Years later...

Perfect streaks. Immaculate symmetry, and just the perfect amount of eye shadow. In the mirror, she proudly watched her makeup work. There was red lipstick on her mouth, but there was also orange lipstick, blue lipstick, and purple lipstick. Not on her lips, but around her neck, barely taking any attention away from the hickeys so red they may as well have been the work of the suckers of an octopus.

She could have removed the lipstick marks - but why? Why shy away from the fact that they were her trophy as much as she was theirs?

A figure stepped through the door - a well-suited man with glasses who'd checked his manifest.

"Mrs. Shimmer?" The man asked. "Apologies if I am interrupting the routine. May I?"

"Not interrupting at all. Go ahead." She softly responded.

He nodded, eyes scanning his checklist. "The stage is ready. Your guitar has been prepared - as you've specified, we've set up your ruby-red, flying-V Gibson. The backstage refreshments have been set - we've invited and received the finest taco chef in the country as per Mrs. Sonata's request. Security has checked the perimeter and is using facial recognition tech to keep an eye out for the six individuals on your personal blacklist. Some rather...fanatical fans tried sneaking in, but they've been escorted out. The band's on for tonight. Is there anything else you'd like before the show starts?"

Sunset's red lips couldn't contain her endearing chuckle. "Oh, Charles - you're a clockwork of an agent. Thank you. I only ask if you could call sweethearts to come here before the show starts. Have security keep anyone else out."

"Of course, ma'am. Enjoy your evening." The agent bowed his head, and left. Sunset smiled. Money and worldwide fame was wonderful, but she still needed them. Moments later, the three sirens entered, each already in their outfits.

"Tonight's the night, Sunny?" Aria smirked, playfully approaching Sunset from behind like a shark toying with its prey. She grinned like one, too. She propped herself to sit on the makeup table and face Sunset, cupping her lover's chin. "I heard our tickets sold out in just a couple 'a days. Biggest crowd we're performing to. So far. And here I thought our first concert was a feast..."

Sunset looked up at her, smiling in turn like a cheeky cat. She didn't contest the hand that treated her like a pet. "You sure you can handle it? Those pendants of yours aren't gonna burst, are they?"

Focused on Aria, Sunset didn't realize the moment that Sonata took her right hand and rubbed her face against it, planting a multitude of kisses and trailing it with lipstick, ending with her face on Sunset's shoulder. "Oh come on..." The blue-haired girl cooed. "Who could ever have their fill of magic? Or you?"

Sunset used nuzzled Sonata, her right hand greedily wrapping around her. "With a couple of hundred thousand people waiting for us? Waiting for you to sap their power? So unwitting and helpless? Those poor, poor people about to become your dinner?" She said, mocking not her lovers - but the countless people outside cheering and begging the music to begin.

"What?" Aria smirked, guiding Sunset by the chin to look her in the eyes. "Gonna stop us~?"

"Why should I? My loved ones deserve a good meal." Sunset smiled. Finally, Adagio approached Sunset from behind, hugging her and trailing her left hand to Sunset's left - seeking purchase of her fingers before she stopped at the ring finger. She'd counted all three rings, stacked on top of the other.

"There's only so many souls in this world, beloved..." Adagio whispered into Sunset's ear. "Maybe...Equestria deserves to hear us on tour? Show your old mentor what wonderful songs you've written?"

Sunset leaned her body back, surrendering to Adagio as the siren took the opportunity to kiss and suckle on her neck. "I'm not against a homecoming tour. But let's finish with this world, first. So many cities deserve to hear our sound. Once this world's wrapped around our fingers, Equestria will be wrapped around our hooves..."

"And fins." Sonata teased.

Sunset smiled at her reflection. She smiled wider when she longingly looked at the three sirens in the mirror. They caressed and kissed her. She was drowning in them - and she did not want to emerge. Ever.

In this dark abyss, she had never felt more alive.
