High above the sleeping town of Ponyville and all across Equestria, Luna’s beautiful moon and stars shone brightly, their glory so utterly perfect in the absence of the Sun as that is the time when they can be at their greatest and grandest.
The air was cool and fresh, like always, and the soft song of a few night birds could be heard if somebody/pony was up and out to hear their singing. A few ponies were out, in fact, either up to simple mischief or camping outside with friends and family members.
For example, a trio of certain fillies were out right now trying to figure out if they could get camping Cutie Marks!
Halfway across the main section of the comforting little city, near the very center of it in fact, was the great Golden Oak Library, a magical and historic building that defied the standard rules of reality by being so much larger on the inside than on the outside and was the home of none other than Twilight Sparkle, the young and exceptionally talented Unicorn who was both the personal student of the immortal Princess Celestia and the one and only bearer of the fabled Element of Magic.
Through the library home, up the stairs and through the hall and decorated hallway, the sound of soft giggling and shuffling of bedsheets was heard. Soon the sounds ceased, and in this bedroom’s large soft fluffy violet bed with one big pillow for them both were two special mares snuggled up together, Rainbow Dash sitting up and leaning with her back to the pillow and holding Twilight in her front legs/arms. They both lay there with contented smiles on their faces, their hearts beating as one in perfect sync as they both read from the same book, Daring Do and the Philosophers Silver Stone.
The two young mares had l built a truly close friendship since they’d first met that day when Twilight had arrived in Ponyville, but in recent months things had started to get a little more… interesting, between them. Twilight could never be sure about when “they” had started to become a thing, and it was both a fun habit trying to figure it out and a source of trouble as she kept fearing that she was starting to become tardy if she couldn’t even decide on when it was that she’d really felt differently about Rainbow Dash.
For her part, Rainbow Dash didn’t really care less about whether or not she knew when she’d first developed these feelings for her favorite egghead. All she knew was that she had an attraction towards her, a sincere one, and that was all she cared about!
Besides, she herself clearly did remember when she’d caught these feelings, anyway…
At the moment they were sharing Twilight’s bed, a nice and rare chance to be able to spend more time together like this without having to worry about Spike(who was having a sleepover with Rarity and Sweetie Bell) or anypony finding them by accident.
The illusion spell that Twilight had cast on the windows also ensured that nopony would able to see inside even if they pressed their face up against the glass, which meant that the two mares could spend the night together here and Rainbow Dash would only have to leave in the morning when Celestia was raising the Sun.
But as time passed and the pages were slowly moving, the Pegasus found Twilight’s ears to be looking increasingly delectable by the second.
Sure, it was nice and all that stuff to simply cuddle and enjoy time together quietly and peacefully, don’t get her wrong. But Rainbow Dash was ultimately a pony of action, and she hadn’t been able to spend much time with HER Twilight in the last few days due to Pinkie and Rarity both starting to get increasingly and alarmingly suspicious and trying to sneak around to investigate.
Ipso facto, thusly and ergo, the amount of patience she had involving her irresistibly beautiful and sweet-smelling secret fillyfriend was simply too low for her to contain herself with being this close and intimate for so long.
And so, her eyes slowly closed as she moved her head and mouth gently and began to make her intentions perfectly clear.
“Rainbow… mmm, come on Dash, you know that’s not fair…”
Twilight giggled, flicking her ear while her bedmate continued to sniff it affectionately and occasionally use her lips and teeth to provide a little too much sensation as the lavender Unicorn tried to immerse herself in the fascinating tale of… what was it again? Oh wait, it was the latest copy of Derring Do, right?
“Hmm? Can’t hear ya, Twi.”
The Pegasus mumbled with a grin as she continued to nuzzle Twilight’s head and ear again. To be perfectly honest, Twilight couldn’t really blame her for being so affectionate. They always had to be on their hooftips lest somepony just randomly stumble upon their current location, or someone in general like Spike or… anyone, really. And this WAS the first time this week that they’d been able to have some time together like this, and it WAS already the weekend, so…
Ah, the price they had to pay to maintain their secret. It was worth every second, if only for the sheer excitement it brought when they passed another day without anypony having figured it out yet!
“Come on Dashie, let’s just finish this chapter and then we can see whose lips taste better.”
“Mmmm, what? Still can’t hear ya, Twi…”
Rainbow chuckled again as she now began to kiss the back of Twilight’s head and both her ears, quickly alternating between each one and adding a little bit of saliva as well. Sweet Celestia, Dash really was a little more frisky tonight than usual, even though they had started out quite self-controlled!
The Unicorn closed her eyes and briefly felt the urge to potentially just use her Magic to stop Rainbow from doing anything else. After all, they WERE trying to read the book together, right? But at the same time, she felt the warmth coursing through her entire body, the thumping of her own heart, and the rapidly increasing pull to just stop trying to deny her own desires and just go with it.
Indeed, she too wanted to indulge in her own body’s natural desire when in the same bed as the mare she undoubtedly had such a deep connection with in more ways than one, and was now also starting to wonder just why exactly she was trying to finish a chapter in a book they could each read whenever they wanted rather, than do what was long overdue?
Wait, was Dash snogging the right side of her face, and sucking on her ear right now?!?
This was the boulder that mercilessly obliterated the spine of self-control, and now the Unicorn turned her head and met those kisses with her own.

Yeah I know, it was rushed and I’m sorry. Truly. But the old saying goes something like, “Someone who experiences something is the best at being able to put it down in writing” or something like that. Basically, it states that we’ve to EXPERIENCE something for ourselves to best be able to describe in it in a story… and personally, I’ve yet to have a relationship like that at all in my life, even though I actually AM an adult. Sorry, I’ll try to improve in other ways in the future.
