could be?"
"Uh, duh. I'm the best one here!"
The four continued to argue again, as the prisoners stared at each other with dread....
"We gotta find Twilight, she's probably already figured out some way to defeat those monsters."
"Any idea how we get out of here to do that?"
Spike tried to move through the changeling goop.
"Too sticky, there's no way anypony could get through this."
"I'm so sorry. It all made sense in my head, Twilight defeats her worst foes and is filled with confidence. I truly did have the best intentions, I swear I'll make it up to you."
"That's gonna have to be a pretty epic make up."
"Stay AWAY from the bell! If you want to use changeling magic, you would have to learn for yourself through trial and error, which takes TIME." Discord stated to the arrogant and prideful Trixie.
"I could always, tell you how..... It would allow you to turn into whatever monster your hearts desire...... But you'd...... have to ask nicely, and spare my friends."

Starlight fired a blast at Chrysalis, however she grabbed a rock with her bare hooves which reflected it off it and bounced through the chamber before ultimately dispersing.
"HAH HA! You missed!"
"Did she though?"
Sombra cut a hole in his cell as he levitated himself not to fall.
"GET HIM!"
They blasted their magic at him, but he teleported from every blast.
As the villains were distracted, he teleported near the mane six's cage.
"Get Twilight!"
"No, she's always needed YOU."
Sombra destroyed the crystal on top of the mane six, the princesses and the pillar's cages, as they were freed from their prison.
However, Sombra was blasted from behind, as the villains caught up to him.
The princesses then flew down in front of him.
"Get Twilight! We may not have our magic, but we aren't completely helpless! We'll hold them off as long as we can!"
The princesses, the pillars, and Sombra then went to battle with the villains as the others watched.
"Woah, that..... was a pretty epic make up...."
"Just save Equestria!"
Chrysalis then began picking up rocks and throwing them at the legion......
Later........
"Every prisoner is safe in their cells, now we can hunt down the rest of the...... Wendigos?"
"Trixie's not hunting anypony do-do-do-do-down in this weather! Can't we just use our power to get rid of them?"
"I don't think we should, this could work out quite well for me."
"You mean US."
"The Wendigos are powered by disharmony amongst ponies, meaning that they will only bring more chaos to the ponies. Once Equestria is but a frozen wasteland, I will have grown more powerful then I could ever be! Then I will use my power to destroy the Wendigos! Leaving me as their chaotic supreme overlord!"
The other three stared at Discord in doubt......
"And of course you three would have your share of rule in your lands, heh heh....."
"Regardless, the Wendigos are ancient magic! It would be unwise to leave them unchecked, best we deal with them now."
"Pfft."
"Well we should probably deal with Twilight and her friends before anything else."
"I thought you said you were too cold to hunt anypony down."
"We don't have to! They're right there!"
Trixie pointed at the ponies beneath the castle.
"You think they know we're here?"
A portal opened up and the four stepped out prepared for battle.
"I think they have an idea....."
"That bell has Chrysalis, Celestia, and Luna's magic inside, if they use it against us-"
"Only Discord and Thorax know how to shapeshift."
"You just can't accept that you were beaten before you realized there was even a fight, can you?"
"You can't beat us if we never give up! As long as I have my friends beside me, I'll put my faith in-"
"Ugh! Let's just get this over with!"
Trixie fired a blast at the ponies plus dragon, before they were teleported away and hid in the bushes as the villains looked for them.
"We need to get that bell and get Chrysalis and the princesses their magic back. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, you're with me."
"Sweet! I'll grab that bell in ten second-!"
"No. We're the distraction, they're gonna get the bell."
"Come out, come out, wherever you are!"
"There!"
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Sparkle rushed towards the villains, distracting them.
They begun zapping at them trying to stun them but they won't stay still.
"Step right up evil fillies and gentlevillains! Try your luck!"
Thorax tried blasting her, but she kept dodging.
"Missed me!"
ZAP!
"Close! But no cherrychimichanga!"
ZAP!
"Heh heh, thanks for playing!"
Thorax zapped Pinkie's plushie into oblivion, as she quickly fled.
"Do they have to be sooooooo ANNOYING?!"
"Not annoying! DISTRACTING!"
Thorax pointed at Rarity, Applejack, Spike, and Fluttershy trying to take the bell.
They blasted a shot near the ponies plus dragon, causing them to fall back.
They tried taking the bell, but Rarity grasped it with her magic.
They fought over it in a magic tug of war, until Twilight and Applejack joined as well.
They fought with all their might over the bell, until Twilight felt something tap on her shoulder, she turned around and a boxing glove struck her unconscious, as Discord raised back his hand to his body.
The other ponies gasped as they turned to their friend as the villains took the bell and pushed the ponies over to her.
"Looks like 'the magic of friendship' has FAILED you! Won't matter for long now that your friendship will be torn apart." Discord stated, as he prepared to Discord them all.
"No matter what happens, it will still live on." Twilight stated, as she embraced her friends desperately.
Discord merely scoffed before firing the spell at them.

"What happened? Can I open my eyes?"
"Ya sure can!"
They looked and saw a shield protecting them from Discord's magic.
"Way to go Twilight!"

They turned around, and saw an army of everycreature charging at the legion with everything they got.
The Pegasi swooped in and spun around the villains, confusing them.
Then the changelings charged and turned into duplicates of the mane seven, distracting them as the mane seven's shield lifted off the ground.
"Don't let them escape!"
"Which ones?!"
The yaks stomped their hooves, causing the villains to fall backwards.
The mane seven landed on the hill everycreature was on.
"The changelings won't fool them forever, and I don't know how long the unicorns shield will hold!" Pharynx told the heroes.
"I don't understand...... How are you all here?"
"That's kinda our fault........"
"You remember those long boring lectures you gave about friendship at school?"
One flashback montage later......
"Well how about that? It's just like you said the day we opened that school."
"The more creatures who know about friendship, the safer we'll be."
"We TOLD you you had everything figured out!"
However, a changeling hit the shield.
Twilight turned around, and more flyers kept hitting the shield.
Eventually, the unicorns couldn't hold it any more and the shield collapsed.
The villains knocked away the army with a punch to the ground, as they stared at the army with angry scowls.
They charged towards the group.
However, Twilight fired a warning shot near them.
"ENOUGH! Because of you I almost lost my way! But everycreature here has reminded me of the true power of friendship! There will always be darkness in the world, but there will also be those who find the light! The pillars knew this, that's why they created the elements of harmony."
As Twilight continued her speech, the princesses, the pillars, Sombra, and Chrysalis were teleported from the prison to the mountain where everyone was standing against the legion.
"The elements showed me and my friends how strong our friendship could be, together we worked to bring harmony to Equestria. But there will always be more work to do, which is why we teach others about the magic of friendship, others who will continue our work after we are gone."
As Twilight continued, the pillars, the young six, and her friends were all lifted by the magic of friendship.
"Now I truly understand, the elements were just symbols! The real magic has always been right here, and the more who understand how powerful friendship is, the stronger we will all be...... TOGETHER."
The pillars, the young six, and the mane six then all launched rainbows at Twilight, who unleashed one big rainbow that banished the Wendigos.
"Not again......."
The rainbow then blasted the villains, ridding them of their stolen magic and stripping them of their power as they fell to the ground weakened.
Trixie fell to the ground, and was horrified to see that her wings were gone.
Starlight groaned in disappointment at this turn of events.
Thorax gasped in horror, as he was back to being a mere drone.
And Discord was disappointed that his third eye was gone.
Twilight and the others landed back to the ground, as Thorax growled with fury.
"YOU THINK FRIENDSHIP WILL SAVE YOU?! WE WILL ALWAYS RETURN!!! NOTHING WILL EVER STO-"
They got crushed by a giant cupcake, as it rained chocolate milk.....
"Chocolate rain?......"
Pinkie approached Twilight with the bell in hoof.
"Pinkie! You took Discord's magic from the bell?! How do you feel?"
"Hmm, tingly, itchy, also like......."
She begun to grow massive, as she stomped the ground.
"I COULD TURN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE INTO FROSTING!!!"
"Yeah.... Let me get that....."
Chrysalis flew up and took the bell and absorbed the chaos magic in the bell, as Pinkie reverted back to her normal self. Well, as normal as she can be.....
"Waiter, there's some chaos in my soup......"
Chrysalis then activated the bell, and got her magic back.
She then proceeded to give Celestia, Luna, Sombra, and the pillars their magic back as well.
The villains moved out from under the cupcake.
"There isn't a punishment WORTHY of all you've done!"
"I don't think that's necessary your majesty. In case you've forgotten, I was the one who made their villainy possible in the first place."
"But Chrysalis, they are active fiends! Just because you encouraged them doesn't mean they won't stop looking for trouble in the future!"
"But can't we give them a chance? I never thought it would be possible that someone like me could be taught to share love over taking it..... I only ask that we do the same for these four..... Especially my little Thorax."
"I hate you mom."
The princesses pondered over it.....
"Very well.... They will be each assigned a different pony to reform them, as for Chrysalis, her punishment will be decided by her people." Celestia declared, as Chrysalis gave a sigh of acknowledgement.
Thorax could only groan in anger, as the other three merely looked at each other and shrugged.
"Hey, at least it's better then being turned to stone....." Discord commented.....
Everycreature atop the mountain cheered in celebration for their victory.
"When I sent you to Ponyville, I had high hopes. When you became princess of friendship, I knew I made the right decision. But nothing could prepare me for how proud I am right now, Equestria is definitely in the right hooves. You are ready." Celestia declared, as she and Luna bowed for the princess of friendship.
Chrysalis gave a bow as well.
"You know what? I think I am."
