//-------------------------------------------------------// Trixie's Lament -by MidnightStar- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Reflecting //-------------------------------------------------------// Reflecting Author’s Note: This is my first time even writing a MLP fanfic(Plus im new to this site...),  and I’m not that well developed when it comes too writing, so please critique my writing to help me get etter. Came up with this idea a while ago, jut never wrote it. Also I might write another chapter if anyone asks me too. Enjoy. Stoping a ways outside of Ponyville, Trixie hung her head down on her hooves and thought about how she completely humiliated herself. She looked like a complete fool. Saying she could banish an Ursa Major. It tore away at her that she felt like she need to lie about everything just to make her life out to be grander than it really was. Ever since she could remember at the orphanage, Trixie was looked down on. She was always timid, but when her parents died and she moved into a home for foals it was all so terrifying to the small unicorn. She was never one to really have any friends, so being around her peers was new. It didn’t help that she was late with developing her magic either. All the other unicorns had random bursts of magic escape from their horns and some could even do a few novice spells. Trixie never could trigger her magic hiding dormant inside, which was unusually considering most fillies develop magic a lot younger. Trixie found herself being ridicule by not only unicorns but earth ponies and pegasus as well. They did horrific things to her. Physically and mentally they hurt her everyday with various things.Even when she finally could use magic, no one acknowledged it, saying she was far behind everypony else. Nopony ever tried to be her friend or play with her. All she knew was loneliness. Eventually she was fed up with the harassment and she began training herself to be a better magician than the other ponies in the orphanage. Since all her time was devoted to magic, the unicorn became exceptionally good. She tried to show everypony, but they still said it wasn’t anything special. She felt that all her hard work meant nothing and became fed up. The unicorn began to torment all the ponies as they did to her. Lifting them up and dangling them up high places; Taking their food and throwing it away so they would be hungry. She did anything they did to her over the years. Soon she began to boast about her powers, saying she was the best in the orphanage. Challenging anypony who said different. None could even stand a chance. After a while she had everypony at her will, doing anything she said. They were all afraid of her tyranny. Still Trixie was lonely. The ponies didn’t even try to harass her at all anymore, they were all cowering in feat, making her even more alone. She was at least getting attention when they attacked her, now they ignored her as much as possible. So after she became old enough to leave the orphanage, she began traveling so she could show the world her powers, always showing up everypony who disagreed. Her attitude became more corrupt as she passed through countless towns in Equestria. Everyone was captured by her magic and completely disregarded her rude and egotistical way of showing her power. Or at least it was like that until she came to Ponyville. There was a group of ponies who ignored her magic and could only see of her boasting. Trixie showed them up, but afterwards she felt bad deep down. She knew it was wrong. Then two small colts started following her around and defending her. She had never met anypony who were so kind to her. She wasn’t sure how to even act. Eventually they thought too highly of her lies and tested that. The weren’t the smartest colts she had ever known, but she felt some relief that they actually believed in her and wanted to prove to everypony that she was a great magician. Still it was her lies that made them dislike her once then found out. Not to mention that other pony, Twilight Sparkle. She completely showed her up and made her look even more like a fool. It wasn’t Twilight’s fault, but Trixie was so mad she wasn’t sure who to blame. She knew it was her, but she didn’t want to admit it. Trixie felt a shiver go down her spine. It was cold out tonight, and she had no where to sleep since the Ursa Minor destroyed her carriage she usually slept in. Tears began to escape from her eyes and down her cheek. She was cold, lonely and completely ashamed. She never knew what a friend was like, and the only two ponies who ever wanted to try to be a friend believe she is a liar and don’t even want to associate with her anymore. All she could think of was how lonely she was and how lonely she will be. The only true happiness she knew was with her parents, but they left her alone long ago. She lied to herself about what she thought made her happy. Now she knew that just because your famous doesn’t mean the people care about you. It doesn’t help she gloated so much that not only did she lie but also everypony became fed up with her. Letting out a heavy sigh and trying to choke back tears, the unicorn laid her head down. She was tired and even though the night was frigid, she tried to find sleep.
