Snowball

Snowball and her family were moving boxes from the moving van into the house, during lunch the father a jack rabbit from Appaloosa noticed that five people just watching them. The mom being a timid being was nervously fumbling with her sandwich. The oldest child was slowly reaching for her pocket knife. Snowball however, just simply stood and walked over. "Hiya! Do you live nearby?" Snowball looked at the group of five and waited. Snowball never been this close to a snow leopard before. The snow leopard, the panther, the wolf, the snow fox looked at the threstral who shrugged at the snow leopard to answer.

"Yeah, on the south side of this development. Doubt the realtor told you, this house and this block sits in the middle of gang territory. No one's died here yet, it just gets loud as hell. Fuck, I got jumped here a year ago and I mauled three stallions who tried to pay me for sex."

"Well...this sounds like a rough place."

"Look kid" the snow fox butted in, "We can tell you've around safer places than here; however, you intrigue us a good bit. Never have had a rabbit so boldly walk up to something that could kill them so quickly." Snowball suddenly became aware that some these people were packing firearms and were getting fidgety. Snowball looked behind her and saw two stallions talking to her dad. Snowball saw her sister leap to her feet and drawing the switchblade that she carried defending her mother while her dad got shoved around.

The snow leopard was wanting to taste blood hissed, "Pantera....let me loose!" Snowball was faster.

"Get 'em" and Snowball felt the wind fly past her and she turned her head and saw that the snow leopard was gone and the threstral had bolted. The snow fox shrugged and kept talking.

"You just unleashed hell....I do hope that your family isn't going to be too traumatized." Snapping her head around she froze in fear, both stallions were badly injured to say the least.

"Are those two stallions gonna live to see tomorrow?"

"That crazy snow leopard bitch just mauled that dude, he won't live long....thd threstral is just waiting for her prey to die already, she just bit into his artery. I can see from here that your mom is traumatized, your dad is looking at us grateful that we were around. Your sister is gutsy, we're gonna love her for sure. As for you little sister.....you're gonna one of the herd now."

"Little? you're like my height and weight, you can't say much." Pantera just laughed a deep bass laugh.

"You girls can duke it out later on 'Just Dance' come on crew let's help them love in." Snowball figured that Pantera was the leader. "Welcome sir, wish that your first day was smoother. Let me introduce myself and the crew here. I'm Pantera, the threstral is Snowflake Obsidian, the snow fox is Blizzard, the snow leopard is Talon or 'Tally', the wolf is Silvermoon. Your daughter there is bold, we've never seen a rabbit be willing to face opponents three times their height." Snowball hoped that her father would be cordial.

" Thank you Pantera, I do suppose you knew something like this was going to happen. I'm Jackson, my wife Lilly it, and my oldest daughter Daisy, and the one you is our boldest is Snowball. Snowball has always been friends with your type...I guess ever since she was born she always was infatuated with our predatory counterparts. She's never been the healthiest kid, the day she was born the doctors said she won't live long. However, she's seventeen and rambunctious. As far as I'm concerned, my girls can hang you guys. Snowball has always been a good judge of character. Everyone began to notice that Snowball and Blizzard were still trying to compare height. Daisy finally walked over.

"Snowball, the fox still has like two inches in you. Blizzard, feel free to knock my sister's ego down at the knees."

"I don't bully little bunny wabbits." Snowball playfully tried to tackle Blizzard who suddenly yelped as she was scooped up and Snowball squeaked as well. Snowflake had picked up Blizzard and Snowball was dangling from the hand of Talon. Talon who was by nature the quiet one spoke.

"Okay midgets let's get boxes moved." Jack and Lillybit were laughing and Daisy who was standing by Silvermoon wanted to ask a question.

"So Silvermoon, will my little sister be safe? I'm a trained fighter, a fighter with no street experience. Snowball didn't want to do martial arts instead she has always you, formed her gang of people who could fight her fights for her."

The wolf shrugged, " She'll be safe, besides as a wolf we have a pack mentality as it is. If she ever got into trouble and there is at least one wolf nearby and she gets their attention....all she would have to do is say she's a friend of mine and every wolf in a ten mile radius will be there. I know you're wondering if we howl....we do howl and don't try to start one." Daisy began to realize that her ears that were standing straight up didn't even reach Silvermoon's underside of her boobs. Daisy now feeling awkward flopped her ears down. "Yeah, I noticed and don't be shy if that's how you swing...i won't judge."

"If I wasn't so short compared to you I'd tackle you right now."

"I bet you would too, just to let you know, Tally has tried once she hated the result. She got decked by me. If you want to feel like you're in danger all the time, Tally's sister Shadow is terrifying. Think of Yin & Yang, Shadow is her Yin, whilst she is Shadow's Yang. I'm kinda surpsi3thsr they didn't get named that. Shadow is kinda known on this side of the neighborhood for being retaliatory. One time a group of like ten guys stole Tally's lunch money and the next thing we know Shadow hunted every single dude down and mauled them." Daisy now felt scared, the area they moved in sounded like a gang war ready to start. Daisy heard her mother speaking.

"Would y'all a sandwich or two before starting?" Everyone laughed as Talon was always hungry, Daisy and Snowball and their parents were waiting for an explanation.

"Sorry ma'am, it's that Talon is a foody, she's always hungry or eating something. To spite her tough side, she loves to cook." Talon whole eating gingerly leaned her head in Lillybit and being content just purred. Daisy noticed now that a black leopard coming around the corner. Silvermoon leaned down, whispered into Daisy's ear.

"That's Shadow or we call her Shade." Daisy walked up while Snowball ran up.

"Hiya! I'm Snowball and this is my sister Daisy." The leopard nodded.

"I'm Shadow, just trying to keep tabs on my sister. I haven't hear her purr since mom passed on, dad does his best but he getting over worked, anyways welcome to neighborhood. This house happens to be on my turf, if anything comes up let me know." Daisy then pointed to the stallions who were just trying to slip away.

"Those two hassled my dad earlier. Talon told them not to leave because she said something like you were gonna want to chat with them." Daisy felt bad knowing what she knew now and hoped that Shadow would be gentle. The stallions cowered in absolute fear. Shadow grabbed one of them and delivered about ten solid blows and the other tried to run. Talon still purring chuckled.

"Wait till you people meet 'Clutch' she's a cheetah and her real name is Thunderbolt. If she were here, that dude wouldn't have gotten as far as he did." Lillybit didn't mean to pet Talon the way she was, the leopard was soft to touch.

After the rest of introductions were done and lunch was finished the boxes began to move again. Jack knew that his daughters will be safe with their new friends. He figured that if these new friends were also classmates then his kids would have protection at the school.

Pantera began to talk with Jack. "Well sir, I do believe you're our new teacher at the local college, it's a pleasure to meet you. Feel free to be tougher with us since, we'll you know, you actually know us in a personal level."

"I'll expect to see your homework turned in early, since we live in the same neighborhood." Pantera laughed.

"Yes sir." Lillybit was curious to learn more about the figure watching from their porch across the street. The figure stood and walked over. Lillybit walked as well. Jack was nervous for his wife stepping out of her comfort zone. Jack saw this creature, and he knew that she was a harpy, something similar to a gryphon.

"Welcome to the block bunny, I'm Nightshade if you want it I can help with the unloading." Shadow froze and glared at Nightshade.

Snowball could see the malice burning. "Why do you hate that harpy so much?"

"Long story kid, she and I used to be friends, she is the reason why my sister doesn't have a mother. I'm trying to let the past be the past. I know that if I ask about it, I should just talk to her about the past. I've read Twilight Sparkle's journal. I'm not ready to talk just yet." Nightshade saw Shadow and knew that the two of them one say will need to talk.
