Discord: the pretty pony princess
Twilight walked through Ponyville intending to find Discord and ask him a few questions.
She didn't know where exactly he lived, she never went to his place before. He usually just shows up whenever he feels like it or if he is summoned for important matters.
None the less, she walked until she reached a bench in the middle of Ponyville park, and promptly sat down in ponderation......
She sat there for a couple minutes, thinking about if she should call out to him, hoping he'd be around listening, or to just wait and see if he shows up on his own accord....
And as if the universe itself responded to her thoughts, she heard a pop beside her....
"You wanted to have a chat Mrs. Sparkle?"
Twilight turned to see Discord beside her, dressed in a business suit like he was attending a very important meeting.
"I did, and its a question that's been on my mind for quite a while....."
"Well, what's the puzzler that's dancing around in that little think tank of yours?"
"You remember the royal wedding in Canterlot?......"

"Well of course I do! I apologized didn't I? I thought we left that whole hiccup in the past."
"Of course we did! And I'm not trying to shame you for it either! There's just one thing I don't understand....."
"And that is?....."
"Why did you choose to impersonate Cadance as your plan of all things?"
"Why? Well to tell you the truth Twilight, it wasn't really MY plan."
"It wasn't?"
"You see, Chrysalis and the changelings actually had the idea first for her to impersonate the bride so she could do that icky love draining thing to the groom, so that she would become more powerful, and allow her army to take over the capital. I overheard some changeling scouts scheming about it in my garden, and their bickering is what allowed me to escape."
"So that's how you got out...... But, why did you try to steal her plan instead of coming up with something else? Impersonating someone else isn't a very chaotic thing to do....."
"Well, I thought about putting Shining Armor into a coma, but that just didn't seem chaotic enough either.... Truth be told Twilight, while I don't do it regular, sometimes I decide to pose as others if it is a benefit to me. If it serves my goals in the long run."
"Ok.... I guess that makes sense in your warped twisted view..... But, why Cadance? Why didn't you impersonate my brother? He would have been too weak to hold up the shield if he was imprisoned and not her......"
"Sigh..... Twilight, can I be personal with you for a moment?"
"Sure?......"
"I've always wanted to be a princess."
..............
"You?"
"Yes! Doesn't everyone have weird dreams?"
"YOU want to be a princess?..... Well, what's stopping you from at least putting on a crown and presenting yourself as one?"
"Because most ponies wouldn't accept someone like me to be a princess, if it's not because I'm the opposite gender then most likely because I'm not a pony. I mean why should it matter if I don't walk on all fours or have a portable baby canon?"
"But aren't you the lord of chaos and disharmony? Aren't you able to switch your gender at will?"
"Well technically yes, but truth be told this is my natural form. Every spirit has a default form that they naturally inhabit to represent their virtues, and this one is the one I inhabit as the spirit of chaos."
he snapped his fingers, and he suddenly gained a feminine body type and voice.
"I can always change this form into whatever shape I desire,"
She snapped her fingers again and turned back into a male.
"But this will always be my default body, as it is the core of who I really am. When you became a princess and my plunderseeds started attacking, I made fun of your promotion not just because I like to mess around with you like I always do, but because I felt a little..... Jealous....."
"Discord? Jealous of me? Get out of here."
"It just seemed like everypony whose everyPONY is becoming a princess these days.... And I guess I just felt left out....."
"Discord...... I had no idea you felt that way....."
"When I knew Shining Armor was your brother, explaining how he was able to cancel my power, and knowing of Chrysalis's plan, I saw a window of opportunity and I took it."
"You wanted to feel like a princess?......"
"Indeed, and it was nice while it lasted. But I could never be the princess of love, that's why I acted so unlike her when I encountered you. I knew that since you knew Cadance so well, you would always be able to tell that I wasn't really her. So I tried to be as subtle as possible around you."
"So you intentionally gave me vague hints and clues? Why?....."
"I knew that if I did a good job presenting myself as Cadance, you would believe that I actually WAS Cadance, and that she just turned 'evil'. I wanted you to see me Discord your brother, because I knew you would try to save him without evidence during the rehearsal, allowing everyone to turn their backs on you and letting me banish you to the caves without suspicion."
"So you did all of that just to get rid of me because you knew I was the only threat to your plans?"
"Exactly, my one fatal flaw was that I didn't let you go after you were banned from the wedding, as I already gaslighted you into believing I was just stressed and completely innocent. I sent you straight to the real Cadance, and you two were able to escape and get past my guards."
"But...... I thought you sent me down there for a different reason..... I thought you taunted me through the crystals because you knew that if I was pressured enough if I saw the real Cadance, I would......"
"Oh my! NO! I would NEVER do something so horrendous! If you actually did that I don't know how I could ever live with myself, I'm the spirit of chaos! Not DEATH."
"That is true.... But you still didn't give us any food or water when you sent us down there."
"I guess I was just too reckless when I did that that I didn't think to put food down there, when I threatened Cadance to send her back there without those requirements, I was bluffing to get her to back away. I only intended to keep you down there long enough for me to get my powers back, then when you did make it out hide the elements away forever where you could never find them if you rekindled your friendship with your friends."
"You just never accounted for my brother and my foal sitter to create a new element of harmony powerful enough to imprison you......"
"Yes...... And that is where my plan failed....."
"Discord..... If you want to be a princess, why didn't you just ask Celestia? I'm sure she could've given you a fulfilling role."
"I just assumed that after all I did in the past she wouldn't even dream of it, so I just kept these thoughts to myself..... Until you decided to have this little chit chat."

"I could always make you a princess, if you would really like that....."
Discord stared at Twilight, as he slowly gave a warm smile.....
"That's quite lovely Princess Twilight, but I think I'm happy with my position as the LORD of chaos, princess in that title would sound..... Average......"
Twilight lightly chuckled.
"If you say so."
Discord begun to snap his fingers to leave.
"Just one more question."
"Yes?"
"Did you REALLY sleep with my brother?"
.......................
"Twi, you KNOW I was only joking when I bought that up, just don't tell Kay-Kay that."
Discord winked at Twilight, as she just rolled her eyes in response.
As Discord snapped his fingers and disappeared, Twilight stared at where he was with a gentle smile on her face.......
