Thorax discovers an old ancient and forgotten ability of certain changelings being able to turn other creatures into changelings.

He shares his discovery with Pharynx, his favorite ling in the world. Together, they begin converting ponies into changelings, slowly replacing most of the population with changelings.

Will anyone be able to stop them? Will they even be discovered?

Unlikely.
