//-------------------------------------------------------// My Little Cinema World: Dinosaur -by OliverSparkle- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// I //-------------------------------------------------------// I It was a lovely sunny day in Equestria, and it has only been a month since the strange cinema appeared out of nowhere and the Equestrians have began their new adventure after helping Cassie save three girls from Ezekiel Sims as well as meeting Sunny Starscout and her friends. Twilight had informed Celestia and Luna about the strange cinema and how they ended up in a film, and the sisters have started researching to see what they can find about it and how it ended up in Equestria in the first place with the help of Solar Eclipse, their lost brother. John Constantine was doing the same after Oliver told him about it. As for Sunny, she couldn’t be so happy in her life after becoming Twilight’s new faithful student and she was learning a lot more about friendship every single week. And today is going to be special for Sunny and her friends, because for the first time, they’re gonna meet the Crystal Empire family, including Amore. Inside Twilight’s castle, the mane six and Sparky were in the throne room, with the mane eight, Spike, Oliver, Sunburst, Capper and the young seven, waiting patiently for the family to arrive. However, Sunny was so excited to see them that she couldn’t stop smiling excitedly and shaking a little as she was trying not to bounce. She was like this all morning and couldn’t sleep a bit last night. And her friends wasn’t able to calm her down a little before they got to the castle. Sunny continued to shake in excitement and squeal while trying not to bounce which made everyone else a little worried about her. “Wow. I haven’t seen anypony this excited than me before,” said Pinkie, “And I haven’t been that excited before, not even after I helped Cranky smile.” “Well, looks like somepony has beaten Pinkie’s record of being excited,” joked Rainbow before snickered as Pinkie gave her a stern glare. Izzy, Zipp, Pipp and Misty stared at Hitch, showing that he needs to calm her down a bit. Hitch knew they were staring at him, but refuses to look back at them. "She's been like this all morning. Don't look at me like this is my fault," he shot at them. Sparky snickered and Hitch turned and tried to calm down his friend. “Sunny, you really need to calm down. I know you’re excited to see the brother, sister-in-law and niece of Twilight, but getting too excited will make you forget why they’re coming to meet us. Plus you’re becoming a very hyper version of both Pinkie and Izzy put together.” “Hey!” Pinkie and Izzy shouted in unison. “Oh you know I can’t calm down, Hitch! I’m just so excited to meet them! Oh when are they coming? They should be here right now!” Twilight giggled and flew over to stand with Sunny as she gently rubbed her back and said, “Calm down, Sunny. They’ll be here soon. I know you’re excited to see them. I’m excited to see my niece too. But getting this much excited will definitely make you forget why they’re here.” Sunny finally started to calm down. Hitch let out a sigh of relief as Sparky and the four laughed. “Look, they should be here any minute now,” said Twilight, “So why don’t me, Spike and Oliver go see them while you lot stay here?” “Sounds fine by us, darling,” said Rarity, “After all, they’re your family and we’re just…” Rarity was cut off by Applejack saying, “Before you continue, just to remind you, we are no longer Cadence’s favourite girls after discovering what we did.” “Oh. Right. Totally forgot.” “We still deserve it as well as not attending their anniversary last moon,” said Rainbow, “Even though, she invited Fluttershy back to the anniversary after the nightmare problem.” “Well, she didn’t want Lightning to miss out or be with me since he is her son,” said Twilight, “Plus she hates to break a heart from somepony that’s part of all our lives.” “That’s true,” said Starlight. Twilight, Spike and Oliver made their way out of the throne room and walked down the hallway towards the front doors so that they’re ready to let the Crystal Empire family in. “Boy, I’ve never seen Sunny this excited, even after first meeting you and becoming your new student,” said Spike, “It almost reminds me how excited I was when Sunset made me that big gem cake. But, not the exact excitement Sunny was having.” “You were excited, as Sunny was, when you were ready to take a bite out of it, Spike,” said Twilight, “I’m sure your excitement was more higher between hers.” Just then, they heard two knocks on the doors. Twilight can tell that they’re here already, and they were halfway towards them. “Oh, that must be them.” Twilight cleared her throat and softly called, “It’s open! Come in!” The doors opened and it was revealed to be Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, Princess Amore and Princess Flurry Heart entering the castle as the little filly ran up to her auntie and happily said, “Auntie Twily!” Twilight giggled before saying, “Hello, Flurry Heart.” She then trotted up to her niece as they did the special greeting. “Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!” The two laughed and giggled happily while hugging each other. They broke the hug as Flurry Heart ran up to her big brother and hugged him. Oliver hugged her back and spun around while laughing. Twilight, Spike and Oliver hugged Shining, Cadence and Amore. “It’s so good to see you all again,” said Shining, “Especially since, this time, nothing bad is happening like the previous ones.” “You can say that again, Dad. About time our meeting was more happy and less bad stuff happening right now,” said Oliver while Twilight was blowing raspberries on her niece’s belly making her laugh. “So where is your new student and her friends? We’re so looking forward to meet them,” said Amore. “They’re in the throne room. Follow us.” Twilight magically placed Flurry on her back as they trotted to the throne room. When they got to the throne room, Twilight used her magic to open the door and walked in, with the others following behind, as she said, “Sunny, I would like you and your friends to meet my family and the first ruler of the Crystal Empire. Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, Flurry Heart and Amore.” Sunny gasped in shock and excited. Cadence noticed this and giggled before politely saying, “Hello. You must be Sunny Starscout. Twilight has told us so much about you.” “And we are honoured to meet you, too! I’ve been so looking forward to meeting you and your family, Princess Mi Amore Cadence!” Sunny said excitedly. “Please, call me Cadence. I prefer being called that rather than my full name.” “Okay. But I just wanted to say I’m a big fan. When I was a filly, my mother and father used to tell me stories about how you defeated the Changelings and became the new ruler of the Crystal Empire.” “Did they now? Did they also mention what my husband, along with Twilight’s friends and my aunt, did to her before she saved me?” Cadence asked with interest. “Yeah, they did,” Sunny answered before staring crossly at the white stallion, “And I wasn’t happy by his actions or his choice of words.” Shining nervously looked away as he said, “Yeah, I figured you wouldn’t. Sometimes I wish I understand that my actions have consequences if I don’t think before I say or do it.” “I wish we understand that more after the bad actions we’ve made,” said Rainbow. Amore approached Sunny and said, “I’m Amore. I was once Princess of the Crystal Empire before Cadence took over long after my banishment.” “So nice to meet you,” said Sunny, “But wait, if you’re here and Cadence’s now ruling the Crystal Empire, what do you do now?” “Oh don’t worry, I still rule the Crystal Empire as well. I help Cadence protect it while also taking care of Flurry Heart while Shining and Cadence do important duties,” explained Amore. “Wow. That’s amazing,” said Sunny in amazed. Sunny saw Flurry Heart jumping off Twilight’s back and landing safely on the floor. She screamed in delight and excitement as she rushed towards the filly and laid down to Flurry’s level while asking, “Is this your daughter?!” Flurry just smiled at Sunny before waving a hoof politely at her. “Mmhmm,” answered Cadence, “This is Flurry Heart, our little bundle of joy.” The rest of Sunny’s friends approached the little filly and softly smiled at her. “Awww…she’s such a cutie pie,” said Izzy softly, making Flurry blush. Pipp gently placed her hooves on both of Flurry’s cheeks and rubbed them while cooing, “Who’s a cute filly? You are. Yes, you are.” After Pipp had finished rubbing the filly’s cheeks, Zipp saw that Flurry Heart was an alicorn, and at a young age. She knows that ponies, like Twilight, earn their wings. But from seeing her as a young alicorn, she knows she’s the first pony to be born as one. “Wow. A pony that was born an alicorn. You weren’t joking, Twilight,” said Zipp in amazed. “I told her Twilight wasn’t lying,” said Sunset to Sunburst. Zipp excitedly took out her phone while saying, “Oh I so got to know how this is possible and how you find using alicorn magic when you were…” “Ahem!” Hitch gave Zipp a stern look, showing that she made a promise about doing questions and investigating when meeting the Crystal Empire family. And she was almost gonna break it. “What? I just want to know how she was born an alicorn and take notes. It could be important one day…” Zipp suddenly saw Hitch tapping his hoof on the floor while raising an eyebrow. “And it wouldn’t matter, because it won’t happen again and I’ll be breaking my promise. Fine.” Zipp switched off her phone and put it away. “Better,” said Hitch. Sparky wanted to meet Flurry Heart himself. So he carefully climbed off Hitch’s back and walked over to the filly. He smiled happily at her as she smiled at him back. “You have a dragon too?” Flurry asked in amazed. “Yep. Raised him myself after finding his egg on a beach,” said Hitch in a proud tone, “His name is Sparky Sparkeroni. Named him myself, too. Say hi, Sparky.” “Hi,” said Sparky, in a baby dragon voice, while waving his hand at Flurry. “Hi, Sparky,” said Flurry politely while waving a hoof at the baby dragon. Sparky chuckled before gently but playfully tapped Flurry on the shoulder. He wanted to play tag with her. Sparky ran off while laughing before Flurry could quickly tag him back. Flurry knew what he was trying to tell her as she playfully laughed and chased after the baby dragon. “Hey, get back here! Sparky!” Flurry called playfully. The two ran out of the room as the ponies and creatures all laughed. “Check it out, honey. Flurry has a new friend,” said Shining happily. Cadence giggled before saying, “She sure does.” “So adorable,” said Misty softly. “So Twily has been telling us you’ve been excited to meet us after inviting us to meet you,” said Shining. Sunny started to squeal excitedly again before saying, “Oh I’ve been SO excited to meet you all! When I became her student, she told me everything about you after reading about the Crystal Empire, and I just couldn’t wait to see you!” “Wow, has she been this excited all morning?” Cadence asked. “Oh you have no idea,” sighed Twilight. A few hours ago, when it was really early in the morning, Twilight was still asleep in her bed. Suddenly, she felt something, or rather somePONY, jumping on her bed. Her eyes shot open as she sat up and saw Sunny jumping up and down on her bed with a very excited smile on her face. “What time are they coming?! What time are they coming?!” She asked excitedly while still jumping. Twilight groaned while placing her pillow over her face as she then asked, “Aren’t you a little grown up to be doing that?” Shining, Cadence and Amore were shocked to hear that Sunny actually jumped on Twilight’s bed, like a little filly, to show she couldn’t wait to meet them. “Wow. Now you know how me and Cadence feel when Flurry jumps on our bed early in the morning,” said Shining. Twilight just chuckled as she still think Flurry jumping on her parents’ bed was cute and funny. “Speaking of Flurry, how’s she been?” Oliver asked, “Anything new happened that impressed you both?” “Oh she’s been doing just fine, especially after your father helped take care of the problems she was having at school,” answered Cadence. “And she’s done brilliant with her exams,” added Shining, “Seriously, I saw an A on every piece of paper. And no Bs or Cs, and she had no help with the questions. Well, she did have a little advice from me. But she still nailed with that advice.” “And no cheating?” Rainbow asked. “No cheating from what we’ve heard from her teachers,” answered Shining, “I can already tell she’s gonna be a great princess when we help her princess exams.” Applejack was the only pony surprised by this. “You’re…gonna teach her how to be a princess already?” “Yep. Nothing too hard or too serious. Just showing her how to use princess magic, how to form a magical shield like Cadence did, how to run the princess title her own way and how to handle royal guards. That’s all we plan to do for her, and we’re gonna do them one at a time one month at a time,” said Shining, “We just started teaching her princess magic a few days back. And she’s been learning so fast, I couldn’t stop feeling proud of my baby girl.” Applejack wasn’t too sure about it. She still remembered how Flurry Heart was the first pony to be born an alicorn and how she managed to destroy the Crystal Empire, and she couldn’t help but think teaching Flurry these things right away could lead to her losing control again and doing something that can lead to big accidents and make something bad happen. “Wow! She passed all her exams? That’s incredible!” Twilight said proudly, “I’m gonna have to buy her a special treat for all her hard work.” Cadence approach Misty and said, “So, Misty, Twilight told me how you used to help an evil alicorn before getting your cutie mark and discovering your true family after leaving her side.” Misty started feeling nervous as she rubbed her hoof. She was worried Cadence might tell her off or say how wrong she was for helping Opaline. However, Cadence was smiling before saying, “I’m so proud you chose to leave her and be with your friends and real family.” That made Misty gasp in surprise. “You must be really proud making the right decision and joining the good side,” said Cadence. Misty smiled at Cadence before saying, “Well, I couldn’t have done it or found my real family if I haven’t met these ponies and showed me the true meaning of friendship.” The mane five smiled at Misty. Just then, Flurry Heart and Sparky entered back into the throne room. They’ve finished playing tag after running out of breath and decided to rest for a bit after starting their friendship. The adults and children saw them come in as Shining said, “Well, looks like you two had fun. Did you enjoyed playing together?” “Uh-huh,” answered Flurry, “I tagged Sparky two times while he tagged me three times. He’s really good at playing tag.” “I’ll say,” said Hitch, “Were you behaving like a good dragon while playing with Flurry, Sparky?” Hitch gently rubbed the dragon’s head as he giggled before nodding his head to answer his Papa’s question. “Also, while we were playing, I spotted a cinema next to Auntie Twily’s castle,” said Flurry Heart, “I didn’t know you started having a cinema, Auntie Twily.” Twilight scratched the back of her head before saying, “Well, it’s kind of a long story, little bug. And to be honest, it’s not exactly my cinema. Let’s start from the very beginning.” Twilight began explain to Shining, Cadence, Flurry and Amore how a cinema magically appeared out of nowhere and for some unknown reason that they still haven’t figured out yet. She also told them how there was only room with a projector that can send them into any film it decides to show and they can be trapped in that film until they’ve reached the end of the film. She then told them how their first adventure, in a film, was how they helped a woman, who can see into the future, to save three girls from an evil man who was trying to kill them in order to “save” his future. The Crystal Empire were completely shocked after hearing the story. Shining’s eyes were wide in surprise, Cadence and Amore had their hooves over their opened mouths and Flurry was shocked that her mouth was opened as she moved her hoof over it. “Oh my. You really went through all that?” Amore asked. “Yep. Been through a lot of danger from escaping Ezekiel Sims to surviving from an exploding building,” said Smolder. “Me and Cassie nearly drained,” said Misty. “Zipp wouldn’t stop bothering poor Lightning about his bloodline with The Storm King,” said Izzy. “No need to rub it in, Izzy,” said Zipp through clenched teeth. “And little pony had strange dream with somepony laughing evilly,” said Yona. “Did he? Oh dear, is he doing alright now?” Cadence asked worried. She was worried that Lightning might be going through the same experience he had before with the nightmares he had. “Yeah, he’s okay,” answered Fluttershy, “It wasn’t anything like the nightmares he had back then. This one is still a mystery to why he only had it and what was it trying to tell him.” “But me and Silverstream often stay with him just in case he has more and none of us do,” added Smolder. “I see. So Lightning has a strange dream while none of you, like it couldn’t be bothered to tell you something as well,” said Amore, “That is very strange.” “Mama, Dad, I know that cinema is strange and it wasn’t meant to be there, but can we at least take a look inside? Please?” She then gave her parents the puppy eyes. Shining chuckled before saying, “Well, if it’s okay with your auntie, then I don’t see why not.” Flurry smiled at her auntie with her puppy eyes still showing. Twilight smiled at her niece’s pleading look as she then said, “Well, I don’t think a little tour around it won’t do any harm. So, yeah. We can take you inside the cinema.” Sparkly nodded his head happily while saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” He then grabbed one of Flurry’s hooves and dragged her towards the cinema while cheering. “I’m coming, Sparky. Not so fast,” giggled Flurry. The others all laughed at Sparky’s excited behaviour, even Hitch was laughing too. “Oh that baby dragon. There’s no stopping his happiness,” said Hitch as they all left the throne room and headed towards the cinema while Lightning rode on Silverstream’s back. Flurry and Sparky entered the cinema first as Sparky let go of Flurry’s hoof and started jumping up and down excitedly while pointing at the popcorn stand. Flurry gasped in surprise after seeing it. “They have popcorn here?!” Sparky nodded his head before running to the stand, grabbed a box of popcorn and ran back to the filly. He placed the box in front of her and pointed at the popcorn, telling her to try one. Flurry looked at the popcorn before shrugging her shoulders and took one piece. She threw it into her mouth and chewed it. Her eyes went into wide shock. She had never tasted popcorn like this before. This led to her eating more with Sparky eating some as well. The adults and children entered the cinema and saw the two enjoying themselves with popcorn. This made them smile, including Shining. Twilight walked over to the two, while giggling, before asking, “Enjoying yourselves, are we?” Flurry nodded her head before swallowing the popcorn in her mouth and said, “This popcorn is so yummy. I’ve never had popcorn like this before.” “Really? Let’s try one then.” Shining took a piece of popcorn and threw it in his mouth. He chewed on it before his eyes went wide in shock. “Wow! Now that IS best popcorn!” He started eating some more. “Dad, save some for the rest of us,” laughed Flurry. “Hey, if anypony’s gonna be fat in this family, it’s gonna be me,” said Shining before continuing to eat more popcorn. “So, where’s this one room with that odd projector, Twilight?” Cadence asked. “Just up ahead. Follow me,” answered Twilight politely as she led her family to that one room with her friends, nephews and students following behind while Shining finished the last popcorn in the box and threw the empty box in a nearby bin. The ponies and creatures entered the theatre room where the Crystal Empire family saw it had seats in a row in front of a big screen with that strange projector behind the seats. “Wow. So this is that one theatre room in this cinema,” said Shining while looking around the place. “Yeah, really strange when we first saw it. Which is why we never opened this cinema to the public,” said Sunset. “And I take it that’s the strange projector that sends you into any film it chooses,” said Cadence as she pointed at the projector. “Yep. The one that we still have no idea how or why its here,” said Oliver, “Not even Constantine has an answer or theory about it just yet.” “And if somepony pulls that lever, it will start up and sends you into the big screen, right?” Flurry asked. “Yes,” answered Twilight, “And it’s very dangerous since there’s no telling what film we could be in next. Which is why we refuse to use it unless it’s necessary.” Flurry started to feel worried that she might switch on the projector, even by accident. She took a few steps back where she bumped into her father’s hoof. Shining can tell she was worried about it, so he smiled at his daughter and gently rubbed her mane as he said, “It’s okay, sweetie. I know you wouldn’t turn it on, even if it was just an accident. But I understand why you wish to not stand near it. And I know it looks dangerous from what your auntie has said, which is why I’m not going near it either.” “Your father’s right, Flurry,” said Pinkie, “You mustn’t touch the lever and pull it, like this.” Pinkie pulled the lever on the projector while Twilight and the girls shouted, “No, Pinkie! Don’t!” But it was too late. The projector was now back on as it shone a bright light on the big screen before turning into a portal. “Oh sweet Celestia, Pinkie! Why?!” Rarity asked crossly. Flurry screamed in fear as she saw ashes coming off her hooves and into the screen. “What’s happening to me?!” “We’re about to be sent into the screen again!” Ocellus answered in fear. Their bodies all went into pieces of ashes while flowing into the big screen. “Not again!” Pipp screamed as the ashes flew into the big screen altogether before the portal disappeared from the screen, trapping them all in another movie. “Some things start out big and some things start out small. Very small. But sometimes the smallest thing can make the biggest changes of all.” (https://youtu.be/Usa2dc1R59o?si=iE3IqP3glHLNGb-F) In a land, known as the Nesting Grounds, there was nest filled with dinosaur eggs. A mother Iguanodon nuzzled the one egg that was in the middle of her nest. She smiled at her egg before looking up and sees a flock of Ichthyornis flying in the distance, making noises. The mother Iguanodon carefully pushed the egg with the rest of her eggs as a baby Parasaurolophus looks at the nest before the mother shoos it away. But it returned as it starts sniffing the eggs. The mother growled at the Parasaurolophus, making it run off. The baby Parasaurolophus runs to the other nests, but gets shooed off by the dinosaur mothers guarding them. It then later ran through the river through a flock of Ichthyornis as it watched them fly away into the sky. The baby Parasaurolophus saw a Longisquama landing on a log as it walked towards it. The Longisquama ate a dragonfly before flying away after the baby Parasaurolophus got too close. The Parasaurolophus chased the Longisquama into a forest where the reptile landed on a tree. The Parasaurolophus came in close proximity to the Longisquama, but it flew up to what appeared to be a tree. The Parasaurolophus looks up at it as two drops of saliva landing on a tree branch. It looks at one of them and sniffs it before looking up again to see it came from a mouth of a biggest and nastiest dinosaur in the valley. The Parasaurolophus ran out of the forest in terror while crying which caught the attention of the mother Iguanodon and the other dinosaurs. Suddenly, out from inside the forest, came a bloodthirsty Carnotaur as it bursted from the trees and roared. It looked at the baby Parasaurolophus, but had no interest in it as it ran past the Parasaurolophus and towards the big dinosaurs. The dinosaurs all ran away. The mother Iguanodon tried to resist as much as she could with her nest, while the other dinosaurs ran over her, but the Carnotaur was coming in so fast that she had no choice but to flee with the others as the Carnotaur’s foot broke her nest and her eggs. Except for one. The Carnotaur roared before seeing a Pachyrhinosaurus trying to escape, but it couldn’t run that fast as the Carnotaur pinned it down to the ground, with his teeth, and killed it before let out a roar and began eating its meal while the other dinosaurs escaped. The only surviving egg just laid on the destroyed nest as a Oviraptor came in and sees it. It then grabbed the egg and run into the forest, past the river and on the log to where no dinosaur can see it. The Oviraptor looked behind to see if no dinosaur was around before dropping the egg a few times. It was then ready to take a bite, but then heard a noise before looking behind. Suddenly, another Oviraptor grabbed the egg and the two brawl over it before it fell from their claws and ended up in the river. The two watched it disappeared before they brawled again. The egg flew in the river as a Koolasuchus swallowed it, but then spat it out. It watched it float back up before swimming away. Two Talarurus were quarrelling before seeing the egg pop up and floating away. One of them sniffed it before they went back to quarrelling. The egg continued to float in the river as a herd of Pachyrhinosaurus drinking from that river. A Pteranodon flew by and picked the egg up with its beck as it flew down a waterfall and through the stream. It then flew past a bunch of dinosaurs and underneath one’s tail before flying to a far away where it flew to its nest so she can feed the egg to its two babies. However, before it can feed them, two Ichthyornis pestered the Pteranodon as it dropped the egg and it flew into the branches of a tree. //-------------------------------------------------------// VII //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note In Loving Memory of Joan Plowright 1929 - 2025 VII Back at the empty area, the herd have finally finished fighting and had enough water to keep them going, but it was almost getting dark by the time the fighting ended, so Kron decided they should rest before they continue on. Aladar, the three lemurs, the old dinosaurs and Url were asleep together with the Equestrians sleeping with them as well. Fluttershy was sleeping against Baylene’s tail with Lightning sleeping in her hooves and his head resting on her chest while Smolder, Capper and Silverstream was sleeping next to the two. Fluttershy slowly opened her eyes and looked down at her sleeping son. She smiled and giggled softly as she watched him sleeping peacefully in her embrace with no nightmares or fears ruining his sleep. Before she could continue watching Lightning sleep, she heard Suri’s voice as it woke Aladar up. He then looked at where Suri’s voice was coming from which was at the top of a hill with a mini cave. “Now, you come out on three. One, two, three!” Suri said at the cave. Aladar got up and went to see what was going on and who was Suri talking to. Fluttershy decided to check it out, too. But she wanted her child to continue sleeping. So she gently placed him underneath Silverstream’s wing, without waking them both up. Lightning slowly woke up a bit while stirring before saying, “Momma?” Fluttershy gently stroked Lightning’s mane while softly saying, “Shh…I’ll be back. Go back to sleep.” Lightning went back to sleep as he nuzzled underneath the hippogriff’s wing. Fluttershy smiled softly at him and carefully kissed him on the forehead before flying off to where Aladar was heading. Inside the cave was the two baby Iguanodons, who were scared of coming out and were thirsty, especially after the fight for the small water. Suri was trying to get them come out, but nothing worked so far. “Come on. Come on out. No one’s gonna hurt you.” Aladar and Fluttershy, which made the Iguanodons scared a little more, as Aladar said, “Hey, hey. What’s going on?” “The little Aladars haven’t had anything to drink. I think they’re scared of me.” “Well, they haven’t seen anything like us or you before. And after what Kron has been doing, they probably think we’re the same as him,” said Fluttershy. “Who wouldn’t be? Both Kron and Suri are pretty scary,” said Aladar. Suri made a pretend scary growl at the Iguanodons which made Fluttershy shook her head unamused. Aladar chuckled before saying, “Come on over, guys.” The baby Iguanodons grunted in fear while backing up a bit. “Take it easy. Don’t worry. She’s just a hair ball.” Fluttershy chuckled before the two walked to a spot where the babies can have water. “And proud of it,” said Suri, “Come on. They’re gonna find you some water.” Suri leaped to catch up with Aladar and Fluttershy. The Iguanodons decided to trust them and came out to catch up with them. Neera was still awake as she saw Aladar digging a hole with the two babies approaching him. She made her way down to see what he was doing. Aladar finished digging a dip hole as he said, “Here. Now, you just take a foot and press.” Aladar pressed his foot down as water came out from the ground. The babies were impressed by this and wanted to have a go. They both started fighting on who was gonna press their foot down first. “Whoa.” “Hey, come on, you two. There’s no need to fight,” said Fluttershy. “Hey, hey, hey. Come on. Come on. Knock it off,” said Aladar, as the two stopped fighting. “Let’s work together here, huh? A little teamwork. Ready?” Neera got a little closer and saw Aladar was helping the children get water. She was still surprised by this as she never saw a dinosaur help another dinosaur out. “One, two, three. Press!” Aladar and the two Iguanodons pressed their foot into the hole as a lot of water filled up the entire hold. The Iguanodons were now happy and started drinking the water. “Good job, Suri,” said Aladar as Suri smiled before watching the babies drink. “So, where are your parents, anyway?” “Yeah, I’m wondering the same thing,” said Fluttershy. “A lot of us are on our own now,” said Neera while approaching them. Aladar and Fluttershy started to understand that the babies don’t have any parents. Fluttershy felt bad for them, the same way when she found out Lightning lost his mother and how his abusive father blamed him for her death. “You both like kids, I see,” said Neera. “Well, the skinny ones can be a little chewy,” said Aladar which made Neera chuckle. “And I have a child of my own. He’s adopted, but I still love him with all my heart,” said Fluttershy. “That’s nice,” said Neera. “I’m Aladar…the “jerkasaurus”.” That made Neera remember what she called him yesterday as she said, “Ohh. Sorry about that.” Aladar laughed. “You’re probably right.” Fluttershy chuckled lightly before saying to herself, “Best leave them be. I promised Lightning I’ll be back, anyway.” She flew back to her friends as Plio saw what was happening with Aladar. She shook her father to wake up while whispering, “Dad, wake up.” Yar snorted before waking up. “Huh?” He then saw Aladar with Neera. “Why did you help that old one?” Neera was on about Aladar helping Eema out during the fighting herd. “What else could we do? Leave her behind?” Neera looked down as Aladar saw why she asked. “Oh. You mean, you actually…” “Well, that happens all the time. You don’t survive if you’re not…” “Strong enough.” “Well…yeah.” “Is that you talking, or your brother?” Aladar jokingly asked. Neera was about to glare at him, but instead, she sighed and said, “Everything’s so different. I-I don’t know what to think anymore.” Neera walked away as Aladar followed her. “Look, Neera, we watch out for each other, we all stand a chance of getting to your nesting grounds.” Neera stopped before saying, “You sound so sure.” “I’m not, but it’s all I know.” Neera smiled at Aladar before he said, “So, um… Oh, water. I’ll, uh, get you some water.” He started digging a hole for her. Neera chuckled, “Can I try it?” “Sure. Just press.” Aladar placed his foot down in the hole. Neera did the same as both their foot pressed against each other. Neera gasped. “Hmm.” Aladar chuckled before both him and Neera bumped their heads together. “Oops.” Neera chuckled, “Sorry.” “No. You-You first.” Yar and Plio watched the two get along with smiles on their faces as Zini woke up. “One down… and, well, one down,” Yar said, much to Zini’s disappointment. Aladar and Neera drank the water in the hole together. The two were starting to get along with each together, without even knowing they were starting to feel love inside of them. Kron, however, saw his sister was with Aladar. He wasn’t too happy that Neera was talking to someone. He was planning on going over to stop them, until he heard the voice of Bruton. (https://youtu.be/r89CfOnMwqQ?si=tB1vFWkemdGsav-B) “Kron!” Kron turned and saw Bruton walking to him, and saw he had cuts on his sides. “Carnotaurs!” “What? They never come this far north,” said Kron in fear. “The fireball must’ve driven them out.” Bruton grunted from the pain from the cuts he had gotten from his fight with the Carnotaurs. Suddenly, they heard the Carnotaurs howling from the distance. Kron knew they were coming right this way, and knew they have been following Bruton. “You led them right to us! Maybe you can feed them with your hide! Move the herd out, double-time!” Kron walked off as Bruton bellowed to wake the herd up. Kron bellowed to tell the herd to move out. They all got up and started heading out of the area. Aladar and Neera saw the herd moving out. “What’s happening?” “My brother’s moving the herd,” said Neera as they began to walk over to her brother. Kron was making sure every dinosaur was moving out as he then heard his sister’s voice, “Kron, what’s going on?” “Carnotaurs. If we don’t keep moving, they’ll catch up to us.” “But the others in the back…They’ll never make it,” said Aladar. “They’ll slow down the predators,” said Kron, showing he doesn’t care about the old dinosaurs or leaving any weak dinosaurs behind. “You can’t sacrifice them like this!” Aladar ran up to where Kron was standing, “Hold it! That could be you back there! Or you!” Kron was getting by Aladar’s interference as he snarls and pushed Aladar to the ground. He got close to his face and said, “If you ever interfere again, I’ll kill you.” Kron snarls and headed off. Aladar breathed heavily. Neera went over to him, but Kron saw this and shouted, “Stay away from him!” Kron snarls at Aladar and made Neera walked away from him as he smacked Aladar in the face with his tail. “Ooh.” Aladar growled at Kron and was about to go at him as Neera said, “Aladar, no. You just-just go. I’ll be okay.” Aladar sighed and ran back to the old dinosaurs and the Equestrians as Neera watched him go. The Equestrians and the old dinosaurs were waking up as they saw the herd moving out, which made them all confuse. “Why are they moving out at this time?” Rainbow asked. “I don’t know,” said Rarity. Suddenly, they heard Flurry’s voice calling from the distance. “Mama! Auntie Twily!” They turned and saw Shining and Flurry Heart running towards them. Flurry jumped onto Twilight and hugged her tightly. “Hey, hey, hey. What’s wrong? What happened?” Twilight asked while hugging her niece. Shining was about to answer, but heard Aladar’s voice as they saw him running to them while saying, “Let’s go! Let’s go! Carnotaurs!” “Not sure if that’s what we saw attack Bruton earlier, but that’s what’s happened,” said Shining. “Carno-what?” Yar asked. “Carnotaur. A mouthful of teeth with a bad attitude. Let’s go,” said Eema as she got up. “Wait, is that why they’re moving? How do we know they are even coming? We don’t even know what they are,” said Rainbow. “No time for guessing who’s right or wrong, Rainbow. If they say they’re bad news, then they’re bad news,” said Sunset, “And the herd’s already leave, so we might as well just go.” “Come on, you guys! Get on! Get on! We’re gonna get left behind,” said Aladar as the lemurs quickly got onto his back. Aladar made a run to it to the herd while the old dinosaurs were getting up slowly as they were old. The Equestrians stayed to help them before noticing Aladar was heading off. “Aladar, wait!” Lighting called. “Let’s go! Hurry up! We’re losing them!” “Aladar, slow down,” said Plio, which he did before seeing the old dinosaurs walking slowly due to them being old with the Equestrians walking beside them. Aladar breathed heavily and saw the herd were now gone and too far to catch up to, along with Neera who was still being moved by her brother. Aladar sighed before looking back at his friends. He knew he can’t leave them behind or make them go faster or get the herd to actually stop, to which will lead to Kron killing him. So Aladar decided to stay with them and help them. Baylene and Eema were breathing heavily as they were struggling to catch up to Aladar. Nighttime came, and the Carnotaurs were now in the area where the herd were once at. The male one growled before drinking some water from the water hole. The female one came over and drank some water, too. Thunder started to rumble while the male Carnotaur spotted the footprints made by the herd. It growled as it can their meals weren’t far behind. //-------------------------------------------------------// II //-------------------------------------------------------// II Inside an open space of a forest, a bright light shone and disappeared to reveal the mane eight, the mane six, Spike, Sparky, Capper, Sunburst, Oliver, the young seven and the Crystal Empire family have entered the forest. “Oh great. We’re back on the big screen, and not the fun kind,” said Smolder crossly while crossing her arms, “Which means we have to go through the same thing as last time again. Just great.” “Oh for Celestia sake, Pinkie! Why’d you do that?” Rainbow asked crossly. “What? I was just showing Flurry what not to do.” “Wha…I’m not a baby anymore, Pinkie. I don’t need to be shown what I’m not suppose to do,” said Flurry crossly. “Yeah, I can vouch for her,” said Shining. “Honesty, Pinkie, this has to be one of the stupidest thing you have ever done,” said Rainbow, “And from the looks of it, we’re not even in New York like last time.” “Or that Amazon forest me, Twilight, Spike and Cassie went to,” said Sunny. “Well, we wouldn’t be back in that film anyway,” said Pinkie. “And why’s that?” Sunset asked. “Well, the film didn’t do so well at the box office that Dakota Johnson said she will never do a film like that again, and the universe is pretty much over now with no more spin off films, no evil alien appearing again and no evil six team up film that they’ve been planning to make for a long time now.” Everyone was confused by what Pinkie have just said. But Twilight slowly started to understand it before saying, “Huh. I guess that makes sense. Especially from all the nostalgic comments we’ve gotten in some of the chapters, along with that comment with the Pepsi Man video!” Twilight and everyone else started to glare at you as they know she wasn’t lying about getting nostalgic comments in the first film they’ve been in. After a few seconds of glaring, Sandbar asked, “So what are we going to do now?” “The same thing as we did last time,” said Gallus, “We find the main character, or characters, tag along with them until we fight the main villain and get to the end of the film so we can go home.” Everyone looked at the blue griffon in surprised, especially from the adults, Sparky, Spike, Flurry and Lightning as this was the first thing they’ve heard Gallus say something like that. The young five only heard him like something like that from that day they stopped Cozy Glow from making magic disappear. Gallus looked at everyone before saying, “What? Need to be prepared to remember things. The teachers might give us a test about it one day.” Twilight felt proud to see Gallus actually does care about friendship and the school, even after what has been going on in his life before attending the school. “So how do we find the main character of this film?” Amore asked. “Well first things first, you four need to understand the rules of being in a film first,” said Sunburst. “There are rules?” Shining asked. “Yes, and we really need to follow and obey them,” said Twilight, “Rule one, never tell the characters they’re from a movie. It will destroy the cinema history. Rule two, do not tell them where we’re actually from. Rule three, if there any names we’re not allowed to say, because they’re not really put of that universe for some stupid reason, don’t say them.” “Even if they don’t know what name of the creature from whatever universe their films are from?” Flurry asked. “That, too,” answered the purple alicorn. “So only three rules. Or four, if that one Flurry mentioned is separated,” said Shining, “I think we’ll be able to obey them.” “Will anymore rules come up, even if we appear in more films with you?” Amore asked. “Not quite sure. I’ll ask Cosmos the next time we see her,” said Twilight, “She knows these things more than we do.” Fluttershy nodded her head in agreement. “Well, now that we are clear on the cinema rules, let’s get to doing the same thing as last time,” said Spike. “But this forest is so big! It took us days or weeks to find them!” Pipp said. “Relax, Pipp, I’m sure we’ll be able to find them,” said Hitch, “I mean, they could even show up any second now.” Suddenly, they all heard screaming. They then saw three small female lemurs leaping past them before seeing a dinosaur roaring and chasing after the lemurs. “Or the first problem comes first. What a surprise,” said Hitch in annoyance. “Was that a…dinosaur?!” Pinkie asked in surprised. “I believe so. And it’s chasing after those poor lemurs,” said Starlight. “We’ve got to save them!” Sunburst said. “After it!” Twilight said as they chased after the dinosaur. The three lemurs were screeching as they ran into the big empty log. They trumpeted as the dinosaur tried to use its foot to grab them, but missed them. One female lemur, with white and brown fur, was gasping as she and the other two exited the log with the dinosaur still on their tail as they screeched again. They jumped on four rocks in a lake with the dinosaur doing the same. The lemurs leaped on a log as the dinosaur jumped on it, causing it to fall a bit. The lemurs screamed while leaping as the dinosaur was starting to get closer. They leaped off the log with the dinosaur chasing them on the other side. The white and brown fur lemur was leaping as fast as she could, but got captured by the dinosaur’s mouth, trapping her inside with her tail sticking out. The other two lemurs landed on a tree log and looked back in shock. The Equestrians peeked from the bushes and gasped in shock to see what was happening as the dinosaur slurped the tail into its mouth. The two lemurs whimpered in fear as the dinosaur got closer to them while growling, and revealing to be an Iguanodon. The lemurs continue to whimper and shake in fear while the Iguanodon was now snarling, ready to make its next move. Flurry, Sparky and Lightning started to feel scared as to what the dinosaur was gonna do next. The dragon and colt hugged their parents while Flurry hid behind her brother’s hooves. Rainbow couldn’t stand and watch. She knew they needed help as she then said, “Oh, I can’t stand and watch. They need help!” She flew from the bushes and towards the dinosaur. “Rainbow, wait!” Applejack called. But it was too late, Rainbow was already near the dinosaur and lemurs. “Hey, you big bully! You leave them alone! You had your meal, now get out of here!” The dinosaur and the two lemurs looked confusedly at the rainbow maned pegasus before hearing a female voice from inside the dinosaur’s mouth. “Let me out! Let me out!” The dinosaur couldn’t hold her in its mouth any longer as it spat her out, making her land on the log the other two were on. Seeing this made both Rainbow and the others surprised and confused. “Huh? It didn’t ate her?” Rainbow asked. The dinosaur coughed before saying, “Hair ball.” He then spat out the fur that was left inside his mouth. “And he can talk,” said Sunset. “That was great! Get him!” Said that female lemur as she jumped onto the dinosaur with the other two tagging in as they laughed. “Oh, no! Attacking lemurs! Suri, please!” Said the dinosaur in a playful tone, “I can’t take it! There are too many of you!” He then lay down on the grass while Suri and the lemurs continue to jump on him, “Come on! Pick on someone your own size!” Sparky, Lightning and Flurry heard the playful noise and started to look at what was happening as they saw the lemurs jumping on the dinosaur. “Hey, that’s not harming. That’s playing,” said Lightning. “Yeah, and it looks like the dinosaur is friendly,” said Fluttershy. “Yeah,” agreed Capper as they all went out from the bushes and stood next to Rainbow. Unknown to them, a grown female lemur with white and brown fur was peeking through the leaf and watched them play and giggle. She chuckled before seeing the Equestrians watching. She got confused before heading over to them. “Oh, no…” the dinosaur groaned before gasping and pretending to be dead as he led his head on the log, closed his eyes and had his tongue out. The lemurs was shocked by this, but Suri can tell he wasn’t really dead. “Aladar, you’re not dead.” Aladar suddenly shot up while saying, “No!” The lemurs screamed before laughing as Aladar laughed as well. “All right, guys, break it up,” said the grown female lemur while crawling towards them and holding some flowers. She looked at the Equestrians and said, “Sorry about them. They sometimes to play like this.” “It’s okay. We just thought he was trying to eat them,” said Twilight while scratching the back of her head. “Eat them? Nah, hair balls are not my type,” said Aladar. “Don’t worry, Aladar doesn’t eat anything meat.” “Aladar? Is that his name?” Rarity asked. “Yes, he’s my son. And I’m Plio, and that there is my daughter Suri.” “Hi,” said Suri while waving at the Equestrians. “Well, nice to meet you all. I’m Twilight. And these are my friends and family. Spike, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Capper, Sunburst, Shining Armor, Cadence, Flurry Heart, Oliver and Amore.” “I’m Sunny, and this is Hitch, Sparky, Izzy, Zipp, Pipp and Misty.” “And I’m Sandbar, and this is Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus, Silverstream and Lightning Twister.” “Nice to meet you all,” said Plio kindly. “I haven’t seen anything like you guys before. You’re from around here?” Suri asked. “Yep. Somewhere far away from here,” answered Twilight. “Are we?” Pinkie asked before getting a stern glare from Shining which made her realise what she meant by that. “Like how far away?” Suri asked. “Okay, Suri, no more questions. Remember the courtship? You gonna miss seeing all that smooching.” Suri and the two lemurs groaned as she then said, “Oh, Mom.” “That’s okay, Plio. We can smooth right here.” Aladar started kissing playfully making Suri and the two lemurs screech and leap away. That made Smolder snicker. “It’s a shame you don’t like kids,” said Plio. “Nasty little vermin,” said Aladar. “Aw, come on, Aladar. Having kids aren’t so bad, as long you know how to embarrass them,” said Cadence before grinning playfully at her daughter, pulling her towards her and nuzzled her on the cheek. Flurry pushed herself away from the nuzzling while saying, “Mama!” She started blushing while looking away embarrassed. “Ha-ha. Aladar, go find Zini. He’s rehearsing some pickup lines. Let’s hope he’s found some new material,” said Plio before leaping off. Aladar got back up as Ocellus asked, “Hey, mind if we tag along?” “Sure,” said Aladar politely, “I don’t mind you coming along.” “Momma, can I go with Aladar to find Zini, please?” Lightning asked. Fluttershy giggled before answering, “Of course you can, baby. Just stay close to him and listen to him.” Lightning nodded his head. “You children go along with Aladar, we’ll go with Plio,” said Shining which made Flurry smile with joy, knowing her father was letting her go with Aladar with no overprotective problems. “And we’ll come along with Aladar too,” said Sunny. “No problem. Follow me.” Aladar headed off with the mane six, Flurry, Spike, Sparky and the young seven following him as the adults went off to catch up with Plio. While Plio was leaping from branch to branch, the Equestria adults caught up with her as Applejack asked, “So since Aladar is your son, how did you find him?” “Yeah, it’s not you just saw his egg from a nest and decide to steal it so you can raise him as your child,” said Pinkie. “Well, I didn’t find his egg from any nest. His egg just fell into our home. And my dad did try to get rid of him, thinking he was a monster.” “He did?” Shining asked in surprised, “But what made him change his mind in the end?” “Well,” Plio began, “It all started years ago, when a storm was trying to start…” Many years ago… A bunch of lemurs were chittering and hiding amongst the trees as thunder started to clap. (https://youtu.be/Y6sm0ZJYhDc?si=ZQTiYFo-ALUXNyCo) The reason being is because they saw a strange rock, which is actually an egg, landed on a branch of a tree. Plio, along with a young light brown and white lemur named Zini and an old brown white lemur named Yar, slowly approached towards the leaves of the tree as she slowly moved one leave piece down to get a clear view of the mysterious rock. “Yar, what is it?” Zini asked quietly. “I don’t know,” answered Yar as Plio headed towards it while Yar stopped Zini from following, “Plio, get back here! We don’t know what it is!” Pilo ignored her father and continued to approach the rock. “Plio, be careful,” whispered Zini. Plio looked up before looking back at the rock and slowly approached the rock as Yar, Zini and the other lemurs watched. Another thunder clapped as Plio got closer to the rock and started sniffing it. Suddenly, the rock moved and cracked, making Plio gasp. The pieces moved back together. Yar and Zini looked at each other before looking back at Plio as she got closer to the rock as another thunder clapped. Plio slowly moved the pieces up so she can look inside, and what she saw inside made her go into shock. “Dad, get over here.” Yar slowly made his way out of the leaves and was about to approach her daughter when Zini went under him to go before him, but he pulled him back by pulling his tail. “Zini, it’s not safe.” “Oh, I always have to go when stuff’s happening,” said Zini in annoyance before going away. Yar began to make his way to Plio as she was taking something from inside the rock. “Well, what is it?” Yar asked in fear. “It was an egg. Look,” answered Plio as she showed the baby Iguanodon sleeping in her arms. Yar gasped which made Plio asked in annoyance, “What?” “It’s a cold-blooded monster from across the sea. Vicious, flesh-eating.” The baby let out a “blech” which made Yar let out a “eew” as Plio said, “Looks like a baby to me.” “Babies grow up. You keep that thing, one day, we’ll turn our backs…It’ll be picking us out of its teeth.” Yar noticed the other lemurs behind him as he turned to them and said, “Things like that eat things like us as snacks!” All the lemurs gasped as they yelped away. “So, what do we do?” “Get rid of it!” Plio cradled the baby close to her, refusing to get rid of a young and defenceless baby. Yar turned and crawled away as Plio asked, “What has gotten into you?” Yar stopped before saying, “Plio, that thing is dangerous!” Plio sighed before saying, “I’m sorry, little one.” She then decided if Yar wants to get rid of the baby, he should do it. “Okay, get rid of it.” She hands over the baby to Yar as he gasped while holding it. Plio huffed before crawling away. “All right. I will,” said Yar. Plio sat as she and the other lemurs watched Yar hold the baby in mid-air and ready to throw it down to the ground. He muttered and then indistinct as he saw how far the ground was from the tree. He continues to mutter as he then pulls the baby towards his face. “You’d better hurry up, Dad. It looks hungry,” joked Plio. Yar huffed before turning back to the baby as it started to open its eyes and gurgled. Yar stammered as he was starting to find the “monster” cute before trying to remember what it was to him. The baby yawned before gurgling again and looking at Yar. Yar groaned before hearing the baby urinate and continuing to gurgle. Yar grunts while looking at what the baby just did as Plio went back to them. Yar decided to give up and just let Plio keep the baby. “Here.” Yar hands the baby back to Plio as she takes it as Yar grunted again. Plio nuzzled her father while cradling the baby in her arms and saying, “It’s okay. We’ll teach him to hate meat.” “Hmph,” said Yar as Plio took the baby back to where she find it so she can continue to hold it while the other lemurs came over to meet the baby. “Watch his head,” said Yar worriedly, making Plio and the lemurs look at him in surprise, like he changed his mind about the baby. Yar knew what they were thinking and said, “I-I mean, watch it, he could bite.” Yar crawled away as Zini went under him and went over to the baby. Zini looked in the baby’s mouth to check for teeth before saying, “This monster’s got no teeth. What’s he gonna do? Gum us to death?” “Zini, come on. Look at that sweet little face,” said Plio, “Does that look like a monster to you?” “And after that, he started to like having him as part of the family.” “Wow. It’s almost like how Lightning became my son, only different to how you took Aladar in,” said Fluttershy. “By the way, you said Zini was rehearsing some pickup lines. What for?” Sunset asked. “Well, every year, a girl picks a boy to become their mate,” answered Plio, “Zini, however, still hasn’t been picked by a girl just yet. He’s been trying every year, but no luck.” “Almost sounds like Rarity since she still hasn’t found a perfect stallion yet,” said Rainbow, earning an angry slap on the back of the head by Rarity. “Ow!” “Well, let’s hope he’s lucky this year then. It seems to me that he really wants a girl to be his bride,” said Shining. “Tell me about it. He’s been practicing lines every year. Let’s hope he thought of a good one this year,” said Plio. Zini, who was now a young adult lemur, was standing on a pile of rocks practicing some lines as Plio said he would be doing. “Hey, sweetie, if you’ll be my bride, I’ll groom ya. That is good. Oh, that’s good.” Aladar and the children found Zini as Aladar shook his head after hearing him say the line he just said was good. “Is that Zini?” Pipp asked. “Yep. Young lemur with no girl in his life yet,” said Aladar. “Is that why he’s still attending the mating ritual you told us about?” Gallus asked. “Yes. But sadly, no luck so far.” Aladar chuckled before saying, “And seeing him practicing lines can be weird to listen to, especially when trying to say them to the girls.” “Girls, I’m known as the “professor of love,” and school’s in session.” Zini wheeze laughed, “Yeah, I still got it.” Zini exhales before hearing Aladar say, “I hope it’s not contagious.” “I’m a raging epidemic of romance,” said Zini while sorting out his fur before seeing the children next to Aladar, “Oh, hello there. Who are you?” “Oh, these are some new friends me, Suri and Plio met. This is Sandbar, Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus, Silverstream, Lightning Twister, Spike, Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, Zipp, Pipp, Misty, Sparky and Flurry Heart.” “Hi,” said Flurry Heart. “Wow. And a few girls before tonight’s ritual,” said Zini as he leaped off the rock pile and landed near Smolder as he hold her hand and said, “And I think this one would make a great girl for me.” Smolder was so not liking what he was doing. “Okay, first of all, ew!” Smolder pulled her hand out of Zini’s hands and said, “And secondly, I’m already taken.” She pointed at Lightning, showing Zini that she was his girl, as he felt embarrass after making that move towards a girl that was taken. Aladar chuckled before saying, “Come on, hot stuff. Let’s get goin’.” Aladar walked off with Zini leaping onto Aladar’s head as the children followed behind the dinosaur, “You don’t wanna miss Yar’s annual pep talk.” “Oh, goody. I can’t wait to hear the mating advice of an old monkey.” “Hey-Hey-Hey, I heard that in his day, that old monkey was quite a swinger.” “Was he?” Flurry asked in confusion. “You talkin’ about Yar?” Zini asked. “Yeah, to hear him tell it, he put the “prime” in “primate.”” “Really?” “Feels like this is gonna be long night for us since we may be attending to see which boy gets a girl,” said Sandbar. “Yona love to attend mating ritual! But Yona still got Sandbar as boyfriend.” Yona pulled Sandbar into a tight hug as he blushed while being almost buried into the yak’s fur. This made the two dragons, the mane six and the rest of the children snicker. //-------------------------------------------------------// III //-------------------------------------------------------// III It was now evening, and it was time for the mating ritual for all the male and female lemurs. Plio allowed the Equestrians to come and show them how their ritual works. She talked to her father about it first, and he slowly allowed it, even though it took a long talk for him to understand the Equestrians aren’t monsters and won’t do anything to harm them. The Equestrians stayed with Suri and Plio, who was with the female lemurs handing them each a pink flower for when they’ve found the perfect boy for them, as they sat by the biggest tree of the lemur forest. “Oh this is so exciting! Are you guys feeling excited?! I’ve never been so excited!” Pinkie said excitedly. “You kind of were when Celestia came to Ponyville before Nightmare Moon returned, remember?” Applejack asked. “Well yeah, but that was because Twilight came to Ponyville to help out and became our friend and I threw a ‘Welcome to Ponyville’ party where she didn’t seem so pleased since she said libraries are suppose to be quiet and I was like…” Pinkie was cut off by Rainbow saying, “Okay, Okay, Pinkie, we get it. You don’t need to say the whole thing without taking a breath.” “Okie dokie!” “Do you think Aladar and the others have found Zini yet?” Sunburst asked, “Feel like he’s gonna miss out if he is taking part of the ritual.” “Oh don’t worry, brother,” said Sunset while gently patting Sunburst on the back, “I’m sure they’ve found him already and are on their way.” She then looks at the distance to where Yar was having his talk with the male lemurs, “Though, I think Zini’s gonna miss out on what Yar has to say to the boys.” In the bushes of the trees, the male lemurs were leaping and sitting around Yar as he was about to help them how to find the right girl. (https://youtu.be/HLj0rqqnY1E?si=p-b6tCBk1Pv4CxbS) “Okay, boys, gather ‘round. Listen and learn from the master,” said Yar. “Now, girls, don’t jump into the trees after the first boy with a cute back flip,” instructed Plio, “It’s more fun if you keep them guessing.” “And if a cute back clip doesn’t work, guess.” “You’re never going to forget this day, so make it one to remember.” “But if you mess up, don’t worry. They’ll never remember.” Yar and the male lemurs heard Aladar’s voice as they saw him walking by with Zini on his back and the young seven, Spike, Flurry, the mane six and Sparky walking with him while Lightning and Sparky sat on Silverstream and Hitch’s back. “Come on, guys! We don’t wanna let ‘em down!” “Go on, now. Chest up! Chin up!” Yar said cheerfully as the male lemurs all cheered while leaping off the tree and onto Aladar’s back. Aladar managed to catch one lemur with his mouth before throwing him onto his back. “Make ‘em look good, son,” said Yar. “Come on, Yar. My charm and your brains? No problem,” said Aladar as Yar laughed while watching them go. Cadence can tell that her daughter, the dragons, ponies, creatures, Aladar, Zini and the male lemurs are on their way. “Oh, I think that’s them,” she said happily. “Best let them get on with it,” said Plio before they all moved away for the male and female lemurs to do their ritual. Aladar, along with the children, came out of the trees as Aladar bellowed and heading towards the tree to show the boys to the ladies. “Ha-ha!” Aladar bellowed again before saying, “Hey, girls, look what just pulled into town. Your buffet table of love.” He walked sideways to show the males. The girls giggled at Aladar’s joke as Zini jumped while shouting, “Right here! Right here! Hey, free samples! Get me while I’m hot! Whoa!” Zini jumped too far and almost fell off Aladar, but managed to grab his tail before laughing sheepishly. “Zini,” giggled Suri before following her mother and the Equestrian adults. Zini and the male lemurs all jumped off Aladar and into the tree bushes as Aladar laid down on a log with the children joining the adults and Yar, Plio and Suri sat near Aladar. Suri started whooping as Zini let out a “Yah-hoo!” Yar joined Suri with the chittering just before Aladar let out a bellow which made Rarity cover her eyes. “Ah! Really, Aladar? Did you have to bellow that loud?” Rarity asked in annoyance. “Sorry. Just tagging along.” Aladar chuckled. Zini was getting too excited that he was bouncing so hard on the branch he was on. He then fell off and landed head first in a bush and got stuck. He muttered as Suri and Flurry giggled. The male lemurs made a big leap to the vines and started to swing on them. Zini was struggling to get out from the bush. “You’re missin’ all the action, pal. Come on,” said Aladar as he grabbed the branch, Zini was on in the bush, with his mouth and ran towards the big tree. “Hey, haven’t you heard? I am the action!” Zini said before Aladar tossed him towards the vine. Zini grabbed the vine and swung chaotically that he got himself all tangled up. The girls watched the boys swinging from one vine to another. They giggled before holding their flowers in their mouths and started climbing on a vine. Zini saw they were ready to start swinging and find the right lemur for each other as he tried to face the girls. The girls made the first move and jumped to a different vine. The boys did the same after. Zini tried to jump to another vine, but his foot was still tangled up. The boys and girls were swung back on the vine while looking at each other before jumping to the same vine, one girl and one boy to another. One boy and one girl lemur jumped from different vines at each other, another pair twisted around on two vines before jumping to another and another pair were swinging by each other. Zini was trying to get his foot untangled so he can join in the action. The boys and girls leaped to another vine and they each other found themselves the perfect match. A female lemur gave her chosen boy her flower before they climbed to the top of the tree along with the others. Zini finally got his foot out and tried to see if there were other girls still. But there wasn’t. He watched them all climb up with their chosen boys before getting all sad as he was still the one lemur with no girl. Aladar watched the couples climb up to the top of the tree as they watched the sunset. After a few seconds of watching, Aladar was about to walk back to the others until he saw Zini sadly hanging on a vine all by himself. He can tell he was left out again with no girl wanting him. He sighed before walking over to the disappointed lemur before saying, “Ah, don’t worry, Zini. You always have next year.” “Hey, I’m lucky to be rid of them. With the ladies, before you know it, they all wanna move to a bigger tree,” said Zini as he climbed onto Aladar’s snort. “Hmm.” Yar can see Zini was still the one bachelor like the previous rituals. “Oh, well. Poor Zini. The clan still has one bachelor.” Plio watched Aladar take Zini away from the tree and realised that Zini wasn’t just the one bachelor. It was Aladar who was a bachelor as well. “No, we have two.” Plio leaped towards her adopted dinosaur son. “Wait, Aladar doesn’t have a girlfriend either? No wonder I can see only one din…” Twilight quickly covered Pinkie’s mouth before she could say the word “dinosaur” out loud. She looked at the purple Alicorn as she moved her hoof away before the pink pony asked, “Twilight, what’s wrong with you?” “Plio said that Yar said Aladar was a monster when he was hatched. So they don’t know that Aladar is a…D word, and neither does Aladar,” said Twilight, “So, like Flurry asked earlier today, we’re not gonna say that word, not to anyone. Not to those that sees Aladar as a monster or to those that are related to Aladar’s kind. Capiche? Saying that word can destroy the movie history of this film.” “I’m with Twily on this. If we’re not allowed to tell them we’re from the real world, names of those that aren’t in their respective universe or say what they’re really are, then we best stick to those rules at all cost,” said Shining. “What are you guys talking about?” Suri asked after jumping over to the Equestrians. “Nothing. Just private stuff, you wouldn’t understand,” lied Capper. Suri stared confusedly at her new friends, she couldn’t tell if they were hiding something from her or telling her the truth. But she just shrugged and leaped back to Yar while saying, “Whatever.” Aladar led down on the grass to let Zini off his snort. The male lemur leaped away just as Plio came to Aladar and said, “Well, it’s never really been his best event.” Aladar chuckled before saying, “He’s got a tougher hide than mine.” “Oh, Aladar, if only there was someone on the island for you. Well, you know, who looks like you, but prettier.” “Come on, Plio. What more could I want?” “Glad you stopped me from saying that word, because now I see your point,” said Pinkie. Zipp excitedly took out her phone while saying, “Oh boy, I so got to ask about their ritual and get some…” Zipp was interrupted by Pipp moving her sister’s phone down while saying, “Oh no, you don’t! You’re not taking that phone out!” “Why not?” “Because, Zipp, we’re not in the year, in this film, where our stuff hasn’t been made yet. If you showed them your phone, they’ll get all confuse and will definitely mess up this timeline and the film as well.” “She’s got you there, Zipp,” said Rainbow. “Oh come on, a little Q&A wouldn’t hurt and…” Zipp was stopped by Pipp giving her stern glare. She can tell she was serious and she knew she can’t get them to let her do it. She let out a sigh before putting her phone away. Pipp smiled and said, “That’s better.” Sandbar suddenly saw something up in the sky. “Hey, what’s that up there?” Sandbar asked while pointing up. The Equestrians looked up and saw what Sandbar was pointing at. Aladar noticed something in the sky as he looked up before Plio, Yar, Suri and the other lemurs saw it too. Up in the sky were four shooting objects flying down. (https://youtu.be/-TZuciRSgrY?si=GVfPFjpsg52Vw8VI) “Whoa!” Aladar said in surprised. He got up and walked over to the tree to get a closer as Plio watched the objects fall from where she’s standing. Suri wanted to get a closer look too as she leaped over to Aladar and went onto his head to look at the mysterious falling objects. “What are they?” Suri asked. “I don’t know,” answered Aladar. Suri climbed to the top of the tree as she and other lemurs saw more objects falling from the sky. Aladar took a few steps forward and saw there was lot more falling into the behind of the lake. While the lemurs were watching, Zini appeared from behind a log and saw the falling objects. He was quite surprised to see what was happening right now. Sparky walked over to Aladar’s side and watched the objects falling. He started to see what they were and started to get scared. The baby dragon quickly ran over to Hitch and jumped into his left hoof while hugging Hitch’s chest as she started to whimper and then said, “Papa!” “It’s okay, Sparky. There’s nothing to be worried or scared of,” said Hitch softly. But then, he saw the objects more clearly and started to understand why Sparky is starting to get scared, but also feel something’s not right, “On second thought, Sparky might be onto something.” “Yeah, I think so, too,” said Sunny. Lightning started to shake in fear as Silverstream gently picked him up and held him in her right talon arm and allowing him to hug her chest fur. Plio leaped to her father’s side before seeing birds flying away while squawking in fear. Yar started to sniff something as Plio went over to him. “Dad?” Yar did one more sniff before saying to her daughter, “Something’s wrong.” “Daddy, I’m getting scared,” said Flurry in fear. “It’s okay, sweetheart, Daddy’s got you,” said Shining softly as he let his daughter hug his hoof. Plio started to get more worried, not about the falling objects, but also her family. She leaped over to Aladar while asking, “Aladar, where’s Suri?” “She’s up in the tree,” answered Aladar before hearing a low rumble and saw something in the sky that was even more shocking. Plio, Yar and everyone else looked up and were in complete shock to what they were seeing now. A large meteor was falling from the sky as it hit the ground, making a bright light shone. It faded away, showing a big smoke rising from the hit. Everyone looked at where it landed as that hit made a few waves flow on the river. Suddenly, a big Earthquake shook the island, making the lemurs loose balance a bit as they gasped. Another Earthquake made Yar and Plio fall on their backs. “It’s an Earthquake!” Izzy shouted in fear. “Worse! It’s an Earthquake, and a meteor shower!” Ocellus shouted. Plio helped her father up while shouting, “Come on! Go! Go! Come on!” Just as Yar was making his quick leave, Plio heard her daughter’s voice. “Mom!” “Suri!” Plio said in shock. “The tree!” Yona shouted while pointing at the big tree. “Mom! Mom!” “Suri!” Aladar said in shock. “Mom!” Suri cried again as Plio made her way towards the tree. “Suri, where are you?” Aladar called out. Plio quickly climbed to the top of the tree and grabbed her daughter before jumping through the leaves and onto Aladar’s head. “Run, Aladar! Run! Run!” Plio said. Aladar wasted no time and ran off like Plio told him to. Silverstream, Hitch and Shining quickly placed Lightning, Sparky and Flurry on their backs as they and the rest of Equestrians ran off as well, but Pinkie remained sat and watched the shower in sadness while saying, “Aww…and just when we were just having fun today.” “This isn’t the time for your sad moments! Move it!” Rainbow shouted while flying towards Pinkie and pulled her along as they ran off. The meteors were hitting the ground one by one and destroying the lake while a big red smoke was heading towards the island. The lemurs were making their escape with Aladar running as fast as he can, with Plio and Suri on his back, while gasping. The Equestrians were following behind him as the meteors began to hit the island. “Watch out!” Capper shouted as a meteor nearly hit them. Yar was trying to get away, but he tripped over. Aladar quickly grabbed him with his mouth and threw him onto his back while continuing to run and saying, “Yar, come on!” Zini was leaping on a log as fast as he could. He saw Aladar running past, with his family on his back. “Zini, jump! Jump!” Plio shouted with Aladar also shouting, “Zini, jump!” Zini panted while leaping as he made a big jump towards the running dinosaur. Plio managed to grab Zini’s hand. “Hold on!” She shouted while pulling her brother up. The meteors and bad clouds were moving in closer and closer as it began to destroy the island. While running, one meteor hit behind Aladar, making him fall forwards and slid on the ground. “Aladar!” Flurry cried. “I’m okay, Flurry!” Aladar said while quickly getting up and continue to run. The clouds were still coming in closer to the island. Aladar and the Equestrians as two meteors hit on two sides of them. The dinosaur and the Equestrians were all gasping and grunting as they continue to run as fast as they can. But the more they ran, the closer the cloud is getting with more meteors coming. Three meteors hit behind them. “I so hate epic adventures!” Rarity shouted. “Not now, Rarity! Just run!” Pipp shouted. Suddenly, they all came to a stop as they were now at the edge of a cliff of the island, and below the cliff, was a huge river with changes of rocks at the bottom. They all looked down as the cloud was drawing in with meteors destroying the big tree. They looked back as Aladar gasped, seeing the big cloud coming in closer and closer with more meteors shooting out of it. “I say we jump!” Flurry suggested in fear. “When?!” Hitch asked. “Now!” Oliver said. They all jumped off the cliff and fell down to the river while yelling as the cloud and meteors destroyed the cliff and made the lemurs fall off Aladar’s back. They fell into the river as Aladar managed to get a hold of himself and swim back up. He fall back underneath the river before getting back up and started coughing after being underneath the river. The Equestrians managed to get up while coughing out the water. Yona was struggling to stay up since Yaks can’t swim as Sandbar and Ocellus helped her by staying underneath her legs. Lightning was the last one to rise up as he coughed, but he couldn’t swim and it was making him scared even more. “Momma!” He cried. Fluttershy saw her son was unable to swim on his own. She quickly swam towards him, quickly grabbed hold of him and held him close to her. “Shh…Momma’s here. Momma’s got you,” she cooed softly. Aladar looked around to find his family, but couldn’t see them anywhere. “Plio! Yar! Where are you?” He called before coughing again. He heard Plio’s voice from the distance, “Aladar, over here!” Aladar saw Plio, Yar, Zini and Suri holding onto a broken tree that was swimming away. Aladar watched in shock before swimming off to save them as a big wave was made from the big meteor shower. After a few minutes later, the shower was finally over as the waves were flowing calming at an empty island that was far away from the one Aladar and everyone else was on. Speaking of Aladar, he had managed to save his family and made it out of the river as he breathed heavily while the Equestrians came out of the river too as they breathed heavily too. Aladar laid on the ground to rest after all of that running and swimming. Yar was coughing so badly as Plio helped him off Aladar and allowed him to cough till he got his breath back in shape. The Equestrians were coughing and drying the water from their manes, furs and wings as Fluttershy was gently patting Lightning’s back to help him cough better, Hitch was comforting Sparky and Shining was making sure his daughter was okay. “Flurry, are you okay?” Flurry coughed before answering, “I don’t know. I think I hit one of my wings on the rocks.” “Let me check,” said Shining softly as Flurry opened her wings so Shining can check to see if they were okay. “Hate…epic…adventures…so…MUCH!” Rarity shouted dramatically while lying on her back. “Oh stop being such a drama queen and just be happy that we’re out and still alive,” said Zipp crossly. Rarity gave Zipp a stern glare while saying, “Oh, how charming for you to say that, darling. Especially since we almost died!” “But we survived and got off the island just in time!” “And how do you know we were on an island this whole time? Hmm?” “The river that was around the forest. Not to mention we saw the river when we were finding Zini!” “Well pardon me for not noticing that since we weren’t with you at that time!” “Stop it already, you two!” Sunny shouted crossly, “Arguing isn’t going to fix or solve anything! Yes, we almost died, but we made it out alive! So just stop judging each other’s moments and words, and start being grateful we made it out so far!” Rarity and Zipp looked at Sunny before looking at each other. They knew she was right. Arguing, after surviving wasn’t gonna fix the issue they were in. As Aladar’s eyes started to come clear from having water in them, he shockingly saw broken twigs and branches that had fire on some of them. The meteor must have hit them during the shower, but didn’t manage to destroy the whole land. Aladar looked behind him and saw the island, that they called home, was now destroyed by the meteor shower. The Equestrians saw the destroyed island and gasped in shock and surprised. Aladar looked down in sadness as his home was gone. The lemurs were sad about their home too as Suri leaped towards the river to see if anyone was alive and made it out. She chittered as loud as she can, but no one responded. She chittered again as Aladar bellowed to see if that will get a response. But sadly, still no response. The other lemurs were all gone, thanks to the shower. Suri was hugging her leg as Plio, Yar and Zini came over to her. “I feel bad. I feel bad,” whispered Suri as she was about to cry. She then hugged her mother and cried into her chest. Plio hugged her daughter while saying, “Oh, Suri. Easy, easy.” The poor young lemur cried before saying, “They’re all gone.” “Shh, shh. I’m here,” said Plio softly as Suri whimpered. The Equestrians felt bad for Aladar and his family as Twilight comfort Spike, Sandbar comfort Yona, Zipp and Pipp comfort Misty, Hitch comfort Sparky, Fluttershy comfort Lightning and Cadence comfort Flurry. “They’ve lost their only home,” said Lightning sadly. “Shhh…I know, baby. I know,” said Fluttershy softly but sadly. “They didn’t deserve to lose it. It’s not right,” said Spike sadly. “No, they didn’t. You’re right, Spike,” said Twilight. Misty wiped the last tears from her eyes before asking, “What do we do now?” “Come on. We can’t stay here,” said Aladar to his family. Plio, Yar, Zini and Suri looked at Aladar and knew he was right. He can’t stay there and continue to watch their destroyed home or live on a destroyed and burnt twigs and branches. Aladar let them climb onto his back as he looked at island one last time. He looked at the Equestrians before asking kindly, “You guys wanna come?” “Sure. We have no else to go anyway. It’s best we stick together,” answered Twilight as Aladar gave her a nod. Fluttershy, Hitch and Shining placed Lightning, Sparky and Flurry onto their faces as they hugged their parents’ necks. They watched a flock of birds cawing and flying away before Aladar began to walk away from what was left from the shower, with the Equestrians following behind, as they journey across the empty land to find a new home, even though Aladar and his family are all that’s left. //-------------------------------------------------------// IV //-------------------------------------------------------// IV It’s been a day or so as Aladar, his family on his back still and the Equestrians continued their journey around the rocky desert in the Badlands, until the ponies and creatures were heavily exhausted and panting for air. Yona wasn’t enjoying this so much as she was walking underneath Aladar to keep away from the sun and heat since Yaks don’t walk in the heat. Capper had his jacket off and was holding it over his left shoulder as he walked next to Fluttershy with Pipp walking the other side of her while Lightning rode on Applejack’s back since she was a strong mare. “You... doin’ alright back there... sugarcube?” Applejack asked. “I’m tired, Auntie Applejack...” Lightning said while perishing underneath the sun, until he yawned. “Rest your eyes for a little while. We’ll wake ya when we find somewhere to rest for a bit,” Applejack said, and then Lightning fell asleep on her back as her soft fur kept him cozy. “Thank you... for being... careful with him,” Fluttershy said. “Anytime, Fluttershy... Anytime,” Applejack said while wiping a few sweats from her forehead. Spike was riding on Twilight’s back as he couldn’t continue walking or flying for any longer, Flurry was riding on her father’s back as he was a strong stallion, Sparky was still riding on Hitch’s back and Ocellus was riding on Amore’s back. Sunset was panting heavily from all the walking as she said, “Walking…for miles…with no shelter, no water, no food, no nothing. This could be…a long journey…that I’m so…gonna hate.” “Yeah, this is one journey I hope to forget,” said Starlight. Smolder was flying next to Lightning while panting as she felt her stomach rumbling and growling. She was hungry and she was getting annoyed that her stomach was growling a third time in a row. “All right, when we get home, no one stop me from eating all the food until my belly is the size of a barn,” she said crossly. Pinkie panted before angrily saying, “Stop saying food! Because, of right now, I’m getting so hungry! And thinking about food makes me even more hungry! Why did we come here without food?! Why didn’t we pack any food?! Why didn’t you tell us to pack some food, Twilight?!” “Don’t have a go at me, Pinkie, you’re the one who got us here in the first place,” said Twilight crossly, “I’m not a pony version of Madame Web! I can’t see the future and saw you pulling that lever and have us sent back into the big screen. And if we were planning on going back for a good reason, I would have suggested we bring food with us. But we didn’t have a reason, and now we’re here. So don’t blame me, blame yourself.” “Twilight…!” “No, Pinkie, she’s right,” said Applejack, “Bad enough that we were all blaming each other after Chrysalis’s clones nearly made us hate each other and destroyed our friendship, but even now as you let your anger get a hold of you due to no food in your stomach, you took it out on Twilight like it’s her fault this has happened. It shows that…” “Oh, go on. Shows what?” “That you have no right to blame your friends over something like we know this was gonna happen.” “Not only that, but pulling that lever again could have done something than just send us here. Like, opening a portal to let one of the villains, like Chrysalis or the Warlocks, out,” said Oliver. “Would be difficult to let something like that happen,” said Pinkie. “That doesn’t matter! The fact is if we do something to damage the movie history and even Equestria, Cosmos is gonna know this, and Cosmos isn’t going to be happy!” Oliver said. “Yeah, you really shouldn’t have pulled that lever again, Pinkie. Especially since Flurry didn’t need to be shown what not to do,” said Twilight with Spike nodding in agreement. “Well how was I supposed to know she knows not to pull the lever?!” “I don’t know, Pinkie. The fact her sixth birthday was two months ago?!” Shining said angrily, which made Pinkie remember she helped throw Flurry a birthday party for her during that month. “Ah,” said Pinkie after remembering Flurry’s sixth birthday. “Yeah, good job remembering now, Pinkie,” said Rarity crossly, “Now we’re stuck here, till we reach the end, with no food, no water and no place to rest. And worst of all, there’s no telling what’s out here!” “Hey, hey, hey, can we not say stuff like that please?” Hitch asked, “Sparky’s already getting scared as he was during that shower.” Sparky was whimpering in fear while hugging Hitch’s mane. Hitch gently rubbed his baby dragon’s head while softly saying, “It’s okay, buddy. Nothing bad’s gonna happen to you. I’ve got you.” “Yeah, I’m with Hitch on that,” said Sunset, “Plus I think Suri is getting scared too.” They all looked at Aladar and saw Sunset was right about Suri as she was crying in fear. Yar noticed this and gently patted his granddaughter’s shoulder while softly saying, “Now, now, Suri. There’s nothing to be afraid of.” “Yeah, apart from getting lost in a desert and no signs of a new home appearing,” said Rainbow. “Rainbow!” Twilight said crossly. “What? I’m just saying.” Zini suddenly saw something up ahead. “Look!” He said while looking over Yar’s shoulder, making the old lemur cry out. “Whoa!” Aladar saw it too as it ran off into the distance. “Did you see that?” Aladar asked before going up to try and find it. “What?” Yar and Zipp asked in confusion. “I did,” said Zini. “Me too,” said Suri. “I saw it as well,” said Gallus. Aladar, the lemurs and the Equestrians tried to find it, but couldn’t see it anywhere. “Where did it go?” Plio asked. “I don’t know. Let’s go see,” suggested Aladar. “Yeah, maybe it can help us,” said Sunny. “Good idea, Sunny,” said Hitch. “Leave it alone,” said Yar before getting slapped, “Hey!” “Shh, Dad,” said Plio. “It’s scaring Suri.” “No, it’s not.” “Everyone just be quiet,” said Aladar as he and the Equestrians went to find what they just saw. “Okay, Aladar, we’ll be very quiet,” said Izzy. They looked around until they chittering. Flurry saw where the chittering was coming from and asked quietly, “Hey, is that what we just saw?” Everyone turned and saw what Flurry was on about. There they saw a raptor squawking and chittering while cleaning its foot. After snorting, it spotted Aladar, the lemurs and the Equestrians. It growled at them as another raptor appeared. Suddenly, they saw three more appear. Then, they all saw more raptors appearing from all around them. “This doesn’t look good,” said Misty worriedly. “Nope, it doesn’t,” said Amore. Suddenly, a raptor landed near Aladar, making him gasp in surprise. The raptor looked at them before roaring at them, making Aladar gasp again with the lemurs and the Equestria children screaming. Lightning got very scared that he quickly jumped from Applejack’s back and onto his mother’s back while hiding underneath her mane. The raptors started to growl and screech as they approached Aladar and the Equestrians, making them back up towards a rock wall, trapping them so they can enjoy their biggest meal yet. “What now?” Zipp asked worriedly. A raptor jumped towards Aladar, but he moved his leg, making it bump into a rock. He then quickly ran off as another raptor tried to bite him. “Run!” Aladar shouted. “You heard him! Run!” Starlight shouted as she ran off with the others catching up. Aladar and the Equestrians ran over a rocky path as the raptors were chasing after them. Sandbar, however, managed to trip over before getting surrounded by a few raptors that decided to eat him before going after the others. Sandbar gasped in fear as he shook in fear while backing up a bit. While running, Yona saw her boyfriend was in trouble. She gasped before running back to save him. Yona made a big jump and landed in front of Sandbar before growling at the raptors as she was ready to fight and protect her pony boyfriend. But the raptors wasn’t afraid of her as they continued to approach them. “There’s too many of them, Yona. We’ll never get past them,” said Sandbar as he hid behind the Yak. Yona can tell he was right. Even while protecting Sandbar, she can’t keep them all from eating her boyfriend. She knew she no other choice, but to do the one thing that can save him. “Yona hate eat and run, but…” Yona reached over and grabbed Sandbar while pulling him towards her. “Whoa!” Sandbar shouted as Yona shoved his head into her mouth before pushing his body into her mouth next. The raptors took a step back as they watched in surprised. Yona slurped up Sandbar’s tail before gulping him down as he landed into Yona’s belly, making it big. Yona moaned, after swallowing her boyfriend, before making a huge smash onto the ground with her hooves which made the ground shook causing the raptors to collapse to the ground. This gave Yona enough time to run back to the others with her big belly swinging back and forth and bouncing up and down with Sandbar kicking inside. The raptors got back onto their feet and chased after her as she joined back with the others with the raptors joining the rest as the chase continued on. The lemurs were gasping while Aladar and the Equestrians were grunting while running away. One raptor managed to jump onto Aladar’s side and bit him, making him cry out in pain. Another raptor jumped up to try and bite Rainbow, but she dodged it as it fell to the ground. “Ha! Miss me!” “Papa Capper, watch out!” Capper looked behind him and saw a raptor jumping towards him. He jumped to the side as the raptor landed on the ground and tumbled back to the other raptors. “Thanks, son.” A raptor ran up to the other side of Aladar and jumped up to bite Yar, but it missed as Yar lost his balance and was about to fall off Aladar. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!” Yar cried as Zini grabbed Yar’s hand. “Yar, grab on!” Plio shouted while reaching her hand out to her father. “I can’t reach!” Yar said while struggling to grab his daughter’s hand. Aladar and the Equestrians continue to run while panting while Yona was panting the most as Sandbar was kicking inside her belly. She was struggling a bit. “Please, Sandbar. Don’t do this,” she winced through clenched teeth. Another raptor climbed onto Aladar and was about to eat Yar, but he managed to grab Plio’s hand as both her and Zini pulled him back up just before the raptor could get him. The raptor saw something up ahead as it jumped off Aladar and back to the other raptors as they stopped while Aladar and the Equestrians continue to run. “Aladar, they’re stopping!” Plio said. Aladar and the Equestrians saw Plio was right as they stopped while gasping for air and watching the raptors run away. “What do you think made them stop and run off like that?” Silverstream asked. “I don’t know,” said Zipp as she scratched her mane in confusion. Misty looked at where the raptors were looking at, and what she saw made her go into shock as she said, “Uh, guys? We better move.” “Huh? Why?” Izzy asked. But before Misty could answer, Aladar saw what was up ahead as they all heard bellowing echoing from the distance. “Huh?” Was all Aladar could say before he was knocked over, with the lemurs falling off his back, by a dark purple Iguanodon that has a pointed horn shape at the end of his snort. He walked over Aladar while rudely saying, “Stay out of my way!” The lemurs all screeched while leaping away from the Iguanodon. A brown Iguanodon walked past Aladar as he rudely said, “You heard Kron. Move it!” Aladar got back up while watching the two go and gasping, as the lemurs got back onto his back, before seeing a whole bunch of dinosaurs walking past them. “Single file, everycreature!” Twilight shouted as they tried to stay together, but the more dinosaurs come, the more trouble staying together caused. “Single file she said!” Shining shouted. Aladar was surprised by this before seeing little dinosaurs, as the size of a lemur, walking underneath. He looked down and watched them go before accidentally bumping his head into a female Iguanodon’s cheek. “Watch it,” she said before walking off. Aladar watched her go before hearing a bellow of a Pachyrhinosaurus as it pushed Aladar out of its way, making him collapse to the ground. A bunch of Microceratops jumped over Aladar as Yar and Zini watched them go, but they were jumping over by the neck as well which is where the two lemurs were at. “Zini, get your head down,” said Yar as he ducked Zini’s head down. “Papa!” Whimpered Sparky. “It’s going to be okay, Sparky. I got you.” Hitch held his baby dragon to his chest as Sparky hugged his papa’s chest. “Daddy, what’s happening?” Flurry asked in fear. “I don’t know,” said Shining calmly. Aladar watched the Microceratops ran off before hearing loud footsteps and a big bellow coming towards them. The Equestrians gasped in surprise. “Oh…my…hoofness,” said Pipp in complete shock. There they saw an old Styracosaur and a big old Brachiosaur walking slowly towards them. The Brachiosaur bellowed again. Aladar, the lemurs and the Equestrians stayed together as the Brachiosaur walked over them, without stomping on any of them, as they looked underneath the huge dinosaur in surprise. Aladar managed to get back up again as he watched the Brachiosaur walk off. “Now that’s something you don’t see every day,” said Cadence. Just then, they had Styracosaur speaking to them. “Walkin’ backwards, huh? Well, let me know if that gets you there any faster.” She then called out to her Ankylosaur, which is like her dinosaur dog, “Keep those little legs movin’, Url, or you’ll get left behind.” The Styracosaur and her Ankylosaur walked past Aladar, the lemurs and the Equestrians as they all saw it was huge herd of dinosaurs walking together. “Look at all the Aladars,” said Suri as Aladar continue to look in surprise. “Still can’t tell them what they really are?” Pinkie whispered. “No,” whispered Twilight. “If you’re even thinking of joining them…” Yar was cut off by Zini gasping in fear grabbing a hold of Yar as they heard the raptors growling behind them. “Oh, not them again!” Smolder said in annoyance. “Hang on! Hang on!” Aladar said as he ran towards the herd. “Hey, wait for us!” Izzy called as she and the others ran off. The raptors started to chase after them, but they were ready off the hill just before they could get them. They stopped and just watched their meals run off to the herd. One raptor let out a roar in anger as it wasn’t happy that they didn’t even get one meal out of them. Author's Note Please don’t ask me what give me the idea for this chapter. Just don’t. //-------------------------------------------------------// V //-------------------------------------------------------// V The female and the two male Iguanodons were standing on top of a slide of a rocky mountain while the herd of dinosaurs stood at the end of the slide waiting for further instructions from the leader with the old Brachiosaur, Styracosaur and her Ankylosaur standing behind them. (https://youtu.be/CGjJMIuG6Vk?si=Z6vrNqDfZU-gqe5d) Aladar and the lemurs ran through the two old dinosaurs and tried to find the dinosaurs he bumped into with the one that knocked him over. The Equestrians caught up to Aladar as they stood behind the dinosaurs while the young five standing them with Lightning now riding on Silverstream’s back. Yona ran up to her friends and stood next to them. She stared curiously at the other dinosaurs while raising an eyebrow and placing a hoof on her chin. She suddenly felt Sandbar kicking inside her belly, remembering she swallowed her boyfriend to protect him from the raptors. She shockingly looked at her squirming belly, with Sandbar still kicking inside, while hearing him mumbling, “Yona, let me out of here! Please!” Yona knew she needs to let him out, especially since they were now free from the raptors. She patted her stomach while coughing so she can cough him out. After a few hard coughs, Sandbar bursted out from Yona’s mouth and landed on the ground to reveal he was now covered in saliva. Their five friends saw what just happened as they were now in shock after seeing Sandbar flying out from Yona’s mouth which made Silverstream cover the young colt’s eyes with her claw. “Ewww! Gross! Sandbar, have you been inside Yona’s stomach this whole time?” Smolder asked. Sandbar cleaned the saliva off him while saying, “Yeah. I was surrounded by those raptors, and Yona jumped in to save me by swallowing me before running back to you.” “Yona said hate eat and run.” “Eh, no biggie, Yona. Thanks for saving me, though,” said Sandbar while smiling before kissing his girlfriend on the cheek. “So what did I miss?” He then asked. “Not much,” answered Gallus, “Just the raptors stopping and running away after seeing a herd of dinosaurs that Aladar decided to check out, and they also stopped away we ran off to be with the herd like they’re scared of them.” “Herd of dinosaurs?” Sandbar asked confusedly. Yona pointed as Sandbar turned to look at what she was pointing at and saw the herd with Aladar and the lemurs standing in between the old dinosaurs. “Ohhhh!” “And that one up there is most likely their leader and was the one that knocked over Aladar,” said Smolder as she pointed to where Kron was at as Sandbar looked at him. “That one? Well, from the looks of his appearance and his face expression, he does seem like he’s not very nice, even after knocking over Aladar,” said Sandbar. “Yeah, I think so, too,” said Gallus. “I wonder what’s happening now,” said Silverstream while scratching the top of her head. “Best we wait to find out,” said Smolder. Kron was looking at the distance they were heading towards until he heard a male voice speak to him. “Kron.” Kron snorts while looking at the male brown Iguanodon. “There is a more protected spot further down the…” the Iguanodon was interrupted by Kron saying, “We’ll rest here for the night. Go ahead, Burton.” Burton snorted before bellowing to tell the herd to find a spot to rest for the night. The herd did what they are told as they all headed off while going past the two old dinosaurs, as they were walking slow. Aladar and the lemurs watched before seeing the Equestrians going up to him. “Oh, there you all are,” said Aladar in relief. He was about to say something else until he heard a female voice of the old Brachiosaur speaking. “Oh, Eema, I wish we were at your nesting grounds now. All this pushing and shoving about, just for a place to sleep. I’m not used to this kind of behaviour.” “Baylene, you got big feet. Just give ‘em a kick.” An Stygimoloch stood near Eema as she shouted, “Git!” Which made the Stygimoloch buzz off. “Ooh, I couldn’t possibly.” Baylene started to stammer as she looked at the mini dinosaurs below her. “Shoo, shoo.” “Will you come on, Baylene? You wanna get to the nesting grounds alive? Show some backbone.” Aladar appeared near Eema while saying, “Hey, there.” That made Eema scream in surprise. “Oh, sorry about that,” said Aladar as the Equestrians stood behind him while he talked to the old dinosaurs first, “Uh, it’s just, we overheard you talking, and, um…” Aladar saw the Ankylosaur coming up to him with a rock in his mouth. He snuffled while dropping the rock before pushing it close to Aladar and panting happily. Aladar was surprised by this as Eema said, “Well, my word. Look at Url. He doesn’t normally warm up to strangers so fast.” Url continued to pant and bounce around playfully, like a puppy dog would do. Baylene was sniffing the lemurs on Aladar’s back as she then snorted. “What an unfortunate blemish,” she said before Eema said, “Good mud bath’d clear those right up.” “Excuse me?” Yar asked which made Eema shriek in surprise. “Um, he’s my grandfather,” chuckled Aladar, “Couple of times removed.” “Try a couple of species removed,” said Zini. “Uh, my name’s Aladar. This is my family. We’re all that’s left.” Plio hugged her daughter as Baylene started to feel sad after hearing that. “Oh, my dear. I’m so sorry,” she said in a sad tone. “Baylene’s the last of her kind. Finding stragglers like her all along the way,” said Eema. “Aww…that’s so sad. I’m so sorry,” said Fluttershy sadly. Baylene jumped in surprised before saying, “Oh, my. Didn’t know more were with you.” “Oh, sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you like that.” “Oh, it’s quite all right, dear. But, who are you, anyways?” “I’m Fluttershy. These are my friends. Twilight, Spike, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Sunburst and Oliver.” “Hello,” said Oliver politely. “This is my husband, Capper.” “Hi,” said Capper kindly while waving at Baylene. Fluttershy gently picked Lightning and nuzzled his cheek while saying, “And this little sweetheart is my son, Lightning Twister.” Lightning blushed while smiling. “Aw…such a cute child,” said Baylene. “I’m Sandbar, and this is Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream.” “My name’s Sunny. This is Hitch, Izzy, Zipp, Pipp, Misty and Sparky.” Sparky waved at the dinosaurs. “I’m Shining Armor, Twilight’s big brother. This is Amore and my wife and daughter, Cadence and Flurry Heart.” “Hello,” said Flurry politely while waving a hoof at Baylene. She then saw Url walking up to her, with a rock in his mouth. He placed the rock next to Flurry’s hoof and started panting happily at her. Cadence giggled before saying, “I think Url wants to play with you, sweetheart.” Flurry looked at Url, who is still panting happily at her, before looking at Eema and asked, “Is it okay with if I play with him, Eema?” “Of course it is,” answered Eema. Flurry smiled before picking the rock up and said, “Okay, Url. Fetch!” She threw the rock as Url chased after it. The rock landed on the ground. Url grabbed the rock and ran back to the filly. “Are you all’s that left as well?” Baylene asked sadly. “From what we can gather, yeah. We’ve been trying to find more like us, but no sign of any more of us anywhere,” answered Sunburst before secretly winking at his friends, sister, wife, nephew and children. “I heard you say something about nesting grounds?” Plio asked. “It is the most beautiful place there is, child. It’s where the herd goes to have their babies,” explained Eema. Fluttershy gasped happily before saying, “Babies?! The herd is having babies?!” “That’s right. That’s why we’re heading to the nesting grounds, so they can rest their eggs and protect them till the babies hatch from them.” Fluttershy started to get more excited and started thinking what baby dinosaurs will look like when they hatch from their eggs. She loves baby creatures, especially after helping out with the dragon eggs at the Dragon Lands. “Something tells me we’re gonna be this film for quite awhile, even when we reach the end,” whispered Rainbow. “Rainbow, don’t be rude,” said Rarity crossly but quietly. “Will we find anybody that looks like us there?” Suri asked. “Oh, the last few days, I’ve seen ‘em all shapes and sizes,” answered Eema, “Who knows what we’ll find. The hard job now is just getting there.” “And we’re being driven unmercifully,” added Baylene. “By who?” Shining asked. “Kron, the herd’s head honcho,” answered Eema. “Kron? You mean that’s the name of that jerk that knocked Aladar over?” Gallus asked. “If he did and you were in front of him, then yes,” answered Eema. “We cab hardly keep up. An older woman like myself, it’s…Well, it’s positively indecent,” said Baylene. “Then tell him. What’s the worst he can do?” Aladar asked before they all heard growling. “Oh!” Baylene got scared as they saw Kron, Bruton and the female Iguanodon walking towards them. Flurry and Url saw them coming before walking out of the way as Burton snarled at them. Flurry ran underneath her auntie and hugged her hoof. Kron snorted at Aladar as he walked past him. “Hey! What’s his problem?” Aladar asked in annoyance from Kron’s behaviour. Eema walked up to Aladar and quietly said, “That’s him, honey. Kron.” “The one in the middle?” Starlight asked as Eema nodded her head. “Huh.” Aladar walked up to Kron, with the lemurs on his back and the Equestrians following behind him, while saying, “Uh, excuse me! Kron, you got a second?” Kron stopped while snorting and looking at Aladar. “Get lost, kid,” said Bruton rudely which made Aladar stop as the Equestrians stopped as well. “Hmm. Relax, Bruton,” said Kron before approaching Aladar as Bruton snorted. Kron looked at Aladar and asked, “Who are you?” “Uh, Aladar.” “Why aren’t you uphill with the…” Kron suddenly saw the lemurs on Aladar’s back as they waved nervously at him, “uh, young bloods?” He snorted rudely at the lemurs before turning back to Aladar. “Well, I was back here talking to these guys.” Eema gasped as Aladar continued, “I guess they…They’re having a hard time keeping up. So, you know, maybe you could slow it down a bit?” Aladar saw the female Iguanodon who was smiling at him as she chuckled. Kron was about to say something until he saw Twilight and the other Equestrians standing Aladar with Flurry still hiding behind Twilight’s hooves. Kron approached Twilight. Sandbar gulped nervously as Yona held his hoof for comfort. Kron got face to face with Twilight as he said, “And who are you?” “Uh, I’m Twilight. And these are my…” Kron interrupted her by saying, “I don’t wish to not know. What I want to know is, why are you in my herd?!” Lightning got really scared by the tone of Kron’s voice, which reminded him of his father, as he hid underneath her mother’s mane. “Well?” Kron was getting impatient already. “Well, we’re with Aladar. And he does make a good point about them. They are old and having a hard time keeping up with the rest of you. So, slowing down a bit might not hurt just a bit,” said Twilight as Shining nodding his head in agreement. “Hmm. Let the weak set the pace. Now, there’s an idea. Better let me do the thinking for now on, Aladar and Twilight,” said Kron before walking away. “Hey, they need help back here,” said Aladar. Kron stopped before looking at Aladar and said, “Hmm. Watch yourself, boy.” He snarled and continued to walk off. Neera, the female Iguanodon and who was Kron’s sister, looked at Aladar and said, “Don’t worry. That’s how my brother treats newcomers, no matter how charming they are.” She walked off with Kron as Bruton tagged along. “Well, call me a red apple. What a horrid honcho,” said Applejack crossly. “Yeah, not caring about the old women. That is one party pooper!” Pinkie said. “Although, I have to admit, his sister doesn’t seem at all that rude like him,” said Cadence, “She’s like the opposite of what Kron is.” The Equestrians looked at Aladar, who was watching Neera go, as Zini jumped on the back of the Iguanodon’s head and said, “You sure know how to catch a girl’s eye, there, stud.” “I wouldn’t be catchin’ nobody’s eye if I was you, especially Neera’s,” said Eema as she reached on the ground with Aladar and the Equestrians walking back to the old dinosaurs, “You just keep your head down, and you mind what Kron tells you.” “Since when do we take orders from the likes of him?” Yar asked. “Yeah. Ain’t no way I’m taking orders from that jerk, especially if he upsets my boyfriend,” said Smolder crossly as she crossed her arms with black smoke coming out of her nose. Eema chuckled before saying, “Kron has swatted flies bigger than you, pops. And I would go carefully, Smolder. He doesn’t treat well to children.” Smolder scoffed, “Like he can do anything to me.” “And I could hold that monster’s brain in the palm of my…” Aladar stopped Yar by saying, “No, Yar, she’s right. Better to keep our heads down with this bunch than get ‘em bitten off by those things.” Aladar was on about the raptors that were still up the hill. “Well, you just consider yourself lucky that’s all that’s following us,” said Eema as the raptors were fighting with each other like they were arguing about whose fault was it that let their meals get away. The Equestrians watched the raptors fight each other while Lightning, Sparky and Flurry hid their faces in their parents’ chest. “Best we keep an eye out. There’s no telling what else could be out that could start following us,” said Twilight. The other Equestrians nodded their heads at Twilight in agreement. By the time nighttime came, all the dinosaurs, including Aladar, the lemurs, the old dinosaurs, Url and the Equestrians were asleep. Lightning was sleeping with Silverstream, Sandbar was sleeping with Yona and Spike was sleeping with Twilight. The sun was starting to raise. Cadence was still asleep, but suddenly couldn’t feel Flurry underneath her wing. Flurry normally sleeps with her mother, whether being bad dream or struggling to sleep. “Hmm?” Cadence slowly woke up and was about to feel worried about her daughter until she saw her sleeping with Shining as he had his hoof over her. Cadence giggled softly. Just then, the dinosaurs started to wake up as they bellowed, as their yawn, and getting up. Zini leaped over to Aladar, who was still asleep with Eema and Baylene, as he landed on Aladar’s snort. Aladar was snoring. Zini tapped on the dinosaur’s head while saying, “Hey, wake up. Enough with the beauty sleep. You’re ravishing already.” Aladar groaned in his sleep. This was making Zini annoyed. So he opened one of Aladar’s eyes while saying, “Hey! Hello! Anybody in there?” Aladar gasped as he woke up. Zini was flying until he landed on Aladar’s mouth. “Zini, what are you doing?” Aladar asked as Zini climbed to his snort. “I believe you left a wake-up call for the dawn of time,” said Zini as Aladar was about to go back to sleep. Zini wasn’t having it. “Come on! Move it!” Aladar got up while asking, “What’s the hurry?” Zini leaped onto Aladar’s neck while saying, “Something’s up. The herd’s gathering without us. Let’s check it out.” Aladar began to walk to see what was going on until they both heard Burton speaking to a dinosaur who was still asleep. “Rise and shine! Kron says everybody goes.” The dinosaur was struggling to get up after sleeping as Burton started to push him onto his feet, “Come on. Get up! On your feet.” “Huh. The charm never stops around here,” said Zini as he and Aladar watched. Bruton growls as he looks at Aladar, thinking he said something about him, “You say something?” “Uh, no, no, sir,” he said while Zini hid behind Aladar’s neck. Bruton angrily approaches Aladar while saying, “Unless you got a death wish, you and that little parasite better get moving!” Aladar quickly headed off as Bruton snarls at him. “Sheesh, is that guy ugly or what?” Zini grinned before seeing Neera walking a head as he leaped onto Aladar’s head and said, “Hey, hey, hey, there’s your girlfriend.” Zini meowed as Aladar saw Neera walking with the other dinosaurs. “What are you talkin’ about?” “You know what I’m talkin’ about. Neera. Scaly skin. Yellow eyes. Big ankles.” “Yeah, I made a real impression on her,” said Aladar before snorting. “What you need is a little help from the love monkey.” “”The love monkey”?” Aladar asked. “Ow, baby!” Zini shouted before barking. “Ow!” He chittered and meowing as he hid behind Aladar’s neck. Neera heard the noise and looked at Aladar, thinking he was him that was making the noise at her, in an inappropriate way. The two baby Iguanodons were looking at Aladar as well. Aladar chuckled while smiling nervously. “That, children, is what’s known as a “jerkasaurus.”” Neera said as he walked off with the children cooing. “And with that, the ice is broken,” said Zini as Smolder flew next to him and said, “Yeah, after making inappropriate noises that made her think he was making fun of her.” Zini was about to say something until they all heard Bruton bellow as he was telling everyone to gather round. Aladar, Zini and Smolder came over to join the rest of the herd with Eema, Baylene, Url and the rest of the Equestrians coming. Flurry was rubbing her tired eyes as she accidentally bumped into some legs. She stopped and said, “Oh, I’m so sorry.” She looked up and saw it was Kron she accidentally bumped into, but he didn’t see she did it by accident. He glared close to the filly’s face and rudely said, “Watch where you’re going, freak.” Kron walked up to Bruton. Flurry’s face was now in shock and sad as she was just got hurt by the rudest jerk that was so horrid than Chrysalis and Blueblood was. Tears started to stream in her eyes, but she quickly rubbed them away as she heard her father’s voice calling out to her. (https://youtu.be/Vk-Bryw29go?si=w-28uxQkowfsQGUl) “Flurry, are you ready?” “Coming!” She shouted before running up to her parents. Kron walked up to Burton and said, “We’ve got a lot of first-timers here. Make sure they get it. We stop for nothing and no one.” “If this is your first crossing, listen up. There is no water till we reach the other side. And you’d better keep up, ‘cause if a predator catches you, you’re on your own. Move out!” Bruton said as he and Kron headed off. Burton bellowed which made the herd, except for Aladar and the Equestrians, move. Kron snorted. Eema, Baylene and Url stood by Aladar and the Equestrians as the other three lemurs got onto Aladar’s back. Baylene saw how long the path was and said, “Oh, my goodness. It looks like a very long walk.” “A long walk?!” Rarity asked in shock. “And hot. If you smell somethin’ sizzlin’, it could be me,” said Eema as she and Baylene started to head off. Spike sighed in annoyance, “This is so gonna be a long journey that I hope to forget.” Aladar can tell that this journey to the nesting grounds is gonna be way difficult than he thought it would. From not only minding Kron’s orders, but making sure his new friends are still alive and keeping predators away from them all. This was making him more worried than he usually was. //-------------------------------------------------------// VI //-------------------------------------------------------// VI The journey turned out to be quite difficult and tiring as the Equestrians thought it would be as they, along with Aladar and the herd, journey across the desert towards the nesting grounds. In fact, it even started to get hot that Eema was panting while having the lemurs behind her head for shade away from the sun. Yona especially didn’t like the heat as she was walking underneath Baylene for extra shade while having Sandbar on her back. Lightning was riding on Applejack’s back again with Flurry riding on her father’s back. Aladar was panting before looking up. Kron can tell they were moving too slow, not caring about the heat or how tired they all are, as he grunted before looking at Bruton and said, “We’re moving too slow.” “I’ll pick up the pace.” Bruton bellowed to tell everyone to pick up the pace as they moved to a little faster. The Equestrians wasn’t happy that they were told to move faster, especially Rainbow. “Ugh! Anymore orders from them and I’m gonna own myself a dinosaur punching bag,” moaned Rainbow. “I’m in on that,” said Applejack. By the time nighttime came, they were still walking throughout the desert without stopping to rest for the night. Yar was leaning over Eema’s head as he saw she was wandering off a bit from the head. Eema was panting before Yar said, “Hey, old girl, you’re wandering off a bit.” Eema exhaled slowly before saying, “That’s all I need: a monkey on my back.” She then walked back to the herd. “What I need is someone to carry me as I can’t go on any longer,” moaned Rarity. “Oh give it a rest, Rarity,” said Shining crossly, “And keep it down, my daughter’s asleep.” Everyone can see Flurry was sleeping on Shining’s back with her head resting on his mane. Throughout the journey, at night still, Aladar stopped and saw one of the dinosaurs have died. He panted while the two old dinosaurs panted. He then heard the raptors behind them as he saw three of them standing on top of the sand.m, trilling. Aladar decided not to bother them and just leave the dead dinosaur there as there was nothing he can do about it. He continued on with the herd before the raptors came to enjoy their meal. Morning came, and the herd was still walking on as the heat was getting hotter and hotter. It was so hot that Eema collapsed to the ground and groaned as she was ready to give up. “On your feet, Eema,” said Aladar as he pushed Eema back up, “We can’t let those things eat you. They’re out there waiting.” Back at where the raptors were, they already finished their meal as it was now just the skeleton of the dead dinosaur. They suddenly saw something up ahead behind them as two of them shriek and ran off before the last one did the same. The thing that scared them, or rather things, was two Carnotaurs. One was big, which means that’s a male, while the other one was small a bit to the big one’s height, which means that one’s a female. They growling while following the footprints that was left in the sand by the herd. They were starving and hungry for meat. And the herd was their meal. Kron came to a stop with Bruton being the next dinosaur to stop. They saw something up ahead. They thought it was the lake of water they’ve been heading towards that can help them survive long enough to reach the nesting grounds. The two bellowed and snorted while approaching the lake, signalling the herd that they’ve finally reached the water. All the dinosaurs vocalised as they followed Kron and Bruton. Eema couldn’t be more happy than she was before. “The lake!” She said. “We made it?” Yar asked. “It’s just over that…that hill, baby,” said Eema. “Oh, thank goodness,” said Baylene. “Finally! Something to help us keep going!” Smolder said happily. Aladar ran on ahead while saying, “Come on, Eema. Water. Remember water?” “Oh, it’s time to refresh my memory.” “And a nice swim to clean off the sweat!” Pipp said happily. But as they reached the top, Kron saw that there was no lake or water. It was all just an empty bowl shape desert with dinosaur bones. Kron was in shock before approaching further. Bruton and Neera saw that there was no water before the other dinosaurs, Aladar, the lemurs and the Equestrians saw there was no water there either. “What?! No lake?! No water?! What gives?!” Gallus asked in anger. “I’m just gonna walk right into that lake until the water’s up to my eyeballs and soak it all in,” panted Eema before seeing there was no water there as she sighed. Pipp fainted as she was caught by Sunny before she could hit the ground. “All of me life flashed before me eyes!” She said before looking disappointed, “It was really boring.” Bruton stood next to Kron before saying, “Maybe the rains collected somewhere else.” He looked at Kron, “What do you want us to do?” “Take a scout and check the entire perimeter,” said Kron. Bruton snorted before heading off to take a scout to help him check the entire perimeter to see if there’s any water there. Kron heard the baby Iguanodons whimpering and crying out as there wasn’t any water. This annoyed him as he said, “Enough! You have to be strong now.” He then called out to the herd, “The nesting grounds are only a few days away. Keep moving!” Kron headed off as the herd lowly scattered. Neera caught up to her brother and said, “Kron, we’ve never gone this long without water. If we keep going like this, we’ll lose half the herd.” “Then we save the half that deserves to live,” he said before growling, showing that he doesn’t care that much about some of the herd. Kron bellowed telling the herd to move on. Neera wasn’t happy by what Kron just said, but she continued to follow him as he was her brother after all. “Uh, guys?” Ocellus said as they all saw the herd moving again. Baylene saw them moving as well. “What? They’re moving already? Oh-Ho, we’ll never keep up.” “Couldn’t agree more,” said Sunburst. “There was water here, always water here before,” said Eema while walking into the empty area. Aladar approached Eema with the lemurs following him. “Guys, we should go help her. She’s not taking it well,” said Sunny. They all agreed before Shining said, “You lot go to her. I’m gonna go and see if Bruton has found any water and see if he needs help.” “Go careful, Shiny. There’s no telling what can be out there or what he’s like without Kron,” said Twilight. “Will do, Twily. Come on, Flurry. I might need your help, too.” “Um…okay,” she said nervously before following her father. But secretly, he wanted to see why his daughter was so quiet the entire journey as he noticed she didn’t even say anything since yesterday morning. “We always had water, always.” Eema started to collapse to the ground again as Aladar stood by her, “And…And plenty of mud.” She started to cry. Baylene slowly approached Eema while saying, “Oh, Eema, please. The herd won’t wait. We must carry on.” Eema gasped while Aladar tried pushing her back up as he said, “You gotta get up.” No one noticed that Baylene was so big that she made big footprints in the ground. “There was water everywhere,” winced Eema. “There is no water, dear,” said Baylene. Baylene continued to make huge cracks in the ground, without noticing, as Aladar grunted before hearing cracking noises in the ground. He turned to Baylene and saw the big footprints in the ground. This surprised him as Zini saw the cracks as well. “Baylene, don’t move,” said Aladar before approaching her with Oliver and Amore following him. “Oh, what is it? What’s wrong?” Aladar didn’t answer. Instead, he looked at the cracks and heard something from them. Zini heard it as well. “Do you hear that?” Zini asked. “I sure do. Lift your foot, Baylene.” Baylene lifted her foot as Aladar, Oliver, Amore and Zini started to dig the hole till it was lower and lighter enough while the lemurs and the rest of the Equestrians took care of the upset Eema. Once it was enough, Aladar said, “Now press down.” Baylene pressed her foot down into the ground as water suddenly appeared. Zini whooped before saying, “I always did like big girls!” “Do you see that?!” Amore asked in amazed. “Yeah!” “Water!” “Oh, my goodness!” Baylene said in amazed. Aladar bellowed, getting the herd’s attention, including Kron and Neera. “Water! Come on!” He called. “He found water,” said Neera in amazed. Aladar and the two ponies dug the hole up a bit bigger for more water to come out as Eema, the Equestrians and the lemurs came over. “That’s it, Eema. Come drink,” said Baylene as the dinosaurs started to drink some of the water while the Equestrians took turns off splashing some water in their faces to cool off. “Oh, that’s so much better!” Zipp said happily. “I feel like a new me!” Lightning cheered. The baby Iguanodons cooed before running down to get some water. But Kron ran past them. Aladar saw Kron coming towards them. “Kron, look. All we had to do is dig, and…” Kron interrupted Aladar by saying, “Good. Now, get out of the way.” He then roared at the old dinosaurs, making them back away from the water. The Equestrians did the same as Lightning got scared and hid behind the orange dragon. Kron started to drink some water as Aladar heard and saw the rest of the herd charging towards the water. “Wait! Wait! There’s enough for everyone!” But they didn’t listen as they ran past Aladar and bumped past him. “Ah!” “Look out!” Twilight said as the Equestrians tried to stay out of the herd’s crowding and fighting for the water while the lemurs climbed onto Baylene’s neck. They were pushing each other out of the way and drinking as much water as they can. The crowd was getting worst as Eema was struggling to get through them all as they made her fall over and the Equestrians got separated from one another. “Eema!” Aladar called as he ran towards her. “Momma!” “Braveheart! I’m coming, hang on!” Smolder called while trying to find her boyfriend. Neera started out of the area as she watched the herd fighting with his brother over one hole of water. She then saw Aladar helping Eema as they pushed past through the herd of dinosaurs. “That’s it. Keep pushing and shoving. That’s very helpful.” “Not sure that’s even helping,” said Silverstream as she flew up above the herd with Lightning on her back. Neera turned back to Kron who was roaring at the herd while still trying to drink as much water as he can drink. From what she saw from Aladar, he was like the opposite of Kron as he was mean and doesn’t care about helping the herd. It was now starting to be dawn as Shining and Flurry continued on trying to find Bruton and see if they’ve found any water. Flurry still remained quiet throughout the journey. She couldn’t stop hearing Kron’s harsh words he said to her yesterday morning after accidentally bumping into him. She was also worried how her father would react when she does tell him. Shining was starting to feel worried about her daughter. He hasn’t seen her this quiet since the day he shouted at her at the Tree of Life. When they jumped onto a mini rocky mountain, with pathways below it, Shining looked at Flurry and asked, “Flurry, are you doing okay?” “Huh? Uh, y-yes, Daddy. I’m doing okay,” said Flurry nervously, trying to hide her sadness. But Shining wasn’t buying it. He gently rubbed the filly’s mane and softly said, “Come on, sweetheart. You can tell me what’s wrong. I won’t get mad.” Flurry let out a sigh. She knew she couldn’t hide it from her father any longer, so she decided to just tell him. “It all started yesterday morning.” “Was it because of the early wake up?” “No. I accidentally bumped into Kron when I was coming to you.” “Did you say sorry to him?” “Yes. But he didn’t see that I was. He just glared at me, told me to watch where I was going, and…” “And what?” Shining asked, trying to remain calm as to what he was gonna hear next. Tears started to form in Flurry’s eyes as she said, “He called me…a freak.” “WHAT?!” Shining shouted in shock and anger. He could not believe a nasty dinosaur, like Kron, would called his daughter something like that. Shining started to calm down as he saw Flurry was almost close to crying. “Oh Flurry, why didn’t you tell me?” “I…I-I just didn’t want you to get more annoyed as we can’t return home till we reached the end of this film. And the journey was making us all hot and annoyed,” answered Flurry as tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. “Well, the heat was making me bad tempered, not gonna lie,” said Shining before pulling the poor filly into a hug, “Flurry, I’m not mad at you for what I’m about to say to you. You can always tell me if something’s bothering you or something has happened. I know you were just doing what you thought was right. We all bottle up our feelings in case the heat or something is making us angry to which we don’t need anything else to make our days even worse. But next time someone calls you something that you’re not, you can tell me, even if I am in a bad mood, okay?” Flurry slowly smiled at her father while tears were still rolling down her face. Shining gently brushed the tears away with his hoof as Flurry said, “Thanks, Dad.” “You’re welcome, sweetheart.” After a few minutes, they broke the hug before Flurry suddenly saw Bruton and another dinosaur with him walking down on the path. “Dad, I can see Bruton,” she said quietly while pointing where he was at. Shining saw him as he smiled at his daughter while quietly saying, “Flurry, way a go.” Flurry smiled before the two looked down to see where Bruton and the dinosaur was going while making sure not to be seen. “Bruton, we’ve been walking in circles. There’s no water here. I think we should get back.” (https://youtu.be/VRq8ijp9L9A?si=Ru_wMJbV5qRngvGY) “Shh. Keep it down.” “Don’t think they had any luck finding any water,” said Flurry. “No, doesn’t look like it,” said Shining. As the two dinosaurs continued on, none of them heard a hiss coming from a Carnotaur who saw them walking by as it went the other side so it can take them by surprise. Flurry saw the Carnotaur and got scared and nervous as she said, “Uh, Dad?” Shining turned and gasped as he saw the Carnotaur too. “Oh, that’s not gonna be good.” “What do we do?” “Remain here. We can’t warn them or even try to stop that thing. That monster looks too dangerous to even fight with, and going to Bruton may cause some damages as to what may be happening next.” “Okay.” Flurry stood next to her father. Bruton stopped before sniffing something. He can tell something wasn’t right. But he continued on with the scout without knowing a Carnotaur was right behind them growling. “Let’s get out of here.” Suddenly, the scout gasped as he was being pulled by a Carnotaur as it dragged him by his tail away from Bruton. Flurry got really scared and hid her face in her father’s chest as he hugged her tightly so she couldn’t see the kill scene. Bruton watched in horror before seeing anothee Carnotaur appear next to him. He tried to make a break for it as the Carnotaur chased him while the other one ate the scout. “They’re g-gonna e-eat us when they f-find us!” Flurry said in fear. “You’re right, honey. There’s no telling when they might show up next or when they’ll find us. We better inform your mother and aunt.” “But what about Bruton?” “We’ll come back for him when we tell the others and try to get some backup,” said Shining as he placed his daughter on his back and quickly ran back to the others. Bruton saw there was no other choice, but to fight his way out. He charged towards the Carnotaur as it roared and approach to attack the brown Iguanodon. //-------------------------------------------------------// VIII //-------------------------------------------------------// VIII It was still thundering as Aladar, the lemurs, the old dinosaurs and the Equestrians were trying to find and catch up with the herd since Eeme, Baylene and Url were old and can barely run. (https://youtu.be/Ue37xR7afPI?si=aRy_Lv7pf_otPv5u) Smolder was holding Lightning close to her chest so he couldn’t get scared of the thunder. However, he was getting tired and cold as he was shaking a bit. Capper noticed this first, while trying to cover himself with his coat, as he said, “We best find the herd soon. I’m not sure how long Lightning and the children can put up with the cold.” “I’m with Capper on this,” said Oliver as he looked at his little sister hugging his neck and trying to keep warm with his mane. Shining and Cadence saw their daughter was getting cold. Cadence went over to her children and gently stroked Flurry while softly saying, “Shh…hang in there, baby. We’ll find somewhere that’s warm and where we can rest for the night.” Eema started to sniff the ground to try and track down the herd. Aladar, Twilight and Sunny came over to her as Sunny asked, “Any luck, Eema? Are you able to track where they’re going?” Eema looked straight forward as she let out a sigh and said, “What’s the use? I’ve lost them.” “How do you lose a whole herd?” Yar asked sarcastically. That made Eema very cross. “Well, it ain’t easy. And if you think you can do a better job, go do it!” Eema turned away and laid flat on the ground. “Eema, what are you doing?” Spike asked. “Well, if I’m gonna die, I like to at least choose a spot. And this looks as good as any.” Aladar sighed in annoyance as he looked at his grandfather and said, “Nice going, Yar.” “Yeah, thanks a lot, monkey brain!” Smolder said crossly while hugging her boyfriend to keep him from being afraid of the thunder and the dark. “What? What did I do?” “Dad, you apologise,” said Plio crossly as she crossed her arms. “Why should I apologise? She’s the one who got us lost,” said Yar. “A gentleman would apologise,” said Baylene as she stared crossly at the old lemur. “Keep your long neck out of my business!” Yar shouted crossly which made Baylene stammer in shock. “Don’t talk to Baylene like that! You have no right to speak to her like that!” Flurry said crossly. “And you have no right to get into anyone’s business, young girl!” “Don’t you dare talk to my daughter like that!” Shining said crossly, “She was just sticking up for Baylene!” “And I appreciate what your daughter did,” said Baylene. “Look, guys, we can’t stay here. Those Carnotaurs are out there,” said Hitch. Oliver sighed, “If we keep this up, we can kiss the herd goodbye.” “You don’t need to be push my old carcass around, you go on ahead,” said Eema. “Sounds good to m…” Yar was cut off by an elbow punch by Plio before she said, “Forget it, we’re not leaving without you.” “Yeah! No one gets left behind!” Izzy said. “Then pull up a rock and make yourself comfortable,” said Eema as Url dropped a rock near her. Pinkie chuckled at this before saying, “Well, she did say pull up a rock, and Url did.” “Now’s not the time for joking around, Pinkie,” said Starlight. “Oh please, Eema,” begged Baylene. “Nope.” “What shall we do?” Rarity asked. “Hmmm…” Aladar tried to think of a way to get Eema to get up. He then thought of something and said, “Okay then, I guess we’ll just have to go on without her.” He walked away which made Eema surprised by this. “Have you lost your senses?” Baylene asked in shock. “Work with me,” whispered Aladar to get Baylene to understand what he was actually doing, and she understood and decided to tag along. “Ah, yes, quite right. I’ve enjoyed your acquaintance, Eema. Good day.” “Yep. Really gonna miss you,” said Twilight. “Twilight, you can’t be serious,” said Applejack in shock until Twilight moved her head signal Applejack to play along as this was Aladar’s plan on getting Eema to get back up again. And she understood what was going on, including the others. “Ah, now I understand,” whispered Applejack before speaking to Eema, “It’s a shame you’re giving up now, sugarcube. Good day to you.” The Equestrians went to Aladar. “All right, listen up, we’re gonna have to pick a new guide,” said Aladar as he looked at Eema who was grinning at them, “I know it’s gonna be hard to replace Eema, but at least there’s plenty to choose from.” “Look no further, I’ll do it,” said Zini. “I need you to take little Suri and be lookouts really,” said Aladar, much to Zini’s disappointment, but not to Suri as she said, “Okay! Well, then Url can be the guide.” Aladar looked at Url as he had a rock in his mouth and shook his head as Aladar said, “Uh…I don’t know. He…he might be a little overqualified. I was thinking of something older. A little experience in life’s little dilemmas.” Aladar pretended to think of who it could be. “Who could that be? What about Yar?” “Huh?” Eema was surprised by that choice. But not to Yar as he was happy that Aladar chose him, well, pretend really. “Excellent choice,” he said gladly. “Yeah! Yar will make a great guide to help us get back to the herd!” Flurry said. “I appreciate that, kiddo,” said Yar. “Yar couldn’t find his shadow, on a sunny day,” said Eema as she started to get back up again, “I think I’m getting my second win.” “Good, cuz I would have pushed you up.” “In your dreams, grandpa.” The dinosaurs, lemurs and Equestrians continue on their journey through the stormy night to find the herd. Thunder crashed again which made Smolder hug Lightning as tight as she could so he wouldn’t get scared but making sure she wasn’t hurting him. “Oh, joy. Blisters,” said Baylene. “I’ve got blisters on my blisters,” said Eema. “We don’t need to know that!” Gallus said. “You don’t wanna know where I got blisters,” said Yar. “No, we don’t,” said Sunburst. Just then, they all heard a bellow from a dinosaur echoing which made them stop. “What was that?” Eema asked. “It came from up ahead,” said Baylene. “Okay, what’s the worst thing it could be?” Zini asked. “A carnotaur,” said Suri in fear as she hugged Zini tightly while he asked, “Okay, what’s the second-worst thing it could be?” “Two carnotaurs! Oh!” Baylene said in fear, “Oh, my goodness!” “That’s it. I’m gone,” said Eema as she turned to walk away. “Hang on, shouldn’t they behind us as they were way behind before showing up?” Sandbar asked. “Who cares?! If there’s more up ahead, we’re done for!” Rarity said in a dramatic tone. “Everybody, we don’t know for sure. It could be the herd,” said Aladar, making everyone stop panicking, “Let’s check it out.” “Oh, my goodness. Goodness gracious,” said Baylene after removing her head from behind Aladar as they all followed the dinosaur. “If it’s not the herd, I will never forgive Aladar for this,” said Rarity. “Oh, stop fussing already. You’re doing my heading,” said Rainbow in annoyance. Aladar slowly peeked from a boulder as he heard a dinosaur growling. He moved a bit further and saw it was Bruton who was grunting and struggling to get up. Everyone else peeked next to Aladar and saw it wasn’t the herd or any of the two Carnotaurs. Eema gasped before saying, “Oh, it’s Bruton.” “It appears we weren’t the only ones left behind,” said Baylene. Bruton groaned while trying to lay on his side. Aladar was the first one to approach him with Twilight following behind. Bruton exhaled deeply as they all saw the nasty cuts on him. Some cuts had blood on them still. Pipp gasped in shock. “Look at the nasty cuts on him.” “What happened?” Aladar asked while looking at the cuts in surprise. “Carnotaurs. We should keep moving,” said Eema as she began to walk away. “We can’t just leave him here,” said Plio. “She’s right. We can’t just leave him to defend for himself,” said Misty. “We can if we move fast enough,” said Eema while continuing to walk away. Aladar went over to Bruton and said, “Hey, you don’t look so good. Let me help you.” “Save your pity. I just need some rest. Now, get away from me.” “Suit yourself.” “Yeah. He was just trying to help,” said Shining crossly. Another thunder clapped, which made Smolder hug Lightning tight again, as Aladar looked up and saw a storm was about to come. He then heard an object drop near him. “Hmm?” Aladar looked down and saw Url panting at him before pushing the twig a bit with his snort, like he was trying to point Aladar to where they hide from the storm. He snorted before walking off. Aladar looked at the twig and then at where it was pointing at as he saw Url walking towards a cave. Aladar figured that the cave would make a good spot to hide from the storm and rest for the night. He looked at Bruton and said, “If you change your mind, we’ll be in those caves.” “Caves?! What do you mean we’ll be in those caves?! Don’t you know what kind of things could be in those caves at this time at night?!” Rarity asked in shock. “Well, it’s either that or we get wet and put ourselves in danger during the night. And I pick caves,” said Applejack as she approached the cave. “Hm…fair point,” said Rarity before following the others. Bruton was about to say something, but decided not to and just laid his head down. The group entered the cave. It was very dark, but dry enough for them to rest until morning. “It’s dark, but at least it’s dry,” said Aladar. “I like dry. It’s the dark part I’m having trouble with,” said Eema. She then accidentally stepped on Url as she gasped before saying, “Ouch! Ooh. Sorry, Url. Sturdy little thing, ain’t he?” Aladar chuckled. Sandbar was walking and looking around the cave until he bumped into Yona’s rump. He backed up a bit as Yona looked at him with a smile on her face. Sandbar blushed while saying, “Sorry, Yona. Cave’s so dark, I can’t see where I’m going.” “Yona not mad. Yona can’t see in dark, too,” said Yona. “Ahem. We appear to have a visitor,” said Baylene. “Huh?” Sunny, Aladar and Baylene turned to the entrance of the cave as Sunny said, “Oh, I see.” There they saw Bruton struggling to walk as it was now raining. Thunder clapped once more as Bruton looked at them while breathing heavily. He continued to try and walk on, but he groaned and then collapsed flat on the wet ground. Aladar can tell he was struggling and went back out to try and help him again as Plio watched him. Bruton was gasping before see Aladar standing in front of him. “You coming in or what?” He asked. “What is it with you?” Bruton asked. “At least I know enough to get in out of the rain. Now, come on. On your feet.” Aladar stood next to Bruton as he grunted and slowly started to stand back up. He grunted before nearly collapsing again. Aladar tried to help him, but Bruton growled and pushed him away. The two entered the cave as everyone watched Bruton coming in with Aladar next to him. “Uh, you can lie down with us. It’s warmer,” said Aladar. But Bruton grunted and walked off to find somewhere to rest that was away from them Plio watched him go before seeing a bunch of plants in the cave. She knew what kind of plants they are and knew they can help heal Bruton’s wounds as she leaped towards them. “May I remind you that he’s one of them?” Baylene asked, trying to tell Aladar that Bruton works for Kron. “Well, looks like he’s one of us now,” said Aladar as they watched Bruton resting on a mini mountain that he picked to rest as he grunted. “Well, if you believe change, Aladar, then I believe he is one of us now,” said Sunset. Plio looked at one of the plants and took one off from being stuck to the ground while the Equestrians and the dinosaurs picked a spot in the cave to rest for the night. “Ahh. Who booked this trip, anyway?” Eema asked. “Ah, you’ll be at the nesting grounds soon enough,” said Aladar. “Well, when I get there, I’m gonna give Kron a piece of my mind.” “Same here. I’m still not happy with him after calling my daughter a freak two days back,” huffed Shining. “You both tell him,” said Aladar, before hearing Zini and Suri giggling. He turned and saw they were giggling at Url yawning and the way he was resting on his back. Shining saw Flurry giggling at Url as well. That made him smile as he was glad his brother was feeling happy again, even after telling him what Kron called her. “If I could sleep that deep, I’d be in paradise,” said Yar. “If you could sleep that deep, honey, you’d be dead,” said Eema. “Oh shut up and get some rest, already,” said Smolder as she rested her head on Silverstream’s side while Lightning was resting underneath the hippogriff’s talon arm with her wing covering his body. The others shared a laughter before resting their heads down and falling asleep. Bruton watched while grunting before seeing Plio leaping towards him with a plant in her hands. “This plant grew on our island. It will make you feel better,” said Plio as she took some stuff out of it and carefully placed it on one of his wounds. Bruton grunted as the stuff touching the wounds hurt him. “Ahh,” he sighed as it was slowly starting to feel less painful. Plio placed the plant next to him, as she believes it was enough to help heal the wounds, and was about to leap back to her family when she was stopped by Bruton asking, “Why is he doing this? Pushing them on with false hope?” “It’s hope that’s gotten us this far,” answered Plio. “But why doesn’t he let them accept their fate? I’ve accepted mine.” “And what is your fate?” “To die here. It’s the way things are.” “Only if you give up, Bruton. It’s your choice, not your fate.” Bruton just looked away as Plio said, “Well, the plant will help.” Plio leaped back to her family as Bruton watched her go. He started to let her words sink, and thought that maybe she’s right. It is his choice and not his fate to decide to die. Bruton looked at the plant and used his foot to pull it close to him, so he can use it to heal his wounds. It was still raining outside during the night as a thunder clapped. (https://youtu.be/mybc0Qi-ohc?si=-VZsWbN9uXHQKVRN) The two Carnotaurs were both growling and wandering about as they saw the cave before approaching it. Back inside the cave, everyone was still asleep. Footsteps can be heard as it woke Aladar up and made him look at the rocks moving from the loud footsteps. He looked at the cave sentence and gasped in shock before Bruton came over and whispered, “Shh. Carnotaurs.” The two Carnotaurs growled while looking around the place as they weren’t bothered entering the cave. “What do we do?” “Wake the others.” The Carnotaurs hissed while still looking around the outside of the entrance. Aladar and Bruton managed to wake everyone up quickly but quietly as they got up and made a bee line further into the cave. Aladar shook Url to wake him up as he saw the Carnotaurs and bleated. Aladar quickly closed Url’s mouth, hoping the Carnotaurs didn’t hear that. The Carnotaurs growled and looked as they thought they heard something. Thinking that they were just hearing things, they went back to sniffing around the wet ground. The dinosaurs, lemurs and the Equestrians were on their way further into the cave to get away from the Carnotaurs. Baylene moved her neck up a bit too high as she hit the ceiling. “Oh,” she said. Suddenly, a piece of rock started to fall from the ceiling as it hit the ground and flew past Eema. “Ooh,” she said in surprised while watching it go. Flurry gasped and quickly used her magic to stop the rock from reaching the outside. Everyone sighed in relief. But then, dust from the ceiling flew into the filly’s nose as she was about to sneeze. “Oh, that’s not good,” said Zipp worriedly. “Achoo!” Flurry sneezed as the grasp let go of the rock and it went towards the entrance. “Oh, no,” said Flurry worried. Aladar gasped before trying to stop the rock, but it was too late. The rock had rolled outside in the rain. The Carnotaur snarled as it believed that dinner was inside the cave. Aladar backed up a bit as the Carnotaur peeked its head through the rainy entrance and sniffed in search for who was inside. Plio whimpered while Yar had his hand on her for comfort. Sparky was whimpering too as he hid in his father’s mane. The Carnotaur growled while looking around. Suddenly, a thunder clapped and lightened the cave up a bit to show Aladar in the cave. The Carnotaur hissed and charged into the cave as Aladar ran towards the others. “Run!” Oliver shouted as they all ran just before the other Carnotaur entered. “Go! Go! Hurry!” Aladar shouted while running with the Carnotaur chasing him. Eema was unable to run due to struggling to walk up the cave steps. Aladar ran up to her and pushed her up. “Move it, Eema!” The Carnotaur grabbed Aladar by his tail, with its mouth, and pulled him down as Aladar yelled. “Aladar!” Plio cried, “Aladar! Oh, no!” While running very far into the cave, Bruton heard Plio’s cry and can tell Aladar was in trouble. He knew he couldn’t leave them to get killed by the Carnotaurs, so he went back to help them. After pulling Aladar down, giving him wounds on the tail, the two Carnotaurs snarled and started fighting to who gets to eat Aladar. Then, out of nowhere, Bruton came and hit the Carnotaurs with his tail. Aladar breathed heavily while watching Bruton and moving away. “I’ll hold them off! You help the others!” He called. Aladar ran off to help the others as Bruton and the Carnotaurs roared, ready to fight. While running towards the others, Aladar heard Bruton bellowing and stopped. He knew he can’t let him hold them off by himself. Oliver and Flurry saw this as they stopped while hearing Bruton bellow again. “We have to help him! He can’t fight two of them by himself!” Flurry said. Oliver looked at the direction where they left, and knew Flurry was right. He looked at his sister and said, “Stay here. I’ll go help him.” Oliver ran off with Aladar to help Bruton. Bruton roared at the Carnotaurs. The female one charged at him, but he smacked her with his tail which made her fall towards a pillar and break it. Bruton saw it made a boulder fall from the ceiling and got an idea to defeat them. He charged at the Carnotaur and made it bump into another pillar which made the ceiling collapse and more rocks rain down. Aladar and Oliver came and saw the raining rocks as they tried to reach Bruton. “Bruton!” Aladar cried before grunting from the rocks hitting him. Rocks was hitting on Bruton as he tried to run towards Aladar and Oliver. But he was struggling from all the rocks falling on top of him. Aladar was grunting while to reach to Bruton. Bruton was unsure he was gonna make it, until he felt something grabbing his foot. He looked and saw it was Oliver who was grabbing his foot as he said, “Come on!” He pulled Bruton forward as the three made out of the raining rocks as a big flat ceiling rock fell to the ground and broke before the last rocks fell. Smoke from the raining rocks fell everywhere as the three coughed. Once that was done, Bruton looked at Oliver, who was breathing heavily, as he said, “You saved me. Why? Why would you do that?” Oliver finished breathing before answering, “I don’t know. But my heart was telling me that someone, like you, didn’t deserve to die from those falling rocks, even after helping us escape from the Carnotaurs.” Oliver walked back to the others as Bruton watched him in shock. He still couldn’t believe someone, like him and Aladar, would help him, even after the way he treated them. He started to believe that Plio was right. His fate wasn’t to die. Once they were back to the others, Twilight asked, “Is everyone okay?” “Yeah, we’re okay,” said Aladar. “Phew. That was close,” said Sunburst. Flurry saw Shining approaching her. She started to get scared as she thought he was gonna tell her off and yell at her for letting that rock go and let the Carnotaurs find them, even though she didn’t mean to sneeze and let the rock go. She quickly ran away from her father just as he was close to her and hid behind her auntie’s hooves. “Flurry, where are you going? Flurry?” Shining was about to go after her, but was stopped by Cadence’s hoof. He looked at his wife as she said, “Don’t. She thinks you’re gonna yell at her after she accidentally let that rock go.” “Huh? Why, though? I was just gonna ask if she was alright. Why would she think that?” “Remember the avalanche back at the Tree of Life?” “Yeah.” “Well, the way you yelled at her made her feel like it was her fault it happened,” explained Cadence, “And after she accidentally sneeze, from that smoke, she thought she might yell at her again when she didn’t mean to let the Carnotaurs find us.” Shining gasped in shock, he knew she was right. He did made his daughter think it was her fault the avalanche happened. And she thought he was gonna yell at her again when it was just an accident. “And all I did, on that day, was made her thought she wasn’t helping at all,” he said sadly before looking down in shame, “I wish I haven’t done that. She didn’t knew that was gonna happen, and she didn’t mean to let those monsters find us.” He looked at his wife, “I’ll…I’ll talk to her in the morning. Right now, it’s best not to try and talk to her now in case it will make things worse.” Cadence gave her husband a nod in understood and agreement. They all heard a Carnotaur hissing from the giant pile of rocks. They looked back and saw some rocks moving a bit, but no Carnotaur bursting out. “You think that’ll keep them away from us?” Ocellus asked worriedly. “Let’s hope so,” answered Bruton, “Come on, it’s best we rest.” Everyone agreed with Bruton as they all led down and fell back to sleep. But unknown to them, the big Carnotaur bursted from the pile on the other side and growled. It saw that the small Carnotaur was now dead from the rock rain. It wanted to go after its meal, but decided not to. It went towards the entrance of the cave, let out an angry roar and went thundering off into the rainy night. Author's Note Okay, I know I’ve added a deleted scene and I know Bruton died in the film, but I wanted to change the film a bit and added in what some of the facts on Bruton’s wiki page if he have survived in the film. A bit like how the two live action Scooby Doo films were done with Scrappy Doo being a good guy and rejoining the gang instead of being the main bad guy in the first film. //-------------------------------------------------------// IX //-------------------------------------------------------// IX Somewhere in the desert, and very far from the caves, Kron and the herd were still continuing their way to the nesting grounds, but the herd was getting tired from all the walking, especially the baby Iguanodons who were tired the most. (https://youtu.be/wYFOmaxxy04?si=Mjh-6G2djeOskHt7) They were all breathing heavily. One of the baby Iguanodons collapsed to the ground, leaving the other one to bleat as he was trying to get one of the dinosaurs to help them. Kron heard them, but snorted and continued on as he didn’t care who gets left behind. The second baby cooed while trying to get his brother back up again, but wasn’t any good. He bleated again at the herd who were now away from them and unable plus tired to hear them. He tried pushing him back up again, but still no good. He bleated again before they both saw Neera coming to them. She smiled at them as she softly said, “It’s okay, little ones. We’re going to make it.” The babies chittered as Neera gently pushed the baby back up to his feet. And it worked. The two walked back to the herd while Neera sadly looked behind her. There was still no sign of Aladar, the old dinosaurs, the lemurs or any of the Equestrians. Not even after what happened yesterday. This was making Neera sad and worried at the same time. She was starting to love Aladar, but Kron got in the way of her trying to help him. Now that they all left before the Carnotaurs came, she started to wonder if they got to them before they had the chance to escape. She let out a sad sigh before going back to the herd. Back inside the cave, the rockslide have saved Aladar, Bruton, the Equestrians and their friends, but now it was morning, they were going deeper into the cave to try and find their way out. They’ve been walking hours with no sign of an escape or any way that can help them leave the cave, that they were starting to get tired and bored. They got so bored that Zini tried to lighting up the mood by playing I Spy. “Okay, okay. Let’s do it again. Let’s do it again. Uh, I spy with my little eye…” Zini was interrupted by Yar saying, “A rock.” “You got it again! Ooh! You are good!” “Can we stop it with the I Spy game please? It’s getting annoying, and there’s nothing else to spy on than just rocks!” Rainbow said crossly. “Aw, come on, Rainbow. Cheer up, it’s only a game,” said Pinkie. “Yeah, when there are other things to choose than just the same thing,” said Pipp in annoyed tone. “Well, I’ll tell you what I spy,” said Eema, “A dead end.” And she was right. They’ve reached the dead end of the cave. It was nothing but a pile of rocks, and no way of going any further or getting out. They were stuck. “What do we do now?” Yar asked as Plio stood near him. “I guess we just go back,” said Aladar as he started to turn round and head on back to where they started. “Go back?! But that bit is blocked, remember?! We’re trapped!” Rarity shouted. “What choice do we have? We can’t get out this way. We have to go back,” said Bruton as he began to follow Aladar. “I’m sorry, Rarity, but they’re right,” said Twilight before following the dinosaurs. “No need to apologise, Twi. We know there’s nothing else we can,” said Applejack as she followed the alicorn with everyone else. But then, Zini started sniffing something. “Hold on a moment.” Zini leaped onto Baylene’s snort. “Zini, what is it?” Suri asked before leaping onto Baylene’s snort as Zini sniffed again. “Do you smell that?” Suri sniffed the scent too, and started to understand what Zini was sniffing. “Yeah,” she said as the two lemurs jumped off Baylene’s snort and onto the pile of rocks. Aladar started sniffing it as well before going back to the pile of rocks which made Bruton and the Equestrians stop and looked at Aladar in confusion. “What’s going on?” Sunny asked. “I’m not sure,” said Bruton as they went back to the pile of rocks. Zini moved the tiny rocks from the top of the pile which made a light shine from the outside and into the cave. The group were surprised as to what they’re seeing. Eema gasped, “Get a load of that.” “Good show,” said Baylene. “A way out! Yes! Haha!” Pipp cheered happily. “It wasn’t a dead end, after all! It was just a big pile blocking an entrance!” Hitch said. “Everybody stand back. We’re outta here!” Aladar said before charging to the pile. He began to push the big rock from the pile, but as he pushed it aside, it started to cause another rockslide. Zini and Suri noticed this and quickly leaped away from the pile. “Aladar, look out!” Bruton cried. Aladar jumped away from the pile as the rockslide covered the pile even more and blocked the light. Once it was over, Aladar saw that it was now blocked for good. “No!” He shouted before going back to the pile and tried to pushing one of the rocks to try and get it to move, but it wasn’t any good. Aladar stopped and breathed heavily while looking at his friends and family who can tell he was getting upset from what just happened. “Aladar?” Lightning said, but Aladar didn’t listened. Instead, he roared angrily and tried pushing the pile again which led to Lightning getting scared and ran to his mother. Fluttershy gently hugged her son in comfort while they watched poor Aladar trying to destroy the pile until he decided to give up. The Iguanodon exhaled deeply, realising that there was no other way of getting out that way now while the others looked at him with Url dropping his stick on the ground. “Well, now what are we going to do?” Rainbow asked. Twilight was trying to think of a way to help them all get out of the cave until she saw Flurry placing an eye on the rocks. Curious to what she was doing, she walked over to her and asked, “Hey, sweetie, what are you doing?” “Trying to hear which rocks is the safest to pull so they can fall without causing another rock slide. Not sure if there is one, but I want to at least try so we can escape.” Shining can tell Flurry was trying to find a way out of the cave without causing another rockslide or any possible way that might get her in trouble, and not in a way that shows he’s still overprotecting her daughter. He was about go over and help her, but he stopped as he saw Applejack approaching the filly and pushed away from the rocks. “Why don’t leave that for the adults to handle, Flurry? The last thing we need is another cave in and unable to get out,” said Applejack. “Wha…and you think that another rockslide is gonna be done by me, even if it was just an accident and I do find the right rock to help open the entrance?” “Well, you did caused a snow storm when you broke the Crystal Heart and caused an avalanche back at the Tree of Life. So it is best we don’t any of those happen again.” Flurry had never felt so hurt by words like that in her life. She actually heard the farm pony say that she might cause another rockslide, similar to how she caused a snow storm and an avalanche, and told her to leave the situation to the adults like her trying to help wasn’t needed. Even Shining couldn’t believe what Applejack just said to his daughter. It also reminded him how he treated her. “I was only a baby when that happened, and I didn’t mean to as I couldn’t control my magic! And I didn’t know that the avalanche was gonna happen!” Flurry said crossly. “Ah just think it’s best we deal with this so nothing else happens.” “Oh and I’m just somepony who’s gonna make things worse, even if it’s just a small accident? This coming from a farmer who abandoned my aunt over somepony she only met for one day and only cared about the false wedding than her friend, family and the entire Equestria!” “Don’t take that tone with me, young filly! We had many problems like this, I’m just trying not let it be a problem that we won’t be able to fix!” “More like trying to stop me from thinking magic can solve the problem, especially since you hate somepony using magic around your farm.” Applejack got very angry after Flurry just said that. Sure, she and her family never use magic on their farm, but she never said she hated somepony using magic around there, even if they were just helping a bit. “I never said that!” She yelled sternly, “Me and my family are Earth Ponies, and we never use magic for any chores, especially on my farm! Ah just want us to get out with no huge problems, even from what you might do! And you already done enough! Breaking the Crystal Heart, stressing us out with your uncontrollable magic, causing an avalanche, letting those Carnotaurs find us. Need I say more?” The old dinosaurs, lemurs and the other Equestrians were in deep shock and cross after hearing and seeing Applejack speak like that to Flurry Heart, even Shining was in shock. It still reminded him about how he treated her daughter, and he wasn’t happy about it. Lightning got scared by Applejack’s outburst at Flurry as he hid underneath his mother’s mane. Flurry’s lower lip quivered, as she tried to keep the tears from spilling. “Y-Y-You know what…” Flurry stammered. “I’ve said nothing, but try to help out and fix things, even after all the accidents I’ve made, and what do I get in return? You yell at me and tell me I can’t help, because of things I’ve done! Thank you so much…Guess I can see you don’t think I’m worthy of being the next princess.” And then Flurry abruptly turned around and walked off as she faced a corner of the cave, sat down and let her tears run free. Applejack was slightly stunned over how the filly spoke to her. She turned and saw Twilight looking shockingly, but crossly, at her friend. “What?” Applejack asked. “What was that? What was that all about?” Twilight asked crossly. “Ah was just trying to keep her from making things worse for us and getting in trouble with your brother!” “What? Like he was gonna do last night? He wasn’t going to yell at her, he knew she didn’t mean to let that rock get the Carnotaurs’ attention!” “And how do you know that?” Asked the farm pony. “Because I heard Cadence telling him that Flurry thinks he was gonna yell at her, and he said he wasn’t gonna,” answered Twilight, “That proves he wasn’t gonna do what he did back at the Tree of Life.” “So you were ears dropping last night then?” Applejack said crossly. “I was not ears dropping! I just overheard them talking last night and…Oh, why am I even arguing on what I did?! What I should be asking is, why did you treat Flurry like that? She was just trying to help!” “Because, like I said a few times, I just wanted to make sure we have no more worse problems like we had before!” “Even when she wasn’t around when those problems got worst and when none of them was her fault?! That’s hardly a good reason at all!” Twilight said crossly. “Well, maybe I wouldn’t be like this to her if your brother hadn’t decided to put her through the princess exams!” Applejack suddenly realised that she just opened her big mouth and revealed the actual reason why she was like that to Flurry. Twilight was in shock of concern before glaring crossly at Applejack while saying, “Is that it? All because Shining decided to put her through the princess exams now?” “It’s more than that.” “Applejack, Shining just said they were just gonna show her how to use princess magic, how to form a magical shield, how to run the princess title her own way and how to handle royal guards, and they’re just exams, for Celestia sake! They’re not worth having you thinking it’s gonna go wrong and believe Flurry is gonna do a lot of mistakes and cause huge problems, even if they’re just accidents!” “Open your eyes, Twilight! She was born as an alicorn, she had magic that she couldn’t control and destroyed the Crystal Heart! Why must you think everything’s gonna be fine, even before she becomes a princess or when she starts her next exams?!” Applejack turned to the white stallion, “Shining, come on! Tell Twi what I’m saying and what I’m trying to do here!” Shining looked at Applejack before looking at his sister. He started to remember how he treated her back at the rehearsal night and how he didn’t take her seriously, which he didn’t want to make the mistake happen again. He then turned to his daughter, who was still crying at the corner, as he remember how he treated her when Lightning was having a lot of nightmares and when they were at the Tree of Life. He couldn’t make more mistakes with his family, nor can he lose Flurry from being the next princess of the Crystal Empire. He stared crossly at Applejack and said, “No, Applejack, Twily’s right.” “She is?” Applejack asked in shock. “I am?” Twilight asked in both shock and confusion. Shining walked over to the farm pony while saying, “And I did say the exams wasn’t too hard or too serious. Just helping Flurry with those things Twilight just mentioned. Nothing more. And you’ve been treating that like it’s a big idea and will lead to her making more problems that we won’t be able to fix, even if she helped. In other words, what you’re doing is exactly what I did which nearly made Flurry decide not to be the next ruler of the Crystal Empire.” “Technically, she was about to decide not to be the next ruler after the way you treated her at the Tree of Life,” said Applejack, but Shining wasn’t in the mood to hear her talk on. “No, this is where you zip it, all right?! I’m talking! What if Flurry says she’s not gonna do the exams and refuse to be the next princess fully? Different story, because that’s on you. And if I made her refuse to be the next ruler, well…I think that one’s on me.” Applejack looked at the stallion in shame and guilt after hearing that as Shining continued, “And what you’re doing is exactly what I did without knowing the consequences. I nearly lost my wife, sister and daughter, thanks to my mistakes. I refuse to make the same mistakes happen again. And I only had Kron upsetting Flurry, I don’t need anyone else upsetting her. And I suggest you stop thinking putting Flurry through exams now is a bad idea and let us help her become the princess her own way, with no problems that she makes but are made by our stupid actions.” Shining looked at Twilight calmly and said, “Twily, you go check on Aladar. I’ll check on Flurry.” Twilight was still surprised that her brother said she was right while looking at her brother. But she just shrugged while saying, “Okay.” Twilight walked towards Aladar as Shining huffed while walking past Applejack. She then looked at the others who was looking crossly at her. And Izzy immediately zipped her lips, even throwing the ‘zipper’ away. She then walked towards Applejack, shook her head at her and said nothing more before joining the others. “I’m trying to do the right thing!” Applejack called out. “…Am I?” No one answered her, not even the lemurs or the old dinosaurs. She just stood in her place pondering over everything, the shame spreading along her face when no one was looking. As Shining sighed in frustration, he turned to Flurry, hoping he can make her feel better and help her see he wasn’t made at her. “Flurry?” Flurry heard her father’s voice and turned to look at him in fear while showing the tears in her eyes. Shining felt a sharp punch in her heart as he saw his daughter was upset and afraid, especially after the nightmare problem moons ago. But he wasn’t gonna make that mistake again, but even after what Flurry is going to say to him now. “D-Daddy, I…I’m sorry for nearly getting us killed last night! I didn’t mean to let the rock loose after I sneezed! It just that some smoke got into my nose and…” Flurry was cut off by Shining gently placing a hoof on her mouth. “Flurry, sweetheart, listen. You have nothing to apologise for. What happened last night wasn’t your fault. It was an accident.” Shining moved his hoof away from Flurry’s mouth, “Besides, it could have happened to any of us if we tried to stop that rock.” “But, Applejack said that I caused the Carnotaurs to find us.” “And she had no right to say that, especially in a way to say it was your fault, when it wasn’t. She did exactly what I did to you moons ago, and I still regret the way I treated you.” “So I’m not the baby that destroyed the Crystal Heart and nearly doomed everypony in the Crystal Empire?” Shining’s heart stung again after hearing what her say what he said she was, but he refuses to see or hear his own daughter still think she’s not worthy of becoming the next princess. He was gonna fix this. “No, you’re not,” said Shining while shaking his head, “Not because I say so, but because you never were. You’re the most beautiful child with a heart as strong as your mother’s. And I was so blinded and overprotective that I couldn’t see it, but now I can. And I want to continue having a daughter that’s beautiful, has a heart to care and tries her best to help others no matter what. You know why?” Flurry shook her head in response. “Because you are. And you always will be.” Flurry slowly smiled at her father as tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks. After Shining gently flicked the tears away with his hoof before Flurry hugged him around his neck and resting her head on his chest. Shining smiled at his daughter, happy that he was able to make her happy again, as he hugged her back. “Thanks, Dad.” “Anytime, honey. Anytime.” They broke the hug and smiled at each other for a few more seconds. Flurry suddenly remembered how Aladar was feeling after that rockslide and asked, “Is Aladar doing okay?” Shining turned and looked at Aladar who was still laying down in grump and sadness with Twilight checking on him along with Bruton and Plio. He can tell he wasn’t doing okay after not being able to get them out of the cave. “I don’t think he is, sweetie. After that rockslide and trying to get the rock pile to open, he’s feeling like he failed to get us out. But we better check and see if we can help him.” Flurry nodded her head as they walked over to Aladar. Aladar continued to lay on the ground as Twilight approached him and asked, “Aladar, you doing okay?” Aladar didn’t look at Twilight, but he did answer back to her as he said, “After what happened? How can I? That was our only way out, and now it’s gone. It’s now a full dead end.” Plio went to Aladar’s side and said, “Aladar, we’ll go back.” (https://youtu.be/697zMyJYHXY?si=HeOeNvVNA6pmTRtx) “Back to what? It’s gone. We’re not meant to survive.” Baylene was not happy by what Aladar just said, nor was she happy with Applejack’s behaviour towards Flurry Heart, as she said, “Oh, yes, we were. We’re here, aren’t we? And how dare you waste that good fortune by simply giving up?” She turned to Applejack, “And you, Applejack, yelling at a young child, like that, thinking she’s gonna cause more problems for us. Shame on both of you. Shame on you! Shame on you! The worst of it is, you didn’t let the poor dear help out just a little when she could have found a way out.” She looked back at Aladar, “And you allowed an old fool like me to believe I was needed that I still had a purpose, and do you know what? You were right. And I’m going to go on believing it. And I, for one, am not willing to die here.” Baylene started growling as she stood up before roaring and pushing the pile to try and break open the entrance. Eema can sense Baylene was right and started charging at the pile to help break it. Baylene continued to push the pile as Url bleated and helped break the pile as well. Aladar stood back up and backed up as he saw that the old dinosaurs weren’t gonna give up after all they went through and plan to break the pile no matter what. Baylene bellowed while continuing to destroy the pile. Bruton charged at the pile while saying, “You heard her! Come on!” Bruton started pushing the pile to help destroy it. The Equestrians looked at each other and gave each other a nod before deciding to help as they charged at the pile and started pushing, kicking and carefully using magic to help destroy the pile. Shining smiled at Flurry while saying, “What do you say, Flurry? Wanna help get us all out of here, together?” Flurry smiled at Shining and said, “Let’s do it!” “Charge!” Shining shouted as the two charged towards the pile and help destroy it by carefully using magic. Aladar can now see he was wrong and decided that now’s not the time to give up. So he growled and charged to push the pile to destroy it. Baylene, with all her might, pushed the pile forwards and destroyed the pile, causing a huge light to appear as smoke flow everywhere. “Oh, dear,” said Baylene. “No. Not “oh dear”,” said Rarity, “More like, you’ve done it! We’re free!” “And look!” Zipp said happily while pointing. The dinosaurs, lemurs and Equestrians walked forwards into the light and, to their surprise, they have reached the one place they were heading with the herd. It was the nesting grounds. “The nesting grounds. It’s…it’s untouched,” said Eema happily. “And so peaceful,” said Ocellus. They all exited the cave and saw birds flying everywhere as well as a nice, warm and clean pool with trees everywhere. It was so beautiful as any dinosaur could imagine. It was like heaven. “Our new home,” said Plio. “And it comes with a pool!” Zini cheered as he leaped towards it with Suri giggling and following along. The young seven, Spike, Flurry and Sparky giggled happily before running towards the pool, too. “Go long, Sparky! You owned it!” Hitch said happily as he watched the children run to the pool with Baylene and Url tagging along. Baylene laughed as Zini leaped on top of her head and jumped towards the pool while shouting, “Cannonball! Whoo-hoo-ha-ha!” He landed into the pool with a splash. “Ha. Amateur,” said Baylene. Plio was climbing up a tree as Baylene was about to enter the pool. “Look out below!” Baylene said before entering the pool with a huge splash, causing a big wave with Zini chittering while surfing on a log. The young seven, Spike, Flurry and Sparky all jumped into the pool, making a big splash one at a time, with Silverstream turning into a Seapony and began swimming underwater. “Haha! We’re here! We’re here!” Sandbar cheered. “Yeah!” Smolder splashed some water into her water, “Yeah, that’s better.” Everyone was whooping happily while Url dropped his stick and watched while panting happily. The other Equestrians, Yar, Plio, Aladar, Bruton and Eema watched while looking around the place as Aladar said, “Not bad. But I don’t get it. Where’s the herd?” “Yeah, I thought they’ll be here before us,” said Misty. “Not to mention Neera,” said Plio as Yar chuckled. Eema chuckled as well before saying, “They’ll get here…Mm. Soon enough.” Eema saw something and walked towards it. Aladar, Bruton and the Equestrians saw where Eema was going, as the children came back. “Oh, no,” said Eema as she got closer to what seems to be a huge rock pile. “Eema?” Aladar, Bruton and the Equestrians went over to Eema with Plio and Yar following them. “I spoke too soon.” “What is it?” Hitch asked. “That is the way we used to get in here,” said Eema. “What? From that big rock pile?” Izzy asked. “She’s right. That was where Kron was leading the herd to get here,” said Bruton. Aladar looked at the pile in shock, and then saw that was a sheer drop. And it will stop the herd from reaching the nesting grounds, even Kron won’t be able to get over. “They’ll never make it over that,” said Aladar. “We’ve got to stop them,” said Sunny. “We have to move fast!” Bruton said as he, along with Aladar and the Equestrians, ran back into the cave. “Aladar, wait! Wait! Kron’ll eat you all alive,” warned Eema. “Let him try,” said Aladar. “Yeah. If he wants to get here, he’s gonna have to listen to him for once,” said Gallus as they all disappeared into the cave. “Mm. I hope Kron’s in a listening mood,” said Eema as she looked back at the pile. Kron and the herd were now on the other side of the nesting ground as Kron looked at the rock pile in anger with the herd waiting for further orders. They were all vocalising while Neera and the two Iguanodons walked up to Kron. “Stay here,” she said to the babies before going up to Kron and looked at the pile. “We’ll find a way around it.” But Kron had a different idea. “In the morning, we’ll climb it.” Aladar and Bruton worked together to break down the pile of rocks to reach the entrance they came in from yesterday. They all got through and ran to the outside of the cave. “Follow me!” Bruton said as he led Aladar and the Equestrians to the right and towards the herd. Nighttime came, as the two Iguanodons and the Equestrians were breathing heavily and running as fast as they could to reach the herd in time. They stopped as Aladar moved a naked branch to reveal a dead dinosaur lying on the ground. “Oh, the poor sweet thing,” said Pipp sadly. Suddenly, they heard loud footsteps coming towards them. And they recognise those footsteps. It was that last surviving Carnotaur. “Oh, no. One of them survived,” said Sandbar quietly. “Quick. Behind here,” whispered Bruton as they hid behind a big rock. The Carnotaur growled while searching for some food as it approached the dead dinosaur which was close to where the Iguanodons and Equestrians were hiding. It growled and hissed as it got close to them while Aladar and Bruton carefully peeked from their hiding spot. Lightning whimpered as Fluttershy hugged him against her chest. “Shh shh shh shh shh...” Fluttershy said softly, as Lightning nodded in reply while snuggled against her fur. The Carnotaur roared and began attacking the dead dinosaur to eat it, which gave the dinosaurs and the Equestrians the perfect chance to escape and continue running towards the herd. “Hurry!” Bruton said quietly as they followed him. The Carnotaur swallowed its meal before growling and sensing more dinosaurs were close by. It decided to follow them, knowing that there’s more food out there for it. //-------------------------------------------------------// X //-------------------------------------------------------// X Morning came as Kron stood on top of a rocky path as the herd stood below while looking at him. Neera was on top with him. She still wasn’t happy with her brother’s idea of climbing over the rocks to reach to the nesting grounds. “We have to keep trying. Our survival, our future, is over these rocks,” said Kron, “Now, let’s go home!” The herd all chattering and continued to stand where they stood as they’re unsure if they can make it over the rocks. Kron saw this and tried to figure out a way to get them to do what he says and try to get over the rocks, even if it means losing more dinosaurs. He then saw the two baby Iguanodons by his sister, and saw this as a way to get the herd to start climbing. He walked over to them and pushed them towards the rocks while saying, “You’ll make it, won’t you, boys?” “No,” said Neera worriedly. She knows that they’re only little and won’t be able to climb over, not even by themselves. But Kron didn’t care. “Watch them. They’re tough!” Kron pushed them again before saying to the herd, “If they can do it, so can you!” Neera was now not happy with the way he’s treating the babies and the herd. But then, she saw the herd starting to make their way up to the rocks and start climbing, not knowing they’re risking their own lives to get over the dangerous rocks. Neera looked back at Kron as he grinned with delight before going forward, but then, he was stopped by a familiar male voice of a dinosaur he thought was gone two days ago. “Kron!” Neera gasped as she knew it was from Aladar. And she was right. Below down with the herd, Aladar along with Bruton and the Equestrians ran up to the rocks to where Kron was standing on as Aladar said, “Get the herd out of here! A carnotaur is coming!” The herd all bellowed in shock and worried to hear a Carnotaur was heading this way. Kron wasn’t sure if Aladar was right or not, but he wasn’t gonna stop from getting to the nesting grounds and becoming lunch for the monster. “Keep moving!” He shouted, and he was about to go on, but stopped by Aladar’s voice again. “Stop! We’ve been to the valley! There’s a safer way!” “He speaks the truth!” Bruton said, “I was there with them. Right after you left me and the others to slow down the carnotaurs.” The herd bellowed in surprised to hear that there was a safer way to the nesting grounds, and how Kron left Bruton and the three dinosaurs to be fed to the Carnotaurs. Now they know what happened to the others, including the ones they’ve lost along the way. They looked at Kron who was not happy with Aladar interfering again, and wasn’t gonna let him stop him from getting the herd to climb over the rocks. “Go on! Show ‘em!” Kron pushed the babies before Neera said in a cross tone, “Kron, listen to them.” “Look, we gotta go now!” Gallus said. “Go where, straight to the carnotaurs?” Kron asked crossly. “If we hurry, we can get around them!” Aladar said, “You can’t get over those rocks! There’s a sheer drop on the other side!” “He’s right!” Flurry said, “None of you will survive or reach to the nesting grounds, and you pushing those babies doesn’t prove they can all make it!” “Don’t you dare tell me what I’m not proving, kid!” Kron yelled, making Flurry scared, “I’ve spent days reaching to the nesting grounds and I will not have anyone stand in my way!” Flurry felt like she was gonna cry again from Kron’s outburst, similar to how she was about to cry after he called a freak the other day. But that crying didn’t happen as Flurry surprisedly heard her father’s voice as he stood near his daughter while glaring at Kron and saying, “You will not talk to her in that tone!” “I’ll talk to that brat however I want!” “Brat?! How dare you?!” Shining was so not happy with the way Kron called his daughter a brat, even after calling her a freak. “My daughter has shown nothing but kindness ever since she became a grown filly. She even tries to help out without being needed to be asked first. But most of all, she tries to be her own pony, show she doesn’t need to be protected a lot and tries her best to save her family and friends. A lesson I should have learned a long time ago.” Flurry smiled at her father, with small tears of happiness in her eyes, as Shining picked her up and held her in his hoof. “And you should know better!” Shining continued on, “If you really want the herd to get to the nesting grounds, and I mean everyone here, then you better listen to Aladar! One step over that sheer drop and you’ll be dead, even before the Carnotaur comes for you!” Kron refuses to believe them and angrily pushed the baby Iguanodons to show that they can make it over the rocks. “You’re gonna kill the herd!” Aladar shouted, “We know a way to the valley, and everybody can make it! Now, follow me!” “You heard Aladar! Let’s go!” Bruton called. Kron growled in anger. This was the last time he was gonna get interfered by Aladar. He charged towards the edge of the rocky path. “Kron!” Neera said while blocking his path, but Kron shoved her aside and jumped off as he landed before shouting, “They’re staying with me!” Aladar swung his tail at him before saying, “All right. Let’s go!” Kron growled in furious before charging towards Aladar, as he was gonna kill him like he said he would. “Aladar, look out!” Lightning shouted. Aladar turned and saw Kron coming at him. He pinned down to the ground as Aladar pushed him off him, making him land on his side. They got back up onto their feet. Neera can tell Kron was literally gonna kill him as she ran towards them. Kron snarled before leaping towards Aladar as he pushed him which made him fall to the ground. Neera stood in between two dinosaurs and watched with the Equestrians as Lightning, Flurry and Sparky hid underneath Fluttershy, Shining and Hitch. Kron grunted before throwing sand into Aladar’s face. Aladar roared at him, but then Kron slashed him across his chest with his spiked thumb by making a deep cut. He growled again before knocking him to the ground, scaring the youngsters. The Equestrians can tell Aladar wasn’t gonna be able to fight back as Spike said, “Mom, we have to stop him! He’s gonna kill him!” Twilight looked at her child and knew he was right. And it was at this moment, Twilight knew what she needed to do. Kron roared and was about to deliver a death strike at Aladar until he was knocked to the ground by Neera and Twilight, stopping him from killing him. The herd was in shock to see Neera knocking down her own brother while Kron looked at his sister in shock. Neera breathed deeply while looking at Kron before walking towards Aladar. Kron sadly watched his own sister go before looking at the Equestrians who were all glaring at him, especially Flurry, Sparky Fluttershy and Lightning. Capper had his arms crossed while glaring at him. "Your heart is so filled of hatred! You are not fit to be a leader!" Twilight angrily told Kron. Silverstream placed Lightning on her back while Hitch placed his baby dragon on his dragon as they all walked towards Aladar. Neera helped Aladar back up onto his feet as they turned away. Kron watched while getting back onto his feet. He growled lowly before shouting, “Neera!” His voice echoed as Neera didn’t listened and continued to walk with Aladar. Kron can tell she wasn’t coming back to him. The herd can tell Aladar was more helpful than Kron was and decided to follow him to the nesting grounds. Kron watched them go before seeing Bruton coming up to him. He glared at his ex-boss and said, “You are weak, Kron. And you never cared about helping them get to the valley alive. Now, you can either follow him, or stay here and kill your own future.” Kron stared surprisedly at Bruton without saying a word or even moving forward to follow Aladar. Bruton can tell he wasn’t gonna change his mind and decided to leave him and follow Aladar. While walking away, Neera nuzzled Aladar’s cheek to help him feel better. But then, they all stopped as they heard a howling coming from the distance. Aladar can tell what it was that made that howling, and was worried it was coming closer than he thought it would be. The Equestrians can tell what it was as well. Lightning, Flurry and Sparky got really scared and started to shake in fear. Silverstream, Cadence and Hitch picked them up and held them close to their chests in comfort. Suddenly, they all heard footsteps getting louder and louder. Then, up ahead, they saw the Carnotaur appearing. It saw the herd and growled as it slowly approached further from the exit. It sniffed before hissing and growling again. “Oh, no,” said Zipp worriedly and in fear. “They’ve led that monster right to us! This way!” Kron called in fear as he started climbing on the rocks. The herd all turned to follow Kron, but Aladar quickly stopped them by saying, “No! Don’t move! If we scatter, he’ll pick us off! Stand together!” “What?!” Rarity asked in shock. “Now’s not the time for questions! Just do as he says!” Pipp said. The herd did what Aladar said and stood together with him. Kron turned to see that they would rather die by the carnotaur than follow him. So he decided to go on ahead without helping them. The Carnotaur let out an angry roar. Aladar, Neera, Bruton, the Equestrians and the herd continue to stand together while looking at the beast. Sparky started to whimper in fear before looking at Hitch and saying, “Papa!” He hid his face into his father’s chest. Hitch gently rubbed Sparky’s head while softly saying, “It’s gonna be okay, Sparky. Aladar knows what he’s doing.” He gulped nervously, “I hope.” The Carnotaur stomped its foot before charging towards his meal. The herd took a step back a bit, not knowing what was to come next for them as the beast coming in closer and closer to them. “I’ve got you,” said Hitch to his dragon. “I hope you know what you’re doing, kid,” said Bruton. The Carnotaur continued charging towards them which made them step back a bit again. It growled, ready to begin his biggest kill yet. “Aladar!” Oliver said worriedly, not knowing what the Carnotaur was gonna do first. Aladar was unsure what to do next. So he took a step forward and bellowed at the beast. Neera, Bruton, the Equestrians and the herd watched in surprise as they saw Aladar bellowing at the Carnotaur which made it slow down and stop. The Carnotaur growled at him before seeing Neera, then Bruton and the rest of the dinosaurs bellowing at him. Now, the beast was surrounded by bellowing dinosaurs. The Equestrians were unsure what they were doing, until Sunset started to understand what was going on and said, “Hey, their bellowing is stopping the Carnotaur and backing him away so they can leave.” “And it looks like it’s working,” said Twilight. “But they need more,” said Sunny. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s help them!” Izzy said. They all cheered and began to stand next to the dinosaurs and did their own bellow to stop the Carnotaur. The Crystal Empire family stood behind and watched. Flurry was about to join in, but stopped and looked at her father, thinking he wasn’t gonna let her. However, Shining was smiling at his daughter, knowing that she wants to help and knows she can do it. He moved his head, telling her to go on, as he said happily, “Go on.” Flurry smiled and ran to stand next to her brother and started bellowing at the Carnotaur. Shining, Cadence and Amore watched as the stallion looked at his wife, as she looked at him, before Shining said, “Shall we?” Cadence grinned at her husband and said, “Let’s do it.” The three ran to stand with their friends and family and bellowed at the beast. The Carnotaur started to back up a bit as Flurry noticed this. “It’s working! He’s moving back!” Flurry said. “Let’s give him what we got!” Sunburst said. Aladar continued to bellow, along with everyone else, as the Carnotaur continued to move back and making a path for the herd to leave towards the exit. Sparky noticed this and excitedly pointed at the free path which caught Hitch’s attention first. “Hey, the path’s clear!” Hitch said happily. “Let’s get the herd out of here!” Starlight said as they began guiding the herd out of the rocky place while Aladar, Neera and Bruton stayed to continue bellowing at the Carnotaur to stop it from following. “Come on, keep moving! Don’t run! Single file!” Shining instructed. Once the last of the herd was out, the three Iguanodons stopped bellowing and joined the others. The Carnotaur growled before spotting Kron who was still trying to climb up on the rocks. He was breathing heavily while struggling to climb. The Carnotaur can tell he was the only one left and charged towards him. While making sure the herd was safe, Neera suddenly saw the Carnotaur going after Kron. Knowing he can’t face it alone, she shot off to go after the beast. (https://youtu.be/xC1UhsOGao8?si=NfGFhMJgWyj8WFTv) “Neera, where are you going?!” Smolder called. Aladar saw Neera going after her brother and started exhaling deeply before growling and then going after them. “Aladar!” Capper called. “They must be going after Kron and stop the Carnotaur from killing him,” said Twilight. “After what he’a done, they’re still gonna help him?!” Rainbow asked in shock and anger. “No time for questions like that, we’ve got to help them!” Zipp said. “But what about the herd?” Misty asked before seeing Bruton running past them as he turned and said, “I’ll protect the herd! You help the others!” The Equestrians gave Bruton a nod in understood as they ran off to help Aladar and Neera defeat the Carnotaur and save Kron, even if Rainbow doesn’t want to as he was a nasty Iguanodon. “Kron!” Neera shouted. Kron turned and saw the Carnotaur was chasing after him. He began to start climbing faster as he slipped on some rocks, but managed to get back up and continue climbing and running. He reached the top before looking back and saw the Carnotaur was catching up to him. Kron was about to continue running, but just as he was about to go on, he found that Aladar have been right. There was a sheer drop to the valley below. Kron looked up and saw there was no other way out. Realising he was now trapped, he turned to see the Carnotaur was coming closer. “No. No.” The Carnotaur snarled while coming towards Kron. Kron saw he had no choice, but to fight the beast as he smacked it in the face with his tail. Aladar, Neera and the Equestrians were not far behind as they climbed further to reach to the top to help Kron. “Are we seriously doing this right now?” Rainbow asked. “Just shut up and hurry before the Carnotaur gets his first meal of the day!” Shining shouted. Kron was about to fight back again, but the Carnotaur shoved him with its snort before ripping into him and threw him towards a big rock. The Carnotaur roared before closing in to the kill as Kron watched in horror. But then, came Neera as she tried to push the Carnotaur off the edge, but the beast pushed her as she hit the rock. The monster growled at Neera and was about to kill her first until Aladar smacked it away with his tail. Aladar roared at it as the Carnotaur smacked him away with its tail. The Equestrians arrived on the scene as they saw that Neera was struggling to get up to help her boyfriend. The Carnotaur was about to kill Aladar, but stopped as it heard Flurry shouting, “No! Leave them alone!” The beast saw the filly standing where Neera was laying as Flurry started to realise that was a mistake and got scared. The Carnotaur turned to her and was about to approach her. “NO!” Oliver shout angrily before turning into the Ink Demon and leaped towards the Carnotaur and pushed it away from his sister by punching it in the face. The demon landed on his feet and growled at the Carnotaur before speaking in his venomous voice, “You mess with my friends and family, you mess with me first!” The Carnotaur roared at him and charged towards him. But Oliver was quick on his ink feet and punched the beast in the face again which made it fall back towards the edge. “Aladar, now!” He shouted. Aladar got up and growled while charging at the Carnotaur. He started pushing it towards the edge, but as the Carnotaur was bigger than him, it was able to stop from falling. The beast growled at the two and was about to approach to kill them as they stood back a bit. Suddenly, they heard and saw the edge collapsing due to the Carnotaur’s weight and heavy steps it can do. The edge broke apart fell down with the Carnotaur falling along as it grabbed Aladar with its teeth and tried to drag him along. But Oliver wouldn’t let Aladar join it as he quickly grabbed Aladar’s foot just as the Carnotaur couldn’t hold on to him for much longer. It let go of him and screeched as it fell to his death. Oliver helped Aladar get up from the destroyed edge as he turned back into his pony form. Neera and the Equestrians went to Aladar and Oliver’s side, as Bruton came up to them. “Everyone okay?” He asked. “Yeah, I believe so,” answered Misty. They all looked down and saw the Carnotaur was now lying dead on the rocks below. It was all over. Both of the Carnotaurs are now dead. “Kron,” said Neera sadly. Aladar, Bruton and the Equestrians saw Neera approaching Kron who had his eyes closed. She tried to help him, but it was too late. Kron had died from his fight with the Carnotaur. This made both Neera and the Equestrians upset. Upset, because Kron may be a nasty dinosaur, but he didn’t deserve to die like this. Bruton approached Neera and sadly said, “Neera, I’m so sorry.” “For what?” “For not being able to help him change his ways.” Lightning felt he was gonna cry as Smolder hugged him for comfort while licking tears from her eyes. Yona hugged Sandbar as he was about to cry too while Flurry was being comforted by her father. “H-He was n-nasty, but h-he didn’t deserve t-to d-die,” said Flurry while whimpering. “No. No, he didn’t,” said Shining sadly while gently rubbing his daughter’s back. Aladar approached Neera as he felt the pain she was now going through. He nuzzled her before letting her rest her head underneath his head for comfort. “Come on. We can’t stay here,” said Bruton. The two dinosaurs and the Equestrians know he was right. There was nothing they can do now as Kron was now dead. So with Neera and Bruton on his side, he along with the Equestrians went back down from the top so they reunite with the herd, lead them towards the cave and head to the nesting grounds. Author's Note One more chapter left. Thanks to JusticeWind for suggesting Twilight telling Kron he is not fit to be leader. //-------------------------------------------------------// XI //-------------------------------------------------------// XI It was a long journey back, but Aladar, Bruton and the Equestrians, along with Neera on their side, have helped the herd get through the cave and into the nesting grounds, the safer way. (https://youtu.be/zbjCHPS3FfQ?si=UEn-dNI1C-HOcgc7) As they went out of the exit, the herd all grunt and squawked with happiness as they looked at the nesting grounds with Neera feeling happy they’ve reached the valley. “Looks like they’re happy they’re finally here,” said Ocellus. Aladar smiled at the herd and said, “Welcome home.” The herd started to bellow with joy as they left the cave and went off to find a spot for them to rest before having their eggs. “So what do we do now?” Hitch asked. “Well, I guess we just wait until they have their babies and then we can leave,” said Sunny. “I’ve got no problem with that!” Fluttershy said excitedly, “I’m so looking forward to see their babies hatch from their eggs!” This made everycreature, including Lightning, laugh at her excitement as they went off to catch up with Aladar, Neera and Bruton. Sometime later, as Aladar and Neera became mates, they had eleven eggs with one of them resting in the middle of their nest. Aladar gently and carefully nuzzled that egg so it was resting nice and warm in the nest before smiling at it. He then smiled at Neera as she smiled back at him before hearing Fluttershy’s voice. “Oh, my goodness,” she said softly as she went over to Aladar and Neera’s eggs. She smiled at the egg in the middle as she spoke softly to it, “Hello, little one. Bet you’re looking forward to coming out soon and see the big world that’s out there waiting for you to explore.” Fluttershy gently rubbed the egg while cooing as the Equestrians watched. Just then, the old dinosaurs along with the lemurs, the baby Iguanodons and Bruton came over. “Move over, everybody. Bringing in babies is what I do best,” said Eema. “I’d say it’s been a few years since you’ve hatched an egg,” joked Yar as he and Eema laughed. “You’re right, so let me practice on your head.” Just then, Plio saw the egg was about to hatch as she said, “Look! Somebody wants to meet you.” The baby, inside the egg, started to push the shell open. Plio gave it a hand and took off the broken pieces to reveal a male baby Iguanodon. “Ohh! Aren’t you the sweetest little small fry I ever did see?” Plio moved over to let Aladar and Neera look at their first child. “Hey, little guy. He looks just like me,” said Aladar while smiling at his son. Neera chuckled as she said, “Meet your dad. He’s not as crazy as he looks.” The baby cooed while pushing the rest of the egg shell off so he can begin his new life. “Ohh. Oh, happy day,” said Eema. The baby sneezed before Baylene said, “Well done, little one.” “Welcome to the world, baby,” said Fluttershy. Yar picked the baby up and smiled at him while saying, “Come here, you little rascal. Let me get a good look at you.” The baby started to urinate which didn’t amuse Yar. “Yep. You’re your father’s son, all right.” He then gave the baby to Plio to hold as Suri giggled. “Come on, Yar, he’s only a baby. And babies do stuff like that sometimes,” said Lightning. “Whatever.” Suddenly, they heard Zini’s voice as they saw him leaping with five white female lemurs. “Hey! Look what I found! New neighbors!” He called before speaking to the girls, “Any of you ladies up for a game of “monkey in the middle”?” The ladies giggled before all cuddling Zini. “Easy, now! Easy! Hey!” Zini said before laughing. The others laughed at Zini being cuddled by the ladies. “Well, guys, guess it’s time for us to go now,” said Twilight. “Huh? You’re going already? But you just got here,” said Suri sadly, “Aren’t you gonna call this your new home?” “Listen, sugarcube, ah know we came all this way just to find a new home,” said Applejack, “But this is really your new home. And our lives are needed elsewhere. So Twilight is right. We have to leave now.” “Oh. Okay,” she said in understood, “But, will we ever see you again?” “Of course you will,” said Sunny as Twilight nodded her head, “This isn’t goodbye, anyway. This is more of a see you soon. And after all, friendship never ends or disappears. It stays with you, no matter how far away we are.” “Well, wherever you’re heading next, we wish you all the best and hope to see you real soon,” said Baylene. “Thank you, and we hope to see you all again soon,” said Hitch while Sparky waved his hand at the dinosaurs and lemurs. “Till we see each again,” said Yar as the Equestrians made their way towards the cave and head on home. Flurry was right behind her parents until she was stopped by the sound of Bruton’s voice. “Hey, kid.” She looked at him and saw him smiling at her as he said, “You were very helpful to us all. You will make a great leader one day.” Flurry smiled back at Bruton and said, “Thanks, Bruton. And thanks to my Dad, I can tell I will be the princess I was meant to be. Take good of them, will you?” “As you wish, Princess,” said Bruton softly and politely. Flurry gave Bruton a nod before running off to catch up with her friends and family. As they watched them go, Aladar started to bellow out with joy. The lemurs all yipped before the baby Iguanodons and Yar bellowed as Baylene let out the biggest bellow she can do. As they went into the cave, the Equestrians turned and saw all the dinosaurs, including their friends, bellowing, howling and yipping with joy as their babies hatched from their eggs. They smiled, knowing that they’re now happy and gonna be just fine. “Good luck, Aladar,” said Misty, “Take care of them.” The Equestrians continued their way into the cave as a bright light shone over them and disappeared to take them back home while the dinosaurs and lemurs continued to bellow with joy and enjoying their new life in the nesting grounds. “None of us really know what changes, big or small, lie ahead. One thing is certain…Our journey’s not over. We can only hope that in some small way…our time here will be remembered.” In the theatre room, the screen beamed a light at the stand, where the projector was, as the group was now back in Equestria. Shining sighed happily before saying, “Home, sweet home.” “Yep, feels good to be back again,” said Hitch. Applejack smiled as she was glad to be home too, but looked sadly and guiltily at Flurry Heart. She remembered the way she treated her back in the cave and how she got told off by Shining and Twilight for it, especially over her parents beginning to put her through princess exams. She wanted to make things right with her. So she went over to the filly and said, “Hey, sugarcube. Listen, Ah just wanted to say I’m sorry for how I treated you back in the cave. It was wrong of me to shout at you like that and treat you like you can’t help with any problems we’re in, and Ah’m sorry.” She took off her hat and placed it on her chest, “Can you forgive me?” Flurry stared at the cowgirl pony before nodding her head and saying, “Yes, Applejack, I forgive you.” “Good girl,” said Shining proudly as he gently rubbed his daughter’s mane. Applejack smiled at Flurry as she was glad she could forgive her for her actions. “So, is this like your new adventure now? Going into different films?” Flurry asked curiously. “From what we had last time, yeah, I think it is,” answered Twilight, “Though, we did plan on using the projector for emergencies only and if we need to go into any films for important reasons.” “Good, because I would not like to keep on going into different films without knowing what we might enter into next,” said Flurry. Twilight nodded her head at her niece before looking seriously but crossly at Pinkie while saying, “And the next time we saw somepony or creature this place, NO showing them what not to do. They don’t need to be shown like they don’t know anything about consequences.” “And she means it!” The mane four, Spike, Sunset and Starlight said crossly in unison at the pink pony. “Okay, okay, I won’t do it again. Gee.” “Well, I guess that’s it then. The meeting is over now,” said Flurry in a sad tone, “And I was so looking forward to spending time my new friends, only for it be interrupted by that adventure we had in that film, which wasn’t all that bad, but still ruined most of it.” She let out a sad sigh before looking down. “Well, I wouldn’t say your get together is quite over yet,” said Shining. “Huh?” Flurry was confused by what her father just said. “Your mother and I had discussed something that we should told you before coming here, but things got in the way which made us forget.” “What do you mean?” The filly asked in confusion. “Come with us, little bug, and we’ll show you,” said Twilight as they walked out of the cinema with Flurry still looking confused as to what they’re on about. After leaving the cinema, Flurry saw they were heading back to her aunt’s castle which made her even more confused. “Huh? Auntie Twily’s castle?” She continued to walk with the others. They went inside and approached a bedroom door, that was next door to Twilight’s bedroom. Shining opened the door and smiled softly at his filly as she stared confusedly at him while walking in the bedroom. She then gasped in surprised and amazed to what she saw inside. Inside the bedroom was a bed with a pink sheet, a pink duvet and pillow with purple flowers all over. A purple rug on a light bluish floor, a cupboard with draws next to it along with a little makeup desk with a mirror on it and a mini chair next to the desk. There was also a toy box as well with Flurry’s two teddy bears on the bed. “Wow, Pipp, you did a brilliant job on the bedroom,” said Rarity in amaze, “How did you do it?” “Oh, it wasn’t just me,” said Pipp, “Izzy, Hitch, Sunny, Zipp and Misty helped, but most of the colours and design on the bed was Izzy’s idea. They don’t call her the Element of Creativity, you know.” Izzy zoomed towards Rarity and said, “And no Blockywockys stopped me creating this bedroom.” “Blockywockys?” Rarity was confused by what Izzy just said to her as she had never heard that word before. “Don’t ask. Just…just don’t,” said Zipp. Rarity wanted to ask, but then decided to take Zipp’s advice and just shrugged. Smolder shrugged at her friends and boyfriend as they didn’t know what Izzy was on about either. Sparky excited ran up to the chair and jumped onto it before looking at the mirror and started pulling silly faces at it. Hitch laughed while walking up to him and saying, “You really do like making funny faces at mirrors, don’t you, silly little dragon?” Sparky nodded his head at his father before going back to making silly faces at the mirror, only this, Hitch decided to join in and made silly faces at the mirror too. Flurry looked at the bedroom before smiling at her parents, aunt and brother and asking, “What is all this?” “Before your aunt told us about Sunny and her friends, we had a talk with her about you staying here for a week as a reward for the princess exams you’ve done so far,” said Shining, “She love for you to stay and have time off from your princess exams, and spend more time with our new friends, if you want to.” “Really?” Flurry asked happily to Twilight who was smiling at her to show her answer, even Oliver, Sunny and the others were smiling at her to show they love for her to stay and relax. Heck, even Sparky really wants her to stay a bit longer. Flurry can tell the smiles was to show her their answer. She couldn’t help but smile happily before giggling and went to jump happily on her bed while saying, “I do!” Sparky went to jump on the bed with Flurry as Hitch worriedly said, “I’ve just made the bed this morning!” He then decided to let it go as he chuckled before saying, “Never mind.” Oliver laughed while walking over to Hitch before saying, “Come on, Hitch, let her. I can tell she’s been waiting for something like this to happen.” Shining, Cadence, Amore and Twilight chuckled at the filly’s excitement as she bounced over to her father. Shining smiled at Flurry while saying, “You’re not my little baby anymore. Now I can see clearly, you’re my grown little filly, who wants to help others and will become the best princess I know you will become. And that…is all I want.” “Thanks, Dad. And thank you for letting me stay with Auntie Twily for a week. But, can I call you sometime?” “Of course, you can,” said Shining, “Just as long you behave for your aunt, and continue helping others, even if you do go into another film, but more importantly…have fun.” “I will, Dad,” said Flurry happily before hugging her father as he hugged her in return and happily. “Still got it,” he said quietly. Cadence, Twilight, Oliver and Amore joined in with the hug while everyone else watched with smiles on their faces. Suddenly, they all heard a loud burp that came from the kitchen. They left the bedroom and headed to the kitchen to see who made that loud burp. When they entered the kitchen, they saw the place was a mess and the fridge door was halfway open with some pieces of food lying on the floor and hanging from the fridge door. They then turned to the end bit of the table and saw Smolder lying on there with a huge belly as Lightning laid on her chest as she held him with both arms and gently rubbed his back. After Flurry said she would love to stay for a week, she and Lightning went off to the kitchen so the orange dragon can eat some food as she was getting hungry after journey through the desert with no food. Smolder saw the ponies and creatures staring at her as she said, “What? I did say no one stop me from eating all the food until my belly is the size of a barn after we got home.” Smolder let out another belch. “Excuse me,” she said while placing a hand on her mouth and her cheeks went bright red as she chuckled.
