Author's Note
I hope you all enjoy this first chapter of Infamous and I like to know if you were a conduit, what kind of powers would you like to have?
Chapter 1: The Beginning
It seemed like a beautiful day in the city of Camelot City as Flash Sentry was at the park while sitting on a bench. He had his guitar out as he strummed away on it while humming to himself. "You are my Equestria Girls~." Flash hummed as he thought about the lyrics. "I hope that doesn't sound weird. Should I go with 'my' or 'our'?" He questioned while thinking about the lyrics. Far in the distance just outside the city, armed vehicles were driving down the mountains as they seemed to be carrying something very important or dangerous.
Back at the city, flash was walking alone with his guitar in his guitar case as he was thinking to himself. "I know this song is for Sunset and the girls, but I really don't want to sound like I'm trying to make them mine or anything weird like that." He said it to himself with a focused look. Back to the armed vehicles logo with a H.S.D.F. was shined on the side as they continued to drive on.
Flash soon came out of Sugar Cube Corner with an ice cream cone before he bumped into a familiar violet girl with Indigo hair and glasses that made him spill his ice cream on his shirt.
“Oh my gosh, Flash I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you there." She exclaimed with a worried tone. "Are you okay?“
"I'm fine, but we've got to stop bumping into each other like this, Twilight." He said while wiping the ice cream off his shirt only for him to accidentally drop his guitar case as it opened up and his music sheets fell out. "Oh man!" He quickly kneeled it down to try and gather each of the papers.
"Oh, here, let me help!" Twilight offered as she helped him gather the music sheets, but noticed the lyrics written on them. "What is this?" “ Oh this, Flash quickly blushed before taking back the music sheet.
"It's nothing!" He exclaimed. "It's just something I'm working on for you and the girls, it's to say thanks about what you've done for us and the town."
“Really?" Twilight asked with a smile. "That's very nice of you, Flash.“ As Twilight helps Flash clean up back with armed vehicles one of them starts to glow blue and gives out sparks.
Back in the city, Flash and Twilight were walking together as they were heading towards their school. "Sorry if I ruined your surprise for me and the girls." Twilight apologized.
"It's fine, besides it's not finished yet," Flash mentioned as he scratched the back of his head. "I'm still trying to figure out the lyrics." Then suddenly they heard a police siren behind them before it came up and parked next to them. Then a man with dark orange skin and light blue hair stepped out with another man with pure white skin and dark blue hair. "Dad, what are you doing here?"
“Just making sure my favorite son gets to school on time." Flash's father said with a firm tone.
"And I see you're hanging with my sister. The other police officer said with a look towards Flash.
Twilight then looked at Flash with a surprised look. “You’re Flash’s dad is a police officer like my brother, Shining Armor? She asked him.
"Yes, he is, and also the chief of police, which by the way we were heading to school. Flash told his dad before he looked back at Twilight. "And I didn't know your brother was a police officer."
Twilight smiled sheepishly and said. "Hehe, you never asked.“
"So, this is the girl you said you went to the dance with?" Flash's dad asked with a smug smile, which made Flash blush before he offered a handshake to Twilight. "I'm Trail Blazer, Flash's father."
“I’m Twilight Sparkle, it’s nice to meet you, sir but I'm not the same girl he went to the dance of the Fall Formal." She mentioned.
"Really? Because he described the girl he likes very much as indigo hair, violet skin, and has a talking dog in her backpack." Trail mentioned before turning her around and unzipping her backpack to reveal her pet dog, Spike inside it. "You really fit the description."
“Well yes, but the other Twilight has her hair down and doesn't wear glasses," Twilight explained before she looked at her brother. "And Shining, it's not what you think between me and him. I told you that I have a boyfriend and it's not Flash."
“I know I’m just giving it a hard time, hahaha." Shining laughed sarcastically. "Now both of you get to school and leave Spike with me so I can take him home, you know you're not allowed to have pets at school." Twilight gives Shining her dog Spike and they were about to head off to school before Trail stood in front of them.
"And we're going to drive you both to school, just to be sure." He said as Flash let out a groan.
"Is this really necessary?!" He complained before he noticed something in the distance.
"Of course it is, because I do not want you to be slacking off. Trail replying as Twilight noticed the same thing in the distance.
“Um, Mister Trail sir.” Twilight spoke to Flash’s dad and he answered back just as Shining Armor wondered what they were looking at before he saw it too.
“What?” Trail asked.
“Um, Trucks“ She pointed behind them as he turned and saw the armed trucks heading their way. Just as they were getting close, one of the armored trucks exploded with blue electricity which caused the two officers to quickly push the two teams out of the way before they drove out of the way when the armored truck behind the first one crashed into each other. Then the armored trucks suddenly lost control, crashed into some cars, and flipped over.
Twilight and Flash stood up as they then saw six people in orange jumpsuits, and strange devices on their arms started climbing out of the second truck before they ran away. "Who…who were they?" Spike asked when they saw those people run just as Shining and Trail came up to the teens.
"You both okay?" Shining ask with concern.
"We're fine, but who were those guys running away from here? Flash asked while pointing to where the people ran off to.
"I don’t know but We’re going to go after those six you two stay here!" Trail shouted before he gestured to Shining to follow. "Follow me, and kids, stay out of trouble!" The two police officers ran after the six people ran off to. Just as they were far enough, Flash and Twilight heard groaning coming from one of the trucks as they saw a man wearing an orange jumpsuit but without the strange devices on his arms on the ground. He had bright blue skin and navy blue hair as he had it shaved on the side to make it look like lightning bolts.
“Help! Is anyone there?! Help! I'm stuck and I think the truck’s gonna explode!" He called out as both Twilight and Flash quickly rushed over to him. Flash lifted up the debris as much as he could before Twilight pulled the man out. The man coughed a bit as he slowly got up. "Thanks, kids, I thought I was going to die…"
"You're welcome but can you tell us who you are and what just happened? Flash asked the man just as Shining and his father came back. "Dad!"
"Oh shit, cops!" The man grunted before he quickly wrapped his arm around Twilight's throat as she screamed in fright. "Stay back!" Trail and Shining quickly pulled out their guns and pointed them at him as Flash stepped back from him. "Just stay back, I don't want any trouble!"
"If you don't let go of my sister in about three seconds you're going to have a lot more trouble!" Shining threatened with an angry tone before the man noticed some power lines above him and extended his hand out. They then saw him absorb electricity from the power lines as they were shocked by what they just saw. "How the hell did he do that?!"
"Damn it, he's a Bio-Terrorist!" Trail exclaimed before the man shot a ball of electricity at them as they quickly moved out of the way.
"No!" Flash exclaimed before he grabbed the man by the arm but something happened when he did. They both felt their skins tingle as electricity was transferred from the man to Flash all of the sudden. Flash then started to see his vision becoming blurry as flashes of images popped into his head before the truck exploded.
Flash suddenly regained Consciousness as he held his head in pain before noticing he was alone. "Twilight, officer armor, dad?!" He called out as he stood up and saw a trail of destruction leading away from the crash and heading towards his school. "What just happened when I touched that guy?" When Flash was about to walk, his body suddenly zoomed really fast in blue sparks covering it before he stopped suddenly with a shocked look. "What the hell was that?!" He tried walking again but got the same results as he went in a different direction before he stopped again. "What's… What's happening to me?!"
He then tried to move again, only to have the same result as he was heading towards a building. "Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!" He shouted as he could barely control his body before he finally stopped when he nearly crashed into the building. "Oh god… I can't be… there's no way…" Then Spike came up behind Flash and yielded out to him.
“Flash, you gotta help me!" Spike exclaimed with a worried look. "Twilight, Shining, and your dad are trapped under power lines! They were chasing that guy after you passed out and he shot down a power line to slow them down!”
"Okay, just give me a minute to get my bearings." Flash breathed before he took a deep breath and let out a sigh. "Okay, just focus…" As he focuses he starts running normally and not zooming all over the place and follows Spike to where Twilight Shining and his dad were trapped under a destroyed powerline. "Dad, are you okay?!
"Son?!" Trail called out as Twilight and Shining tried to lift the powerline off of them. "Yeah, we're okay but my legs are stuck and we can't get out!"
"My geode fell off when this thing fell on us!" Twilight shouted. "Help us!"
“Hold on, I'm going to try and lift this thing up.” Flash ran up to the pole of the powerline and started to lift with all he’s got but some of the loose cables that were shooting out electricity as they saw him began to absorb it. Flash then noticed electricity sparking in his hands as he lifted the pole and grew worried. "No, nonononononono!!!"
Trail saw this and asked Flash with a worried voice. “Son? What’s happening to you?!” Flash didn't answer as a burst of electricity blew the powerline pole over to the other side of the street as Flash stumbled back in a panic.
"Flash… you just…just like…" Twilight struggled to find the words of what they just witnessed as Flash looked like he was about to have a panic attack.
"I'm… I'm one of them…" Flash said before his father quickly embraced him.
”No! No, you are not, you're my son, and we’re going to find a way to fix this.” Trail whispered as Flash hugged his dad for a minute when Spike came up to Twilight with a geode in his mouth. She took it back and put it back on just before she and Shining went over to him.
"Flash, I know you're worried but it's going to be okay." She told him with a soft tone. "Me and the girls, and everyone at school will have your back." Flash smiled at Twilight until they heard a girl screaming.
“Officers! Officers!... Help Bio-terrorist at the School six girls trapped inside! “ She screamed out in terror before Shining came up to her and spoke to her.
"Madam, please slow down and start from the beginning." He asked her.
"Okay, there's a Bio-Terrorist at Canterlot High and it started a fire." The girl told them. "Sunset and the rest of the Rainbooms are still inside and any way in is blocked. There's no way in or out." The four quickly followed the girl towards the school as every student and teacher were outside, including Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna. They saw smoke coming from the school as everyone was talking to each other with worried tones.
"Oh no, the girls can handle Equestrian magic, but they never faced a conduit before." Twilight whispered to Flash with a worried tone. "How are we going to get in to help?" Flash looked around before he noticed the power lines connecting to the buildings and over to the school. He then looked at his hand which let out a couple of sparks as an idea popped in his head, but it also meant people were going to see.
He didn't care as he needed to save Sunset and the girls and fast. He quickly went over to the power lines as he noticed electricity was coming off of it when he got near it. He then touched the power lines and focused before his body turned into electricity and went up the power lines before landing on top of the building connected to it. Everyone saw this as they were shocked to see what Flash had done before Flash looked at his father who nodded towards him. Trail and Shining then started to try and calm everyone down as Flash did that little trick again and traveled along the power lines and over to another building.
"Okay…you got this, Flash. You got this." He said to himself before he traveled on the last power line over to the school, only to be flung up in the air when he reached the end of it as he was over the school library and crashed through the skylight. He landed in the library and stood back up. "I'm surprised that it didn't hurt when I landed." He said to himself before he saw the fire started to spread. "Oh man, got to find the girls and fast. Sunset, Applejack, Fluttershy, girls, where are you?!" He called out.
Flash went to a door covered in burning embers of wood and stone. He saw no way of moving any of the debris before he saw a metal bat on the floor and quickly picked it up. He then saw the electricity flow into the bat before he swung it and destroyed the debris blocking the door. "Okay, I can work with this." In the next room down the hall, he heard the man and the girls were in a stand still inside. "The lunchroom!" He quickly ran down the hall as he used the electric bat to destroy any debris in his way while making his way towards the lunchroom.
The man talked to the girls while keeping his one hand full of electricity pointing at them.
“Look I don’t want any trouble, I just wanted to create a diversion before the H.S.D.F. get here!" He told the girls. "Now let me just help you out of here!"
"Stay away from us!" Sunset demanded as she and the girls stepped back from him. "We don't want to get electrocuted from you!"
Applejack slowly walked up and spoke to him. “And we don’t want to fight you, partner.” She told him. "So ya better back off."
"Damn it, I'm trying to help you girls!" The man shouted before Flash burst into the lunchroom with the bat. "You're still alive?!"
"Flash, what are you doing here?!" Rainbow asked in shock before Flash glared at the man and held up his fist, which let out a few electric sparks.
“You did this to me!” He exclaimed as the man and the girls were shocked by this.
“Holy… You’re a Conduit too?!” The man asked Flash in shock.
"Flash, darling, what happened to you?" Rarity asked with concern.
"You girls get out of here!" Flash told as he glared at the man in front of him. "I'll handle this guy!"
Rainbow shouted. “No way we’re not leaving you here alone with this creep!“
"Just go!" Flash shouted at them as a few sparks came off of his arms.
Pinkie Pie agreed easily and said, “Okey dokey lookiy…" She and the rest of the girls started to head out while Fluttershy looked back with a concerned look. With them gone, it was only just Flash and the man, the Conduit or Bio-Terrorist as people would call him.
“No way I’m going back to Moon Gate Tower!" The man shouted as he used his ability to quickly move across the lunchroom.
"You're not going anywhere until you fix what you did to me!" Flash shouted as the man used his electricity to lift up a few of the tables and throw them at Flash. Flash used the Bat to knock the tables away before charging at the man and getting a few swings at him.
The Man got knocked to the ground as he tried to stand up Flash grabbed his arms and electricity started sparking out everywhere.
"I didn't do anything to you!" The man shouted as he moved across the room. "You were probably already like this and didn't even know it! That means she'll come for you too when she finds out!" When Flash touched the man’s hands, he stared to see something before he started seeing memories of this man and everything he went through.
"I was just a normal electrician, doing my job." Flash heard his voice as he saw the man wearing an electrician suit while working at a power plant. '"Sparks, the guy you would never expect to be a thief until a bunch of gang members kidnapped me and everything changed." The memory changed when a bunch of guys grabbed Sparks and threw him into a van. He was then forced to work with him as taking care of any electricity in banks or rich people's homes. "Then everything changed for better, well for me when my Powers just showed up out of the blue." Another memory showed Sparks getting his powers as the gang members were frightened of him.
"Sometimes in life, you just have to wait for the golden opportunity to come to you." Sparks had a grin on his face as he used his powers to do more heists. "I thought it was on top of the world until she showed up and took me away." As Sparks walked out of the bank vault he saw a woman with black skin and green hair dressed in a dark green suit and by her side were men dressed in black and blue armor with a H.S.D.F. logo on their backs. The next thing Flash saw was icicles forming around sparks as he had a frightened look on his face.
"I never thought that the H.S.D.F. would come after a guy like me." Flash then saw Sparks and six other people being locked up in some sort of power made of ice and metal. "They put us in a very special place for people like me. They found a way to bind us up so we couldn't use our powers." Sparks looked down with a sad look at the strange metal cuffs on his hands before he was placed in a chair with a few armed guards around him. "That meant they had to feed us, washers, even wipe goddamn asses. That's no way for anyone to live, having powers or not." Flash then saw Sparks strapped to a table as some sort of device with needles and Machinery was above his head. "They subjected what they like to prefer as 'tests', just to see how I work and everything. It was like hell."
Flash then saw Sparks smiling and talking to the doctors and watched them leave the room to talk in private. "But I learned that if you have enough time and patience, sometimes people might slip up." On the table was a tablet and some papers with his photo on it. "They always do." Flash sees Sparks and six other people walking into armored trucks and inside one was Sparks as he turned his head with a paperclip in his mouth and winked his eye. "That's when you can find the golden opportunity." Soon the memories start to fade as a bright light blinded Flash.
Sparks slowly got to his feet and looked at Flash. “You, I saw you. You were in my head.”
Flash looked at him confused and spoke. “Wait, that was you?" He asked as he struggled to stand up. "I thought that was me.” He picked up the bad just as Sparks
Sparks came up to Flash and said. “You saw it too right Moon Gate Tower if the Hive Squad Defence Force gets to you that’s where you’re going!“ He warned Flash before he started to run.
"Wait, is that what those guys were who took you in a bunch of other people away?!" Flash called out as he chased after him.
Sparks looked back before he started to throw electric balls right at Flash. “I’m warning you, kid, back OFF!“ He shouted as Flash quickly used the Bat to knock each Electric Ball away before sending another one right back to its owner.
"Not until you fix what you did to me, right now!" Flash demanded as he caught up and swung the bat a few times at Sparks. Sparks quickly used his powers to zoom away from Flash and got a good distance away from him.
"I told you I didn't do anything to you! But listen, you better be ready to disappear…”
As Sparks zoomed to another part of the room and threw more electric balls at Flash. Flash quickly did a dodge roll to avoid the electric balls before charging at Sparks and swinging the back a few more times at him.
Flash shouted out to Sparks, “Why?! Does it have to do with that woman I saw in your memories?!” Sparks threw a few more electric balls to push flashback before he quickly moved.
"Oh yeah!" Sparks shouted when he zoomed across the lunchroom. "Cause you're a Conduit now or a Bio-Terrorist as they call us! Welcome to the world of running for your life. And that’s what I’m aiming to do… Even if I have to go through you!”
Sparks then zoomed into the kitchen, absorbed some electricity from loose wires from the lights, and fired a bolt of energy at Flash. Flash quickly dove out of the way before he threw the bat right at Sparks, which was covered in electricity, before it hit Sparks and flung him back.
“You’re not going anywhere until you FIX THIS!” Flash shouted as Sparks saw a nearby door when he got up.
"I told you before that I didn't do anything to you!" Sparks shouted back. "You saw my memories and you saw that my powers just shut up out of nowhere one day! The same thing happened to you right now, that means I had nothing to do with it!"
"Then tell me how to control it!” Flash asked him.
Sparks answered back as he started running again. “Sorry kid, no can do! I’m not sticking around until she and her commander shows up!“ He quickly used his powers to shock a few tables before lifting them up in the air and throwing them at Flash. "I'm not staying here! I have a family to look for in Manehatten!!" He quickly Zapped through the doors just as Flash dodged the tables.
"Get back here!!" Flash called out as he rushed towards the doors and burst it open, only to find a few armed soldiers and Sparks getting covered in ice. And the one covering Sparks in the ice was the Commander with black skin and green hair wearing black and purple armor standing right next to the woman was a man with dark gray skin, black hair, and wearing red and black armor. Sparks pleated before the ice completely covered him and he was frozen solid inside of it.
"Oh Sparks, I am very disappointed in you." The woman said before she looked over at Flash. "Now you, you were in there with him and it looked like you fought him off since you were in there a while with him. How is it that you have no scratches on you?"
Flash was trying to think of something and only said, “Um… Just lucky I guess and great job at catching the conduit so I think we’re good so I will be on my way.” He tried to walk away only for the man to push him to the ground.
"He's a Bio-Terrorist." The man told Flash with a dark look.
“It’s okay Sombra, dear." The woman said with a calm tone. "Sparks was a Bio-Terrorist. They may call themselves a Conduit, but that is just a word traitors who sympathize with their cause. Now, you're not a traitor, are you?"
"N-No, I'm just a high schooler and I'm in a band," Flash replied as he cautiously stood back up.
Then the man in the black and purple armor walked to the woman and whispered in her ear.
“Madam Chrysalis, I don’t think he’s telling us the truth." The soldier whispered. "Shall I make him talk?“
"No no, let me handle it." Chrysalis whispered back before she looked at Flash. "The way you were talking before, you sounded a bit nervous."
"Well, anyone would be nervous if they saw a bunch of guys with guns in front of them and saw another guy get frozen solid." Flash pointed out just as he saw Principal Celestia and Luna coming up to them. "Oh hey, does my principles, and I think they would want to have a word with me. So uh, if you don't mind…"
"It's been my experience that there's only two reasons for people to be nervous." Chrysalis said as she stopped him from going over to Celestia and Luna. "It's either their cowards or they have something to hide. And being in there with a man like Sparks for a while shows that you are not a coward, so that means you have something to hide." Then the Commander gestured to her troops to grab Celestia and Luna. They nodded their heads and walked up to them before grabbing both of them by the arms, which made Flash grow worried. "Now tell me, did Sparks say anything to you?”
“Um no, no he did not." Flash replied as Sombra stood behind him.
"Did he say anything to you, share any of his ramblings about… conspiracies about us?" Chrysalis questioned him again.
“Oh, uh… I don’t think so?“ Flash answered again, which made Chrysalis chuckle a little.
"Well, that's good to know." She said with a small smile. "You see, we are engaged in a life-and-death war with these Bio-Terrorists and it's my job to do whatever it takes to ensure that we win that war."
"But, aren't you a Bio-Terrorist considering you have powers like him?" Flash asked Chrysalis while porting at the frozen Sparks. "And I heard stories about a Bio-Terrorist that saved the world, even though hundreds died while millions lived. You know, the guy who does electricity and stuff that started this whole people having powers thing in the first place."
Sombra then walked around and answered Flash’s question. “What, the Demon of Empire City? Cole Macgrath, he started all of this and a bunch of families were broken when he took down the Beast. People may have seen him as a hero, but he was still a Bio-Terrorist like the rest." He said by leaning forward and glaring at Flash. Sombra looks at Chrysalis and sees her nod her head. Flash then felt his legs buckled up before he looked down and saw that his own shadow was grabbing his legs and forcing him to kneel down.
"A-Are you doing th-this?!" Flash asked Sombra in shock. "You're a Conduit too?!
Sombra answered back with a glare. “Yes, but not by choice."
"Leave him alone!" Celestia demanded as the soldiers held her and her sister back.
Then Madam Chrysalis walked up to Flash and kneeled down to his level and said.
“Now tell me the truth or… let’s just say things will be very cold for them." After hearing all of that, Flash didn't want his principles to suffer as they were the best the school ever had.
Flash remembered what Sparks said but he knew it would be worth it if he gave himself up. "I'm… I'm one of them…" He muttered.
"Speak up, I hate mumblers." Chrysalis told him.
"I said that I'm one of them, I'm a Conduit." Flash spoke louder, which only made Chrysalis let out a sigh.
"Do you take me for a fool?" She questioned him with a brow. Then Chrysalis' hand glowed with shards of ice floating around before it stabbed flash right in the leg. He let out a loud grunt of pain as he held his leg. "Yeah, I'm told that hurts like hell." Then the man in the black and purple armor spoke up.
“Madam, what do we do with them?” One of them asked.
"Since he's not speaking truthfully, I'll have to question them. Chrysalis replied as she stabbed Flash with another ice shard in the arm.
"But I am, I'm a-GAH!!" Flash cried out in pain when another shard stabbed his other arm.
“Don’t interrupt me when the grown-ups are talking.” Chrysalis told him as she approached the two principles. Sombra then put his foot down on Flash's head as he heard screams of pain that came from both Celestia and Luna before he blacked out.
Flash slowly stirred in his sleep as he groaned; he sat up a bit and found himself in a hospital bed. He looked around and saw that he was alone and with his jacket off, but the ice shards that were in his leg and arms were gone before a nurse came in. "Oh my, you're awake." She said with a surprised tone.
"Uh yeah, that's what happens when you've been knocked out for a while," Flash replied to the nurse as he moved and sat on the edge of the bed. "So, how long was I knocked out for Nurse…?"
"Redheart." The nurse introduced herself. "And you've been out for three days. Seven girls have been visiting you for like a while now.
Flash was shocked by this. “Three days?!” He questioned in shock. "And what girls were visiting me?!" Before Nurse Redheart could answer, the Rainbooms came in with a few items in their hands before they saw him up and about.
Pinkie Pie ran up to Flash and gave him a big hug. “Yay, Flash is awake!” She cheered as flash looked at the girls.
"You came to see me for three days?" He asked them as Redheart pride Pinkie Pie off of Flash.
"Yeah, and we're so glad that you're okay. Fluttershy said with relief.
"Those ice shards were so deep within you, it's amazing that you are still alive." Twilight mentioned. "You must have a self-healing ability."
"Yeah, you're lucky," Rainbow mentioned. "Unlike everyone else here." She then got elbowed by Applejack when she said that last part.
"Others, what do you mean by 'others'?" Flash asked as he stood up.
Nurse Redheart walked up to the door and said. “I think it’s best if we showed you.” She, the Rainbooms, and Flash locked out of his room as he saw through the doorways of each room that some people had been stabbed with ice shards.
"Did… Did that Chrysalis woman do this?" Flash questioned the others as none of them answered him. "How many are here and why?"
Nurse Redheart answered with a sad look, "By my count, over 300 people.”
"Chrysalis was going after nearly everyone in town just to get answers, but none of them would tell her anything." Sunset mentioned. "She was about to do the same to us before she was called in to go to Manehatten." Flash then stopped by a door when he saw Principal Celestia and Vice-principal Luna in bed with cast and a few ice shards in their legs.
"Oh no, Celestia and Luna!" He called out as he went over to them with a worried look. "Are you both okay?!"
Luna spoked first with a weak tone. “We are fine, Flash. But are you alright?"
“Yeah, I’m fine but I still can’t believe this happened," Flash said with guilt. "I told her the truth and she didn't believe me."
Celestia held Flash’s hand for comfort and said, “We know you did what was right. But right now, you have to stop worrying and be glad that you recovered. And don't worry about the rest of us, we're going to be fine." Flash nodded with a forced smile before he followed the girls down to the hospital Lobby just when his father, Shining Armor, and Cadance walked in.
“Flash, oh my god, you’re alright!” Trail called out with relief as he quickly hugged his son.
"Yeah, apparently I have this self-healing ability," Flash told his father before he looked at Shining Armor and Cadance. "So, how's the rest of the town?"
Shining Armor answered while rubbing the back of his head. “A little bit of mess those H.S.D.F. soldiers did a lot of property damage, mostly that Chrysalis woman that left a few ice spots around town."
"Can't believe she's part of the military, along with Sombra." Cadance said with disbelief.
"You know them?" Sunset asked the two.
"We were in high school together, and Chrysalis had a crush on Shining but was jealous of me when you were dating." Cadance explained. "And Sombra was Crystal Prep's old principal before he was discharged."
"Well, hopefully the ice will melt and everything can go back to the way it was." Flash said before his father stopped him from going out.
"Melt?" He asked before he looked at the girls. "Didn't you tell him?"
“ Tell me what, dad?” Flash asked before Twilight walked up to him.
"Flash, it's been three days and the damage Chrysalis has done to this town hasn't melted at all." She told him. "Neither are the iceshards in any of the patients in this Hospital. Some people try to melt the ice with flamethrowers outside but no dice. The only way the ice can be gone is by the same way it came here. By the one who made it all."
Flash looked at them with eyes widened of disbelief. “What? But I thought they were going to be fine!” He said with disbelief.
"Look, we're just as worried as you are but there's no other way to remove the shards or the ice around town." Rainbow told him. "And I really doubt that Chrysalis will be willing to discuss removing all this ice." Flash thought for a moment before a thought came to his mind.
"But, what if there was someone with similar abilities as her?" He asked them with a small grin.
Rainbow asked Flash with a confused look on her face, “Uhh you lost me. What are you talking about?”
"Look, I got this electric power from sparks when I touched him." Flash told the group. "So what would happen if I touched Chrysalis?"
"No…" Trail spoke up as he already figured out what he was thinking. "Don't even think about it."
Then Twilight knows what Flash meant. “Oh course you're a walking power-absorbing sponge! You could absorb the same powers as Chrysalis and remove the ice yourself.“ She said with realization.
"That's… that's actually pretty smart." Sunset mentioned.
"And suicidal, because if he does this, they'll take him away." Cadance pointed out.
“And locked me up in Moon Gate Tower, I know." Flash mentioned. "I saw it in Sparks' head when I touched him. “
"Wait, you can also see another's heads' like Sunset? Rainbow asked him.
"I think it's only if their conduits then I can see in their heads. Flash explained. He was only an electrician before a bunch of gang members forced him into a life of crime. He was the one responsible for the crash just so he could escape. And the six other people who we’re in the trucks as well. They were all being transported to Manehatten and that is where Chrysalis is right now.”
Rarity then spoke up. “Wait wait, six other Bio-Terrorists?"
"Call them Conduits, because I think there's more to their story just like Sparks." Flash told her before he was about to head out.
"Flash, no!" His father spoke up when he stopped him. "I'm forbidding you to go there!"
"And what do you think we should do now then?!" Flash questioned his dad. "It's like you said, all this ice isn't going to melt unless it's removed. Chrysalis won't do it, then I will once I absorb her power."
"And he's not going alone." Applejack spoke up. "She hurt my granny and I want to give her a piece of my mind."
“Yeah, that meanie pants is not going to get away with this!” Pinkie declared.
"So I guess we're all going with him." Sunset said with a shrug while gesturing to the other girls. Trail, Shining, and Cadance looked at the group walking out before they looked at one another before they let out a sigh.
"Wait, we're coming with!" Shining called out.
“You’re going to need our help son." Trail told Flash. "I know a few friends in Manehatten, so they might help us out."
"And we're coming along just to keep you all out of trouble." Cadance added. "So, let's pack our bags, and let's go to Manehatten."
Flash and girls Yelled out. “Yes!” They then went to their own homes and were preparing to take a big adventure that will end either good or bad.
Chapter 3: Welcome to Staten Island part 2
The next day, Flash was seen on top of the hotel room as the sun was coming up before his phone started to ring and he picked it up. "Hello."
"Flash, where did you go?" Trail asked through the phone.
“Oh, I’m just on top of the hotel, no need to worry Dad.” Flash replied. "So now what do we do? What's the game plan for the day?"
“Well, Shining Armor and I are going to look for leads for the H.G.D.F. base of operations somewhere in Staten Island, not to mention that the main Central control base for them is right in the middle of Manhattan." His dad answered. "In the meantime, why don’t you and the girls go and help some folks who are asking for Sentry Savior and the Rainbooms."
"Huh, now that sounds like a catchy band name." Flash mentioned. "The girls are getting ready, I'm going to patrol a bit."
"You actually sound like an actual superhero." Trail mentioned before the call ended.
Flash then sees the girls walking up to Flash. "Hey girls, what's up?"
"Well, so far you used all the core relays that your father sent you and we don't know more about this task force." Twilight mentioned. "And you know that you want more, but we got to take things slow."
“True but I’m always wondering what kind of new power I could get if I absorb one more core relay,” Flash said as his hand sparked out a bit when Pinkie saw a blue Pegasus tattoo on his left hand and a red Pegasus tattoo on the other hand.
"When did you get tattoos? She questioned as Flash quickly noticed this as well.
"I didn't, they just showed up out of nowhere when I woke up.” Flash answered as Twilight gets a good look at the tattoos.
“Hmm, looks like these tattoos are connected to you for how many times you're doing good or how many times you're doing bad." She theorized. "Not sure how it works though, conduit powers are very unpredictable."
Then Pinkie looked at the fourth wall and said. “Karma is a handful, am I right?”
"But I've been thinking that maybe we should do something about the Central Communication Network." Sunset mentioned. "Like taking it down so it would really hurt their operation."
“My Dad and Shining are looking into it right, now let’s head on patrol and do some good.” Flash told them.
"Actually, while they were doing a little snooping on the front stage, I've been doing a little digging backstage, so to speak, and found out that there's a central antenna not too far from here." Twilight mentioned.
“Shut up, you mean the new Sky Tower!” Flash asked Twilight and she answered
“Yup, the new Sky Tower. Come on, we'll show you the way.” Twilight said.
"I think I'll take the express route down." Flash mentioned before he jumped off of the building and used his powers to carefully go down.
“Show off!” Rainbow yields to Flash.
As Flash and the girls made their way towards the Sky Tower, they did a few good things around like calling the H.G.D.F. after defacing one of their Billboards and taking care of the soldiers, and stopping some drug dealers and the Diamond Dog gang robbing a bank truck even took out the hidden camera’s the H.G.D.F. set up. They even took out a couple of checkpoints on the way before they stopped at the bottom of the sky tower and saw a few black ice on top of it.
When they looked up they saw more ice and black Shadow Crystals poking out and some communication tech all over the place and lots of cables hanging out. “Wow, the Sky Tower looked a lot different on the posters.” Pinkie said. "These guys really redecorated the place."
“Redecorated?! They turned into a giant radio station, Pinkie!” Rainbow yielded out loud.
"I don't see any way up." Fluttershy mentioned. "How are we going to take this down?"
“Looks like we’re going to have to climb it. There's a lot of Ice and Crystal spikes on the walls for us to climb on too.” Sunset pointed out.
"Not a good idea." Flash mentioned. "I touched that ice and Crystal stuff, and that immediately summoned like shadow crystal ninjas or something.”
“Well, what about those cables over there, partner?" Applejack asked as she pointed to some cables. "You can use that electric power of yours to climb your way up. The rest of us can create a diversion down here to get their attention."
“Hmm that might work but who should start the diversion first?” Flash asked the girls until they looked at Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash.
“Uh, what?” they both asked as Flash and the others grinned at them.
Back with the H.G.D.F. guards were doing their job when a food cart pulled in front of them. “Where did that come from?” one of the guards asked as one of them checked out a note on the cart.
“I don’t know but the note says: Surprise?” They looked at each other confused about what the note meant then one heavy armor guard was about to open the food tray right before the truck exploded with confetti and knocked them back.
“Surprise!” Pinkie exclaimed just as Rainbow Dash quickly zipped by and grabbed the weapons from each of the armed guards.
“It’s those new Bio-Terrorists Get them!” One guard Called out as he pulled out a shock wand that glowed in green energy.
“You can’t catch us if you get frosting in your eyes. Hit it PINKIE!” Rainbow yielded to Pinkie as she threw some big chocolate cakes into the guard's faces. With the guards busy with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, Flash quietly snuck by as he went over to Lee power cables and used his electric power to blow his weight up said cables.
“Man, look at this mess." He said as he made it like a few floors up before running over to another power cable. "How did they even build this so fast?” Then Flash's phone rings and he looks at his phone wondering who is calling and the caller is Celestia and Luna. "Principal Celestia and vice-president Luna, what is it?" He asked when he answered the phone.
“Flash, what is this?" He heard Celestia's question through the phone. "Why that me and my sister hear about you and the girls going to Manehattine with your Dad, Shining, and Cadence?”
"Uh… well…" Flash tried to come up with an excuse as he was putting in a group call with Sunset and the other girls.
“Flash, why did you call us?” Sunset asked Flash on the phone.
"Sunset? Good, maybe you can explain." They both heard Luna speak next on the phone.
“Oh vice-president Luna, we're just doing some sightseeing we’re at Staten Island’s new Sky Tower.” Sunset told them.
“Okay then bring back some snowglobes my sister loves them.” Celestia said when Luna talked over the phone.
“Have fun and stay out of trouble.” She said before the call Ended as Flash traveled up another power cable.
“Whoa! So this is the New Sky Tower I heard about Flash?” Tempest's voice said in Flash’s head when he answered back.
“Yeah, a lot has changed." Flash replies as he lands on a few more floors up. "Tempest, once we find all the Ray field memory gems and get your body back we can show you around.” Just as he was about to reach another cable, some soldiers came out and quickly started firing at him.
“Sounds like a good idea oh and watch out for the Crystal Gargoyles in front of you.” Said Tempest’s voice as two Crystal Gargoyles landed on an Ice spike in front of Flash and fired purple shadow fireballs at him. Flash quickly Dove out of the way before pulling out his E.B.S. and fired back at the enemy. The electrical shots hit the Crystal Gargoyles and they exploded into pieces then he threw some small shock bombs at the guards and they got shocked and pinned.
"Okay, now to keep going up." Flash said to himself before he used his ability to travel up a few more floors until he was on the top roof of the Tower. Once there, he found more guards firing at him just as he quickly pulled out his phone and called the Rainbooms. “Okay, Girls I’m at the top now how do I take this hub down?” Flash asked the Rainbooms on his phone.
“There should be an anchor lock of some kind, just above the roof of the lookout view.” Twilight said through the phone as Flash dodged fire from the enemy while he fired back.
Flash zoomed behind the guards and hit them with the E.B.S. while he pinned a few of them down. Flash soon saw the anchor lock as he started firing at it, but did no damage to it. “Okay this is going to be hard hmm.” flash mentioned before he heard Tempest's voice spoke out to him and said.
“Flash, I can sense a Blast Core container nearby on the roof.” Flash looks around and sees the Blast Core container near a coffee table. He quickly went over to it and busted open before absorbing the energy inside. Then Flash starts floating in the air as he sees himself turned into volts of electricity as him zigzag up into the sky with three balls of electrical energy surrounding him until they went into his body and he charged back down to the ground that sending multiple electric waves around him and either killed or pinned down enemies.
Then Flash stands back up as his hands glow blue with electricity sparking out and sees three knocked-out guards groaning in pain. "Okay…let's see if this will take out that anchor. He said with a grin before he noticed the two pegasus tattoos on his hands were glowing.
The red pegasus tattoo changed and looks old and tired out while the blue pegasus tattoo changed with its wings opened up and some stars surrounding it. "Okay, that's different." He said to himself with confusion before he quickly went over to the anchor and climbed on top of it. He then charged up his power before he began to use his new move he saw in his vision. Soon he started zig and zagged across the sky when he jumped up while three electric balls surrounded him. Once he was high enough, he opened his eyes with a grin as they sparked electricity before he charged back down and completely decimated the anchor.
Back on the ground, the girls see a blue explosive on the rooftops of the Sky Tower and every radio tech Ice and Crystal spakes start falling apart before falling off the Tower. “Aw Yeah, Flash did it!” Rainbow said as she fist bumps the air.
Twilight quickly pulled out her phone and called up Flash as they smiled up at what he had just done. "Flash, was that you just now?!" She questioned as she had her phone on speaker.
"Yeah, but I'm not done up here." Flash replied, which only made the girls confused. "Keep looking up!" They looked up more and saw the H.G.D.F. flag painted over by a blue and red pegasus standing back to back in the shape of a shield with a lightning bolt in the center of it.
“Ohh, those H.G.D.F. bucket heads are going to be hating this! Hahaha!” Said Rainbow as she smiled at Flash’s handy work.
At the hotel, Cadance and Spike the dog saw the destruction at the sky tower but also the flag Flash just put up. “Ohh nice artwork Flash did.” Spike said just as Cadance took a picture of it and sent it to Shining Armor.
At the Hive Guard Defence Force Base, the men saw this while on the camera feed as they looked closer. “Who’s that on the roof and who are those girls?!” one of them questioned just as Chrysalis and Sombra entered the room.
"What's going on here?!" She questioned before she saw the video feed.
One of the men answered. “We don’t know Madam Chrysalis but whoever they are they are not one of the six Bio-Terrorsiets that escaped.” Then one man spoke up.
“Well, I know that girl with the red hair that looks like bacon is a bioterrorist, because she didn't have a full human DNA." Chrysalis didn't seem to pay attention to them as she narrowed her eyes and saw Flash on top of the tower he just took care of.
Back with Flash and the Rainbooms they heard some people talking about the Rainbooms and the mystery hero they called the Sentry Savory. "You think this will get their attention?” Fluttershy asked the others as they walked.
“I hope soon cause I’m feeling ready for round two with those guys!” Rainbow answered before they saw a couple of things Zip by them. One of them was a trail of neon lighting while the other was a moving fireball. "The hell was that?!" She questioned as they saw the two things vanished into the distance.
“I don’t know but one of them is really fast, like faster than Dashie and the other has like a ball of fire charging through the air like a speeding tank shell.” Pinkie said as Rainbow gave her a glare.
"That was so not faster than me!" Rainbow retorted just as Flash, Twilight, and Sunset went in the direction of where those two things came from.
When they arrived they saw some bodies on the ground covered in Neon lights and some broken weapons. They even noticed some Scorch marks as they were the same as they saw before on the way to the city. But they quickly stopped in place and had shocked looks on their faces when they saw something against the wall. "Hey, what's ya found?!" Applejack questions as she and the others catch up to them but quickly gasping in horror while Rainbow quickly covers Fluttershy's eyes. On the wall in front of them was the burned body of a man pinned to a wall surrounded by neon lights in the shape of a skull with xs across the eyes and the ground covered in fire that hasn't stopped burning.
"Oh my god…" Rarity gasped before she took out her phone and called up 911. "Hello, I would like to report a dead body…"
Flash looks around the corner and sees a broken tub of destroyed drugs and a suitcase of burned money. “Hey, girls, look what else I found.” He called out to them. "I think this guy was a drug dealer and I think his deal sort of went South."
Soon the police and paramedics arrived on the scene as they took the dead man away just as Trail and Shining Armor walked up to Flash and the girls. “Son, What happened here?” Trail asked his son.
Flash answered. “We don’t know but we did find this over by the corner.”
"Looks like this fits the other cases we've heard back at the station." Shining mentioned. "The chief said just a couple of days ago that a few drug dealers were killed in the exact same way this guy was.
“But but…why and why attack Drug dealers and…kill them.” Fluttershy asked as she shook like a leaf.
"I think we should find out." Flash suggested. "Think, those neon lights and scorch marks are the same as the ones we saw when we were coming here. So the two conduits from the ones that escaped back home are responsible for this, but we obviously need to know why.
“Well, I may have an idea son if you and the girls take photos of the wounds of the victims and the drugs and money they destroyed." Trail mentioned. "Shining and I can try and put together who the Condults are.”
"And thanks for calling them conduits and not bio-terrorists." Flash mentioned before he looked at the girls. "Meanwhile, we'll follow the trail they sort of left behind a bit."
“Okay son, oh, and take this gem I found it under a mailbox of all places.” Trail handed Flash the Ray field memory gem. Twilight took the gem and placed it into her backpack with the others.
“Alright let’s have a look at the crime scene girls.” Flash said as they went back to the alleyway to look for clues. Twilight then took a good look at the markings on the wall before she looked up with a firm look.
"What are you looking for?" Sunset asked her.
“There’s something about the neon and scorch marks on the wall that leads to the ground. I think it’s some kind of trail,” Twilight answered as she wrote some notes down on her notepad. She then followed how the angles of the trail before she noticed they lead towards a billboard off in the distance. “Hey, Flash, girls, I think I found out how they're attacking the drug dealers from up there.” As she points to an old billboard on top of a building.
"I'll go check it out." Flash then used his electric abilities to climb up a building and make his way over to the billboard. He then it's all scorch marks and a few neon lights around just as Rainbow Dash caught up to him.
"Wow, fire smokes, neon lights, throwing a bit of DJ Pon-3's music and we got ourselves a rave here." She mentioned before looking at Flash. "Are you thinking about absorbing their powers too once we find them?"
“Yup, now let’s see what clues we can find here.” Flash said as he looked around and found a book of Vampire’s First Love Bite Three The Bride’s Honeymoon and a comic book of Power Heroes vs Doctor Inferno. "They definitely like comic books." That's for sure. Flash then noticed the scorch marks on one side of the billboard was shaped in a heart as initials on it were shown. "LD + SM? Who are they?" Flash sees some two pairs of girl boots and underwear hanging on a rope. "I'm guessing they're both girls."
"And let's add that their girlfriends as well by the way the heart looks." Rainbow added just as Applejack managed to climb up the ladder to them.
Applejack looks at a punching bag full of rocks covered in scorch marks and burns. “Hmm looks like one of them sure has a hot temper and may be strong,” Applejack said as she looked at the melted weights and workout tools. "And they must be handy with the tools as well."
"But who are they?" Flash asked. Then Rainbow sees a trail of neon lights and scorch marks leading to a closed-down subway tunnel.
“Hey, I found another trail!” She told Flash and Applejack. "Let's see where they lead!"
They followed the trail through town as they came to some building before going inside. They then went down the stairs and saw a shrine with a huge neon spiral with lots of LDs and SMs going around and around to the center of the wall with two empty trash cans filled with red fire. “Okay, these girls are a little obsessive.” Rainbow said as she looked at the shrine.
"Ya think that's odd, looky here." Applejack said as there was a neon drawing of some man sitting in a chair with a smile on his face.
"And it gets even creepier with this spiral vortex to nothingness." Flash mentioned as neon lights created a hole and a spiral in the wall.
“But who could this fellow be?” Applejack asked as she looked at the drawing while Rainbow found a message written on the wall in burn marks. "There's also something we're next to this guy. The word sorry is written in the scorch marks.” Flash looks at some photo frames on the shrine table then takes a picture of them and sends it to his Dad.
“Well, let’s see if my Dad can find anything about them of the pictures I send them.” Flash mentioned before they began to leave the building. Suddenly he got a phone call from an unknown number as he quickly answered and put it on speaker. "Hello?"
"Flash Sentry, nice to meet you." They heard a male's reply in the call.
“What the…um who are you?” Flash asked who was calling him.
“I’m Martin Wolfie and I need you and your friends to help me with something.” the man answered."And in return, I'll help you take down the H.G.D.F. from the inside.”
“Inside, what do you mean by that partner,” Applejack asked and he answered back.
“I have been doing some secret audio recordings and collecting some data for months about what they are doing to the Condults at Moon Gate Tower and why there are some new Condults popping out of the blue even in my today's recordings."Marathi told them. “I put a new program into your phone to help find my recordings. I also sent the new program to your friend Twilight's phone."
“Wait, how do you know our friend’s name?” Rainbow asked Marathi before the call ended. "Well, it's official, the guy is such a creep.”
“Yup.” Applejack agreed with Rainbow.
"Hey, what is this?" Flash was looking at his phone as the program that was sent to his phone showed video footage of him, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash standing in front of the building from a distance. "Is this security cam footage?"
"Looks like it, maybe it can show us something we’re supposed to find.” Applejack mentioned as they looked around. Applejack got another look at the footage and looked over at the street across from them. They crossed the street and checked the footage again to see if they were right.
“Hmm hey, what’s this?” Rainbow said as she saw something under an old broken car. Suddenly, Applejack threw a small rock and destroyed a hidden camera that was spying on them.
“Well, I'm dipped in applesauce, a hidden camera that belonged to those varmints." Applejack said with a firm look. "Looks like our creep just sent us a program that lets us hack into their hidden cameras."
“Yeah, but my Phone is picking up some kind of radio somewhere up there.” Flash said as he pointed to a big parking lot.
“What could be up there?” Rainbow asked Flash as he answered.
“I don’t know but whatever it is our new friend wants us to find it so let’s follow the signal.” Flash then started to climb his way up the parking lot with Applejack and Rainbow Dash following behind. Once they made it to the top the signal grew stronger and it led to an empty parking spot somewhere behind the no free parking sign.
"What gives?" Rainbow questioned with a brow. Flash checks the sign a bit until he sees something taped to the back of the sign, he grabs it and pulls it off the sign and Flash looks at an audio recording in his hands.
"A little hidden recorder." He said before he used his power to destroy it. "These guys really don't know their boundaries.” Then his phone pinged, he checked it and saw he has one recorded message that says Data log 001 my day at the H.G.D.F. as the three looked at it. "What do you think this is?"
"Twilight was also given this program to her phone, so maybe she'll know." Rainbow mentioned with a shrug.
“Hmm, must be our new friend’s recorded message that entails that he collected and stored them in the audio recorders he must have known that once I destroyed the recorder I received a data log that contained evidence on what the H.G.D.F. we’re really doing to Condults that are locked up.” Flash said as he looked at the play button.
"We'll have to look into that another time, because right now we got a couple of conduits to look for." Applejack reminded the two.
“Alright let’s head back to the girls and tell them what we find.” Flash mentioned as they nodded their heads to him as they went back to the girls.
Later, Flash and the Rainbooms were following any leads that may have been connected to the two Conduits that killed that drug dealer. "LD and SM, they're lovers and they're hunting down drug dealers." Pinkie said before she looked at the others. "What do you think they have beef with them anyway?"
“I don’t know maybe revenge or something else but how are we going to find them and where would they strike next?” Twilight asks as they try to think of a plan until Flash has a call from his Dad.
"Hey Dad, did you and Shining Armor find anything?" He asked when Trail answered the phone.
“We have that photo of LD and SM you sent us Shining and I looked it up in the database and we found a match.” Trail said before Shining Armor talked on the phone next.
“The LD stands for Lightning Dust and SM stands for Scolding Marks, both female."
"Wait a minute, Lightning Dust is a Conduit?!" Rainbow questioned in shock. "That explains why I haven't seen her in like years.”
“Hold on Rainbow you know who Lighting Dust is?” Sunset asked Rainbow.
"Lightning Dust and I used to be rivals before we hit high school." Rainbow explained.
“You were but what happened to her?” Fluttershy asked.
“I don’t know. When I waited for her at the sports field she didn’t come." Rainbow explained with a shrug. "I thought she was kidnapped or moved away because when I went to her house, her folks had really scared Expressions on their faces.”
"I'm guessing her powers showed up and they were frightened of her." Twilight theorized. "Then after that, she ran away because she was probably scared her parents would turn her in."
“Hmm could be, but what about this Scolding Marks, what’s her story, Dad?” Flash asked.
"Well, she seemed to have the same story as Lightning Dust, only then her powers were fire and she ran away with her brother a long time ago. Her parents were planning on turning her in to the government but they didn't know where they were." Trail answered. "But then Scolding was then captured after she murdered her own brother a couple years after."
"Why would she kill her own brother?" Fluttershy asked with a worried tone.
"Maybe it has something to do with the drugs, the reason why they're targeting drug dealers?” Sunset guessed as she shrugged her shoulders.
“That’s true darling, drugs can really mess you up and make you crave for more. So we know who they are but how do we find them?” Rarity asked. "And how did Lightning Dust get roped into all of it?”
“We don’t know but we might know where they’ll be going next.” Shining said on the phone when he sent them a photo of a building covered in neon lights and tiki torches.
“The Tiki Hut club, the biggest dance party club in the city!” Pinkie said as she zoomed right next to Flash.
"If they are going there next, then I suggest we head there and wait for them." Flash suggested. "We wait on the rooftop and hide somewhere, then when they show up, we jump them and I absorb their powers.”
“And then we have a party at the Tiki Hut club!” Pinkie said as she jumped in the air with cheer in her voice.
"Maybe, Pinkie." Sunset told her. "Now let's get over there and steak out."
They arrived at the Tiki Hut club, then they climbed up to the rooftop, found their hiding spots, and waited for them to come. Soon the sun went down as nightfall came, half of the girls were asleep while Flash and the rest were up. "When are they going to show up?” Rainbow questioned with impatience.
“I don’t know Rainbow, but I’m sure they’ll be here. We just have to wait for them to come.” Flash said when Applejack sees something in the distance.
"Quite y'all, they're coming." She whispered as Flash, Twilight, Sunset, and Rainbow lowered themselves with Applejack as a fireball and a trail of neon was heading towards the rooftop they're on. The fireball landed on the roof first showing a girl with red skin with yellow and orange spiky hair, wearing a vest with the Power Heroes on the back of the vest grey pants and some shoes that have fire stickers on them.
“Oh, man what a fun night we have, am I right, Lightning Babe?” Scolding asked as the neon trail stopped right in front of her and they saw Lightning Dust gave a small laugh in response. Lightning Dust had light green skin and blonde hair while her boots were pitch black and she was wearing a leather jacket and pants with a dark green lightning bolt going down the sides.
"As long as we take out the drugs here, and I'll be one hell of a show." Lightning said as Flash weighted for an opportunity. Just when their guard was down, Flash quickly sprung into action and quickly grabbed hold of Lightning Dust's arm. "Hey-?!" Lightning Dust tried to pull away from him as he began to absorb her power. Flash then saw a glimpse of her memories in his mind before they heard Scolding shouting
“Back off my girlfriend, JERK!” Scolding’s hands lit on fire and she threw fireballs at Flash. She knocked both him and Lightning Dust onto the ground before she quickly used her power to quickly stand up. Scolding walks up to Flash and picks him up with one hand on fire by his jacket. “You better have a good reason for stocking us, Buster!” She said until a cupcake hit her face and exploded, causing her to let go of Flash.
“What the… Who THREW THAT!” Scolding yielded out to whoever threw a cupcake at her face when the Rainbooms popped out of hiding.
“Aloha smokie and sparkles, nice night to go clubbing~." Pinkie said with a grin.
"Crash?!" Lightning Dust questioned after seeing Rainbow Dash.
“It's Rainbow Dash!” she shouted with irritation right before when Flash used this moment to grab Scolding’s hand and absorb some of her powers. Scolding tried to pull away as he slowly began to absorb her powers and started seeing images of her memories in his mind.
Lightning Dust kicked Flash away from Scolding Marks and shot a neon beam at the Rainboom's feet then ran away as fast as possible. Rainbow quickly got in front of Lightning Dust as the others helped Flash onto his feet. "What the hell, you're a conduit too, Crash?! Lightning questioned in shock.
"No, it's a long story about how fast I am now." Rainbow said with a glare. "Now can we just talk for a minute?”
“No way Skittles, not what you did to my girlfriend!" Scolding shouted with a glare just as Flash was about to move, but his entire body turned into flames as he skipped forward before coming to a halt. “What the…Hey, that’s my thing, you copycat!” Scolding said as she threw some fireballs at Flash but he dodged them with neon speed and stopped right next to Rainbow.
"Okay, that was different!" Flash gasped as he suddenly switched powers and was completely different from before with the electric powers. Scolding and Lightning knocked Flash and Rainbow off their feet and ran off the roof down to the streets and spit up.
“Ow, that smarts!" Rainbow groaned before Lightning Dust and Scolding ran off with their powers. "Hey, get back here!" She started to chase after them as Flash was trying to get his bearings.
"Come on, Flash, focus! He said to himself as he got up and started using the fire ability to jump off the roof and fly across the sky a bit. He then landed on the ground before using the neon power and he cashed up to Rainbow Dash with neon speed and used some fireball jumps to jump over cars. “Mind if I join you Rainbow?!” Flash said with a smirk.
"You can use both at the same time?!" She asked him in shock.
“I’m surprised that I can somehow now let’s go get them!” Flash said as Rainbow smirked and nodded her head and they ran fast to catch them. They then see Lightning Dust running up a building and jumping off it to a rooftop.
"Hey Lightning, scolding, wait up!" Rainbow called out to them before Lightning shouted back to them.
“Uh, no way Rainbow Crash! We’re not waiting for you or your new friend!” Lightning shouted back as she and her girlfriend started to move.
“'Rainbow Crash', what's she talking about, Rainbow?” Flash asked her.
"Long story, tell you after we caught up to them!” Rainbow replied as they chased the two down. "So how come you're not using the full Powers you got?"
"I think it's because the process got interrupted." Flash mentioned as they jumped off the roof to chase down Lightning Dust and Scolding.
“Really? Well, that kinda sucks.” Rainbow said as she jumped over a TV dish while Flash used fireball form to dash over the ledge and ran in neon speed again. He then crashed into them both as they both fell through a skyline and into a large room with neon signs.
“Ow, I know I have fast healing but that still hurts.” Flash groaned before he quickly rolled out of the way when Scolding threw fireballs right at him. "Hey wait, we just want to talk!"
“I don’t think so Jerkface, you and Rainbow Crash want a fight, then let’s FIGHT!” Lightning Dust shouted just as Rainbow Dash came down before quickly moved out of the way when Lightning Dust fired a laser of neon lighting right at her.
“Well, I guess talking to them is not working. How are we going to stop them?” Rainbow asked Flash as he looked around and saw lots of neon lights and old barrels filled with burning wood with fire poking out. He then noticed Scolding was setting said barrels on fire while Lightning Dust was absorbing light from a neon sign.
"First, we take away their little recharge stations." Flash pointed out. “Then we cool them off." He added while pointing at the sprinkler system on the ceiling.
“Oh I get it, we take away their power source and we hit them with everything we got. I Like it!” Rainbow said with a smile on her face. Flash then started to get to work as he ran up to a neon sign and absorbed the lighting from it before absorbing the flames from a burning barrel.
“Hey stop that, you Copycat!” Scolding said as she jumped in the air and dropped her flaming fist into the ground causing a wave of fire to burst out. Rainbow quickly went over to a fire alarm and pulled the switch, that caused the sprinkler system to activate and took out the fires then was started by Scolding. "No!!" She tried to flame up, but the waters kept on putting her out.
Lightning Dust then continued to shoot lasers at both Flash and Rainbow before they both quickly moved out of the way and he continued to absorb the lighting from the neon signs. “Just give up, you two and we can talk this out.” Flash said when the sprinklers went out and Scolding got her fire powers back.
"Fat chance, those bastards deserved it!" She shouted as Flash absorbed another neon sign before pulling out his E.B.S. when he saw her charging at him. Flash used a combo power of neon and fire coursing them into the E.B.S. and knocking her off her feet for a bit when he swung it right at her stomach.
“Since when can a baseball bat do that!” Lightning Dust questioned Flash when she went to the other side of the room to recharge on the last neon light. Rainbow quickly pushed her down when she was about to absorb the last neon light.
“Back off my girlfriend, Crash!” Scolding yielded at Rainbow and launched a stream of fire at her as Rainbow moved out of the way. She was then sprayed right in the face by a powerful stream of water before they saw Twilight, Sunset, and the others with a water hose spraying her.
"Flash, now!" Twilight called out before Flash nodded his head and quickly raced over to both Lightning Dust and Scolding. He then grabbed both of them by the arms and began to absorb their powers again. Everything became blurry as he started entering both of their minds and looked into both of their memories.
Flash saw a young Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust playing soccer on the field with determined looks on their faces. “Back when I was young I once had a best friend who was good at sports like me and as fast as me. But as we got older, we both became rivals in sports and stuff, trying to best each other.” He heard Lightning Dust say before he saw the memory changed to the day she got her powers. "But right before I was going to show Rainbow Dash off, my powers just showed up and my folks totally freaked out. I was afraid they were going to turn me into the government, so I just ran away and ever gave them the chance."
Flash then saw a completely different memory and he could guess it belonged to Scolding Marks as it showed the day she got her powers and her parents looked completely frightened.
“When I was young I had a brother and a good family. Once life was good until I got my powers and almost burned the house down.” He heard Scolding say before he saw her brother taking her away from their home. “My parents were scared 'cause I know what happens to people who have powers and my brother wouldn't want me taken away so we grabbed our coats and we ran!” Then the memory changed to Lightning Dust and Scolding meeting for the first time. "It was then just me and my brother for a while until we met Lightning Dust, she was amazing when we first met."
"Scolding was tough, strong, much like Rainbow was…" He heard Lightning Dust say as he could guess they were sharing the same memory.
“Lightning Dust ran so fast I could hardly see her and we shared a love for sports and my brother was happy seeing me making a new friend but things are not easy for the three of us.” Scolding said as Flash saw all three of them getting along before the memory changed when the three were approached by a shadowy figure. "But when we needed money, some guy offered to help us by helping him sell drugs…Ohh those drugs they feel so great! Once you have your first taste of the drugs it sets us up for life baby!”
"We knew what we were doing was wrong, but the drugs…" Lightning Dust said as he then saw both Lightning Dust and Scolding come out along with her brother tripping out from the drugs. "We just couldn't stop. Whenever we ran out, we always wanted more. The withdrawal were agony, looking for a fix." He then saw what looked to be like an endless labyrinth as both Lightning Dust and Scolding looked a little freaked out.
"And you end up losing your stash, you start to think someone stole it from you…" He heard Scolding say as the memory changed to her having a glare on her face while she looked at her own brother as everything became red around her. "The drugs… the dealers, they make you do things that…" Flash then saw Lightning trying to stop the two siblings fighting before he saw the brother set ablaze by his own sister. “When I lost my temper, I killed my own brother and…I fell apart and I would have been broken if Lightning Dust wasn't there for me." He then saw Lightning Dust comforting her before the memory changed as they were both caught by Chrysalis and Sombra. “When those two nutjobs showed up when their H.G.D.F and saw what happened we were taken away to Moon Gate Tower and Chrysalis was testing our strength and speed while Sombra pushed us to the limits on the firing range.”
"They… they just wouldn't stop." Lightning Dust said as both she and Scolding were kept in different cells. Only one of them was taken out to do testing while the other just cried out for the other. "All day or night… they just wouldn't stop at the testing. It was then before we were transported out that they gave Scolding the chance to take her anger out on the same guy who gave us the drugs in the first place.” The memory then shows Scolding outside on the snowy cliff with rage in her eyes looking down on the man who took everything from her. She yielded at him then she grabbed him by the neck and set his head on fire before pushing him off the cliff as his body was set on fire.
“From that day when I killed that monster who ruined my life, the little girl inside me that day died but the only friend and love I have left was Lightning Dust when Chrysalis and Sombra found me they only smiled at what I did and made my stomach crawl." Scolding said as Flash saw Lightning Dust comforting her as Scolding was crying her eyes out on the cliff before the memory changed to the day of the crash. "So on the day of the crash, the two of us fled as fast as we could, with just one mission on our mind…" The memory showed them standing on the roof looking up at the sky with their hands glowing with their powers. “We're going to make those Drug dealing basters pay for everything that they did and mark their bodies in your name Brother's name… for Sun Bright. No one will suffer the way we did, no one else!"
Flash slowly woke up from seeing their memories when Twilight and Rainbow helped him up. “Wow, are you alright Flash?” Rainbow asked when she helped Flash up his feet.
"I…I'm fine…" Flash replied before he looked at Scolding and Lightning Dust as they were getting up. "Sun Bright… you're doing this for your brother, Sun Bright. I saw both of your memories."
“Wait, you saw our…You’re a Condult like me and my girlfriend?! I thought you were one of their robots.” Scolding said in disbelief right before Trail, Shining Armor, and Cadance coming in.
“Flash, oh thank goodness you’re alright son.” Trail said with relief.
"Uh, we're okay too!" Rainbow called out right before Trail and Shining grabbed Lightning Dust and Scolding.
“You two are in a lot of trouble!" Shining told them as they struggled to get the two officers off of them.
“Dad, Shining, wait! They were doing all the drug dealing killing because one man cost Scolding’s brother’s life.” Flash told them in their defense.
"No, they were murdering them." Shining corrected with a look.
"Well, what do you think we're doing to the government?” Flash questioned rhetorically.
“Flash darling what are you talking about?” Rarity asked when he answered back.
"You're doing this to them because you have to, to save Canterlot City and all those people in the hospital." Trail told his son.
"They stay free." Flash told the two officers.
“Say WHAT now!?” Pinkie said with a surprised face as Lightning Dust and Scolding looked at Flash with shocked looks on their face like everyone else in the room.
"No, Flash, no!" Trail replied with a look. "Look, just because you have the same thing… I don't know what to call it, the same thing as them, doesn't mean that we're going to pick up every little piece of trash we find. Look, I'm never going to abandon you, all right? Not ever. These two go in a cage.”
“Yeah, like how Chrysalis and Sombra put them in a cage, torturing them by splitting them apart and pushing them so far until they break and do things they are forced to do?!” Flash questioned before he heard two small voices in his head whispering to him. One was saying to corrupt both Lightning Dust and Scolding Marks while the other was telling him to help Lightning Dust and Scolding Marks do the right thing Flash thought long and hard about this and chose what was right and wanted to help them. His pegasus tattoos on his hands glowed the red pegasus tattoo changed to showing it laying on its back with its head staring up into the sky while the blue pegasus tattoo changed to showing standing on its hind legs and its eyes glowing white as the stars surrounding it grew as it kicked the red pegasus down. "Look, they just need to learn a bit of self-control! And they'll be my responsibility if they don't learn it!”
Trail and Shining Armor looked at each other before they let go of Lightning Dust and Scolding Marks. "Fine, we're here for the town, not to haul in Conduits.” Trail said with a look towards the two they let go.
"I think what he's doing is the right thing." Cadance spoke up with a smile.
Then Trail saw his son’s tattoos on his hands. “Son, when did you get tattoos on your hands? You know you’re not old enough to have them.” He questioned as Flash noticed the tattoos changed again before Scolding spoke up.
"They probably appeared when his powers did. She said before she lifted up her shirt to show off, not only her abs, but a dragon tattoo around her stomach and going around her waist. This appeared when I was young on the same day my Powers appeared.” Scolding said when Lightning Dust did the same when she left the back of her shirt to show a colorful rabbit running fast.
“And this appeared when I got older the same day as I got my powers.” She said before the both of them lowered their shirts. "I guess it's a Conduit thing.”
“Well, son, I hope you know what you are doing.” Trail said to his son when he gave him a big hug.
"So…why do you call Rainbow Dash 'Crash'?" Pinkie asked Lightning Dust, which caused Rainbow Dash to let out a groan.
“Oh, back when we were young we had a race, and right when Rainbow was about to win she slipped on one of her baseballs and crashed right into the goalie and into some trash cans!” Lightning said with a little giggle.
"It's not funny…" Rainbow said through her teeth.
“Oh, it was you just didn’t see your own ball on the ground when we were running.” Lightning retorted as the two athletes glared at each other.
"You're going to have your work cut out for you, Flash." Sunset mentioned with a pat on his back. Flash lets out a sigh as he has a feeling it's going to take some time to redeem both Lightning Dust and Scolding Marks.
