“See?” Sandbar spoke up. “I told you it’s legit!”

“Yeah, I ain’t buying it.” Smolder raised an eyebrow.

“I agree,” Gallus stared at Sandbar. “An apple was magically brought to life and he’s THIS loaded?”

Sandbar and his five creature friends were staring at a large golden and apple-themed mansion.

“Hey, if he’s a talking apple, he’s gotta make it big.” Sandbar shrugged.

“Why did you wanna show us this again?” Smolder asked.

“I told you!” Sandbar turned to the dragon. “Headmare Twilight’s inviting her old student for a surprise event here! That’s why there’s a talking apple!”

Smolder raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t Miss Glimmer leave on a trip with her friend yesterday?”

“No, no!” Sandbar shook his head. “I mean her first student!”

“One who never writes!”

The students turned and their jaws dropped. Out of the mansion was none other than the sentient apple. And he was in a bathrobe and wearing sunglasses.

“Ho-Ho!” Smolder flew over to the talking fruit. “Now, that’s sick!”

“Yona amazed by talking apple!” Yona stomped in delight.

The apple bounced in the air by Yona’s stomping. “Yeah, earthquake! That’s what I called for!”

“It’s exactly how I DREAMED it would be!!!” Silverstream hopped in the air, enthusiastically.

“This is the first time I ever heard you express dreaming of a moment like this.” Gallus looked annoyed.

“THAT’S! BECAUSE! IT’S! SO! COOL!!!!” Silverstream flew in the air.

“Okay, okay now!” The apple chuckled. “I see I’m the most amazing thing here, so I don’t mind publicity. As long as you’re not sponges! I’ve had some bad experiences with some and NOT just the guy who gave me life!”

Ocellus turned to Sandbar. “Gosh, that’s not a nice thing to call Twilight’s student,”

“Well, Twilight’s student is a sponge, actually!” Sandbar confirmed.

Gallus looked weirded out. “...I’m sorry, what?”

“Oh, Twilight’s student!” Sandbar smiled. “Didn’t you ever hear of SpongeBob SquarePants? Ponies talk of him all the time! He’s one of Equestria’s greatest heroes!”

Gallus looked unimpressed. “...And he’s…actually a sponge?”

“Honestly, after seeing the talking apple, I’d believe anything.” Smolder shrugged.

“Eyes never miss!” The apple spoke, just signing an autograph for Silverstream.

“No offense, but I bet the whole ‘sponge’ part is phooey,” Gallus folded his claws.

“I’ll bet he’s real and has clothes on!!!” Silverstream grinned excitedly.

“Clothes? That’s totally not pushing it.” Gallus smirked and shook Silverstream’s own claw. “You’ve got a deal!”

“So, what’s this event Headmare Twilight has planned, anyway?” Ocellus asked as they started heading back to The School Of Friendship.

“I don’t know,” Smolder answered. “But right now, I’m more than eager to!”

Ah, bonjour, my friends!” Narrated the voice of Frenchie to the viewers. “So, you’ve decided to join us for another tale of SpongeBob SquarePants returning to ze magical land of Equestria! Well, zis adventure is not like his others, oh no! For he’s going to-

“Okay, where is that coming from?!” Gallus looked around. “I’ve been hearing that voice follow us around all day!”

Yona covered her head. “Yona scared by weird voice!”

(Sigh). Zese Equestrian folk never catch on, do they?

CHAOTIC ORIGINS: A “SquarePants Are Magic” Story

Back in The School Of Friendship, Sandbar and the rest were gathered in the library as Twilight and her friends were on stage with a projection screen.

“Thank you all for being here.” Twilight bowed to her students. “For I wouldn’t want you to miss a little peek at tonight’s Siblinghooves Social!”

Rarity nodded. “You’ve all set a grand example for Equestria by saving it from the wicked clutches of Cozy Glow!”

“So, not just pony siblings, brother and sister can join,” Applejack started. “But every creature can join too!”

“Gah, I’m so excited!” Silverstream hopped in her seat. “Me and my brother are joining this one!”

“Gathering them here far and wide, so they can all join in the special occasion!” Fluttershy continued. “Like Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, me and my brother Zephyr Breeze, Twilight and her brother, Shining Armor,”

“Me and my honorary sister, Scootaloo,” Rainbow Dash nodded, proudly.

Pinkie Pie bounced her way up. “And we got surprises of our own! Like who would’ve thought Cheese Sandwich was the brother of Rainbow’s convention buddy, Quibble Pants? Huh, Dashie?”

“Heh-heh, yeah.” Rainbow chuckled, sheepishly.

“And that’s not all, students.” Twilight continued. “We have one more special sibling who will be joining us!” She looked up. “Spike? Lights, please!”

Spike gave a thumbs-up to his caretaker. “You got it!” He dimmed the lights and turned on the projector, showing a slide of ponies running from a certain draconequus, surrounded by dinosaurs and a small green one-eyed creature on his palm.

“Hey,” Ocellus looked closely. “That guy looks like Discord!”

“Yeah, but it ain’t.” Rainbow winked. “That guy is his brother, Strife!”

“Hold up,” Smolder held her claw up. “Discord of all guys has a brother, too?”

“Shortly before I became a princess, Strife rose up and took over all of Equestria.” Twilight spoke up before the next slide showed him looking friendlier. “But luckily, someone saw that what he really longed for was friendship, even before Discord…My first student…from another universe!”

“You mean that school world where that yellow unicorn is?” Gallus raised an eyebrow.

“Nah, it’s from…another ‘NOTHER universe!” Pinkie spoke before briefly playing a theremin.

Twilight cleared her throat. “Thank you. And before you students, we have him right here in The School Of Friendship itself! I proudly present-”

“Whoa!” Smolder leaped in the air from her seat. “Is that a giant starfish at the snacks?”

“And he has PANTS?!” Gallus stared with bulged eyes.

“Huh?” Twilight turned her head and saw Patrick Star trying to sneak some donut muffins in his mouth.

“Patrick! Patrick, Patrick, Patrick!” SpongeBob SquarePants himself quickly rushed out to pull Patrick away. “We’re not supposed to go on yet!”

“...I was weak!” Patrick confessed, unintentionally showing his big belly. “I was starving and weak!” However, SpongeBob and Patrick saw they were being watched and darted eyes at each other and back and the ponies and creatures.

The two stood up casually and waved. “Hey there!”

Twilight shook her head in amusement. “Students? Meet one of Equestria’s greatest heroes, SpongeBob SquarePants!”

“And bestie in all worlds, Patrick Star!” SpongeBob spoke before he and Patrick bowed.

The students stood up and cheered in amazement. Gallus however, turned to Silverstream with a bag of bits. “You win.”

Twilight felt satisfied seeing how things were going. “So, I take it you’re all excited to see Discord and his brother in action?”

The students all expressed their enthusiasm by cheering.

“Then I’ll see you all at the Siblinghooves Social. Class dismissed!” Twilight spoke as the students happily rushed out.

“Whew!” Applejack wiped sweat from her forehead. “Am Ah glad things went the way they did!”

“This will be so wonderful!” Fluttershy added. “Seeing Discord and Strife together will be quite a show-stopper!”

Twilight nodded in confidence. “Either way, it looks like we have nothing to wo-”

“NO!!!” Pinkie jumped in front of Twilight. “Don’t say it! Don’t say we have nothing to worry about because then we WILL have something to worry about!”

“Oh, Pinkie. That’s just silly.” Twilight put a hoof on Pinkie’s shoulder. “Anytime that happens is just coincidence.”

Pinkie leaned in close. “And how many times has that happened?”

“Look, Pinkie. We-” Twilight paused when noticing Spike counting with his claws. “Spike!” The dragon put his claws away, giggling nervously.

“Uh, now that you mention it,” Rainbow looked behind Twilight. “Something’s up with those two.”

Twilight turned and noticed SpongeBob and Patrick with huge, toothy grins. They were both known to be quite happy-go-lucky on a regular basis, but something about their grins here looked…unusual.

“Boys?” Twilight walked towards SpongeBob and Patrick. “Is there something you’d like to tell us?”

“Are we in the good, SpongeBob?” Patrick whispered through his teeth.

“I think we’re in the good, Patrick!” SpongeBob whispered back through his teeth.

“We are?”

“We are!”

“We are?”

“We are!”

“We are?”

“As long as Twilight doesn’t raise her eyebrow, we. Are in. The good.” SpongeBob looked back at Twilight, but she had her eyebrow raised.

SpongeBob finally couldn’t hold it back. “WE DON’T KNOW IF STRIFE WILL BE THERE!” The sponge immediately covered his mouth.

“What?” Twilight asked as she and her friends looked surprised. “But why?”

“…Well, when we were getting ready this morning,” SpongeBob started. “He was…less than excited.”

It was morning in Bikini Bottom and Strife was sleeping peacefully in his cave and on his cozy bed. It seemed like nothing could ruin the moment.

“Ohhhh, Strifeeeeeeey!”

Strife’s eyes shot open as he heard a voice and he suddenly felt something jumping on his bed. It was none other than SpongeBob and Patrick.

“TODAY’S THE DAY!” SpongeBob shouted with glee.

“YES IT IS, SPONGEBOB!” Patrick joined in.

“I CAN’T CONTAIN MYSELF, PATRICK!”

“ME NEITHER!”

“I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!”

“LET’S KEEP BOUNCING!”

Strife immediately rose up and stared straight at SpongeBob and Patrick with snarling teeth, making them stop. “How about instead…you stop…PLEASE?”

SpongeBob slowly stepped off Strife’s bed. “Uh…yeah, okay.”

SpongeBob began to leave while Patrick stayed behind. “Wait, was he snarling at us?” SpongeBob quickly grabbed his best friend.

“I guess I should’ve known something was up.” SpongeBob continued. “He can be kinda sour when talking about his brother.”

“What about that welcome party a while back?” Pinkie asked. “He and Discord looked like they had lotsa fun!”

“No offense, Pinkie.” Applejack walked up. “But Ah don’t think one fun time will fix everythin’ between ‘em.”

“Man, especially after like a million years!” Patrick spoke.

“No-no-no-no.” Pinkie held her hoof up. “Iiiiiii’d say it was about…a bajillion years!”

Fluttershy walked between them. “The important thing though, is that it was a long time.”

Pinkie and Patrick both queased. “Eeeeeugh…”

“We’re sorry, Twilight.” SpongeBob rubbed his arm. “We should’ve told you sooner.”

Twilight knelt herself down to SpongeBob’s level. “Hey, don’t worry just yet.” She spoke in a sincere tone. “There must be something we can do.”

SpongeBob tried to think and his eyes brightened. “If I can’t get through to Strife, why not ask Discord?”

“Oh, that’s a wonderful idea!” Fluttershy grinned. “Maybe there’s more to their history than we thought.”

SpongeBob grew intrigued. “And I never got a real chance to bond with Discord!”

“Good thought, dear.” Rarity spoke. “But we’ve got our own work to do for this event.”

“Maybe I can take them to him.” Spike stood in the center.

“You?” Twilight was surprised while SpongeBob gasped.

“What?” Spike looked at Twilight. “I hang out a lot with Discord too, you know.”

“I never realized until now…” SpongeBob spoke with big eyes.

“Eh. Well, it’s true.” Spike shrugged.

“YOU’VE GOT WINGS!!!” SpongeBob’s expression changed into a tearful smile.

Spike turned and saw the wings on his back. “Oh yeah! These!”

SpongeBob pulled Spike in a bone-crushing hug. “Oh, I gotta visit more often! YOU’RE GROWING UP SO FAST!” He let Spike go and began acting ecstatic with Patrick.

Twilight leaned down to Spike. “I’m glad you wanna help, Spike. But doesn’t going to Discord’s realm by yourself sound a little dangerous?”

“Don’t worry, Twilight!” Spike spoke with confidence. “SpongeBob and Patrick will keep me safe!”

The two however looked back and saw SpongeBob and Patrick still acting goofily happy about Spike’s wings.

“I think you’d do better keeping them safe.” Twilight looked back to Spike. “Maybe you three need stronger supervision?”

“Hmmm…” Spike began to think. His eyes widened as he grinned. “I got it!”

SpongeBob and Patrick were now with a pacing Spike outside.

“So long story short.” Spike spoke. “We were wondering if you would come with us to talk to Discord where he lives, so he could patch things up with Strife, since we both know him a lot. So…please?”

Big Macintosh nodded. “Eeyup.”

Spike grinned. “Thanks!” He turned back to SpongeBob and Patrick. “We’re in! Let’s roll!”

“Eeeeee!!!!” SpongeBob and Patrick clasped hands with glee.

The four were now in a deep dark cave in the Whitetail Woods, with an enormous lake leading to a pitch black passageway.

“So,” SpongeBob started. “This is how we’ll get to where Discord lives?”

“Uh-huh!” Spike nodded. “This operates every three hours. And we were lucky!”

“Really?” SpongeBob looked at the watch on his wrist. “When should that be?”

“Our ride should be here…” Spike and SpongeBob stared at the watch on the sponge’s wrist, which at that instant, struck 12:00. “Now.”

DONG!!!! DONG!!!!

Loud chimes echoed through the cave, startling SpongeBob and Patrick. Suddenly, the entire lake inside transformed into fire and a bright light shined through the passageway.

SpongeBob and Patrick’s pupils shrank upon their next sight. Out of the passageway, was a boat rowed by a pony skeleton with red eyes and in a black cloak. The two yelped and hid behind Big Mac.

The ghoulish figure looked towards the four and pointed. “YOUUUUUU…” It spoke in a deep, gravely voice. “YOU WISH TO ENTER…THE REALM OF DISCO-“ The skeleton all of a sudden began coughing heavily.

The skeleton began speaking in a femmy voice. “Ugh, terrible cough. Terrible, terrible cough!” He turned back to the four and waved. “Hiiiiii!”

“Hey, Jerry!” Spike waved back as the boat stopped at the edge. The dragon turned back to the sea creatures. “Guys, this is our guide to Discord’s realm, Jerry.”

“At your servs!” Jerry hopped out of the boat. “Spike, Big Mac! It is SO good to see you again!” He turned to the speechless SpongeBob and Patrick.

“I know, I know, I catch everyone off guard. Skeleton, red eyes, this and that.” Jerry waved his bony hooves. “But I’m not one to bite!” A spider then crawled on his hoof.

“Ohhh!” Jerry shook it off, disgusted. “I hope he didn’t leave cobwebs, they’re torture to get out!” He turned to the dragon and cupped his cheeks. “Spike, you’ve got to let me know when Fluttershy has her next spa day, I NEED to be worked on!”

“You’ll be the first to know!” Spike spoke with his cheeks squished.

“Ooh, goody!” Jerry hopped back on the boat, followed by the four. “Well, let’s get this show on the road!” He then began to row. “Oh, newbies! I ADORE your choices of wardrobe!”

Meanwhile, back in The Krusty Krab in Bikini Bottom, Mr. Krabs alongside Squidward Tentacles eyed the steaming grill with determined looks.

“Aye, Mister Squidward.” Mr. Krabs spoke. “I don’t know how SpongeBob managed to get the day off…”

“Because he asked two weeks in advance like you’re supposed to.” Squidward skeptically looked at his boss.

“Errr…yes, that’s true.” Mr. Krabs cleared his throat. “But it’s the sworn duty of those in business of The Krusty Krab to not have any customers go hungry! That must not happen! So…good luck, Mr. Squidward!” He quickly saluted and tried bolting.

“Mr. Krabs!” Squidward snapped.

“Ugh, fine.” Mr. Krabs grumbled before joining Squidward back at the grill.

Business as usual was going fine in The Krusty Krab. And even though SpongeBob was out, it was a miracle Mr. Krabs and Squidward kept business going. And every customer had no troubles on this day.

Well, except one.

Strife sat at his table and munched on his Krabby Patty. He couldn’t complain, the food was good. But he knew the reason SpongeBob wasn’t here. He looked out the window, feeling conflicted. Was he happy he was staying put and wouldn’t have to put up with his struggles in Equestria, or guilty that he chose not to join the sponge who brought him back to good?

“Salutations…”

“Yah-Ha-Ha!” Strife jumped at the sound of a voice and a touch on his shoulder, accidentally knocking his soda off the table. He looked over and saw none other than Slappy drenched in soda.

“Why did you drench me with soda, Leopold?” Slappy asked in his soft, yet unnerving voice.

The draconequus cringed, knowing Slappy too well. “Oh, pardon me!” Strife apologized, chuckling nervously. “I just got startled, that’s all.”

Slappy got closer to Strife, staring him in the eyes, but with no change in his tone. “I wasn’t expecting this act at all. My skin is crawling like mad, Leopold. Maaad.” Slappy got closer. “I have only one thing to say in response to such a beastly act.” He then turned away, blushing. “I’m already taken.”

Strife tried his hardest not to shudder. “Good for you.”

“Well, don’t play hard to get, you naughty boy.” Slappy creepily giggled before walking away.

As Strife got back to his lunch, another familiar face dropped by.

“Howdy there, ol’ Strife!” Sandy greeted with three trays of food.

“Oh, hi, Sandy.” Strife looked up, smiling. “Got a big lunch planned?”

“Naw,” Sandy spoke. “I’m bringing this to the rest of the gals at mah table.” Realization then hit her. “Hey, weren’t y’all going with SpongeBob and Patrick to visit Equestria?”

“I know I said that, but…” Strife looked down at his patty. “I didn’t feel like going through with it…”

Sandy could tell something was bothering Strife and put an elbow on the table. “You know, Strife, SpongeBob may be a lot to handle at times, but Ah know he cares a whole lot. What changed yer mind?”

“Well, meeting Discord again for this whole…sibling thing will be awkward.” Strife continued. “I don’t think everything that we went through is fixed.”

Sandy tapped on the table. “Well…what did you go through?”

“Ah…” Strife held his leopard paw up. “You probably don’t wanna hear it.”

“Sure Ah do!” Sandy then collected Strife’s tray. “In fact, why don’t y’all sit with me and the gals?”

“I won’t be a burden?” Strife asked, getting up.

“Why would ya?” Sandy asked as they walked. “All of Bikini Bottom has more than accepted you at this point!” They reached the table joined by Pearl and Mrs. Puff. “Don’t we all?”

“Oh yeah, Mister Strife!” Pearl laughed as her cheeks turned rose. “Who else was my last minute chaperone at my prom?”

“Of course we do, dear.” Mrs. Puff added. “And who always drops by to help fix my school after SpongeBob accidentally destroys it…destroys it time and time again?!” The driving teacher felt like she was going insane in an instant, but paused when seeing Sandy, Pearl and Strife staring at her. “But you always make time and that’s important!”

“So, what do ya say?” Sandy playfully elbowed Strife.

“Oh yes…” Slappy sat next to the draconequus. “Do go on, Leopold.”

Strife looked at the four smiling at him and felt trusted. “Well…I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to get it off my chest.” He then raised an eyebrow at Slappy. “And why do you keep calling me Leopold, anyway? It’s Strife.”

“Ohhh…” Slappy rubbed his fins. “I feel like I’m cursed to say the name Strife, Leopold.”

Strife rolled his eyes and shrugged as he sat. “Oh alright, Leopold it is.”

“So, where did this all start?” Mrs. Puff asked.

Strife began to think back and visualize in his mind. “Well…Though this is how many backstories start, it’s true for me…It happened a long time ago…We draconequui have been around since the beginning of time, and being special creatures unlike any other, we’re also given our own elemental power and were known to take advantage of it and play horrible pranks. Because of that we were shunned and seen as monsters. And keep in mind, this was before unicorns, pegasi and earth ponies saw eye to eye with each other. That’s when the Windigos attacked. Powerful icy spirits that even my species were no match for. They had no choice but to stay hidden in a large forest hoping the Windigos would someday be gone. Even though the cold times came to an end, we still feared the Windigos were still out there. But that didn’t stop the draconequui from plotting for the time we would strike back and rule…That is, except me.”

A young Strife was running through the forest, heavily panting while trying to get himself off the ground with his parrot/dragonfly wings, but no luck.

“I wasn’t like any other draconequus. Every other would love to act scary and cause nightmares? Well…scary stuff was my nightmare. They were fearless and ruthless, I was shy and timid. They had powers beyond any creature, I had none. The only pony we had was our heads…I had the head of a red alligator. So, as you can imagine from my point of view, things. Were. Tough.”

“Ha-HA!” Another draconequus emerged from the bushes, scaring the young Strife. This one had a pony head with the horns of a bull and antelope, the arms of a tiger and gorilla, the feet of a zebra and turtle and the tail of a dolphin.

“Schism!” Strife covered himself.

“Well, well! If it isn’t the freak among freaks!” Schism grabbed Strife by the fur. “I told ya if you crossed my border again, I’d shred your body like sheep’s clothing!”

Strife looked confused. “But…isn’t your body like a sheep?”

Schism realized this and looked at his fur, knowing his long body had the wool of a sheep. “We-…well I…” He stammered. “Gah, my taunting! My beautiful, beautiful, taunting!” He growled at the young draconequus. “You little runt! You’re gonna see what it’s like when nobody’s on your side!”

“But there was one…that still looked out for me.” Strife narrated.

“Well now, I wouldn’t say that.” A voice spoke.

Schism’s eyes widened. “Wha-Discord?! How did you find us, twerp? That doesn’t make sense?”

The new voice chuckled. “Make sense? Oh, what fun is there in making sense?”

“Alright, alright! I ain’t scared of you, kid! You or your special powers! Bring it on!!!” Schism put his fists up. But his tiger’s paw suddenly started glowing.

PUNCH!

Schism suddenly punched himself in the face. “Wha-…Wha-?!…” His gorilla’s hand now started glowing.

PUNCH!

“Oh no!!!” Schism whimpered as his paw and hand both glowed. “Not-“

PUNCH!

“THI-HI-HI-HIIIIS!”

PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH!

Out of the shadows, another young draconequus emerged and clapped. “Bravo, Schism! Bravo! And I didn’t even have to touch you! Good show!”

Schism weakly tried getting up and saw Discord helping Strife on his feet.

“Oh yeah? Oh yeah? Well, I-“ Schism fell over due to his injuries with a grunt. He tried getting up again, but slipped again. This happened a few more times.

“This’ll probably take ten minutes…thirty at best.” Discord muttered, causing Strife to giggle.

“Aw, no!” Schism growled, finally standing. “Don’t think you’re getting out of this with your skins on!”

“Really?” Discord smirked. “I’d say it was a close shave.”

Suddenly, a hair buzzer poofed next to Schism and turned on. Upon realizing this, he took a deep breath and pointed at the young draconequui. “Not cool.”

Schism then screamed and ran away as the buzzer started chasing him, trying to get at his sheep’s wool.

“And if you cross OUR border, I’m telling Granddaddy!” Discord called out.

Once the bully was gone, Discord put a paw around Strife. “You okay, brother of mine?”

“Yeah,” Strife smiled. “Thanks, Discord.”

“Now, come along!” Discord got his wings started like a boat motor. “Mother has dinner waiting for us!”

He flew away before Strife could catch up, but suddenly, Discord zoomed under his little brother, catching him on his back as they both laughed.

Meanwhile, SpongeBob, Patrick, Spike and Big Mac finally arrived at Discord’s house.

“Hey, Discord!” Spike called as he knocked on his door.

No answer.

The gang looked at each other before Spike knocked again. Upon the last knock, the door creaked open. They all peeked in, as his house looked deserted and dark.

“You think he’s even here?” SpongeBob asked. “Looks kinda creepy.”

Spike squinted his eyes, looking around. “Yeah, he’s here. Trying to scare us away, probably.”

“Eeyup.” Big Mac agreed.

“I know!” SpongeBob whispered. “You two keep looking here, while me and Patrick will look in the back!”

“You got it.” Spike gave a thumbs up as Big Mac nodded.

As Spike and Big Mac looked through the window, SpongeBob and Patrick snuck to the back of the house.

“Careful, Patrick!” SpongeBob turned to his best friend. “This is the Master of Chaos. So stay on your toes!”

“Right!” Patrick looked down and saw there were no toes on his feet. “Uh…ehhh…” He began struggling and getting dizzy as he fell on SpongeBob.

The sponge got himself back up as well as Patrick, wheezing. “On second thought, just follow my lead.”

Once up, SpongeBob got a good look at the house and saw it covered with all sorts of graffiti. “Gee, Patrick. Whoever left all this graffiti sure wanted to leave his mark!”

“Yeah!” Patrick nodded.

Then, a drawing of Discord himself caught the sponge’s eye. “Huh! I don’t know Discord a whole lot, but this captured his spunk!”

But as the two kept looking, they didn’t notice the drawing blink and watch them. Once seeing them occupied, the drawing began to sneak away on the house.

Patrick all of a sudden, raised his head. He turned and the drawing returned to his pose. Once Patrick went back to looking, the drawing continued to sneak. But Patrick looked up again and the drawing froze right in its current place.

“Gah-SpongeBob!!” Patrick frantically shouted.

SpongeBob rushed over. “What is it, Patrick?”

Patrick shook, nervously. “It’s…It’s…” The drawing itself was anxiously trying to remain still and not panic.

“A fly!” Patrick finished and pointed at the small insect flying around until it sat where the drawing was.

“Eww, it’s a big one!” SpongeBob cringed.

“Here, let me catch it.” Patrick raised his fist and pounded the spot, hard, but didn’t realize the drawing felt it too. “Darn, I missed.”

“HaRdLy!”

The two’s eyes widened as for a split second, they thought they saw the drawing briefly clutching his stomach before returning to his normal pose. The two slowly looked at each other in fear. “AAAAAAAAUGH!” The two began fearfully running in circles.

Spike and Big Mac then showed up. “Guys?” Spike asked. “What is it?”

“It’s the graffiti, Spike!” SpongeBob yelped. “THE GRAFFITI’S ALIVE!”

Spike looked confused. “Graffiti?”

“EVERYBODY STAY CALM!” Patrick held his hands up and narrowed his eyes. “I know how to deal with this.”

Patrick stuffed his arm and hand in his mouth so hard his eyes darted in different directions. He pulled it out, covered in saliva as nobody noticed the drawing’s eye twitch.

“It’s time to…clean up your act.” Patrick spoke in a low voice. He dramatically and slowly moved his hand towards the drawing.

“NO!!!”

In a flash of light, the drawing suddenly transformed into The Master Of Chaos himself, Discord.

“OoooooOOOOOOOOooooh, no!” Discord whimpered. “None of that! None! Of! That!”

Spike folded his arms. “So, there you are!”

“Okay, okay. You found me.” Discord bitterly grumbled. “You all want a cookie?”

“Cookie?!” Patrick grinned, wildly.

“That was rhetorical,” Discord frowned.

“Rhetor-…Uh…Rhe…” Partick rubbed his head. “Oh, my head.”

“Wait a minute,” SpongeBob started to realize. “I was already having trouble getting through to Strife! Are you bothered by the Siblinghooves Social, too?”

“Oh, so my brother isn’t going to be there after all, huh?” Discord got in SpongeBob’s face. “WELL! Gooooood for him! It’ll make us aaaaaaaaalllll feel better!” At this point, Discord’s head was literally spinning.

Spike wasn’t amused. “Discord, will you quit acting like a drama queen?” The dragon suddenly felt a crown shoved in his face. On it read ‘#1 Drama Queen’. He looked up and saw Discord in a flowing dress.

“Do I at least fit the title now?” The draconequus asked.

An annoyed Spike tossed the crown. “Discord, look.”

“Whaaaaaaat?” Irritated, Discord obnoxiously slumped down to the ground.

Spike sighed and walked up to Discord. “I wanna ask you something. Remember when The Storm King invaded Canterlot?”

“Ugh, yes.” Discord groaned. “No need for a glorified recap. You all saved the day, made new friends, learned a friendship lesson and you had a bigger budget to go with it. Happily Ever Whatever,”

Spike looked down. “Well, it wasn’t for me.” Discord looked over as the dragon continued. “I wasn’t all okay. Sure, Equestria was saved, but I was still scared! I kept thinking what would’ve happened if we lost. I kept saying I was fine and didn’t want to ruin the fun for everypony. But by doing that…I was already ruining their fun. We all only felt better once I let them help.” He placed a claw on Discord’s shoulder. “We want to help you. I know Fluttershy’s your best friend, but…we’re your friends too.”

Discord was letting Spike’s words sink in. “Well…alright.” Discord stood up as his four friends smiled. “Although we should get inside from any weirdos.”

“The ones who drew graffiti on your house?” SpongeBob asked as they headed inside.

“Oh, they are certainly the most devious.” Discord closed the door as they were all inside. But he secretly poked his head out and drew a funny face on his house. He snickered to the readers. “Ain’t I a stinker?”

“So,” SpongeBob started. “What exactly happened between you and Strife?”

Discord scratched his chin. “Well, I suppose if a backstory is the way to go, I should set things up here.” He snapped his fingers and poofed up some rows of seats like in a movie theater.

“And who can’t forget refreshments?” Discord then poofed up popcorn and drinks for everyone.

“Butter please?” Patrick held his bucket up.

“I already gave you butter,” Discord spoke.

“Well, yeah! But I want more!” Patrick stood up.

“Ugh,” Discord snapped his fingers and more butter splattered on Patrick’s popcorn.

“Now some cheese!” Patrick grinned.

Discord snapped his fingers and poofed up a levitating cheese getting grated above Patrick’s popcorn.

“Er-not so much at time!” Patrick looked at his food as the grater obeyed his command. “Now more! No, no, wait! Uh…Yeah! Now, a little more! A lot more!”

Discord got close to Patrick. “You know, no matter how I make it, you’re going to stuff it in your face, anyway.”

“Hmm,” Patrick squinted his eyes. “Touche, Discord. Touche.”

The draconequus stood in front and began to tell his tale. While doing so, he began to visualize in his mind. “Me and Strife certainly go back. And yes, we did have a lovely childhood together. And I do mean together. On our own…it was complicated. You see, me and Strife had our parents, Eris and Harmon and…not to brag, but I was definitely Momma’s Little Boy. Especially since I inherited her powers of Chaos. Not a day went by when I didn’t make her proud!”

Ah, yes.” Frenchie narrated. “As you can see, Discord and Strife are telling their history together-

“And who asked you to barge in?” Discord raised an eyebrow.

Pardon, monsieur?” Frenchie asked.

“I’ve got the history! I’ve got the knowledge! So take a hike!” Discord snapped.

Well, I never!” Frenchie took his leave. “J'aimerais que des gens comme vous soient obligés de manger dans la litière de vingt escargots!...Peut-être cinquante. Oui, cinquante.

Discord cleared his throat. “Anyway…”

“Mother!” A young Discord was at the window of his caved home, jumping in the air with enthusiasm. “Mother, Mother! Look outside, Mother!”

Another draconequus flew into the scene. This one had a pony’s head with a long, fuzzy mane, leopard’s paw, bird’s claw, green parrot’s wing, purple bat’s wing, horse leg, chicken’s leg and dragon’s tail. This was Eris.

“Ah, Discord!” She spoke up, flexing. “My devilish darling evil spawn!”

“Good morning, mother!” Discord bowed. “How are-“

“Oh, an absolute wreck as usual, dear.” Eris put a paw to her head. “Just wonderfully dreadful.”

“Well, feast your eyes!” Discord confidently stood where he was. “I’ve been practicing my powers more!”

“You have?” Eris asked.

“Indeed! Look outside!” Discord and Eris looked out and his mother couldn’t believe her eyes. There was a pink cloud with brown liquid pouring from it.

“Is…is that a cotton candy cloud?” Eris asked. “I-I couldn’t make that until I was twice your age!”

“And chocolate milk rain, don’t forget the chocolate milk rain!” Discord proudly stated.

Eris immediately hugged Discord. “Oh, I’m so proud of my little monster! You really are going to show those Windigos what for!”

“Mom! Hey, Mom!” Strife ran up to the two.

Eris’ tone immediately changed as she looked uninterested. “Yes, Strife. What is it?”

“Well, remember Bonnie? That bird I was looking after?” Strife asked. “By the end of the day, I think she might be ready to fly! Won’t that be awesome?”

Eris sighed. “Strife, sweetie. When are you going to learn that’s not how a draconequus acts?”

“But not every draconequus acts the same.” Strife tried to explain.

“But of course! And I’m sure your idea of chaos is…picking-” Eris started chuckling. “Picking flowers!” She threw her head back, cackling as Strife felt embarrassed.

“But, Mom! I-” Strife started.

“Dear, being nice is just plain nonsense and…how do you children describe it? Weird to a draconequus.” Eris scowled.

“But, I thought we liked being weird!” Strife looked confused.

“Honey, honey. Baby, Shnookums.” Another voice spoke up. This was a draconequus that had a pony head with a ruffled mane, a lion’s paw, a T-Rex’s claw, a blue bird’s wing, a dragon fly’s wing, an elephant’s leg, a green lizard’s leg and a purple snake’s tail. This was Harmon. “Let me handle this.”

“But darling, he’s simply talking-” Eris started.

“Ah-ah-ah, you sit your gorgeous self down and let me do all the honors.” Harmon finished, letting his wife feel comfortable.

“You’re right, I’m sorry for snapping,” Eris stared into Harmon’s eyes.

“Ah, forget about it.” Harmon smiled. He then sat next to Strife with a paw on his shoulder. “There’s two kinds of weird out there, kiddo. The good weird where we laugh and have a good time, bada-bing, bada-boom and whatever. Then there’s the bad weird where we’re like…Uh-uh, Mm-mm, No. You? Making friends?...That’s the bad weird. So, you go fix it, eh?”

BAM!

The family turned at the sound of a book slamming shut. They turned and took notice of a larger and more elderly draconequus sitting in a chair while holding a book. He had a pony’s head with a large white mane, a moose’s antler, a ram’s horn, a bear’s paw, a frog’s hand, a crow’s wing, a Pterodactyl’s wing, a duck’s leg, a kangaroo’s leg and a scorpion’s long tail.

“Oh! And how could I forget the worst of all of us?” Discord narrated. “None other than The Granddaddy Of Chaos And Destruction!”

“Well, what was he like?” SpongeBob asked.

Granddaddy got up from his seat and gave Strife a displeased glare. Strife shrunk as it felt like Granddaddy’s glowing red eyes pierced into his soul as his frightening family member slowly floated away without using his wings due to being that powerful.

“If there’s one piece of advice I’d give during that time,” Discord narrated. “Do not. I repeat. Do NOT get on the bad side of Granddaddy. He was cruel, merciless, and somehow both sharp as a wit and not all there. And that last combination was the most horrific part about him. Believe you me.”

Once Granddaddy was out of sight, Strife’s fear turned to sadness as he slowly walked away, while Discord looked concerned.

“Unfortunately,” Discord continued. “Strife was the only family member already on that side.”

Later, Strife was up in a tree with Bonnie, the baby bird he was talking about. “Come on, Bonnie!” He told the bird in his hands. “I know you’re gonna fly today!”

Bonnie chirped, feeling nervous.

“Hey, don’t worry.” Strife opened up his wings. “I mean I’m not an expert on it yet, but I think as long as you don’t think about falling, you’ll be flying!”

“Strife?”

The young draconequus looked up at the mention of his name and saw Discord on the ground.

“Oh! Hi, Discord!” Strife turned to Bonnie. “Be right back.” He then slid down the tree to meet his older brother. “What’s up?”

“Well, I just wanted to see if you’re alright.” Discord answered. “I know our parents don’t approve of your whole…’friendship’ ideas. And the least I say about Granddaddy, the better.”

“Don’t worry,” Strife rolled his eyes. “I won’t be blabbing about this anymore. I know this is important to you and I’m not.”

Discord rose up from beneath the ground in front of Strife. “Now hold on just a minute, brother. Yes, Granddaddy’s approval is important to me! Because I got him and Mother’s reality changing powers, I could be the most powerful draconequus ever! But that doesn’t mean I don’t want you around.”

“Well, why would you?” Strife looked down. “You know what others say. I don’t have powers, I don’t even have a pony’s head. I’m…a freak among freaks.”

“Because you’re my brother.” Discord spoke. “And even if I don’t get friendship, you’re still my brother. Why else did I never use my special powers on you?”

“Yeah, right.” Strife smirked. “Like you used it on our parents?”

“That I did!” Discord nodded. “Whenever I have to put up with their lovey-dovey talk, I gotta pull a trick to shut their yaps!”

Strife smiled, knowing his brother cared for him.

“So, you wanna come back inside?” Discord asked.

“In a little,” Strife looked up. “I gotta see if Bonnie will fly today.”

Discord shrugged. “Suit yourself.” He then flew in the direction of his cave while Strife climbed his way back up the tree.

Once seeing Bonnie again, he opened his wings once more. “Okay, Bonnie. Just focus on your wings. Don’t think of anything else.”

Strife started flapping his wings as Bonnie started doing the same. “That’s it, Bonnie! Don’t stop flapping!”

What Bonnie or Strife didn’t realize is that they were both in the air! When Bonnie looked where she was, she started tweeting happily, no feeling afraid.

“You did it!” Strife spoke, grinning. “You’re flying, girl!”

Bonnie turned and saw other birds flying in the distance which caused her to chirp.

“It’s okay, Bonnie.” Strife smiled. “They’re waiting for you,”

Bonnie happily hugged Strife and went to fly with the other birds. The draconequus sighed, feeling good about helping Bonnie and seeing the beautiful sky.

But then he paused. “Wait, how did I get up here?” His wings suddenly stopped flapping. “Oh no.” He then started falling through the forest and began tumbling down the hills until he landed in a mud puddle.

He got up and tried wiping himself clean. “Bleh! Way to forget your own advice.”

“Alright, draconequus! Stand up where I can see you! Y’all just better put ‘em up!”

Strife immediately stood up with his hands in the air when hearing a voice. “It was an accident, Schism! I swear!” He yelped. But he thought about it more. That voice sounded too young to be from Schism. “Huh?”

“I ain’t scared of anything!” The voice spoke again. “So watch out!”

Strife listened closely. It sounded like the voice of a little girl. He peeked from the bushes and couldn’t believe his eyes.

In the forest was a little blue earth pony filly that had a dark brown mane and tail while carrying a stick in her hoof. She was standing over the edge of a waterfall.

“She was the first pony I’ve ever seen.” Strife narrated. “At that moment, I thought to myself. A pony? Here? But, where are the Windigos?”

The filly looked at her stick, annoyed. “Ah, who am I kiddin’?” She grunted. “There’s no draconequus around here! I was plum fooled!” She then tossed the stick at a bush, frustrated.

“Ow!”

The filly shot up when hearing a voice. She turned around and saw Strife walking out of the bush, pulling the stick out of his eye. Upon seeing the draconequus, she went bug-eyed.

“Uh, hi.” Strife spoke. “Does my eye look bad to you?”

“AAAAAAAAAH!!!!” The filly shrieked and jumped back in fear. “Y-y-you’re a draconequus!”

Strife walked towards her. “Whoa! Hey, hey! Easy!”

“B-b-but you can’t be!” The filly crawled backwards. “Your head!”

“Yeah, I’m a weird one if you can believe it.” Strife shrugged. “But really! I’m not gonna eat you or anything! I’m just as shocked as you are!”

“...Why?” The filly held her hoof up.

“How can you even be here?” Strife asked. “Aren’t the Windigos out destroying the world or something?”

“W-w-windigos?” The filly walked backwards, more. “They haven’t been around in years! Some ponies even think they’re myths!”

“Wait!” Strife looked up. “The Windigos are gone? There’s more of you?”

“Why do you ca-AAAAAH!” The filly stepped too far backwards over the edge of the waterfall. But she quickly grabbed onto the ledge.

Strife gasped as he ran over. “Quick, take my paw!”

“Why are you helping me?!” The filly asked in worry.

“What else can I do?” Strife asked back.

The filly was surprised this creature was acting so friendly. She reached out her hoof for his paw.

CRACK!

“AAAAAAAAAH!!!!” The filly screamed as the edge broke off and she began falling!

Strife looked scared, but without a second thought, flew down towards her. In no time, he caught her before she could plummet and flew her back up to the top. They both fell over, exhausted.

Strife he realized what just happened and grew excited. “I…I flew! I actually flew!” He looked towards the filly. “And I found out the Windigos are gone!” He flew in the air as the filly looked confused. “YEAH! WOO-HOO! HOW’S THAT FOR A FREAK AMONG FREAKS? I’M MIGHTY! I’M UNSTOPPABLE! I’M-”

Strife paused and grew wide-eyed of who was in the distance. It was Granddaddy, out for a stroll in the woods. Reality hit Strife like a ton of bricks as he grew terrified. “-In big trouble!”

The young draconequus gasped as he saw Granddaddy floating towards his way, but didn’t see him or the filly.

“Quick, hide!” Strife quickly pushed the filly in some bushes and dove inside.

“What are we-?” The filly tried to ask.

“Shhh!” Strife shushed. “Don’t make any noise!”

Strife slowly peeked his eyes through the bushes and saw Granddaddy floating towards the waterfall. He looked down over the falls, but started twitching.

“Ah-ACHOO!” Granddaddy sneezed and took out a tissue to blow into. Once he was finished, he crumpled his tissue and tossed it into the falls.

KABOOOOOOOM!

After a couple seconds, an enormous explosion of water erupted from where the tissue landed as rocks also flew everywhere with Strife and the filly dodging them without revealing themselves. Granddaddy turned to float away while smirking evilly.

Once Granddaddy left the scene, Strife sighed in relief. “You can come out now! He’s gone!” He spoke as the filly emerged from the bushes. “Oh, if Granddaddy saw us, we’d be history!”

“Hold up,” The filly spoke. “Weren’t you over the moon a minute ago?”

“Well, yeah. But then it hit me.” Strife began to explain. “If he found out the Windigos aren’t around anymore, he’ll rule over all you ponies! And you’d be in grave danger.”

The filly raised an eyebrow. “But why didn’t you rat me out? Why were you afraid?”

Strife sheepishly turned to the filly. “Well…I’m not like other draconequui. And Granddaddy doesn’t really care about me anyway. I couldn’t just let him hunt you down. I…I-I like helping others.” He sighed, looking away. “That sounds…really stupid, huh?”

In a surprising gesture, the filly put a hoof around Strife. “You kidding? I don’t think it’s stupid at all. You just saved my life twice already! And to me, we’re cool like a swimming pool.”

Strife giggled at the filly’s quirky yet comforting words. “Thanks, uh…” He then realized something. “Hey! I never got your name! Mine’s Strife! What’s your’s?”

The filly blushed and turned. “I…kinda hate it.”

“Aww, come on!” Strife flew in front of her. “Tell me it!”

The filly sighed. “...Rosebud.”

“Wow…” Strife spoke in awe. “That’s a beautiful name. Why would you hate that?”

“‘Cuz it doesn’t suit me!” Rosebud answered. “I wanna be a tough pony. Who laughs in the face of terror! And what am I called? Stupid Lil’ Rosebud.”

“Well, what if it was something smaller?” Strife suggested. “Like Rosie? Or…Bud?”

“Bud?” The filly asked.

The draconequus’ face began to turn red. “Like, I don’t know…I can be your bud…And you could be mine?” He turned away, feeling like he said the dumbest thing ever. But then, he felt himself hugged by the filly.

“Strife,” The filly started. “I’d love more than anything to be your Bud.”

“You would?” Strife began to fly up in the air. “YEAH-HA! WOO-HOO-HOO!”

“Strife? Oh, brother!”

Strife stood still upon hearing a familiar voice calling. “Discord!” He turned to Bud. “Would you wanna meet up again?”

“Sure, Strife!” Bud nodded. “How about tomorrow?”

“Yeah, tomorrow!” Strife spun in the air. “Same time, just no waterfalls or scary grandparents.”

“It’s a deal!” Bud giggled as she began to leave. “Catch you later!”

As Bud vanished from sight, Strife sighed and fell in the grass happily. Finally, someone who liked him for who he is. Someone who appreciated his kindness. He finally found a friend. “Best…Day…Ever.”

“Oh, Brother! Where art thou?” Discord called again.

Strife snapped back to his senses and called back. ‘I’m all right, Discord! I just uh…hurt my leg!”

“What?” Discord called.

Strife got up. “I said I hurt-!”

“MY LEG!!!!!!”

“Whoa, what the-?!” Back in the present, Strife shook his head when seeing Fred on his snout and making direct eye contact.

“Sorry, I couldn’t help but overhear.” Fred spoke, climbing down. “In fact, a lot of us couldn’t!”

Strife noticed a lot of other Bikini Bottomites in The Krusty Krab gathered around the table, looking eager.

Sandy playfully elbowed the draconequus. “Somethin’ tells me they’re liking your story, Strifey! Care to continue?”

Strife looked back at all the customers and shrugged with a smile, honored that so many were here for him. “What’s stopping me now?”

The customers cheered, happy to hear more.

Mr. Krabs then stood in front. “Alright, all of yas! If you’re here to listen to stories. You’ll have to pay up!” He placed a sign that said ‘Strife’s Backstory - $5.00’. “That means you, Bubble Bass!”

“Ugh, fine.” Bubble Bass scoffed. “But so far, this whole thing sounds like some cheap fanfiction!”

As more customers kept tuning in to hear more, Squidward groaned. “Sure, let’s get overcrowded, why not?”

“And why is that a problem, Squiddy?”

Squidward turned and yelped, seeing a familiar face. “S-Squilliam FancySon?!”

“The one and only!” His smug rival replied. “Sure, having a front row seat to your pathetic job is already worth paying for. But Strife’s backstory is intriguing too!”

“Typical.” Squidward muttered.

Strife looked over at more and more fish around until he too heard a familiar voice. “Come on! Come on! Don’t leave us dying of boredom!”

Strife was surprised to see his former partner in evil. “Plankton? You’re here?”

“Well, yeah!” Plankton shrugged, sitting on top of Karen. “I tried stealing the formula two minutes ago. Surprised you didn’t hear us.” He pointed to charred remains of one of his machines. “And instead of wallowing in defeat, I felt this could be a better way to kill some time.”

“And it gets me with my group!” Karen turned to Sandy, Mrs. Puff and Pearl as all they said in unison and high-fived. “Gal Pals!”

“So, what happened with you and Bud?” Pearl asked.

“And your brother?” Mrs. Puff added.

“I got popcorn!” Plankton gleefully held up a huge popcorn bucket. “I mean…I had to bring something.”

Strife began to think back and visualize. “Being friends with Bud was something I’ll always treasure. It turns out Bud was from the newly discovered Equestria. In secret, we met up as much as we could, through the best of times and the worst of times. But no matter what, we got through them together. And as the years rolled by, Bud would share with me the best events of her life. Graduation…Marriage…and expecting twins. At this point, nothing could go wrong.”

It was now sunset and Strife was told to meet Bud near the entrance of the woods he lived in. He flew towards it and saw a hooded pony waiting. She removed her hood revealing Bud.

“It’s great to see you, Bud!” Strife smiled.

“You too, Strife.” Bud nodded. “But…I need to tell ya something important…A confession.”

Strife looked concerned. “What is it?”

Bud looked up with regretful eyes. “I couldn’t keep the secret anymore. I had to tell my family of our friendship.”

Strife’s heart began racing in stress. “You…told your family?”

“I’m sorry, Strife! I had to!” Bud turned away. “You know the history between draconequui and ponies. I have a family now and I need to be honest!”

Strife looked down, knowing he couldn’t argue with that. But he felt Bud touch his paw and stroke it. “But I got good news y’all would wanna hear. My family wants to meet and get to know you. They trust my judgement after all. We’ve been friends for a very long time since we were kids…and I want it to last longer.”

Strife looked into the eyes of his first friend and smiled. “For how long we’ve been together, Bud. I’ll do anything.”

“Thank you so much, Strife!” Bud was so overwhelmed with joy and relief as she hugged Strife and he shared the embrace.

As they let go, Strife asked. “So, tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow.” Bud beamed. “And I’ll be right beside you.”

Strife nodded. “It’s a deal.”

Bud then departed on her way back home as Strife waved. While still feeling nervous. He knew if Bud was there, there would be no problems.

“And how long was that?”

Strife’s eyes shot open in fear as his blood ran cold. He slowly turned around and saw Discord looking shocked and horrified. “Discord, I can explain.”

“You’re friends with a pony?!” Discord shook his brother. “How is this even possible?! Where are those blasted Windigos, anyway?!”

“Gone…?” Strife confessed.

Discord pulled his brother closer. “For how long?” Strife looked down, feeling ashamed. “How. Long?” Discord asked again.

Strife gulped. “Before me and Bud became friends?”

Discord put his hands to his head. “How could you not tell me any of this?! We could’ve ruled the world years ago and you lied to us! We’ve been hiding in this forest for nothing! What if Mother and Father found out?!” He gravely paused. “What if Granddaddy finds out?”

“NO!” Now it was Strife’s turn to pull Discord to him. “You cannot tell Granddaddy! If he finds out, who knows what he’ll do to Bud?!”

“Ohhhh, what’s the DEAL with this?!” Discord moaned. “Friendship is something we can’t get caught up in! We’re creatures of chaos! Chaos is what we know!”

“Well, maybe friendship is more important than causing chaos and harm.” Strife spoke up. “With what me and Bud are doing, this could put an end to the feud and be the start of something wonderful and new!”

“But, brother-“ Discord tried to say.

“Please, Discord!” Strife begged. “Don’t tell Granddaddy about Bud! Let me tell him when the time is right. You didn’t have anything to do with this, you shouldn’t even worry!”

“Now, I was new to this whole concept of friendship and wasn’t exactly on board with Strife’s proposition.” Discord narrated. “But at the same time, he was my brother. I felt the need to hear him out.”

Discord looked into Strife’s pleading eyes and let out a sigh as he shrugged. “Who’s Bud?”

Strife grinned as he hugged his brother. “Oh thank you, Discord! Yes, thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK you!”

Discord smiled during the hug, but still looked uneasy.

“For the most part at dinner, I acted casual.” Discord continued. “Even if I literally had the fate of the whole world in the palm of my hands. I didn’t even feel the need to prank Mother and Father during their lovey-dovey schlop. The important thing was, I didn’t squeal. When dinner was over, I felt I was in the-“

“Discord?”

The draconequus felt a chill run up his spine hearing his name called from the last creature he wanted.

“After you clean up…meet me in my lair.” Granddaddy spoke before levitating away.

“Y-yes, Granddaddy!” Discord called, trying to act innocent. Once alone, he had a big gulp.

A few minutes later, Discord opened the door to Granddaddy’s chambers. He looked up and saw the elderly draconequus in his seat, staring at him. “Uh…” Discord walked in. “Greetings, great Granddaddy…!”

Granddaddy stretched his neck all the way to Discord, looking at him with his red pools of eyes, while smiling. “Now…Discord. You know I’m very…proud of what…you’ve become.”

“Much obliged you think that way, Granddaddy.” Discord nodded. “If that’s all you wanted, maybe I should just make an exit!”

SLAM!

The door suddenly slammed shut, catching Discord off guard.

“Not so…not so fast…” Granddaddy put his paw down. “I wasn’t…finished…yet.”

“I’msorryGranddaddyIwon’tdoitagain.” Discord bowed.

“But I have…suspicions of your brother…” Granddaddy continued. “And they seem…to be bothering you…tonight….at dinner.”

“Who, Strife?” Discord laughed, nervously. “Oh no, not at all! He’s a chip off the old chaotic block if you ask me!”

Granddaddy raised an eyebrow and tilted his head, staring at the cheeky yet nervous Discord. He then smiled.

“You know what I’d like, Discord?” Granddaddy started. “I’d like to get me…some pudding, like vanilla. Mmmm…”

Discord darted his eyes in every corner, not sure how to react.

“You know, the kind where it’s just right…and that little…swirl at the top.” He waved his fingers as if to make a swirl.

“Are you…” Discord started. “Trying to make pudding?”

“Wha-? Oh no, I just like doing this with my hands, it’s fun…” Granddaddy spoke. “But back to the pudding. But you know what I like…best with pudding?”

“What is it?” Discord asked.

BOOM!

Granddaddy slammed his fist down and Discord was magically caught in the air and levitated to face his now terrifying glare.

“Dirt.” Granddaddy sneered at his sweating grandson. “Dirt is what I love best with pudding…and the dirt from Strife is what. I. Want…NOW!!!”

“THE WINDIGOS WERE GONE FOR A LONG TIME AND STRIFE WAS ALSO FRIENDS WITH A PONY! HE JUST TOLD ME AND THEY’RE MEETING TOMORROW MORNING, GRANDDADDY!” Discord shouted in fear. Before he knew it, he exploded into pieces on the floor, stressed. It took no time to reassemble, though.

“Good boy.” Granddaddy patted his emotionally shattered grandson’s head. “We’ll take care of this tomorrow.”

Discord sadly bowed. “Yes, Granddaddy.” He then prepared to take his leave.

“Oh and Discord?” Granddaddy asked.

“Yes, Granddaddy?” Discord turned back.

“Get me some pudding.” Granddaddy finished.

It was now morning in the land of ponies and a little filly and colt were running towards a hill in excitement.

“Hurry up, Mama!” Called the filly. “I bet I can see her friend from here, Aster!”

“Well, I bet I can see him from three miles, Begonia!” The colt spoke to his sister.

“Alright, y’all.” Bud chuckled, walking up to her children. “We just gotta stay together when Strife gets here.”

The energetic kids cheered happily while still playing. Bud watched smiling while an unsure stallion walked next to her.

Bud looked to the stallion. “What is it, Cedar?”

Cedar sighed. “I just hope this draconequus is true to his word, honey.”

Bud placed a hoof on her husband’s cheek. “I trust Strife with my life, sugar. He’d never hurt me.” She pulled out a present with aqua and pink wrapping. “I’ve been waiting to give him this.”

“Mama, Mama! Look!” Begonia jumped in the air.

“I see him! There he is!” Aster pointed.

Strife was indeed beyond the hills and could see Bud’s family. He took a deep breath, ready to make the next step with his first friend.

The kids began running up happily, but paused and looked afraid. They quickly yelped and hid behind Bud.

Strife laughed. “It’s okay, it’s okay, youngsters, I don’t bite. Ask your mother! Right, Bud?”

But when looking at Bud, he noticed she was looking just as scared along with Cedar.

“Bud, it’s…it’s me!” Strife tried to say. “Hey, whatcha got there?” He eyed the present.

Bud then pointed behind Strife as he turned around and gasped. “Oh no…”

Appearing from the clouds were Granddaddy, Eris, Harmon and a guilty Discord. The older three however looked on with evil grins.

“Strife?” Bud asked. “W-what’s going on?”

Granddaddy chuckled. “Strife is just where I…thought he would be. This…land of ponies…is now ours for the taking.”

Cedar grew angry at Strife. “This was all a scheme! You lied to my wife!”

“No!” Strife turned to the scared equines. “I didn’t know about this!”

“Now let’s have some fun.” Granddaddy snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, the whole land began to shake violently as cracks began to form in the ground, causing Begonia and Aster to fall through them.

“KIDS!” Bud and Cedar immediately rushed over to save them.

“Showtime,” Harmon devilishly grinned as he raised his claw.

Electricity shot from the grass, heading towards Bud and her family.

“Please stop!” Strife begged.

“My turn!” Eris sang as she clapped her hands. Cotton candy clouds showed up in the air and began thundering while pouring chocolate rain.

“Ah, there ya see?” Harmon spoke to Bud’s family. “THAT. Is the work of a dame, I love her!”

“Quick, Bud! Let’s get out while we can!” Cedar spoke while gathering Begonia and Aster.

“Bud, wait!” Strife stopped in front of his friend. “I had no part in this, you gotta believe me!”

“Honey, quick!” Cedar called. “It isn’t safe!”

Bud looked up at Strife’s sad eyes…but tears began to form in her own as she ran from the draconequus.

Strife was left in the middle of the chaos, devastated. “No, PLEASE! WAAAAAAAAIIIIT!!!!!!”

“Hear this, our fellow draconequui!” Granddaddy rose up for all to see. “This is the time! We shall have-“

“NO!” Strife flew to Granddaddy and began pleading. “Please spare these ponies! Things aren’t the same anymore! I’m begging, Granddaddy!”

Granddaddy raised an eyebrow. “Don’t make a scene for me, Strife. I didn’t find out…on my own.”

Granddaddy moved from the way, revealing Discord, still looking guilty.

Strife couldn’t believe what he was realizing. “…Discord?…You…You told him?”

“Strife, please!” Discord tried to explain. “I didn’t want you to suffer like this!”

“I lost my first friend ever because of YOU!” Strife yelled. “And now she HATES me, thinking I put her family in danger!”

“Strife, you’re talking complete nonsense!” Discord spoke up. “You’re overreacting a great deal about this! Friendship isn’t what we are! We’re meant to cause chaos and-“

“YOU TOOK HER AWAY FROM ME!” Strife roared. “She was the only one who actually cared about me!!!”

“The only one?” Now, Discord was getting mad. “The only one?! How could you possibly forget all of the times I cared for you and had your back?! Was that not enough support?!”

“You call this support?!” Strife growled. “Sure, you always having to kiss up to Granddaddy is just what I NEEDED!” In rage, he slashed Discord’s face with his paw.

“GAH!” Discord yelled and clutched his face in pain before Strife tackled him and bit his tail.

Discord roared and pushed Strife over and pinned his face down to the ground. But Strife kicked him off and they both got on all fours, letting out their animal sides as they snarled and circled around each other.

“The fight between me and Strife was not a pleasant memory. One that lasted a good few minutes.” Discord narrated. “We roared and scratched!”

Spike looked scared as SpongeBob and Patrick hid behind an equally scared Big Mac.

Strife lunged for Discord while he slapped him with his paw.

“We scratched and roared!” Strife narrated.

The Bikini Bottomites gasped while Squidward and Squilliam held onto each other and Plankton grinned evilly.

Strife grabbed Discord’s tail and threw him to the grass. Discord looked up and saw Strife leaping towards him, roaring furiously.

Without thinking, Discord’s hand began glowing. He swung it towards Strife, electrocuting him as he flew backwards.

When Strife fell to the ground with a thud, Discord’s eyes widened in horror. “Oh no!” He flew over and saw Strife charred and sparkling as he coughed.

“Strife! Strife, I’m so sorry!” Discord frantically apologized.

Strife looked up with heartbroken eyes at his older brother.

Discord reached out his hand. “I didn’t mean to use my powers on you! Please understand, brother! I-“

Strife drew his hand back, giving a hard glare to Discord. He got up on his own and opened his wings.

“Don’t call me brother.” Strife hissed. With a gigantic flap of his wings, he took off into the sky.

“Strife! No!” Discord shouted out. “Don’t leave, please! NOOOOO!!!!!”

But it was too late. His brother was gone, out of sight. Never to return.

Discord fell to his knees and looked at his hands. “…What have I done?”

Discord suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. “What you…had to do, Discord.” Granddaddy spoke. “But we shouldn’t put all the blame…on your brother. It’s those…PONIES that twisted his mind.”

Discord looked up as Granddaddy continued. “It’s always been this way. Shunning us…and taking everything for themselves. Now…they took your brother.”

Discord’s eyes narrowed as he gazed upon the land.

“This place of ponies is…like a waffle.” Granddaddy spoke. “And if a waffle can’t exist without syrup…no place…can exist without…Chaos.”

“Your Granddaddy sure liked to talk about food a lot.” Spike spoke up.

“He was always hungry, I’ll admit.” Discord agreed.

“Can we get pizza?” Patrick asked.

“Now…do you understand what must be done?” Granddaddy asked.

A horrid grin stretched on Discord’s face. “I do…dear Granddaddy.” He snapped his fingers and teleported up high.

“Ponies of this land!” Discord announced as his voice echoed. “I have wonderful news! Although it’s more wonderful for me. Your land…IS OURS!” He turned to his family. “Hear this, fellow draconequui! This is the time! We shall have our revenge!”

“That’s our BOY!!!” Eris and Harmon held each other happily while Granddaddy folded his arms and looked on with a wicked grin.

Discord then poofed up a pink umbrella and opened it upside down as it made a cat sound. “Hear that, my little ponies? It looks like we might be due for a big ol’ storm of CHAOS!!!!!” He threw his head back and let out an insane cackle as thunder roared in the clouds and other draconequui rose from the forest, laughing evilly with their new leader.

Discord chuckled devilishly to himself, waving a slice of pizza in the air. “Oh, yes! Things were certainly going my way from there! Chaos truly was a party that never stopped!” He noticed SpongeBob, Patrick, Spike and Big Mac staring at him with their own pizza. He then cleared his throat. “But it certainly wouldn’t be good now. No, it wouldn’t.”

“Well, you were known to be the only one around for quite a while.” Spike spoke. “What happened to the rest of your family?”

“Well, you have the legendary Starswirl The Bearded to thank for that.” Discord rolled his eyes as he visualized. “When he came around, he unleashed a very powerful spell that banished every last draconequus around to a parallel universe. So, I guess everyone can stop thinking I’m Starswirl. Not that I mind the attention.” In a flash of light, Discord appeared in Starswirl’s attire.

“Gee, Discord.” SpongeBob looked up. “You don’t seem that crushed about your family.”

“Well, turning over a new leaf made me realize my family was…honestly pretty terrible.” Discord shuddered before he went back to visualizing. “But unfortunately for Starswirl, I reached the point where I was the most powerful creature in all of Equestria, so his spell had no effect on me!”

Starswirl The Bearded was now looking at a book with two young alicorn fillies, one taller with a colorful mane and tail, while the other dark blue with a light blue mane and tail.

“Although, yes.” Discord narrated. “I definitely underestimated his pupils.”

The fillies now grown up as Princess Celestia and Princess Luna used The Elements Of Harmony against a taunting and laughing Discord, as he didn’t realize he was being frozen in stone.

Time passed, and now it was thundering and raining in the Canterlot Gardens where the statue of Discord currently was. Strife was peeking through a bush at his brother.

“I didn’t know who was the cause yet or how it happened.” Strife narrated. “But I could tell from the pose this was in, it could not have been anything else but my trapped brother…And I was the only draconequus left.”

Strife turned away and looked down, but anger boiled up inside him as he flew away to parts unknown.

“But at that point, I couldn’t care much.” Strife continued. “As for where I was, I was lonely. But I managed to keep myself hidden for many years and was able to survive and stop by to make an animal friend or two. But one night, I was discovered. I was captured by a group of ponies in the marketplace of Canterlot and was brought to Princess Celestia herself.”

“Your Highness! Your Highness!” A guard called out as he and a few others rushed into the throne room where Celestia was. “We found one! Another creature resembling the monster in the gardens! Bring him in!”

A captured Strife in a net was thrown before Celestia as she looked shocked and surprised.

“He was found hiding in the marketplace!” Another guard spoke. “Probably was going to try and eat us by surprise!”

“No, wait!” Strife struggled as a concerned Celestia approached him. “Your highness! Whoever you are! Please listen! I’m not like any other draconequus!”

“Don’t listen, Princess!” Another guard stood in front. “He’s lying! He must be disposed of! Think of our subjects!”

Celestia looked upon the sad and terrified eyes of Strife and could not help but feel pity. But there were more thoughts in her head as she reluctantly turned.

“My subjects and anypony else I love come first.” She gravely spoke. “Take him to the dungeon underground.”

Strife looked crushed and was rendered speechless as he was dragged away.

“Now by the time I returned from stone,” Discord narrated.

“Second time,” Spike corrected, annoyed.

“Yes, yes.” Discord continued. “I was on the road to redemption thanks to Fluttershy. But shortly after, we received an urgent letter from Celestia. We went over and she explained the situation of another draconequus captured for many years. She was hoping we could fix this problem before she had to.”

“I’m still surprised, Discord. Another draconequus?” Fluttershy asked as she and Discord neared the underground dungeon. “I thought they were all banished.”

“They were!” Discord shrugged as he opened the door. “I don’t know who else couldn’t have been…near?”

Discord looked into the cell before him and immediately recognized the figure in the corner with his back turned.

“…Brother?” Discord asked in shock.

Fluttershy’s eyes widened. “Brother?”

Strife looked up and behind upon that word. “Discord?…Is that you?”

Discord rushed over to the cell. “Strife! Brother, it is you! It IS you!”

“Where have you been?!” They both asked.

“My, my.” Discord looked closely. “Look what the years have done to us.”

“Hmph,” Strife snorted. “I guess being immortal can’t change how we’ll look.” And then, Fluttershy caught his eye as she shyly waved. “Who’s this?”

“Dear brother!” Discord spoke. “Allow me to introduce you to Fluttershy, my friend.”

Friend.

That word rang through Strife’s head like a gong as he looked shocked. “Excuse me?”

“Well, these ponies have given me a chance to change my ways and use my powers for good!” He leaned in close. “And it’s working!” He jumped back, happily. “How does that sound?”

Strife’s shocked look changed to anger. “How does that sound?! After everything between us and after everything I lost, you want to know how you getting all the friendship you want sounds?!!”

Discord was caught off guard. “I…Well, I-“

“This was your goal all along! Wasn’t it?!” Strife growled. “You just wanted to take the very thing I wanted and laugh in my face for it! You’re now loved by everypony while I’m…I’m…”

“Strife, don’t!” Discord tried to say.

“A freak among freaks.” Strife turned away, bitterly. “…Get out.”

“Brother, I never wanted-“ Discord walked closer.

“I said GET OUT!!!!!!” Strife screamed in animalistic fury as Discord quickly took Fluttershy and flew out of Canterlot as fast as he could and landed on a grassy spot.

Once Fluttershy regained her balance, she looked at Discord, sitting by himself.

“Once I thought I had him back,” Discord narrated. “I lost him all over again and worse than before.”

Discord sadly glanced at Fluttershy before turning away and covering his face. The pegasus walked over and put a hoof on his back.

Discord looked down, remembering that last painful memory while SpongeBob, Patrick, Spike and Big Mac could only watch. “And I suppose you know the rest from there.”

“But, Discord!” SpongeBob jumped out of his spot. “There’s gotta be some way for you and Strife to fix this! You’re brothers?”

“Brothers, schmothers, SpongeBob.” Discord walked to his window. “What’s the most important thing about it?”

Big Mac then rose from where he was and walked over to the draconequus. “Now look here, Discord. As the older sibling of two mahself, Ah for one know that after bad moments, you can’t just call it quits right there. You two are family, the only ones of your kind around now. So, you gotta make this right.”

Everyone was shocked at Big Mac’s statement after being so quiet.

“But where would I-” Discord started.

“AAAAAH! SOMEPONY HELP! HELP!!!!”

The group heard a call for help and rushed outside Discord’s house. Outside in the chaotic realm, they saw a mailpony with blue fur and dark brown mane and tail hanging on a tree with flying badgers below chomping at her.

“That mailpony needs help!” Spike spoke.

“Right, Spike!” SpongeBob agreed. He, Patrick, Spike and Big Mac huddled. “Now, I’ll go make a distraction and-”

“Ahem?”

The four turned and saw Discord holding the mailpony unharmed.

“That works too.” Spike shrugged.

Discord then gently set the mailpony on the ground. Once she looked up at Discord, she smiled big. “Thank ya, kindly.”

“Um…you’re welcome?” Discord stepped back, not sure how to feel.

“Oh, where are my manners?” The mailpony spoke. “My name’s Rosie. This is my first time delivering mail to your realm and I’ve worked real hard to get here so I could meet a draconequus! It’d be the second time in my family and-”

“Wait, wait!” Spike paused. “The second time?”

“You bet, sugar.” Rosie smiled. “It was long ago when Equestria was founded, my ancestor was secretly friends with a draconequus-”

“Named Strife?” Discord asked.

“Yes.” Rosie nodded, surprised. “How did-”

“You’re looking at his brother, right here.” Discord stood before her as she gazed upon him in awe.

SpongeBob gasped at this realization. “You’re Bud’s descendant!”

“How convention!” Patrick added before asking Big Mac. “Is uh…is that how you say it?”

“Nope.” Big Mac shook his head.

“Rosie,” Spike began. “Can you help us with something?”

“Whatcha need, baby?” Rosie asked.

“To mend a relationship torn between two brothers.” SpongeBob spoke in a dramatic tone. “Can you by any chance have some sort of miracle to bring them together?” He stood back, sheepishly. “Sorry, got carried away there.”

Rosie gave a warm grin. “You know, I was hoping I could pass a certain something on. Mind if I give a quick tour of my home?”

Discord looked at his friends urging him on and bowed before Rosie. “Lead the way.”

Rosie smiled as the six all took hands as Discord flew up to the exit, led by a sign saying ‘The Bottomless Pit’.

As they were all gone from sight. An old man in a suit and fez floated towards the sign with a red marker and wrote. ‘Name legally owned by Stan Pines. Pay up.’

“Ha-ha!” Stan grinned. “Now let’s bring on the interdimensional dough!”

“Hey, how’s it going?”

Stan looked over and saw a middle aged, overweight man with brown hair and glasses sitting nonchalantly on a floating stool.

“Uh…hey, there?” Stan greeted.

“Name’s Peter Griffin. How’s it hanging?” The man asked.

“Stan Pines.” Stan introduced. “What are you doing here?”

“Oh, I was looking for the bathroom and I found this random portal and I walked in thinking it was there.” Peter explained. “I…yeah, I-I don’t think it’s here.”

Stan put a finger to his head. “So, I have a legit reason why I’m at least here.”

“Let’s hear it!” Peter urged.

“So, I’m in the forest and I see this portal.”

“Yeah?”

“At first, it looked weird and I didn’t want to have anything to do with it.”

“Uh-huh.”

“But I look over and I see a sign advertising ‘The Bottomless Pit’, something I came up with!”

“Not fair.”

“Right? Even if it’s not from my dimension, I should get paid for the name at least!”

“100% justified.”

“THANK you! So I gotta make sure I get fair rights, but then I see you.”

“Yeah, Peter Griffin.”

“Who just wandered in here to find his bathroom which is regularly part of the house you live in.”

“Yeah. That-that sounds about right.”

Stan stared at Peter. “You’re weird. You’re a weird man.” He then grinned. “I like you! You wanna hang out and do fun stuff that’s totally not legal?”

Peter grew excited. “You had me at fun!”

“Yeah!” Stan and Peter high-fived each other. “Freeze frame high-fives!”

Back at The Krusty Krab, Strife was just wrapping up his side of the story.

“And if you know me,” Strife spoke. “You know why I’m here now.”

So many of the Bikini Bottomites looked saddened by Strife’s story. Pearl in particular was on the verge of tears.

“Oh, that’s…that’s so heartbreaking!” She began bawling her eyes out as Mrs. Puff started comforting her.

“On the plus side, a lot of people love my popcorn!” Plankton grinned, but he noticed many customers sobbing and stress eating it. “Not the way I thought of using it though.”

FLASH!

In a flash of light poofed in SpongeBob, Patrick, Discord and Spike and Big Mac with bubbles on their heads.

“SpongeBoy me Bob!” Mr. Krabs got up, happily.

“And is that-?” Squilliam asked.

Discord sheepishly waved to the Bikini Bottomites. “Good afternoon, fish friends! Discord, master of Chaos speaking!”

After a couple seconds, Harold got out of his chair. “So, you like stealing friendships, do ya?! Well, we’ll teach you a lesson, creep!” Many of the customers were about to rough up Discord, but Strife stood in the way.

“Guys, guys! I appreciate the support but…I got this.” Strife spoke as the customers sat back down. Strife turned to his brother, civil like. “So, Discord. What brings you here?”

“Oh, just got back from sharing our history with some friends.” Discord answered.

“Huh. So did I.” Strife nodded.

“Hmm, small world.” Discord agreed.

“I think it’s more of two worlds, really.” Squidward muttered to Mr. Krabs.

“But the important thing is, our relationship needs fixing.” Discord continued. “So I found you something.”

“Discord, hey. You really didn’t need to-“ Strife was about to say. But then he looked at what Discord brought. It was the same aqua and pink wrapped present from…

“Bud?” Strife spoke. He also noticed a note on top and read, almost like he heard the voice of Bud again after so many years.

“Hey, Strife. The last time we saw each other wasn’t pretty. I myself hated to leave you. But if you ever find this note, you need to keep going. Even if our time together ended sadly, in this world of chaos and heartache, there will still be those out there who will be more than happy to be your friend. Never lose sight of that fact, baby. If you still think you’re a freak among freaks, just remember.

It’s because you’re the best kind.

Love, your Bud.”

Strife had tears streaming from his eyes, but remembered he still had her present. He unwrapped the present and inside was a gold necklace with an old picture of Bud herself on it.

He gazed up at Discord who also had tears in his eyes. “I don’t know if this still doesn’t fix everything but-Oof!”

Strife latched onto Discord, giving him the biggest hug he could. “I’d say it does.”

Discord himself then shared the embrace.

SpongeBob, Spike and everyone else present began cheering and applauding in happiness over their reconciliation.

Squidward and Squilliam both tearfully looked at each other.

“I know I say this a lot, but…” Squidward started before bawling. “BUT I’M SO JEALOUS OF YOU!!!!”

“I KNOW!!!” Squilliam blubbered. “AND I’M JUST SORRY YOU’RE NOT AS GOOD AS ME!” The two hugged and bawled over each other.

Bubble Bass watched Discord and Strife and pulled out his notepad. “Oh, this is SO going in my fanfiction!”

Mr. Krabs and Plankton both watched the two draconequui and shared the popcorn. “This is pretty good, Plankton!” Mr. Krabs munched. “Could ye get me the recipe?”

When hearing that, Plankton slowly stared at Mr. Krabs with his mouth hanging open.

Mr. Krabs looked confused. “What?”

With Discord and Strife back together, the Siblinghooves Social could go off without a hitch. And right now, all the siblings participating including Discord and Strife, now wearing his necklace from Bud, were getting ready for a group picture.

Twilight hugged her former student before joining Shining Armor. “I knew you could do it, SpongeBob!”

“Come on, SpongeBob!” Spike spoke, tugging on SpongeBob’s shirt. “Cadance has a spot saved for us!”

SpongeBob however caught notice of Celestia and Luna and turned back to Spike. “You go on ahead with Patrick and Big Mac. I’ll catch up!”

He walked over to the royal figures, and bowed. “Uh…hi.”

Celestia warmly smiled. “Why hello there, SpongeBob.”

“May I ask you two something?” SpongeBob rose up.

“Of course, young one.” Luna nodded. The three then went to a private corner.

“Well, I was thinking,” SpongeBob started. “What plans were you thinking of for Strife a while back since Discord’s first try didn’t work?”

Celestia and Luna both looked at each other and beamed. “Why, SpongeBob.” Celestia spoke. “It was you!”

“Me?” SpongeBob looked confused.

“Of course.” Celestia began to visualize in her mind. “I’ve had a vision of Strife returning for many years. And I knew I had to do something. When meeting Strife, it was hard to tell if he was telling the truth or as bad as Discord was. And after me and Luna reunited. We had to think of something and fast. But while trying to cast a spell for answers, Luna and I came across a peculiar vision out of our cauldron.”

Celestia and Luna both looked up at the vision and saw a sponge in his underwear climb his ladder. “Today’s the big day, Gary!”

“Meow!” His snail Gary meowed like a cat.

SpongeBob jumped off his diving board. “Look at me! I’m nakeeeeeeeed!”

Celestia and Luna were both amused by this young one’s goofy optimism and began giggling.

“As time passed,” Celestia narrated. “Luna and I would tune into every other one of your adventures.”

“Fancy livin’, here we come! La-la-la-la-laaaa!” SpongeBob and Patrick sang while carrying bags of chocolate bars. Celestia in particular burst out laughing at this vision.

At another vision another day, Mr. Krabs spoke to Squidward. “Mr. Squidward, welcome to the night shift. From now on, The Krusty Krab is open 24 hours a day!”

Squidward got up. “WHAT?!” Suddenly so many different customers began trampling Squidward.

“Wow!” SpongeBob grinned. “Now we never have to stop working!”

“The night shift?” Luna grinned, intrigued. “Ooh, I’m going to like this one.”

“And in order to bring you here,” Celestia continued. “We found the old interdimensional spell Starswirl used many years ago.”

Celestia raised SpongeBob’s chin up. “Me and Luna were so amazed at your optimism, bravery, kindness and dedication to doing the right thing. We knew if anyone could handle Strife, it was you. And now, you’re one of Equestria’s greatest heroes.”

SpongeBob felt truly honored and touched as he looked up to both the Princesses. “Thank you, your highnesses.” They bowed before each other as SpongeBob went to follow Spike, Patrick and Big Mac.

“Okay, everyone!” Twilight called. “Time for the picture before starting the game!” Everyone stood in front of the camera.

“Smile for the camera, Leopold.”

Strife’s attention was turned to the photographer pony’s voice. He revealed himself with slick hair, big eyes and lips with buck teeth.

Strife’s jaw dropped. “Equestria has a Slappy too?!” He muttered in shock.

“Who’s Slappy?” Discord asked.

Strife cringed with an awkward laugh. “I’ll tell ya later.”

“Say Cheese!” The photographer got ready.

“CHEESE!” All the teams spoke in unison.
