When Species Collide (A Fluttercord Story)

“Captain Wuzz! Squizzard on your left!” Garbunkul, a very short magician yelled as our hero, Captain Wuzz, hero of all Spytopia, fired a flaming arrow at Squizzard, the evilest thing in all of Spytopia. It missed him but stopped him as the fire spread around him.

“That should buy us some time, but not much, Is Sir Mcbiggen at the castle?” Captain Wuzz asked.

“Nope.” The black knight, Sir Mcbigeen said as he then appeared behind the two and held a stone in his hoof.

“The stone of sanctuary, thank goodness it’s recovered!” Garbunkul said with happiness in his voice.

“Quickly, Schmerdy’s waiting for us at the base, and it looks like the fire’s almost out!” Captain Wuzz said as our three heroes ran as fast as they could away from Squizzard, who had extinguished the fire that captured him and was ready for a lengthy battle. He summoned his many soldiers as soon as they, along with him surrounded our heroes.

“There’s too many of them!” Garbunkul exclaimed as the soldiers carried their bows and arrows at will, ready for attack.

“GiVe Up ThE sToNe Or DiE!” The Squizzard exclaimed with laughter in his annoying voice.

“Nope!” Sir Mcbiggen exclaimed as the soldiers came closer for our three heroes.

“This would be a perfect time for a powerful spell Garbunkul!” Captain Wuzz said with panic in his voice.

“It seems so, how about…Cyclone Loop!” Garbunkul exclaimed as he cast a cyclone spell, causing all the nearby soldiers to be flung far away, leaving our three heroes…and the big bad Squizzard.

“YoU mAy HaVe DeFeAtEd My ArMy….BuT yOu’Ll NeVeR dEfEaT mE!!” The Squizzard yelled as he fired his spells at our three heroes. These spells consisted of lighting bolts, poisonous arrows, and magical lasers. It was a very long battle but slowly, our three heroes were about to defeat the Squizzard for good as Captain Wuzz had a clear shot to fire one last flaming arrow to defeat the evil once and for all.

“Say goodnight Squizzard!” Captain Wuzz said as he was about to fire the last arrow when something…or somepony caught his attention.

Amid the battle, Captain Wuzz saw a vision of beauty in the forest, a pony named Lady Fauna. She had a white robe with golden bracelets on her front hooves, one blue and one purple flower in her mane, and two deer antlers. Captain Wuzz saw her trotting in the nearby forest…and froze at her beauty. He could feel his eyes changing from a few circles to one heart in each of his two eyes, and then he dropped his bow, as the Squzzard shot a poisonous arrow at him, causing him to collapse.

“CAPTAIN WUZZ!!” Both Garbunkul and Sir Mcbiggen exclaimed as they received poisonous arrows. They collapsed, gravity forcing them to the ground, and the Squizzard picked up the sanctuary stone.

“FinAlLy, ThE sToNe Is MINE!!!” Squizzard exclaimed as he then let out a villainous roar of laughter. “NoW i CaN dO wHaTeVeR i WaNt!!”

“Not so fast!” Captain Wuzz said as he snapped his fingers and the game world reset itself, with our three heroes in the middle of the world.

“Discord, what was that? You had a clear shot!” Spike, a dragon with green spikes and purple skin asked frustrate.

“Well it wasn’t my fault, I just lost my concentration on Lady Fauna, she can be so distractingly beautiful,” Discord said as he crossed his arms.

“Yep!” Big Mac, a red pony who was a stallion of few words said as he nodded his head.

“Wait a sec, Fluttershy only played with us last time, how was her character here in the game?” Spike asked as Discord could feel his face turning pink.

"Well….It….it must have been a simple mistake on me, nothing more than that!” Discord blurted out quickly.

“Nope!” Big Mac said as Spike then looked at him with a little smile on his face.

“You put her in the game on purpose, didn’t you?” Spike asked as Discord then let out a sign of defeat.

“Yes, I…I did. I thought her presence would give me the strength I needed to defeat the Sqizzard, but she and her beauty only distracted me.” Discord said as Big Mac then approached his friend.

“Uh, could it be possible that you have feelings…for Fluttershy?” Big Mac asked as Discord’s mind went into maximum overdrive in less than a second.

“What? Of course not, you're just being ridiculous! Did that poison arrow do something to your head? Did that fall hurt you? Did the game do something to you?” Discord shouted quickly and loudly in panic as his face turned so pink that it could be mistaken for a big scoop of strawberry ice cream.

“You like her, don’t you Discord?” Spike asked as Discord knew he was outmatched this time, he couldn’t just snap his fingers and things would disappear, although they would, just not this time.

“Ugh, alright, I……might…and that’s a considerable might…have feelings for her.” Discord said quickly and quietly as his face turned pinker by the second.

“You finally admitted it! I was wondering if this day would come!” Spike said as he along with Big Mac then went over and comforted their friend.

“She’s…she’s just….so….amazing. She’s so kind, awesome, but I don’t want to lose her…my first real friend.” Discord said as he snapped his fingers and summoned a picture of himself… and Fluttershy, his love into his right paw.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so…in love with somepony before.” Big Mac said.

“I…I’m not sure I’ve ever felt this way before.” Discord said. “Ever since Twilight’s coronation, all my thoughts are about her. She’s on my mind, all the time and even in my dreams.”

“Is it possible that you want to date her?” Spike asked as Discord then looked at both of his friends.

“Well……I’m not sure. It’s just…I want to hear all about her day…tell her about mine, I want to be there for her when she’s alone, I want to be there to lift her spirits, and maybe fall asleep with her…I want to be by her every day, every hour……” Discord said as he felt tears forming underneath his eyes.

“I felt the same way when I first met Sugarbell…now look at us.” Big Mac said.

“How did you two do it? Well, more specifically you Big Mac.” Discord said.

“Hey, Rarity and I are close friends!” Spike said with anger in his voice.

“Well…with the CMC and even with Timber in the way…I added more room for her to bake her goods…something she’d wanted for a long time…and things just fell into place,” Big Mac explained as Discord stroked his little beard.

“So what you're saying is that I need to do something for Fluttershy that means a lot to her, then I can make my move?” Discord asked.

“Yep!” Big Mac said just as a happy smile appeared on Discord’s face.

"YES! I’m finally going to do it! I’m finally going to ask out Fluttershy!!” Discord exclaimed as fireworks of him and Fluttershy appeared in the sky and Discord then began to break dance, all while keeping this happy smile on his face.

“Say, the perfect time would be when you two have tea together.” Spike said. “Oh right! I’m supposed to meet her in a few hours! I’m sorry to dip on guy’s time but I must get going!” Discord said as he snapped them back to Ponyville and into Sweet Apple Acers. Discord then proceeded to put up a jacket and a hat.

“Good luck!” Spike and Big Mac exclaimed as Discord rushed out while making a plan in his head, it wouldn’t be too difficult to execute and it would surely win over Fluttershy. Discord could feel the excitement in his body as he headed over to Fluttershy’s cottage.
