//-------------------------------------------------------// "Trixie's A Failure..." -by G 5-1-6- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// "No, You're Not..." //-------------------------------------------------------// "No, You're Not..." Daniel or Dan as his friends called him, had a simple life. Or did when he was transported to Equestria. It was a smooth transition to say the least. But then a few weeks ago he met Trixie. She was a pony who would do magic trick shows around Equestria….would. One day she was doing her usual things and then this group of ponies in one day took everything from her. They all made her a mockery and ever since no place in Equestria wants her to host her shows. All they see is a faker, but she only became this way thanks to those ponies. Dan was friends with the group so thought they were in the right. But after seeing the mare like this he broke all connections from the original group of friends. He has been around for company and trying to help her get on her hooves again. But she is clearly spiraling down into depression. Her entire life was ruined thanks to a group of ponies in PonyVille. Now she keeps saying the same damn thing everytime Dan tries to help her. “Trixie doesn’t deserve this. Trixie’s a failure….” *** Dan woke up, ate breakfast, then went on his usual journey to Trixie’s place. His used-to-be-friends always ask him why he left them, but he always says the same thing. “Girls, your actions always have consequences.” But yet they are so moronic they keep thinking that ment they did something wrong to him. As he made it to the broken and destroyed inside of Trixie’s house, there was something instantly off. Silence and the smell of something bad. He looked around and nothing, then as he walked into her room he quickly went into action. Trixie herself was already in a mess. Tears out her eyes and blood trickling from her mouth. But next to her was a small bottle with a skull on it, plus a little cup she was about to drink- Dan quickly took the bottle of poison out of her grasp. Causing her to open her eyes and look at him in sadness with blood red eyes and black pupils. His heart ached at the sight, like being scarred as a child, what he saw would never leave him. “TRIXIE! What in Celestia’s name are you doing-” “TRIXIE CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!” She roared back with anger, trying to snatch the cup back from his hands. He quickly picked her up and sat her on the bed while looking directly into her red eyes. “Trix, this isn’t you. This won’t help anything at all. Just let me help for once in your life…” Silence, just silence took over everything. Trixie stopped squirming out of his grasp and looked at him back as more tears coated the bed. Dan took his grip off but remained cautious as he sat next to her on the bed. “E-Ever…ever since that unicorn and her friends ruined Trixie’s show. Trixie’s life has been nothing but agony. “Twilight told me that you kept saying you were the most powerful unicorn in Equestria. She said that’s why they called you out-” “TRIXIE KNOWS! Trixie wasn’t meaning any of that, she knows there are ponies like the princesses who are more powerful than Trixie. Trixie was…was just trying to play in character. But those ponies were too moronic to see that she was playing the act. Now every time Trixie tries to perform magic shows in cities, they always reject because those ponies make me seem like a faker.” “But then you-” She held up a hoof and wiped away more tears. “Yes, Trixie knows, she may have gotten a bit carried away with the Ursa Minor. But that still doesn’t mean Trixie has to be outcasted just because of one mistake. She was playing the part then got shamed by everypony. Trixie’s life got ruined thanks to one unicorn…Trixie’s a failure…” He had heard that same thing all the time, but now seeing as her….attempt had failed, Dan had enough of this. “Trix,” He said as he put her chin up to his gaze. “You are not a failure.” “Yes, Trixie is… Trixie’s cutie mark represents her magic tricks, do you know what it means to fail your own cutie mark? Failure…” “That doesn't matter. Even if it did, cutie mark’s have more than one meaning. It's not always what meets the eye.” “A wand and a magic swirl. What else could Trixie’s cutie mark mean?” She defended. “You don’t have to do magic shows for towns, you can make lots of money doing it for schools. I can help you, I have money that I can give you-” “Trixie doesn’t need Dan’s help…she can…can…” She trailed off before she began to sob once again. Dan quickly put the broken unicorn into a tight embrace, lettering her tears remain for this day. “You can't deal with this alone, Trix. If you were to go, more would be sad than you think. Especially me. I care for you and you’re a good friend, it just hurts that you just won’t let me help.” Whimpering silence for minutes, they seemed like hours. Just the two of them. “Trixie lost….everything, her job, her image, and now….her identity. Who is Trixie?” She broke, trying one last time to reach for that cup, just for Dan to pull her hoof and gaze back to his hug. “Trixie, I know who you were. Just because one accident doesn't mean the whole world should be against you. I don’t care if ponies hate me too, but I will be here for you.” Those red eyes looked back at him with worry and uncertainty. But she still clung to him like a support dog until she began to drift off to sleep, still clinging to Dan’s chest. “You won’t be alone anymore…” *** The next day the news spread out, the news being that Twilight and her friend’s were in their new castle when the table map told them to go to a random village in the middle of nowhere. They will be gone from PonyVille until they come back from their mission. Dan stayed in the kitchen getting some breakfast ready, he had told Trixie to clean herself up a bit, but he still worried about not being directly next to her… But Trixie eventually slowly walked in the kitchen, eyes still a little red and looking on the wooden floor. He kneeled down to her level and put his hand on her withers. She looked back up to his gaze, but this time it was a gaze of trust for the future… Author's Note Kinda hard making a third person story with my biggest project being second person
