A friend in purgatory.

Twilight Sparkle, imprisoned in the desolate void, found herself surrounded by the remnants of Lord X's victims. Among them, she discovered a flicker of life—Vectorman, the once-mighty green robot, now ravaged by rust and despair. "There's nothing we can do," Vectorman lamented, his voice echoing the hopelessness that pervaded their prison.

Twilight, ever the optimist, refused to succumb to despair. "That's not true," she insisted, her voice unwavering. "My friends will find us, and we can stop Lord X's plans."

Vectorman scoffed, his rusted magnetic joints creaking with cynicism. "No one dares to take on Lord X," he countered, his tone laced with bitterness. "Those who do perish."

Suddenly, two figures were hurled onto the wall, ensnared by its organic grasp. Twilight's heart sank as she recognized one of them—Applejack, her loyal and steadfast friend. "Applejack?" she cried out, her voice filled with concern. "They got you too?"

Applejack remained silent, her expression vacant. But then, a chipper voice broke the silence. "Oh! Hi Twilight!"

Twilight's eyes widened in disbelief as she saw the source of the voice—Pinkie Pie, the exuberant pink pony, somehow unscathed and beaming with her trademark cheerfulness. "Pinkie Pie?" Twilight questioned, her mind reeling. "How did you get here?"

Pinkie Pie giggled, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Oh, I can tell you all about it!" she chirped, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm. "I was getting ready for work, and..."

Twilight listened intently, a glimmer of hope rekindled in her heart. Perhaps Pinkie Pie's presence wasn't just a cruel twist of fate. Perhaps, just perhaps, she held the key to their escape and the unraveling of Lord X's sinister plans.

Hang on there Mr. Narrator, can I tell the story?!

Pinkie Pie’s New Friend!

I was getting ready for work and preparing for nightmare night at the same time; I rushed downstairs to greet Mr. & Mrs. Cake who told me that they had a bunch of deliveries to make in canterlot and they asked me to take charge of Sugarcube Corner in their absence and look after the cake twins for them. I’m not the type of pony to let anyone down so I agreed; I was in the kitchen carving pumpkins with the twins, Pound Cake fell into one of the pumpkins and smashed it into pieces but luckily I brought extra pumpkins, Pumpkin Cake didn’t really know how to carve a pumpkin-

W-w-wait! What does carving pumpkins with the twins have to do with how you got here?!

I’m getting there Twilight! Ahem! There was a customer that entered the shop so I went to greet them; this customer looked a lot like me! (If I was dressed like a terrifying clown) I thought it was a changeling but it looked like a nightmare night costume so I didn’t question it. So I introduced myself to the pony and he told me that he was the Guardian of Joy known as Kofuku (he even sounded like me!) He looked around and asked “Is there a party happening here? Because it needs more pink” and I told him “not really, they’re just decorations for nightmare night; though I wish I had enough time to do all of them” he leaned over to me and said “Hey! Maybe I can help with decorating, it will be great, spooky and pink but most importantly… pink!”

So… he likes the color pink, but how did-

yawn! What in tarnation? Where am I?

Applejack! I thought you were-!

Applejack! You’re awake, now you get to hear how I ended up here!

You ponies are static quite the courageous bunch static

Now where was I? Oh yeah; So, Kofuku helped me decorate for nightmare night until he sliced my hoof off! But I was able to reattach my hoof. Kofuku saw how I could be pulled apart and put back together and he invited me to his home. So he pulled a door out of his mane and opened it, I entered the door and he followed me.

That is how I got here!

So this Kofuku didn’t try to eat you?

Nope, he was actually really nice; Kofuku just wanted to make a new friend!

I don’t know if I should be relieved or worried.

That’s silly Twilight, not all of them are bad!

Okay Pinkie Pie, if you’re done; I would like to continue the story.
