Spider-Man Reality Untangled: Episode II "Enter Electro"
It was a warm, lazy morning in the city of Canterlot. The sun shone brightly, and the city was alive with the soft hum of traffic. Down below, a young boy, dressed in a simple hoodie and jeans, was walking along the sidewalk. He had the air of a loner, casually strolling through the bustling streets with a sense of purpose.
The boy's name was Ben Mercer, but he was better known as Spider-Man – a hero who had been protecting the city for a few months now.
in that time he made friends with Six Girls Named Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer. there was also Arctic Ace who had only found out that Ben was Spider-Man a month ago at the battle of the bands. since then Arctic ace had been working to help One of the Dazzlings Sonata Dusk become a better person.
as Ben was swinging towards school he was happy that he'd actually be on time. principal Celestia had already given him way too many tardy slips.
Ben's day-to-day life was a unique one. By day, he was a normal high school student, attending classes, making friends, and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life. As the sun started to dip below the horizon, the city of Canterlot began to come to life with the hustle and bustle of evening routines. Ben continued walking, making his way towards Canterlot High. He was in a good mood, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of relief at the fact that he was actually going to make it to school on time today, a rare occurrence for him.
Ben swung through the city, the wind rustling his hair as he navigated the urban landscape. His thoughts raced, a mix of school, hero duties, and the people he cared for. Among the fleeting concerns and worries, one thought seemed to stand out more than the rest.
Suddenly, his train of thought was interrupted as the familiar sound of a siren echoed in the distance. Ben's mind immediately snapped back into action mode, senses on high alert. He paused in mid-swing, his eyes darting around the city, searching for the source of the siren.
Ben's gaze traced the trajectory of the siren, his frown deepening as he spotted the source of the disturbance. Sure enough, it was a police cruiser trailing a suspect. As the realization dawned upon him, Ben groaned inwardly, "Great, I'm going to be late for school because of some damn criminal again. Something's never change."
Meanwhile Sunset Shimmer was walking to school a smile plastered on her face, as she walked a Car sped by her at breakneck speed followed by Spider-Man who was Attached to the car by a web being dragged along the ground using a trashcan lid as a skateboard.
The grin on Sunset Shimmer's face faltered for a brief moment as she saw the scene unfolding before her. Ben, caught in a web and being dragged along the ground like a human skateboard, caused her to sigh. "Ugh, seriously? This again?" she muttered, rolling her eyes. "His attendance record is starting to look like an award at this point."
Sunset found herself shaking her head with a mix of amusement and annoyance. She continued walking towards Canterlot High, the rhythmic Sound of her steps breaking the silence of the early morning. On cue, she couldn't help but comment aloud, "This city's never boring, I'll give them that," she said, a slight laugh escaping her lips. "And I guess our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has a talent for being late for class."
As Sunset made her way through the halls of Canterlot High, she found herself crossing paths with Pinkie Pie, Arctic Ace, and Sonata Dusk, huddled together in a corner. Their animated giggles and chatter painted a lively picture of their conversation. Sunset recognized the three and approached them with a smile. "Hey, what's up, guys?" she greeted, leaning against a nearby locker.
The other three turned as soon as they heard Sunset's voice. Pinkie Pie, the peppy girl with an eye for detail, flashed her most infectious smile. "Hey, Sunset! We were just having a little chat!" she exclaimed, her voice as cheerful as ever.
Arctic Ace nodded in greeting, a warm smile on his face. "Yeah, we were just catching up on some stuff," he chimed in, casually leaning against the wall.
Sonata Dusk, the Reformed Villain and newest member of the group, voiced her curiosity directly and asked, "Speaking of Ben, where is he? He's usually here by now."
The mention of Ben's tardiness caused Sunset to let out a small sigh. "Yeah, he's kind of infamous for being late, unfortunately," she admitted with a chuckle. "He'll probably make an entrance any minute now."
Ben's entrance was punctuated by the sound of the school bell echoing in the background. As he strolled through the front door, he dusted off his clothes, a casual demeanor about him. He then addressed the group with a tone that suggested he was used to the situation, "Hey everyone, sorry I'm late again. Spent most of the morning attached to the back of a car, trying to prevent it from crashing into the Crystal Prep Academy halfway across town."
The others chuckled at Ben's explanation, familiar with his adventures in the city as Spider-Man. Pinkie Pie, the energetic one, gave him a playful nudge. "Well, at least you had a more action-packed morning than us," she remarked, a smile on her face. The other girls nodded in agreement, but Sonata's expression betrayed her concern.
Ben was midway into his conversation when the unmistakable sound of Principal Celestia's voice interrupted. He turned to find her standing behind him, arms crossed, with an unamused expression on her face.
Ben felt a mixture of surprise and annoyance as he was reprimanded for his tardiness yet again. Principal Celestia's voice was calm but firm. "Ah, Ben," she said, "late again, I see?"
Ben swallowed the sigh that was building in his throat and responded with a sheepish look on his face. "Um, yeah, sorry about that. I got a little held up this morning," he admitted, hoping she wouldn't lecture him.
Principal Celestia raised an eyebrow at his explanation, her arms still crossed. "Held up, hm?" she echoed, the tone in her voice hinting at skepticism. "By what, if I might ask?"
Ben, caught off guard by Principal Celestia's question, quickly put together an excuse. "Oh, um, I was out helping a friend with some... stuff," he lied smoothly. "They needed my assistance with something, so I couldn't make it here in time."
Principal Celestia studied him for a moment, her sharp eyes seemingly seeing through his words but not pressing the issue further. She responded with a knowing nod. "I see," she said, her eyes flickering around the school. "Just try to make sure it doesn't become a habit, alright?"
Ben watched as Principal Celestia walked off before turning back to the group, a sigh escaping his lips. "Well, that could've been worse," he muttered, though clearly he'd rather not have been lectured by the principal again.
The others, who had been standing by during the exchange, chuckled at his comment. Pinkie Pie patted him on the back. "Don't sweat it. We know you're always saving the city, Spidey," she said with a smirk. The others nodded in agreement, the collective understanding and trust evident in their expressions.
Ben nodded at Pinkie's words as the bell rang, signaling time for class. However, as they were about to start walking away, Sunset abruptly stopped and overheard a noise in the hallway. Her sharp ears picked up the sound of someone being picked on nearby.
She moved quickly and quietly towards the source of the noise and found herself witnessing something familiar: the sight of Max Dillon, a student she had met before, being picked on by a group of bullies. Without hesitation, Sunset intervened, her voice laced with a protective tone as she called out, "Hey! Leave him alone!"
The bully group turned towards her, their expressions changing from annoyance to surprise at her sudden appearance. The ringleader, a tall and muscular guy, sneered, "Who are you? We're just having a little fun here. Mind your own business."
Sunset stood her ground and crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing defiantly. "That's not what it looks like to me," she retorted. "It looks like you're picking on him for no reason. I don't think he deserves to be treated like that."
Principal Celestia strode over to the scene, a no-nonsense air about her. With a stern glance, she addressed the bullies, "What do we have here?" Seeing the situation, Principal Celestia sided with Sunset and approached the group, her gaze sharp and disapproving. The bully leader visibly hesitated for a moment, taken aback by the sudden arrival of the principal, before reluctantly backing off, along with his gang.
With the bullies scattered, Sunset moved to Max Dillon's side and knelt down to help him up, concern etched on her face. "Are you alright?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine concern.
Max, still shaken up from the ordeal, looked up at Sunset, his eyes betraying the discomfort he felt. "Uh, yeah, I think so," he managed, a hint of gratitude in his voice. "Thanks for stepping in, that was getting kinda intense."
Sunset chuckled gently and extended a hand to help him up to his feet. "No problem," she said with a reassuring smile. "It's not right for anyone to be treated like that, especially when they haven't done anything wrong."
Max took her hand and pushed himself up, his face expressing a mix of relief and gratitude. "Thanks again. I'm Max, by the way," he introduced himself, a slight smile on his face.
Sunset smiled warmly, appreciating his introduction. "Nice to meet you, Max. I'm Sunset," she replied, her tone friendly. "If those guys try to mess with you again, let me know. I won't let that slide."
Max nodded, his expression grateful. "Thanks, I appreciate it," he said earnestly. "I'll keep that in mind. You're a cool person, Sunset."

At lunch Ben and Arctic Ace worked on their science project, the other girls engaged in their own conversations and activities.
Sunset then spoke up, breaking the conversation, "I'm glad to have Max join us for lunch. He seems like a nice guy."
The other girls glanced at each other before Pinkie Pie spoke up, "He is pretty nice. And he's definitely adorable."
Sunset laughed at Pinkie Pie's comment. "You think everyone's adorable, Pinks," she said teasingly.
Applejack chimed in with a smirk, "Well, he's got that cute little stutter when he talks. Kinda endearing."
As Max took his seat next to Rarity, a small smile played on Rarity's lips. She glanced at him appreciatively, a hint of amusement in her eyes.
"Well, look who decided to join us," Rarity greeted, her tone lighthearted.
As Ben looked up and smiled at Max, the other girls couldn't help but notice the subtle interaction.
Pinkie Pie, always observant, chuckled softly and nudged Ben with her elbow. "You two are already getting along nicely," she teased.
Ben rolled his eyes jokingly, though he couldn't help but smile. "Shut up, Pinkie," he mumbled Jokingly.
Pinkie giggled, taking his playful response as a win. Max, noticing the exchange, chimed in, a hint of amusement in his voice. "It seems like you two are close friends."
Ben chuckled and nodded. "We've been friends for a while now," he confirmed. "Pinkie's a good friend, even if she can be a bit... energetic at times."
Pinkie, the embodiment of energy herself, couldn't help but giggle at his comment. "Hey, I'm not that bad, am I?" she said with a mock-offended tone.
The rest of the day was typical, and the school day was drawing to a close. As the first few drops of rain started to fall, Ben began making his way home.
Max, on the other hand, stayed behind to finish up some tasks at school. As he cleaned up, the power suddenly went out, casting the school into darkness, and a loud crack of thunder rumbled outside.
Max, determined to restore the power, reached the janitor's closet and pulled the fuse lever, hoping to restore electricity. However, as he did so, a bolt of lightning hit the electrical box on the roof, sending an electrical surge through the entire building.
Max stumbled backward as the electricity coursed through his body. The sparks from the fuse box danced in the puddle of water he stood in, causing a dangerous combination of electricity to spark. Max let out a cry of pain, unable to avoid the full force of the electrical shock.

Chapter One: A Shocking Discovery
The following day, Ben and Arctic Ace sat across from each other at a cozy coffee shop, their project in front of them, ready for discussion. As Ben sipped on a smoothie, he experienced a sudden surge of cold from the cold beverage.
"Oof," he groaned as a brain freeze shot through his head, causing him to wince and scrunch up his face.
Arctic Ace looked up from their project, concern etched on his face. "You alright, buddy? That smoothie's a little frosty for ya?" he inquired, unable to resist a small chuckle.
Ben shook his head lightly, still wincing as the freezing sensation subsided. "Yeah, brain freeze," he admitted, rubbing his forehead. "I forgot how quick that could hit you."
Once the brain freeze subsided, Ben's mind shifted back to the project at hand. He turned to Arctic Ace with a determined look on his face. "I've been thinking about our concept for the science project," he began, his eyes fixed on the project sitting on the table.
"I've been considering the idea of developing a cryogenic gauntlet," he continued, picking up a pen and sketching a rough outline of the gauntlet on a nearby notepad. "It could be a powerful tool for freezing objects remotely from a distance, potentially even stopping someone in their tracks."
Arctic Ace listened intently, his brows raised in interest. "A cryogenic gauntlet, huh?" he mused, observing the rough sketch on the notepad. "That's quite the concept. How would it work, exactly?"
Ben leaned back in his chair and continued to explain. "It would be a specialized gauntlet designed to channel and release bursts of freezing energy on command," he explained, his passion for the project evident. "The gauntlet would have temperature controls for precise adjustments, allowing for flexibility in terms of strength and duration of the freezing effect."
Arctic Ace nodded, his curiosity piqued. "Interesting idea," he said, rubbing his chin contemplatively. "But where would we even start in terms of creating it? Seems like a big challenge."
As Arctic Ace raised an eyebrow, Ben chuckled and explained, "I've been diving through the city's dumpsters lately, finding all sorts of cool gadgets and tech. I've actually been able to use some of that stuff to build my own Spider Tech."
Arctic Ace's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean you're using discarded tech to make your own gadgets?" he asked, clearly impressed by Ben's ingenuity.
Ben nodded, a mixture of pride and excitement in his expression. "Yeah, I found some pretty interesting and useful stuff in those dumpsters. The tech itself was broken or unwanted, but with a bit of fiddling and some creative thinking, I've been able to repurpose it to fit my needs."
As they continued discussing, a sudden change happened. Ben's Spidey sense, his unique alarm system, began to kick in, and the ground started to rumble. Lights flickered around them, alerting them to an unexpected disturbance.
With a quick burst of speed, Ben darted for a nearby alleyway to change into his Spidey suit, knowing instinctively that whatever was happening required immediate action. After swiftly donning the suit, he swung off towards the center of the city, the cityscape blurring around him as he moved with urgency.
As Ben arrived at the center of the city, he scanned the area, trying to get a better understanding of the situation. The ground was still shaking, and the lights continued to flicker erratically. It was as if the very energy of the city was being hijacked.
Ben's eyes widened in surprise as he finally found the source of the disturbance. There, in the middle of the chaos, stood Max Dillon, but he wasn't the same shy and unassuming person he knew. Max was shimmering with electricity, his body crackling with an uncontrollable energy.
Ben quickly descended from his vantage point of a nearby building, landing a short distance away from Max. He approached him cautiously, his Spidey suit clinging tightly to his form. Not wanting to startle or expose his secret identity, Ben spoke with a calm and reassuring tone.
"Max, calm down," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "You're in an unstable state. We need to find a way to stabilize you and control this energy."
Max, still consumed by the crackling electricity surrounding him, turned towards Ben with a look of confusion and fear. "I can't control it Spider-Man," he managed to say, his voice tinged with desperation. "It's like an electrical current running through me, and I can't shut it off."
Ben took another cautious step forward, his eyes locked on Max. "I understand it's overwhelming, but we have to find a way to ground this energy. You're generating too much power, and it's unstable."
Just as Ben was about to offer further reassurance, a sudden shot rang out, and a bullet struck Max in the shoulder. Instinctively, Max reacted, sending a powerful blast of electricity in Ben's direction. Caught off guard, Ben was sent flying backwards a few feet, rolling to a stop on the ground.
As Ben gained his bearings, he quickly realized that the situation had just escalated. He took a moment to assess the situation, noticing the sparks crackling around Max and the faint trail of smoke rising from the area where the bullet had hit him.
Ben, trying to regain control of the situation, swiftly lunged forward, firing a web at Max in an attempt to subdue him. However, Max reacted with lightning speed (figuratively and literally), sending a surge of electricity through the web. The web shooters on Ben's wrists began to fizz and spark, shorting out due to the overload eventually breaking and spewing webbing everywhere.
The electricity coursing through the web also reached Ben, zapping him with a jolt of pain and momentarily incapacitating him.
Ben grunted in pain as the electricity surged through him, his body seizing up briefly from the jolt. He stumbled back a few paces, trying to shake off the effects of the unexpected electric attack.
Despite the pain and the malfunctions in his web shooters caused by the electrical overload, Ben quickly shook off the effects. He knew he had to restrain Max and bring the situation under control. Ben lunged forward once more, intent on calming Max down and preventing further harm.
As he moved, Ben caught snippets of Max's words, noticing a transformation in his demeanor. It seemed as if Max had given himself a new identity, a new name.
"Alright, Max, just hold on a moment-" Ben attempted to speak, but his words were cut short by Max's response. The once introverted and shy classmate had undergone a remarkable change, as if the energy coursing through him had ignited a new persona.
"My name isn't Max," he declared with a strange mix of defiance and conviction, "It's Electro."
The once-quiet streets of the city turned into a chaotic battleground as Ben and Electro engaged in a desperate fight. Sparks flew, buildings shook, and the very ground trembled under the force of their struggle.
As they fought, Electro's body continued to crackle and spark, generating bursts of intense electrical energy. With each swing and dodge, the air crackled with potential as Electro unleashed wave after wave of electrical attacks.
Ben's quick reflexes and agility allowed him to dodge each of Electro's powerful attacks. He ducked, weaved, and leaped out of the way, narrowly avoiding the crackling tendrils of lightning that reached out for him. Finally, with a calculated move, Ben seized an opportune moment and delivered a solid kick towards Electro, momentarily catching him off guard.
Electro, seizing the advantage, unleashed a powerful beam of electricity towards Ben. The surge of energy slammed into him, causing his body to convulse and sending him crashing to the ground. With Ben temporarily incapacitated, Electro took the opportunity to taunt him.
"Your nervous system is shutting down," Electro taunted, a hint of sadistic satisfaction in his voice.
Ben groaned in pain, his body feeling the effects of the electrical assault. Electro's words were true—the intense current had indeed caused his nervous system to malfunction, leaving him vulnerable and weakened.
As the battle raged on, Electro's energy started to wane. The exertion of his powers, coupled with the constant clash with Ben, was beginning to take a toll on him. His body began to weaken, fatigue setting in as his once-unstoppable energy started to falter.
Sensing his dwindling strength, Electro made one last desperate move to escape. In an instant, he tapped into whatever remnants of power he still had, propelling himself forward with a boost of energy, and disappeared from Ben's sight.
With Electro's sudden escape, the battlefield fell into a momentary stillness. Ben lay on the ground, panting and recovering from the intense battle. He slowly pushed himself up, wincing slightly as his body protested against the movement.
Ben rose to his feet, his thoughts swirling with questions and disbelief. He couldn't believe what just happened. The sweet, timid boy he knew as Max… Electro. The transformation was shocking, and Ben couldn't help but wonder how this had come about. How did the shy classmate he'd known turn into a being of pure energy, wreaking havoc on the city?
Ben stood on the rooftop, his heart racing as he took in the cityscape before him. The setting sun painted the sky with hues of orange and red, casting an amber glow over the urban landscape. The city was still recovering from the aftermath of Electro's rampage, sirens wailing in the distance.
"I have to stop him," Ben swore to himself, his resolve strengthening with every beat of his heart. The weight of responsibility settled on his shoulders, and he knew there was no turning back now.

Hey I just wanted to apologize for the long delay I recently had a tooth pulled and was in too much pain to write I also had a small attack of writer's block but I'm back now and I should be able to post a chapter hopefully every Wednesday I might be able to make one tomorrow anyways thanks for understanding my delay and I hope you enjoy.
