Equestria, the land of freedom, rich for its beautiful sceneries and wonderful creatures that work together to bring peace and harmony everywhere.

The Everfree forest, a place where unnatural things happen such as plants, clouds, and etc. move on their own.

And here we see two befuddled ponies looking at their surroundings almost as if they just awoken from their deep slumber.

"... I'm dreaming, I have to be." The taller, older looking mare spoke as her eyes twitched just seeing everything.

"If you are, then we're both having the same dream, at the same time, almost as we're sharing the same dream." The shorter, much younger one replied back, also looking at the surroundings with a mix of surprise and anticipation in her eyes.

The taller mare slowly looked at the young one and made her feel uneasy just looking at her.

"...is that you Julian?" She asked the younger one, which startled the tiny pony a bit before looking at the older one with her rose colored eyes with a raised eyebrow.

"And you must be Cale?" Julian didn't answer the question but instead replied by asking her own question to the older pony.

Cale didn't answer, which answered Julian's question. Both sighed in with the older one being a more tired tone unlike the younger one being a bit more of a relief.

Cale was first to talk, "okay, we are both horses, or rather, ponies. And we both are stuck in what seems like a dark, gloomy feeling, unnatural forest with what seems to have no way out, correct?"

"Yes, that's right." Julian nodded in confirmation after rechecking their surroundings again.

"We're both ponies."

"Uh huh."

"Stuck in what seems to be a very dangerous place."

"Just get to the point, big bro."

"Right..." Cale took a deep breath, before she started exclaiming at her little sister rather loudly, "Why here of all the multiverse..!"

"Hey hey, stop right there bro." Julian took a hoof up, stopping her brother-turned-mare from continuing, "this place is much better than anywhere else in the vast majority of the entire multiverse, this place is full of harmony and peace! Ain't that cool?"

Cale didn't reply but nodded in agreement, yeah, this place is much better rather than ending up in a universe full of… deadly surprises.

"But let's put that thought aside for a bit, how do I look? Aren't I beautiful?" Julian took a spin as she admired her light lime colored fur with her rose red color short mane and long tail, she then looked at her brother turned sister.

"You're as ugly as before, it seems."

"Hey! Well, why don't you look at yourself, black and white color scheme like you're some kind of an emo kid!" She pointed at Cale's new body, which made Cale looked at her fur and hair.

And as Julian's described it, she does look like an emo, black short mane with a long tail with the same color, white colored fur and unlike Julian's, her body seems to be more fluff than usual.

Cale frowned, not because of what was just described, but because of a fact she didn't realize much earlier.

She is a girl.

"I feel like Fate is mocking me by making me a girl..." She frowned even more when she heard her little sister trying to hold her laugh.

"This is a bit better than whatever your new form looks like y'know, I'm taller and, uh, prettier?” She frowned more when her little sister was laughing at her loudy now.

“Atleast I don't stand out too much, but you? Oh my, I wanna see how much you can handle before locking yourself in a room, again.” Julian countered, making Cale groaned in frustration before giving up, Cale then started to look around.

"Alright, OC, what should we do now? You watched the show before and I can barely remember any of these places.” Julian frowned at the nickname, making Cale slightly grin before it disappeared. Julian just sighed before replying back.

"Well... It's really simple, we'll just have to find a way out of the Everfree forest and find a way to locate ponyville and find a way to live there so we can find a way to relax."

"That's too many ‘find a way’."

"Stop complaining, let's go."

"Do you even know where we are and how to find the right path?" Julian paused before looking around again, there wasn't anything that clue them a path but staying wouldn't make their chances at escaping higher.

"Well, uh... We're clearly in the everfree forest, but I don't know which part of the forest we're currently in, but we can't just stay right? The chances for us to escape this forest is higher when wandering right?

"Or get lower and lower chance of finding help..." Cale mumbled under her breath before reluctantly agreeing to her idea.

Julian just rolled her eyes, shaking her head before muttering, "even in this new life, you're just as lazy as before." They then started to move, in hope of finding the exit out of the forest.

They've been walking for hours now and yet, they're still not in a state of hunger, they've been distracting eachother by talking about random topics while walking in hope to find some trails out of these woods.

"That's not what i said, i said i fell down-"

"No, i literally saw you jump in a puddle of mud thinking it's some kind of a portal to another world."

"Uh- eh, well atleast I'm not the idiot who left their phone always open thinking some digital hand will come out and drag them to another world!"

"Atleast mine made some sense."

"That's not- how does that make sen-?!"

"Hold that thought." Cale put a hoof on Julian's mouth, which the latter quickly swatted it away, Cale then pointed at the path towards them.

"I can hear the sound of a river over there." They hurried over to check it out, and it turns out what she said was true, a river can be seen Infront of them with the waves going elegantly, on the other side, a path can be seen.

Cale looked around, trying to find if there is some kind of a bridge that'll let them cross over.

"No bridge in sight..." Cale muttered while narrowing her eyes, she then sighed before sitting down, looking at her little sister.

"Alright, OC, any kind of plans you got thinking 'bout?" She asked as Julian groaned at the nickname but replied anyway.

"Well... No, but I'm pretty sure I saw this exact place in the show, to be precise, at some part in episode one or two..." She stared at the river, trying to remember the exact scene from the show.

"Great, now that you mentioned it, what episode are we currently in?" Cale looked up in the sky and the big round star itself which nighttime is nearing.

"I don't know, we are at the Everfree forest, there really aren't that many hints that show which timeline we're currently in." Julian replied as she tried to reach the water with her tiny hoof, in which she was only able to touch some tiny bit of water.

Julian frowned at the length of her tiny body before adding more to say, "the only clue we can have is at night time to see if the mare on the moon is still, well, on the moon."

"If I remember correctly, the moon is supposed to have the face of a pony, right?”

"Only at the first and second episode since twilight and her friends save her from eternal darkness."

"Ah, okay... So if the moon mare face isn't up there..."

"Then we are clearly not at the first episode nor the second one. But, if the paint is still up there..." Julian made a hissing while looking at the uncomfortable noise.

"Yeah... I'm not dealing with that, let's just get out of here and just leave it up to the main characters to do their job." Cale's ear subconscious started to rise up as if she's starting to think something, Julian saw it but didn't quite get it as she started to ask her big brother-turned-mare a question.

"Yup, so I'll ask you this, do you know how to swim, big bro or big sis?" Julian looked at her brother who was sitting rather lazily, trying to find some comfort.

Cale just looked at her with a mix of lazy and deadpan look, didn't even say anything as the silence already answered Julian's question. Julian just sighed while looking down.

"I know, I'm just asking..."

"I'll ask the same question to you too."

She looked up before starting to exclaim, "Well of course I can! I'm not lazy like you!" She grinned rather big before looking at her brother-now-sister rolling her eyes.

"Your human form, maybe, but now?" Julian's grin faltered a bit before looking at her own body.

"Well... Walking in all four was easy to do, so... maybe?" Cale just rolled her eyes.

"I rather not see my dumb sister die like a dumbass."

"Hey!" Julian glared at her careless and nonchalant sister who just continues to sit comfortably while she's here looking for ways to get across the river.

Her older sister just ignored her and instead said, "well, it's going to get dark soon, let's just make a shelter somewhere." Cale got up, almost forgot she's no longer human and stumbled a bit before going all four, she shrugged before entering the forest again.

"Hey! Where are you going?!" Julian quickly followed her sister.

"If i remember correctly, there is some hidden castle that used to be ruled by the princesses, let's just find that and camp there."

"Oh, I guess you remember some parts of the show." She commented which her older sister just nodded.

"Of course, I used to be a fan, or a brony is what you fandom now call it." He replied at her little sister which she giggled a bit at the reply.

It's been a while and they are still somehow not hungry, they been traversing the area, with Julian's more but still limited knowledge of the area and Cale's expert at stealthiness to avoid some dangerous creatures lurking around the forest they finally made their way to the bridge which on the other side is the castle of the sisters is seen.

"Finally, after nearly getting caught by that weird lion, we finally reach this place."

"It's a manticore, actually."

"Shut up, let's just go."

Infront of them is a wooden bridge, looking like it's gonna break any moment now.

"Welp, you go first sis." Cale pushed her little sister in front, which she flinched at because she didn't expect it.

"What?! You want me to die?!" She frantically shouted at her older sister who looked at her with her usual lazy look.

"You got wings, you'll be okay." She pointed at the two pair wings at Julian's side, which she groaned.

"What about you? Can't you just use levitation magic with that horn of yours?" She pointed at Cale's head, the latter froze.

"I have a horn?" Upon reaching her head, she felt a bit of a bump, which confirmed that she does, indeed, have a horn.

Julian blinked, "you didn't know?" Which cale's response was a shrug.

"No… but, uh, I still can't use magic yet, so... Uh, you're smaller, a lot less heavier than me, meaning the chances for the bridge to fall is minimal at best, you'll be safe, and if I learned a lot of things on the internet, fear can make you learn how to fly fast if you fell down." Cale yapped which Julian had some hard time understanding.

"I... What? Y-you were never good at social speaking, dear brother." Cale's eye twitched a bit before just saying,

"Just go... I'll save you somehow if you fail this little task, I'll follow after you're done." Upon seeing Cale's glare, which translates to stubbornness, Julian had no choice but be the first to cross the wavy bridge.

Upon just putting her hoof on it, a plank broke, almost making her lose balance. She quickly looked back at her older sister in slight panic.

Cale just put a hoof up, upon seeing Julian's confused look, she puts up another hoof up, Julian can only translate the gesture as a thumbs up in reassurance, which didn't really do anything.

Sighing, Julian took another step and the plank held on, it didn't break, she took another step, and another, she repeated this process until she was on the other side.

Julian collapsed on the ground, just breathing heavily.

"Good job sis! I knew you could do it!" Her older sister shouted from the other side which just made her hissed in frustration.

"Your turn now, idiot!" Cale froze, before taking a deep breath and stepped in.

Step... Step, another step.. and another, did i forget to mention that he took another step? And another.

She was almost at the end, Julian held her breath as Cale took another step on another plank, it broke which made the both flinched but it wasn't enough to destroy the bridge, both sighed in relief as Cale finally made it to the other side.

"Y'know... If my plan isn't going to work, we will actually die here because I'm not going through that again." She commented as she sat down to relax, Julian raised an eyebrow.

"You made a plan?"

Cale chuckled before closing her eyes, "well, no, it's more like I'm relying on Fate for this to happen."

"What are you talking about?"

"Just wait, I just hope what I wanted to happen is going to happen." Julian sighed as her big sister wasn't going to explain it at all.

"Let's head to the castle now, shall we?" The day was going to end soon and night was about to begin.

After walking a bit, they finally reach the castle, which they comment about it being bigger than they imagine or seen in the show.

They finally settled in, making a fire to warm when night rises.

The day finally sets out and the moon is starting to rise up and what they see is...

"The mare on the moon..." Julian said as she sees the moon still has the black paint of a mare, which confirmed they're here before the first episode, she looks at it with hidden anticipation.

Cale just smiled for an unknown reason.

"Step one of the plan, complete." She muttered, Julian heard her mutter but didn't understand any of it, so she just let it go for now.

They then spend their night talking about random topics again, Cale doesn't seem to want Julian to be sleeping which she wasn't complaining about since both of them weren't that tired yet..

Cale groaned, "for the last time... I didn't know!" Julian rolled her eyes.

"If you didn't know, then how did you find it?! I swear I hid it at the most hidden spot possible."

"... And your 'hidden spot' happens to be under my cabinet?"

"Of course! You don't even bother checking it down the-" the air suddenly got cold, both ponies felt it and had to check the moon again.

The painting was gone, it was now only the white moon.

"Welp... Looks like Fate just saved us." Cale commented as she started to get up and removed the fire.

"W-wait what- this was your plan?! And what do you mean Fate saved us?! This is dangerous! We're at the danger zone, oh my fu-" She panicked before following her older sister.

"Well, yeah, if the show goes the way it is, luna's gonna come here, those six are gonna come in, save luna, and then they are gonna save us, all without us doing the hard work, awesome plan, am i right?"

"... That is the most riskiest and stupidest plan ever y'know."

"Eh, it'll turn out the best, y'know." Cale shrugged before Julian started stuttering.

"B-but, what if-" she was then cut off by her older sister.

"Shut up, don't think about the what ifs, just think about the original plot." That calmed her a bit

"You're right, let's just call dow-" she, again, was cut off by an ominous feeling going around them, looking everywhere, they could see clouds of purple smoke started to appear, both started to pale and bolted out of the castle.

When suddenly both were stopped, they couldn't move at all, it was as if magic was at play, both of them gulped as both of them were forced to turn around by magic and can see a single individual.

Nightmare moon.

'ah shit.' was the only thing on both of their mind right now.
