Alex said, looking at the security guard who had stopped him from entering the building and had taken him to a secure area in the building to be searched throughly, when the officers examined the “weapons” they were relieved to find out that they were all 100% made out of styrofoam and empty soup cans. Afterwards Alex was let go with a warning, about bringing such props without verifying the rules, but seeing as it wasn’t serious enough to warrant an arrest.
Alex sighed in relief in avoiding jail time and missing the event because of someone small, but was very careful to avoid making any additional trouble as he walked around the convention. Staff and security were already alerted of Alex presence and props, so they were calm but alert.
“This place is huge!” Alex said out loud, seeing the vast amount of people walking through the convention. Looking around, Alex could see various stalls and booths set up for fans and newcomers alike, before seeing a few men in beige olive uniforms wearing a emblem on their arms which made Alex’s heart skip a beat. The Diamond Dog Emblem. Rushing over, Alex put on a goofy smile before slowed down to a stop, reminding himself that he came into the event alone.
That’s what Alex and Venom, which felt were both deserved to be lonely, anyone who gets close to them gets their days/life ruined and when they try to pull back in, it only gets worse off for them. So with frown to replace the goofy grin on his face, Alex walked away from the group just as another member of their group that was dressed as Big Boss walked up to them.
Alex walked around the convention, looking at more of the stalls that peeked his curiosity about it. Looking at the stall, there were a couple of small horse like figurines on display, which caused a small smile on his face. Reaching down and picking up the small purple figurine, Alex looked at the surprisingly good details on it and took a liking to it before buying from the vender for a few bucks, placing the toy into the small satchel that held his impromptu smoke grenades. Shortly walking to another stall across the aisle that was quite small to be seen as a venders stall but a voice called out from in the stall.
“Welcome stranger, how may I help you on this wonderful day?”
The vender walked out of the small stall, completely dressed head to toe like the Resident Evil 4 merchant which completely looked legit if it didn’t happen to be a convention costume. Alex responded with a smile as he spoke, “Good day humble merchant, I’m looking for a souvenir from the convention and seeing your impressive work on costume design was quite the eye catcher.”
The merchant was very surprised, someone had actually appreciated the hard work his well crafted outfit was made which made them glad that for the first time, a customer appreciated them despite those who bartered with him and were sent into various dimensions for his sick pleasure. The merchant nodded before responding, “I see you have an eye on quality and that’s a respectable quality in merchants and buyers.”
“Of course, if their quality is god awful or downright defective it’s terrible for business. The best for any respectable merchant like yourself puts your absolute best attire before your best item.” Alex said, happily enjoying a conversation with a fellow merchant. Although Alex was only a delivery driver for Amazon, Alex was well respected for both the quality and conditions the cargo arrived at the destination.
The merchant smiled behind their mask before bringing out a few high quality items from behind his counter, one of them being a fully fictional red and black biotic arm with an olive headband and a rustic eyepatch before asking, “What would you like to offer for such a beautiful piece of work that myself made.” Alex looked at the biotic arm, completely entranced by not only its beautiful craftsmanship but its materials and expert authenticity. Alex looked up at the merchant, wishing to see the persons facial expressions to really determine the price before giving his answer, “It’s all excellent work and highly detailed, you could get possibly millions off the biotic arm alone… unfortunately I only have a couple hundred dollars to save myself from accidentally emptying my wallet and not have anything for rent.. what would you be willing to barter it for…?”
The merchant smiled, very happy to haggle with the young man before speaking, “How about three hundred for it all?” Alex eyes widened, the offer was absolutely perfect for him and it left him breathing room to buy anything else at the convention. So with smile Alex gave a simple response, “that’s a dealbreaker right there but I’m going to offer for three hundred and twenty five dollars for it. It’s after all such a beauty that I can’t help but put a little more cash into it.”
Alex pulled out his satchel and pulled out the three hundred and twenty five dollars for the purchase, the merchant happily took the cash and even slid a small idroid as a bonus. The merchant smiled softly before saying his famous words, “Come back anytime..”
Nodding, Alex walked away from the stall, storing the souvenirs in his satchel before heading towards the food court as his stomach rumbled for some good food.
It was later in the day, 4:37 pm to be exact, and after having a pretty light lunch Alex was walking towards the lobby for the exit when a someone screamed. Looking over, there was a man dressed as skull face from Metal Gear Phantom Pain holding hostage who looked exactly like the Big Boss while holding a small trigger. Alex thought it was silly that they were making such a mess as he walks up to the group, there were protests of not getting involved by the people watching the event.
The man cosplaying as Skull Face was making threats to blow himself up, but when Alex walked up behind the man before pulling them apart, to separate them from the situation that was rapidly rising, the man pressed the trigger before the the world went white.
Pain exploded through Alex’s body, his mind swimming through his memories, reliving certain events that seemed very real. Alex could remember Mother Base’s destruction as if he was there, the feeling of metal pressing down on his skull, the absolute pain of glass shards cutting his right eye, the various amounts of blunt and sharp objects piercing his flesh and the feeling of life leaving his body as the gun shot to his gut sentenced him to a slow death.
However death was not the end, Alex’s eye opened wide as life entered his body. Alex’s eye looked left and right, seeing the lush trees that hid the suns bright rays from hitting him. With a loud groan, Alex sat upright slowly, pain still lingering in his body as his right hand felt his chest to examine the damage from the explosion. What caught Alex’s attention was how his left hand wasn’t feeling quite right, looking over to see what was wrong was a mistake for Alex.
Alex’s left arm was gone…
Alex’s left arm was fucking gone….
Alex started to breathe quickly feeling absolutely terrified of what he was feeling right now but it completely felt normal to have no real left arm. Alex reached into his satchel before pulling out the red biotic arm and attaching the arm. Pulling out a phantom cigar, Alex could’ve sworn that it was a prop before but he didn’t question it as he raised the Idroid and lit up the cigar. Taking in a puff as the environment around him felt as it was being sped up as Alex pulled out his eye patch before putting it on.
Venom has arrived in equestria… what will happen to the world that he has arrived into…
