//-------------------------------------------------------// Iron Man -by Mango000- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Business As Usual //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Business As Usual It's another day In Ponyville, I'm a human who goes by Mangola, though that's just a nickname I picked up for myself since I don't like my real name being known, and I'm stealth camping in the bushes, just looking at the ponies going by. The week has been a bit weird, between getting sucked into this world where Ponies fly and the where magic is real, I also found out that ponies are racist. Yep, life has been weird, but managed to keep on the down low for a while, for some odd reason nobody went into the forest near ponyville, so since no one wanted to be there, it was only natural for me to take a bit of the forest. Luckily before being zapped into Equestria, I prepared for a storm and had a bunch of supplies in my backpack, these supplies helped me stealth camp outside of certain buildings without being seen. Sometimes pondering to myself if it's really worth hiding from this world, but then again, it seemed like the ponies in this place were always doing something fucking stupid. Acting as if Zecora was a wild beast was aggravating to see, walking up towards her and accidentally scaring her was probably not the best introduction, but it needed to be done. Introductions were exchanged and soon, we became friends and conversed over some cultural differences between my world and this one. Zecora reminds me a lot of an old lady who used to visit my family back in my younger days, and in a sense, she brings a sense of nostalgia that wasn't felt in my mind for a while. Before leaving, my curious ass asked her a fuck ton of questions about this place, which leads to me learning that there are two princesses who move The Moon and The Sun. The names of these princesses are Celestia and Luna. My mind short circuited at that idea, two ponies ruling over this place and having control of the fucking moon and sun? It's like saying that the sky is green or something like that. Anyways, Zecora went on and said that this “Luna” was apparently banished to the moon after she threw a hissy fit and became Nightmare Moon, an emo version of Luna. Apparently being sealed inside the moon for 1,000 years until recently, where 6 ponies helped Luna, however these 6 ponies were the ones that acted racist towards Zecora. The purple one tried to ease their fears, but, from my experience, ignorance is bliss and the fact that this was a country town already spelled it out for me. After leaving her house, the racist ass ponies showed up to her door and were hounding her with questions. Watching from the trees made my blood boil, yet doing nothing to help her against the equine KKK, however, if I got involved, it would further fuck things in case they accuse her of summoning me from the depths of whatever hell these ponies have. But it hurt me emotionally to see Zecora get hounded by these pastel racists. That's why I'm stealth camping here, to study what abilities these creatures have, how likely they are to harm me, and most of all, study their culture, dialect, anything to protect me and Zecora. It's been 5 hours, my curiosity has been peaked, seeing the intriguing parallels of these ponies and human society, the more time passes the less and less ponies are outside, eventually night dawns and made my way back into the woods. Through the darkness, my night vision goggles keep me going towards my underground shelter. It was a pit that was deep enough to set up a shelter, and shield me from whatever bullshit exists out here. Luckily, if anything tried to fuck with me, my pistol should send back to whatever depths of hell it came from. The little patch of grass that was blue signified where the entrance is, pulling up the makeshift wood panel made with Zecora’s help, heading into my underground abode which has a solar lantern, I turn to my items carried over from Earth. My mini stove, clothes, food, mainly MRE’s and Ramen, plus a sleeping bag, a couple of books and surprisingly, a solar charger with my stupid ass forgetting that it was even packed with everything else, strangely my phone came in with me as well. Of course there was no service available, but it had some stuff that kept me entertained, like the shows that were downloaded fuck knows how long ago, my nights here thus far have been spent cooking the stuff I have and eating it while watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. Everything was set for about a couple days, maybe a week or so at most, but eventually, it would have to come to me hunting and starting forage for things until either getting too tired being alone and making myself known to the ponies or starving to death. The more likely option was the former rather than the latter, although it is tough to say whether they will help me acclimate to pony society or just leave me out here. Zecora also told me that ponies here don't eat meat, so it would probably be taboo if I started hunting animals, even more so because of the yellow pony having an animal sanctuary, from what I've heard. Apparently the only creatures known to eat meat in this place are Griffins, as they are known to be carnivores. Actually, the zebra told me I had a lot of similarities with Griffins, from the eyes to the temperament, as well as the dietary needs of course. It seems tempting to try and find out where these Griffins live exactly, maybe getting to know creatures similar to my own can help me in some type of way, maybe hunting to feed their kin should warm them up to me, or perhaps they're even more racist. Not an impossibility given how dodgy human relations are with our own brethren, maybe asking Zecora about it tomorrow morning should give me more about where they live and how they operate, potentially seeing how integrating with them could work, hopefully everything goes smoothly. Turning off the lantern, I get into my sleeping bag and shut my eyes. Tomorrow is a new day but sleeping is kinda a problem for me, so it takes a while for my brain to go into shutdown mode. Waking up, it's early and slinking out of my sleeping bag, getting up, making my way out of the shelter and to a small lake nearby, granted using it isn't ideal, but it'll have to work, thankfully Zecora was nice enough to give me one of her body wash treatments that were contained in a glass bottle. After washing myself up, it was time to head out to Zecora's Hut, the trek wasn't that far for me, only around a 5 minute walk from what could be told. Knocking on her door, she opens it and welcomes me in. Zecora smiles warmly at me ”Hello my friend, I am happy to see you again". Answering dryly, I say “Sup, has anything new happened so far, or has it been a slow day here?”. The Zebra chuckles a bit and relaxes on one of the couches she has “The day has just begun, but soon, it will be done”. She always rhymes her words, and that's the one thing ticking me off about her, my brain scrambles to try and figure out what she means. “Uh yeah, I suppose it is too early to tell, if the day will surely be well”, I said a bit surprised at my accidental rhyme. Zecora blinks surprisingly at me, she smiled a bit as talking to her in a rhyme was something that doesn't come naturally to me. Scratching the back of my neck, sighing tiredly, my dry mouth moved. “I don't know what that was, but I didn't do it on purpose, my brain isn't really good with rhymes to be honest”. Zecora chuckles as she waves her hooves, dismissing my weird statement “I guess you have learned my rhymes, given how long we spent last time”. Feeling a bit awkward, I respond. “Probably, picking up lingo with someone you conversed with for a while isn't extraordinary I guess”. She gets up from the couch, and sits me at a table, “Have you had anything to eat?”. “Nah, normally I eat at 11 or 12, drinking coffee is my thing which powers me up for the day”. Zecora blinks and gives me a cup of tea, ”It may not be the same as coffee, but I am sure you will enjoy this tea”. Picking up the drink and slurping it, my mouth tasted the herbs in it, as well as the caffeine. I wasn't a big fan of this blend, but it'll have to do, can't complain about hospitality, otherwise it'll make me look spoiled. “So, do you know anything more about these Griffins? You told me that I was very similar to them in a lot of ways, do you know where they live?”, I asked curiously. Zecora nods and goes to some random bookshelf and pulls out a map, she rolls it out on the table for me to see, her hoof points to a far corner of the map. “This is Griffinstone, perhaps you are wanting to stay there, as it is similar to your home”. Noticing that there's a huge ass body of water separating it from this land, causes me to contemplate my options. Looking at where Ponyville was on the map, it seems like the easiest option would be to integrate with the ponies, however they haven't made a good first impression. Especially with the pink one singing a song about how evil Zecora is, starting to scratch the back of my head, my options were starting to narrow. Perhaps trying to get to Griffinstone would be worth it, however given how far it is and how primitive the technology of this world was made the trip all the more difficult, especially since I would be heading to the edge of the known world according to the map. Not to mention the fact that these Griffins could be more aggressive than the ponies, given I've never seen any Griffins and it would be unfair and hypocritical for me to judge, it's too much of a gamble for me to leg it over there. Slumping back in contemplation causes Zecora to look at me a bit worryingly, of course this snapped back to reality and caused me to sigh. “I’m just weighing by options, the ponies of this town haven't made a good first impression and for that I feel weary around them seeing as how they treated you”. Zecora blinks in surprise. “I am surprised that you came to this conclusion, but I assure you that not all of them fall into this delusion”. Relaxing a bit, my mind seriously considers perhaps joining this pony society, although it's still not really a good option yet. Before uttering another word, Zecora grabs a book from herself and slides it over to me. Glancing at the title, my eyes widened with intrigue. “The Harmonious tale of the Humans, and how they formed Equestria”, was the title, written by Dr. Wolf Callahan. I open the book and start reading, my eyes are glued to these pages, this changes how I see this place. The names of the Princesses, the architecture of Canterlot, everything is so Roman here, and according to this book, the Romans or known as "Humans" in this world, definitely had a huge part to play in constructing the foundation of Equestria. But, as soon as my eyes scan the next page, there's frantic knocking at the door. Zecora gets up to go see who it was, and since apparently Humans were seen as legends in this world, maybe making myself known isn't as bad of an idea as previously thought. As she opens the door, who else should be there but the four ponies, they were the key to my understanding of this place, however, they looked vastly different from when I last saw them. The ponies were standing there, but they soon jumped out of the way as a blue blur came rocketing throughout the hut. Before the blue mare with wings could do any damage, my arm reached out and grabbed her rainbow tail. As the skittle haired one was about to glare at me, her eyes widened as well as the others who looked at me wide eyed. Soon, a small, squeaky voice came from somewhere. “A…A human?”, the voice chirped. Examining the rainbow haired pony closer, I found an even smaller orange pony on top of her back, with a lasso, and a hat. Turning my head around, the other 4 looked at me with awe, as Zecora chuckled. “I see you are all afflicted with some sort of illness”, the Zebra looked at the six ponies, and the purple one spoke up. “What have you done with Apple bloom?”, she barked out. Deciding that they were clearly aggressive, I made my way to the purple one, attempting to calm her down. “Hey, look, I know that this must be weird having a type of being that your kind hasn't seen in over a thousand plus years must be overwhelming, but I want to know what's going on. You've been attacking Zecora, acting as if she were going to harm you lot, but I can assure you that this Zebra has been nothing but a kind soul for me, so politely fuck off”. The purple one was genuinely taken aback by this, as well as her cohorts, however, she stammered something. “Where is Applebloom? I know this Zebra must've done something with her!”, she bellowed out. “And she put a spell on all of us so that we have these horrific and vile blemishes”, the white one spoke up. My head turns to Zecora, who is as confused as I am. “Alright, let's unpack this one at a time”, my voice calmed. “So what happened to this Applebloom? Is she missing or something?” The tiny pony spoke up, “My little sister went missing as soon as we showed up to this house”. “And we assumed that this Zebra had kidnapped her”, the white one said. The pink one with her tongue stuck out nudged the yellow one to say something, the yellow one sighed. “And Pinkie here believes that this Zebra has decided to cook her into a stew,” her deep voice caught me a bit by surprise, but regaining a bit of my composure, my hand covered my face for a bit. “So you think Zecora here cooked the orange pony’s sister into a stew, am I right?”, my voice reeked of being done with this bullshittery. “Well not exactly cooked into a stew, but rather taken captive or something of that nature”, the purple one said a bit nervously. Me and Zecora looked at each other confused, but slowly started to understand what these ponies were going about. Suddenly, all of us hear a young childlike voice screaming bloody murder from outside, as my body moves before my brain to check where the noise was coming from, bolting out the door as if I was running from a house fire. My brain registered it was coming further into the forest, sprinting towards the screaming child noise that got louder and louder, but, another noise could also be heard as well. Something like a beast was heard growling, and soon, the source of the noises was found, a huge wolf-like thing made out of wood was inching closer and closer to a small pony with a red ribbon in her hair, crying. “Applejack! Somepony! Please Help!”, Applebloom cried out. I marched towards the two and pulled out my gun, pointing it at the wolf thing, our eyes met as we stared, my body got in the way of its prey, and it showed anger in its eyes, like the flaming pit of hell, but it must've seen something in my eyes as well, because the wolf creature soon backed off from me and Applebloom, going back into the deepest crevices of the forest it came from. Looking back, the red haired pony looked at me shocked and surprised. “Y-your a Hu-”, she staggered out, but soon we both heard the rapidly clopping of a bunch of ponies, presumably the 6 ponies looking for Applebloom. And like clockwork they showed up, a mix of shock and relief on their faces, but also one of pain. The small pony ran up to the orange one and said, ”That human saved my life!”. Looking at the ponies as she said this, they're eyes widened and stared at me, and soon Zecora showed up as well, looking relieved. “It's not safe this deep into the forest, we should go back to Zecora's hut, if you want to of course”, my voice was still a bit panicked from the wolf thing but that was to be expected. The 7 ponies nodded, as well as Zecora, so we made our way back to the hut. After that happened, things started to calm down, soon the 6 ponies apologized for their insensitive actions as they found out the true cause of their ailments, which stemmed from a flower known as Poison Joke. Because of this, Zecora agreed to make a cure for this, and asked for them to get her a bath type thing in Ponyville while she grabbed her ingredients. A couple hours later, I was in the spa of this small town, with six mares who looked relatively relaxed as Zecora cured them of their ailments, they no longer looked bizarre and were talking with each other about random things. My mind was wandering around, until I felt a hoof tap on my foot. “Um, heya mister?”, Applebloom asked with a hint of caution. “Yeah?”, my voice told her in a somewhat unamused tone. “I was wondering, why did you save me from that Timberwolf? And why did it back away from you?”, she asked. My mind went blank on that, now that she mentioned it, why did this so-called Timberwolf back away from me? Was it because I was more intimidating? Or perhaps it hadn't seen humans before and didn't know what to make of me. It wouldn't surprise me if it retreated out of fear, as the book about Humans in Equestria did say something about there being almost no Timberwolves around that era. Of course before reading more about that, the 6 ponies came into Zecora's place, and as they say, the rest is history. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Questions //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Questions After that little interaction with Applebloom, the filly went to reunite with the orange pony who grew back to her normal size again, apparently the orange one was named Applejack. Before arriving here, the six ponies told me their names. It was a bit unnerving to be walking with them and still is to be honest, but this interaction does paint them differently than a couple days ago. Then something came to my mind, and I went to go talk to the mane 6. Of course, they were enjoying themselves and chatting amongst each other. Approaching their bath-like thing my leg felt like it had a hoof on it, turning around to find out Applejack was behind me. “I wanna thank you for saving my younger sister, and I'm sorry we treated your friend Zecora the way we did, but…”, Applejack paused as looked towards her sister laughing with Twilight and Zecora. “Why did ya save my sis?”, she asked with a bit of an emotional lisp to her voice. Sighing, my hand scratched at her neck, which caused Applejack to blush. “To be honest, I don't know why I did it and preferably will never know, sometimes your brain moves before your body, and frankly, someone whose species is mystical in this world, it's a fool's errand trying to understand trying to understand human motives”, my voice caused Applejack to stare at me with the same expression Applebloom gave me. “I know about the legend of my kind, and that book Zecora gave you told us everything we knew about Humans, but seeing it for myself is something else entirely”, she stated. My body instinctively shrugged, and looked outside, the sun was setting, and it's a long way back to my place. Sighing in what was a tired and angry breath, my body moved to the door. “Wait!”, Twilight said in a panicked way as she climbed to get out of the bath and galloped over towards me. “Where have you been staying if you've been here for a week?”, her panicky voice asked. My eyebrows raise, “In the forest? Like deep inside the forest”, her eyes widened and contorted into a face of shock and fear. “No no no no, that won't do for a creature as legendary as you, I will be offering my place if you want to, and I'm sure the other 4 would be open to you staying with them”, she stammered out. “Plus, the Everfree is dangerous, I can't believe that you decided to stay in that dangerous area for that long, even Zecora tells me she doesn't live that deep inside the forest”, her voice blabbered on. Hmmm, seems like a tempting offer, honestly it would be beneficial for me to go and stay with one of these mares, of course they probably would be interested in the stuff I have, but that's to be expected. Looking at the 5 mares, it's troubling to decide who to stay with, but for some reason, my gut tells me to go with Rarity. “Is it possible if Rarity could be a good option?” My voice is a bit uncertain about this, Twilight goes back to ask Rarity and comes trotting back with a smile on her face. “She said yes and she's happy that you'll be staying with her!”, Twilight squeals for some reason. “Alright, so tell her I'll be there probably at nighttime because I have a lot of stuff to pack, alright?”, telling Twilight this caused her ears to droop a bit as she heard me, but, taking this opportunity, deciding to get out the door was my best chance to get my stuff in time. Running through town and into the forest, it soon becomes evening and without my night vision goggles, it's a bit of a pain, but I find my place. Because of how dark it is, it would probably be best if staying here for the night would be a better idea. So, deciding to play it safe, spending my night here would be a good plan, unfortunately this has the side effect of the others worrying about me, but it's a lot safer than going out again, lugging around my stuff. Closing the top of my hideout, doing my nightly ritual of cooking, eating and watching stuff on my phone, before settling in for the night. Soon enough, morning came, and before heading out it was time to pack all my supplies into my bag, and grab everything within my area. After everything is set and done, perhaps for the final time, my hands shut the place that was my shelter for a week, and set off to Zecora's hut to get the book about humans I had been reading the day before. Knocking on her door, Zecora opens it and is happy to see me, but her face shows a bit of concern. Of course this probably had to do with me sleeping out here again last night after telling Twilight that I would be staying with Rarity. Come to think of it, that purple unicorn is a ball of anxiety. My thoughts were interrupted when Zecora got the book from her shelf and gave it to me, soon packing it into my bag and setting out for Ponyville. The walk towards the town was weirdly arduous and nerve racking. Like how would the ponies react to me, despite humans being a legend around here, there's a fear of being popular amongst these pastel ponies. It's just that living a quiet life has become something that I've gotten comfortable with, and when everybody knew me, it was just something that unnerves me now. Before coming to Equestria, something bothered me about being famous after stopping a potential school shooting, granted the threat could've been a joke, but you never know, it was something that changed me, and how I thought. Still, trying to dismiss it as if it weren't a big deal is something that I default to, it's something that my mind still can't articulate. However, Ponyville lay in front of me, taking a deep breath, I stepped out of the forest and into the town. The ponies here were relatively relaxed, but of course there were those who stared at me with shock and Awe. Of course this was to be expected as Humans were legends in this land, the architecture of Canterlot from what could be described definitely was a sort of an homage to Roman architecture. Soon, an ornate building that seemed out of place amongst the simple architecture caught my attention, and assumed it was probably Rarity's place, of course it was relatively obvious given the white and purple colors that complemented the design. It did look like an actual carousel and honestly, I kinda smiled. I've sometimes had an appreciation for the little things, and architecture was one of those things, my eyes were glued onto the structure for a while and while it wasn't as big or fancy as some of the buildings back in my world, it still held up quite nicely honestly. Soon, I felt something bump into me. Looking down, a white small unicorn with pink and lavender hair looked up at me dazed, the filly's eyes widened as she shook her head and did a double take. “Y-your a Human?! I thought they were just myths”, the filly unicorn stammered out. “And Nightmare Moon was also a myth, wasn't she”, snarkily pointing out the small filly's logic. She stared up at me confused but then got excited. “Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I need to take you to Rarity, she'll-”, The small filly was cut off by the door opening from Rarity's place. “Sweetie Belle, I've been looking for you”, Rarity said in a sing-song voice, but then soon the marshmallow mare looked at me as the filly unicorn (who was named Sweetie Belle) tried to tug at my pant leg. Of course not moving because why would I honestly? Being a lazy ass is just part of my personality, ain't no way in hell I'm moving from this spot. Soon, Rarity rushed over and started hounding me about why I didn't go to her place last night, scratching the back of my head and shrugging, simply telling her,” It's because by the time I tried to get my things, it was already night, so figuring it would be safer to just camp out there, rather than risking running into anything else”. Rarity sighed, my point was logical and made sense, but still, she seemed to be ticked off. “Do you know how much Twilight was freaking out last night? I've never seen a mare so…so…”, Rarity’s voice trailed off as she tried to find the right word to describe Twilight's behavior the night before. “Anxiety Ridden?”, I responded. Rarity nods, “She told me today that she hasn't slept all night and worried sick about you spending your time so deep within that dangerous forest”. “Honestly besides that one Timberwolf encounter, nothing really jumped out at me, it's just the silence that unnerves me a bit, but that's all”, simply replying to Rarity’s statement. She harrumphed and soon led me and Sweetie Belle into her domain. The place was filled with dresses, mannequins, and whatever else you'd see in a boutique store. Surprisingly the place seemed bigger on the inside rather than the outside, as we walked through the store, there were steps visible to an upper floor of the building, and Sweetie Belle was soon galloping upstairs for something. Soon, I turned back to Rarity, and she gave a calm smile, and soon asked me to come upstairs with her. Obliging her request, we soon went upstairs, the stairs were a bit small for me as of course it wasn't meant for humans, but soon we reached the upper floor, looking like a standard house hallway. She motioned to a door and opened it with her magic, as I went in and saw laid my heavy backpack on the bed. “This is your room, of course it's probably more comfortable than that hole you must've been living in”, Rarity chirped with enthusiasm. Honestly, I don't know what to say to that, but to keep the mare happy, shrugging seemed to be the best way to acknowledge her request. Soon grabbing the zipper and opening my bag, Rarity looked a bit surprised by all the tech I had in here, and asked me about them as I unpacked everything. “Um darling, what are those things you have in your bag?”, She asked. “Just my phone, solar charger, some MRE’s, a pack of Ramen, a solar lantern and some other stuff”, simply responding. She tilted her head, as she saw me take out my gun, as I placed it inside a drawer. “Hey Rarity, do you have a case by any chance, I need to get my gun”, I said a bit darkly which unnerved the white mare, she nodded and went to go and grab a case. Honestly while I did like having my gun with me as it solved a lot of problems, it also created a bunch more. Back on Earth you got a lot of shit from people who say that you can't own these “Machines of War”, and a fuck ton of regulation from the three letter agencies. Especially the Ass Tracking Fuck Agency or the ATF as they're commonly known as, thank goodness Equestria has not found out about how to regulate these things. Then again magic does exist here, so it's probably not worth it to bring or purchase guns, wait, have these ponies invented guns yet? My train of thought soon entered the station as Rarity came in and gave me a case with a lock on it, she floated it over to me with her magic and I placed my gun in there and set my own code for the case. Rarity looked puzzled at me and asked,”Um, wait…what's your name again, my apologies but I don’t remember your name?”, she sheepishly smiled and slightly blushed from embarrassment. “I go by Mangola, it's a nickname”, Simply telling the marshmallow mare. “Ah, I see…so why exactly did you need to put that weird shaped tool in a locked case again?”, she asked quite curiously. “It's my gun, or rather my pistol, I take it that you ponies have no idea what a gun is, or how dangerous they are”, I spoke while looking out the window and down at what I believe to be the south side of Ponyville, or was it the West? “Dangerous? How so?”rarity asked, a bit nervous in her voice. “It's complicated, but if something dangerous happens, you'll probably see it in action taking “out” the danger”, simply responding. Rarity looked at the case and then back at me, awkward silence soon entering the room, wandering through the mass expanse of my mind, I was lost, trying to suppress my emotions. It's a lot to take in, I'm not a very social person, and being thrusted into a new place was never my strong suit. Moving 3 times to vastly different places back on Earth really fucked with me and it's even worse with my mental condition. Before even noticing, Rarity left the room, leaving me to stew with my thoughts on everything. Yesterday really was a social battery draining experience, while heading to ponyville with the “Mane 6” as they're group was known as, the purple one, Twilight, asked me a whole bunch of questions. Granted, she was nice about it, but still, it wasn't really a good mood for me to be answering questions at the time. So naturally, I didn't respond to any of her words or motions or anything. It's funny because I used to be more of a social butterfly, but now it's just draining for me. Any interaction with someone just leaves me emotionally drained, and honestly, it's tiring. Turning around, the door soon closes as my hand turns the knob, and soon, it's time to test how comfy the bed is. On first impressions, it isn't half bad, and the bed is actually kinda comfy. So, deciding to change my clothes which…wait…how long have I stayed with the same thing on? After taking in my long overdue realization, it's time to rummage through my bag to see if anything in here is clean, of course there's some stuff in here and I sigh. Soon, I changed and just relaxed on my bed, and pulled out my phone. It's 89% and looking pretty good, the solar charger is a godsend, although speaking of which, something about the language these ponies use is kinda weird, like using somepony instead of somebody, or “oh my Celestia” instead of “oh my God”. Granted, it's not a total shock but still, it's an oddity. The day goes by and soon the night comes as the moon rises, Sweetie Belle is asleep, and Rarity is working on a new project with her new fashion line. And throughout all this time, I've been reading more about how apparently Humans have been in Equestria before, building some structures like a castle which Celestia and Luna would take over after the Humans were gone. The way this book describes the culture of early humans in Equestria sounds a lot like the Romans. Honestly, if I had to hazard a guess, maybe they found a wormhole and probably went back and forth until the collapse of the empire, as the book describes the end of human interaction within equestria as slowly dwindling down, not all out mass extinction. It's kinda funny seeing how what is virtually unknown culture to these ponies is one of the most influential civilizations in Human History that shaped the foundation of western society in my world. Also, it's implied in the book that Equestrians have never heard of Omnivores, and that raised my eyebrow, carnivores aren't unheard of, but omnivores are a foreign concept to these ponies. I wonder how they'd react if I told them I'm both a meat and plant eater, they'd probably go fucking nuts, hopefully they don't make most of their stuff with peanuts here. Soon, my ears hear a knocking from my door and I get up to see who it is. Well of course it's probably Rarity, maybe Sweetie Belle but it's probably not. Opening the door, Rarity is standing right there, looking a bit tired, a strand of her mane is definitely out of place. “Darling, I prepared dinner for me and Sweetie Belle, if you want to join us, I'll be happy to serve you”, she says, her voice definitely is one that reeks of being exhausted. Considering that all these ponies eat is plant based, it figures that at least give their cuisine a try, so heading downstairs, soon making my way to the ornately designed kitchen and sat on the well designed chairs. Apparently the meal that I was given was some sort of stew with some broccoli, carrots and potatoes. Meh, not the worst thing I've ever seen, and for the most part it tasted pretty good, Sweetie Belle looked at me gorging down the meal as Rarity was nowhere to be found. “Um, mister?”, Sweetie Belle said with a hint of concern. Setting down the plate, I looked at the unicorn filly, and responded with ,“Anything happened while I was reading?”. “Yeah, it's about my sister”, she said “What about her?”, I stated in a neutral, yet caring tone. The young filly fidgeted nervously but soon stated her feelings. “Rarity was visited by her friends today as she was designing dresses for them to wear at the Gala, and they had some weird demands for the dresses. So she's been trying to make the designs as best as she could, but I saw what they looked like and…”, Sweetie Belle trailed off. “They sucked, didn't they?”, I ask nonchalantly. The filly nodded sheepishly, and I sighed. After finishing my meal, I soon got up and it was time to look for Rarity. Author's Note Sometimes these chapters will be released ahead of schedule but the average release date should be every month
