Summer Dew is just a simple serving mare, a maid. Her job ius mostly to water the plants in the garden, clean the windows, ensure that the plants and windows get sunlight...

And, at least once a month, clean up the late Princess Celestia (declared slain over 20 years past)'s chamber, which picks up a surprising amount of dust for a room with no occupant.

It is on one of the latter days that things change drastically for her and the rest of Equestria and beyond as a result.
