The end?

Previous Chapter

"You know what, darling? I think everything is going to be okay," Rarity said with a sigh.

"No more foals, though," Solar Night Dust added firmly.

Rarity laughed. "You're right. The dinosaurs plus the clan—it was too much."

"Golden Dust started seeing a therapist," she continued.

"That’s good," Solar Night Dust said with a nod.

"I think we should put them in school," Rarity suggested.

Solar Night Dust nearly spit out his tea. "What?!"

Rarity smirked at his reaction. "Come on, darling. They’ll love it."

"I’ll ask Filthy Rich—he’s the new head of the school board," she added.

Before Solar Night Dust could respond, Swift Dig suddenly trotted into the room, looking a bit nervous. "Speaking of new things... I’m dating someone."

Solar Night Dust narrowed his eyes. "What?"

From the hallway, Lilly Pad, who had clearly been eavesdropping, poked her head in with a smirk. "Mom is going to be pissed."

Swift Dig shot her a glare. "You don’t even know who it is!"

"Doesn’t matter," Lilly Pad teased. "You know how she gets about these things."

Rarity raised an eyebrow, setting down her teacup. "Who is it, darling?"

Swift Dig hesitated for a moment, shifting his weight before muttering, "Éclair Crème."

Solar Night Dust blinked. "Wait, Éclair Crème from Canterlot?"

"Yes, her," Swift Dig sighed. "Look, I know it’s unexpected, but—"

Solar Night Dust raised an eyebrow. "I heard about what you did to his wife."

Rarity blinked. "Who told you?"

"Golden Dust."

Rarity sighed. "You really need to stop scaring her into spilling secrets."

Solar Night Dust shrugged. "I didn’t even say anything. I just looked at her, and she spilled everything to me."

Rarity chuckled, taking a sip of her tea. "Let’s enroll them anyway. We can always say Celestia forced us."

Solar Night Dust smirked. "A little scandal?" he teased.

"Just a small one," Rarity replied playfully.

Then, Solar Night Dust's playful expression faded. He set his teacup down, his voice turning solemn. "No filly should be hurt like Dimaond and Dew."

Rarity’s ears drooped slightly. She knew how much their suffering weighed on him.

"I fear Dust will never be the same again," Solar Night Dust continued before taking another sip of tea.

Rarity hesitated for a moment before speaking. "She still asks for Golden Crown," she admitted softly. "She doesn’t say it out loud in front of the others, but she tells me in private."
