Chapters Chapter 1
Ok. You got this. Step one: Three barrel rolls. Step two: Blitzerama. Step three: Shoot for the sun. Step four: Fly past the Wonderbolts after doing a Sonic Rainboom. Rainbow thought as she looked at herself in the mirror. I've been training for this day for three months. After I won the Young Fliers competition they told me to try out. They gave me all the details that I needed to do in order to make it while we were at dinner.
"One of the requirements is that you must at least have a wing power of 50 in order to try out. You obviously have past this with the Sonic Rainboom you performed earlier today." Spitfire said. "Another is that you must do something No other pony has shown before. So doing a few flips is an automatic disqualification. We only look at those who show potential and can prove that they deserve to be a part of us."
Rainbow looked at her from across the dinner table. "Well, considering I'm the only pony to do a Sonic Rainboom, I guess that gives me an automatic in, right?" she asked.
"Not too fast now. You still have to try out. But yes, you show that you have a lot of potential and will most likely get in. Just do your Sonic Rainboom and you'll be good." Soarin said as he lifted his head from his meal.
"Don't worry Rainbow. You'll do fine." Spitfire said as she returned to her meal.
Rainbow Dash washed her face and walked out to sit next to her friends. "Ya got this Rainbow. Don' sweat it." Applejack said.
"You'll do just fabulous!" Rarity exclaimed.
"Yeah. I'm not worried!" Rainbow Dash said shakily. I'm screwed! "I'll be a part of the Wonderbolts in ten seconds flat!" I'll choke!
"Just remember, you had a 70 wing power yesterday. With that you'll bypass all the others easily." Twilight said reassuringly.
"And if you don't, you gave it your best shot." Fluttershy said quietly.
"You'll do amazing Dashie! More than amazing! More like super-duper-ultra-wonderfully amazing!" Pinkie Pie shouted excitedly. "And when you win, we can have a party! We'll invite all of Ponyville to celebrate the newest addition to the Wonderbolts! We can have cake and ice cream and balloons and streamers and cherrychungas! Oh! I know! I'll make cupcakes! What kind should I make? Chocolate, banana, vanilla, red velvet, blueberry, raspberry, or all of them combined?" She gasped. "I know! I'll make Rainbow colored cupcakes in honor of you Dashie! Doesn't that sound fun?" Pinkie asked in her jubilant voice.
"Of course! Everypony should come to honor me!" Rainbow said boastfully.
"Rainbow Dash. Your up Champion." Spitfire said as she called Rainbow's name.
"I'll see you guys after!" Rainbow shouted as she ran out.
"I've got my party cannon ready for when you win!" Pinkie shouted back.
Rainbow stepped out onto the cloud in the Wonderbolts training arena. She looked up to the Wonderbolts platform where they would rank her on her performance. She glanced to where her friends were sitting. They waved at her and smiled. She nodded her head and turned back to her idols.
"You may go when you're ready." Spitfire said. Rainbow gulped and nodded. It's now or never. she thought. She looked at her idols and flew into the air.
She shot up into the sky and flew past the Wonderbolts. Step one: Three barrel rolls. she thought as she executed each roll perfectly. Step two: Blitzerama. She flew past the Wonderbolts and turned around. After she passed them again, there was a shock of electricity that shot through the air. Step three: Shoot for the sun . She flew straight up, almost blinded by the sun.
This is it. The Sonic Rainboom. She turned over and dove for the ground. She picked up speed and felt the sound barrier ripple around her. Almost! C'mon wings! she thought. There was a sound of a cannon going off behind her. Reflexively she looked behind her and lost control. She tried to pull out of her dive before she crashed into the ground. She didn't have time.
There was a giant explosion of Rainbow colored dust that shot into the air like a mushroom cloud.
"Wait! Please give let me try again!" Rainbow pleaded. "I'm sorry! I lost control and couldn't pull out of my dive fast enough!"
"Get out! You will never become a Wonderbolt! Look at what you did!" Spitfire said as she motioned to the destroyed stadium. "Now leave!"
What... "Never...Never become a Wonderbolt?" Rainbow said quietly. I... I can't... Her friends ran over to where she was sitting. She sat there stunned and shocked as she tried to keep herself from crying in front of her friends.
"Oh my gosh! Rainbow Dash, are you hurt?" Fluttershy asked.
Rainbow tried to regain her composure. "I'm fine." she said quickly.
"Ya sure? That there was a might hard fall ya took." Applejack said.
"I'm fine!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"I'm so sorry Dashie! I didn't mean to! The cannon shot of when I stood up!" Pinkie exclaimed.
Rainbow glared at her. "You! Why did you bring that thing?! Why Pinkie?!" she yelled angrily. Pinkie backed away from her slowly, frightened by Rainbow's yelling. "Why in the hell would you bring something that could distract me!?"
"For when you won..." she said quietly.
"Yeah, well because of that damn cannon of yours I will never, ever be a Wonderbolt!" Rainbow yelled.
"But...what about next year?" Pinkie asked confused.
"There isn't a next year! Not for me, not ever!" Rainbow dash was fuming.
"Now Rainbow! She said she was sorry and that it was an accident. Don' go yellin' at her for something she didn' mean to do." Applejack said before things escalated.
"Dashie...Please...I'm sorry." Pinkie pleaded with tears in her eyes.
"Stop! Just stop Pinkie!" Rainbow yelled. Pinkie's mane lost it's puffiness. "Just stay away from me!" she yelled and flew to her house in Cloudsdale, away from the destroyed stadium and her friends on the ground. She flew into her house and locked the door. She ran to her room, jumped into her bed and cried.
She looked at her nightstand and saw a picture of her and Pinkie Pie together. They were holding hooves with their heads touching each other. This was the day Pinkie asked her out. They had been dating for awhile now and Rainbow had been planning on flying her around in the air after she had become a Wonderbolt. "It's your fault! Why did you ruin my only chance?! Why Pinkie!?" she yelled at nopony. She saw the other pictures of them, at the park, at the movies, swimming in the lakes and ponds, and one of Pinkie giving Rainbow a kiss on the cheek.
Rainbow flung her hoof across the nightstand, sending the pictures flying to the ground. The pictures fell through the clouds. One picture remained on the nightstand. Pinkie's smiling face. It beamed at Rainbow and laughed at her suffering. Rainbow screamed and slammed her hoof through the glass, leaving her hoof bloodied. I'm done. She'll pay for ruining this for me. she thought as she burned holes with her eyes at the picture of Pinkie's smiling face.
Chapter 2
Pinkie Pie sat in her bed crying, clutching a picture of Rainbow Dash to her chest. She hadn't held a party for a week since the tryouts, and Rainbow hadn't talked to her or written her back. "She hates me... she hates me and she'll never love me again." Pinkie cried as Rarity and Twilight tried to comfort her.
"Now darling don't say that. It's Rainbow Dash, of course she'll still love you. Even after that cannon incident." Rarity said as she rubbed Pinkie's back.
"She is the element of Loyalty after all. She'll never leave you." Twilight said reassuringly taking one of Pinkie's hooves.
"Then why hasn't she written back to me? I sent her a singing telegram telling her how sorry I was and she glared at me and slammed the door in my face!" Pinkie exclaimed and sobbed even harder.
"That was the day after what happened. She was still mad. I'm sure that she'll be on her way to apologize in a few days." Twilight said.
"It's been a week! If she hasn't accepted my apology or returned my letters, she hates me!" Pinkie yelled.
"The Wonderbolts were her idols. It's going to take some time for her to be in any talking mood. Especially after that embarrassing performance." Rarity said. Pinkie cried in anguish as Twilight glared at Rarity. "What? It was embarrassing."
"What she means to say is that they were her idols, and she messed up. She's devastated by it and just wants to be alone for a little while. Give her a few more days. She'll talk to you." Twilight said.
Pinkie sniffed. "You think so?" she asked, wiping her eyes.
"I know so." Twilight said giving her a reassuring smile. Pinkie wiped her eyes and looked at the picture she was holding. There was a knock at the door as an envelope slid underneath the door. Rarity picked the letter up with magic and gave it to Pinkie. When she opened it she gasped.
"It's from Dashie! She wants me to come by her house tomorrow!" she screamed in glee. She let out a small squee as she jumped around the room. She wrote me back! I can't believe it! She doesn't hate me, she still loves me!"
"See? I told you she would want to talk to you!" Twilight said happily.
"What time tomorrow? If you want I can make you all spiffy and exotic for her if you wish?" Rarity said. Twilight elbowed her friend who gave her a quizzical look.
"Oh, it's fine Rarity! I think she just wants to talk anyways. But thanks for the offer!" Pinkie said as she kept hopping around the room gleefully. "Oh! Don't you have that meeting with that high end fashion designer in a few minutes?" she asked.
"Oh my stars! You're right! I almost forgot! I'll see you later! Good luck with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie!" Rarity said as she ran out the door.
"And I have a letter to the princess to write. I'll see you tomorrow after you visit Rainbow." Twilight said as she followed Rarity out the door.
"Okay! See you ponies later!" Pinkie exclaimed. She closed the door, ran back to her bed, and stared at the picture of Rainbow Dash she had been clinging to a few minute earlier.

The next day arrived and Pinkie was in full swing. She had Twilight put the cloud walking spell on her again and she flew on her hot air balloon to Cloudsdale and appeared a few feet from Rainbow's house. She jumped out of her balloon and landed softly on the plush clouds. She hopped over to Rainbow's door and knocked. The door slowly opened with a loud creak at her touch.
"Hey Dashie? Why's it so dark?" she said as she hopped in. "Hello? Dashie, are we playing hide and seek?" she asked, not noticing the figure hiding in the shadows of the house. It moved quietly behind the unfazed pink pony. "Oh Dashie! Where are you!" Pinkie asked in a playful tone.
"Behind you." Rainbow said and slammed a metal pipe against Pinkie's head. She collapsed to the ground and was drug out of the room.

The Blood Flows
Pinkie opened her eyes as she regained consciousness. Her vision was blurred and her head had a mighty welt on it. "Where...Where am I?" she asked. The room was pitch black. The only light in the room was coming from a candle on a table and the full moon's light as it shone through a window. She blinked her eyes to try and clear her vision again. Her eyes focused on the table with the candle. She gasped as she saw a large array of knives laying across the table.
She screamed. "Dashie!! Dashie where are you?! Please help me!!" she screeched. She tried to move, but was stopped by the chains that were attached to her hooves. The chain led back to the wall and only gave Pinkie enough room to move a few inches. "Dashie!" she screamed once more, tears streaming down her face.
"Hello, Pinkie." Rainbow Dash said as she emerged from the shadows. "How are you doing? Comfortable?" she asked sarcastically.
"Dashie! Oh thank goodness you're alright. Can you help me out here? I wonder who did this? Why would they do this? Oh! Is this like some sort of game?" Pinkie asked cheerfully.
Rainbow let a smile spread across her face. "Yes. That's what it is. A game." She walked over to the knives.
"What kind of game? This isn't one I've ever played before, and I've played a lot of games." Pinkie said as she tried to get the chains off of her.
"It's a fun game. Trust me Pinkie. It'll be fun." Rainbow said as she picked a knife off the table. She walked over to where Pinkie was laying and placed the tip of the knife where the chains were wrapped around her hooves.
"Oh be careful Dashie. Don't want to cut me now do you?" she asked playfully. She winced as the knife cut into her hoof. "Ouch! What are you doing?" she asked as Rainbow continued to cut her up to her thigh.
"Playing the game. Are you having fun yet?" Rainbow asked with malice in her words.
"But what kind of game is this? It's not fun. It hurts..." Pinkie said as she held her thigh. Rainbow plunged the knife deep into Pinkie's back leg who screamed in pain. "Dashie! What kind of game is this?!" Pinkie screamed as her hair went straight and the blade dug deeper into her leg. Rainbow pulled the knife out, grabbed a cup from the table, and started to collect the blood that poured down Pinkie's leg.
She brought the full cup to Pinkie's mouth. "Drink it." she said. Pinkie shook her head. "Do it!" Rainbow yelled. Pinkie gave a small shriek and started to drink her own crimson blood. Rainbow smiled as Pinkie finished. "There. Was that so bad?" She placed the cup down and picked up a machete.
"Why Rainbow?! Why are you doing this?!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Don't you remember? Last week at the Wonderbolts try outs? You shot the canon that ruined my chances of ever getting in." Rainbow Dash said, putting as much malice as she could into her last sentence. "But don't worry. I'll forgive you. Right after I'm done."
She pulled the machete above her head and brought it straight down on Pinkie's back leg. She screamed in agony as the blade made contact with her bone. The dull blade bounced off of the bone and Rainbow made another slash at the bone. It made small cuts into the bone, each slice making a distraught Pinkie scream in pure agony. The blade slammed against the bone and lodged itself inside.
Rainbow pulled and pulled until it came free, sending blood flying across the room. A large pool had already formed at the base of the torn leg. Pinkie whimpered in pain as Rainbow drug the flat end of the blade across Pinkie's lips and kissed her, tasting Pinkie's blood. She stepped on the bone and ground her hoof into it. Pinkie shrieked as the pain soared through her body. "Stop it!" Pinkie cried.
"Dashie please stop!!" she pleaded. "I love you! Please!" She screamed as Rainbow slammed her hoof onto her exposed bone again. The pool of blood around her hoof had grown. Rainbow brought the blade back up over her head, and sent it flying to the ground. Pinkie screamed as the bone finally broke in two.
Rainbow threw her against the wall and hit her with her dismembered leg. She took the machete and sent one hard swing at her friend's front foreleg. It dropped to the floor on the first swing. "Damn. That happened too fast. How about the other one?" she asked Pinkie with a smile.
She shook her head, unable to speak as her screams got caught in her throat. Rainbow moved to the other leg and started to saw through it. Slowly she cut through the leg straight to the bone. She put the machete down and bucked the exposed bone. Pinkie shrieked as the pain ran all through her body. Rainbow kept bucking. "This is for that canon!" she said, sending another kick to the bone. "This is for embarrassing me in front of the Wonderbolts!" She let another out another kick. "And this is for ruining my chances for ever becoming a Wonderbolt!" she said as she kicked the bone as hard as she could, snapping it as blood started to gush out. Pinkie's screams brought a smile to Rainbow's face. She kicked Pinkie's face nearly breaking her jaw.
Rainbow picked up the cup and filled it again with Pinkie's blood. She placed it in front of Pinkie's mouth again, who knocked it away from her. She was thrown to the ground next to her dismembered leg. Rainbow grabbed a smaller knife and started cutting into Pinkie's belly. Pinkie screamed as the torturous pain seared through her body. Rainbow grabbed the cup and filled it up again. She forced the crimson blood down Pinkie's throat.
Pinkie gasped after she swallowed her blood. "Dash...I'm sorry...Please...let me go..." she said weakly. Rainbow cut into her belly again, opening her friend's stomach. She ripped the pancreas out from her exposed friend and collected more blood. She forced Pinkie to eat the organ and wash it down with more of her blood.
Rainbow smiled as she saw the organ travel down the esophagus. "You've lost so much blood. You'll be dead soon. This was fun. I'm glad I was the one who could do this." Rainbow said with an evil smile. She picked up the knife again, and plunged it into Pinkie's stomach. The acid spilled out onto her organs. She tried to scream, but couldn't. The room was closing around her. Her vision darkened as the pain kept coursing through her body.
"Thank you Pinkie Pie. Thank you for letting me have one last fun moment with you." Rainbow Dash said. She kissed Pinkie one last time, took the knife and plunged it into Pinkie's heart. Her eyes widened as her heart pumped blood out of itself, spraying onto Rainbow Dash. Pinkie gave Rainbow one last look as her vision went black.
Rainbow stood up, covered in her friends blood, and looked at the mangled body before her hooves. She spread her now crimson red wings and flew out the window, leaving friend's lifeless body to the rats.
Author's note: Ok. It's finally done. I can't believe I was actually able to write this. I'm not going to lie, it was kind of fun. This is my first gore fic so tell me what you think needs improving on, and I'll incorporate it into the next one. Twilight Sparkle and Spike.
