Eternally in Grey
Pinkie Pie
Load Full StoryPinkie Pie sat in the bakery. For reasons ‘unknown’, Gummy now had the sharpest fangs than anything in Equestria. In Pinkie’s bed sat Pinkie Pie, Gummy and… her inanimate objects, or rather what was left of them. The flour was spilled all over the floor, as well as the lint pile. She was crying her eyes out, and her hair was now straight.
“It’s not fair, why, why?” Pinkie questioned. “Why couldn’t I just tell them how I felt??” A dark voice was heard in her head, “Because they’ll just laugh at me and they won’t like me anymore…” Pinkie Pie realized it was hers, but with a somewhat grey tone. As she replayed the memory in her of what happened as tears filled her bed.
“I know it’s hard to understand…” Discord said as he tapped Pinkie and discorded her. It was there, the fact that no one ever liked her. Over and over played that memory of the time she had her inanimate friends over always forgetting the last part. She got snapped out the memory as Twilight called, “Pinkie!” She came over and Pinkie interrupted her with her reply. All that time, she heard laughter, laughs in the background, mocking her relentlessly. She couldn’t take it anymore.
“Discordation causes someone to think on the bad side of ponies, with no happiness, no harmony. It usually is very easy on normal ponies, in which they don’t have sense of self. However this information may be outdated it doesn’t matter, as you are the Elements of Harmony, therefore you will have sense of self, however for someone at your… harmony level it usually takes bad moments and based on them creates a… second world in which your trapped in your subconscious that opens the darkest recesses of your heart. And that is the process of discordation” Celestia’s words echoed through the ‘second world’.
It was terrible, her hair was straight and there was a party anywhere but she was, and every time she would walk she would step into a force field, put up by ‘Twilight’ and she would trip, everyone was laughing at her. She was crying so much, and on the first world, the discord went there as she suffered.
“NO!!!!! SHUT UP!!!!!!!” Pinkie couldn’t take it anymore, she got the bucket of turnips and threw it hard on her door, and she was smashing her imitate objects at some invisible force. “Gummy, tell me, tell me what’s happening. How do I smile? Tell me Gummy, Equestria depends on it, Gummy, please.” As she turned she realized, the thing she threw, made her tears well up in her eyes.
It was a picture of her friends, still in normal colors, smiling with her. With their necklaces. Writing was written in everyone’s specific hoofwriting.
As Gummy came over to the picture to eat up, Pinkie interrupted him, with a piece of yummy…cake. “Gummy, do you want this?” Gummy leapt up, and smiled at Pinkie with… a toothless smile. And more colors. “Gummy,” As Pinkie’s voice became more bouncy, “Feel free to have as much cake as you like!” Pinkie stopped. And put her head on her hoof. Hmmmm…. Something’s missing… “Gummy… let me have some cake too!”
POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!
As Pinkie became puffier, and more cake crumbs on her face, she was feeling so happy! Her own little party with Gummy to help save Equestria!!!!!! She knew there was something about Gummy that made her smile. As she remembered, how she got him.
Because Pinkie threw that party, time was scarce and they were behind schedule. This worried the Pie family, so Pinkie was working overtime busting her chops. “Don’t worry everypony! I’ll work longer to compensate!”
As her parents walked away, she realized she was alone. “Oh well. Just keep on going to make them happy!” She thought. She looked up at the sky, and noticed an alligator falling from the sky! “An alligator sky!” She gazed for ages. Until she realized the alligator was actually FALLING.
“Wait! Wait! That alligator is going to crash into my rock farm! What do I do? What do I do??” Without thinking she got three balloons, two blue and one yellow, and tied them together and placed them somewhere.
As the alligator fell he suddenly felt a... bop? As he landed on the balloons, he managed to keep his balance. “Wow, I never knew alligators could do that! I thought they just snap and swim and do alligator stuff! But you’re bigger than the ones mentioned in the book! In fact it said that they couldn’t balance on balloons!”
As Pinkie propped the little alligator on her rock table, she acted like a doctor. “Hmm…your pretty small, maybe your heightly challenged or something, lets have a look at you.” The alligator opened his mouth. And was thinking whether to snap at her, but the party pony looked at him with big bright blue eyes, and he just couldn’t do it. As Pinkie turned over his back she saw confetti. “Wait, this is confetti. This could only come from!...” As she gazed over to her right side she (randomly, for no reason) saw, “A PARTY CANNON!!!!! Oh my Celestia! How did that even get here?” She looked at the alligator and smiled.
And Gummy smiled back.
“Thank you Gummy thank you!” She exclaimed as she gave hug after hug after hug.
“Thank you, you saved Equestria Gummy! You saved Equestria! Ohmygosh! I’m so happy! Here have your very own party cannon! You deserved it! You helped me break free Gummy! You did it you did it!!!!!!!!!!”
The alligator looked at her, with the same smile he gave her years ago, Pinkie gave him the biggest hug in all of Equestria, and went on and on about how she was grateful, speaking constant gibberish or otherwise talking so fast it might as well be constant gibberish.
Gummy just looked at her, a solemn look, and Pinkie Pie knew. Message sent, messaged received.
“I’m sorry Gummy the party can wait, I have to save Equestria!”
