A Flea In Her Brighthouse (A Flea In Her Castle)
It was a normal day here in Maretime Bay. The Crystal Brighthouse was shining so brightly, in downtown, everyone, or should I say, everypony was doing their normal things here in town. Some ponies were doing business, some of them were planting fruits and plants with their magic, thanks to the Earth ponies, some were just chatting on their phones, or watching a live stream starring Pipp Petals, Zipp Storm's sister, who's part of the Zephyr Heights royal family who has a diva like personality. But there are 3 other young ponies who love Pipp and are their number one fans... these 3 filles, Peach Fizz, Seashell and Glory who are BFFs are the Pippsqueaks! While watching a live stream, the Pippsqueaks were watching Pipp's livestream and boy, they were happy.
"And that's it for my Pippsqueak live stream! Stay connected, my Pippsqueaks! This is Pipp Petals, signing off." Pipp said while ending her livestream as the screen went blank.
The Pippsqueaks squealed after seeing their favorite idol do her famous stream.
"Oh... Pipp is very awesome!" Peach Fizz squees in delight.
"I know, right?!" Seashell replied. "Remember the time we helped her create her new makeup?" She said to her friends, remembering the time when Pipp needed help with the perfect ingredient to make the makeup better.
"Yeah. It was awesome helping her." Glory said. "Speaking of her... do you know what today is?"
Peach & Seashell shook their heads. So, the 3 ponies decided that they should look at their calendars on their phones to check. They realized that today was Pipp's birthday!
"OMG..." Glory said realizing the date...
"I think I know what that special date means..." Peach replied to her friends.
"TODAY'S PIPP'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!" The Pippsqueaks squealed. "AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!"
"We should do something for her to celebrate her birthday!" Peach replied.
"Yeah, but how?" Seashell said, thinking. "Hmm...."
And so, after a few minutes and hours of thinking of the a perfect surprise for their idol, and after they saw the Crystal Brighthouse, the girls had thought of an perfect idea for their royal idol.
"I know! Maybe we can give her a surprise party here at the Crystal Brighthouse!" Glory replied.
"Hmm... It looks kind of big... but let's give it a try!" Peach replied.
"I'm in for this surprise party! Let's do it before Pipp and her friends get back home, fast!" Seashell said to her 2 best friends.
The Pippsqueaks nodded as they decided to do the surprise party themselves, a few moments later, with their parents permissions, they bought party supplies, brought food, a Japanese Strawberry/Chocolate Cake, (similar to the Charadeco Cakes) that shows Pipp's cutie mark that said "Happy Birthday Pipp", and also they brought their own gifts that they made, such as Pipp-styled perfume, Pipp-styled lipstick and Pipp styled hoofshine. A few moments later, the Pippsqueaks have arrived at the Crystal Brighthouse, where nobody was home, and Peach decided to make sure the the door was open. The door was open, but nobody in the Brighthouse was home, Pipp and her friends were out to celebrate her birthday at a fancy restaurant here in Zephyr Heights . And after a while of decorating here at the Crystal Brighthouse and practicing for Zipp for a surprise, the Pippsqueaks decided that they should text Pipp and tell her they've got a surprise for her. Meanwhile, Pipp and her friends was at the streets of Zephyr Heights until she got herself a text from Peach.
"Huh? Looks like someone just texted me... but who is it?" She said as she got her phone trying to see who it was. She saw the text on her phone realizing that it was Peach Fizz who was texting her. While Pipp was on her phone not watching, a flea jumped in her fur, unaware to her that it was about to bite her and lay some eggs on her.
"Hey Birthday Girl! Come to the Crystal Brighthouse right away! We've got a surprise for you! And bring the others too!" Peach's text said.
"A surprise?! Oooh!!! I love surprises!!!" Pipp said in glee.
"Ooh! I love surprises!" Izzy said. "I just can't wait to have one when MY birthday happens soon." She replied to everyone.
"Huh. Sis. You've NEVER get too excited on your birthday." Zipp said.
"Yeah. Good thing you're not a spoiled rich kid." Sunny said.
"If you did, we'd NEVER be your friend." Hitch replied.
"Same here." Misty replied. "You're still the same royal Pegasus sister who has a HUGE fan club".
"Mmm-hmm!" Sparky replied.
"I agree with all the ponies. Because if you hadn't helped me and my Auroricorn friends stop Allura and her sidekick Twitch, we'd never be friends, we'd still be brainwashed." Comet replied.
"True, besides, it's the Unity Crystals that brought us together. A nd without them, there would be no magic, and I wouldn't have become the half earth pony, half alicorn I turn into today. And I wouldn't have done it with the help of my 4 best friends." Sunny replied as she smiled at her first 4 friends. "But enough about this, everyone. We should get back home. Pipp's surprise is waiting for her." She said as the others hopped on the Mare Stream. Unaware that the flea is still in Pipp's fur.
Back at the Brighthouse, the Pippsqueaks were doing some practice for surprising Pipp for her birthday, and after a few practices, the Mare Stream landed at the Brighthouse.
"We've readied this place for Pipp's arrival, which should be in about... Peach said as she looks at her phone to check the time. "...Whoo! Right now!" She exclaimed as the Pippsqueaks hid around the place, while Pipp and her friend opened the door to the Brighthouse until she and her friends saw the decorations.
"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PIPP!" The Pippsqueaks exclaimed.
"AAAHHHH!" Pipp squeed. "A surprise party?! For me?! You shouldn't have. You three, uh... Really know how to, uh.. Throw a party. She said as as she starts scratching her fur like crazy with her hooves, unaware to the Pippsqueaks that she is itching from the flea.
"I knew it! You have been itching to see us!" Glory replied.
"Well, something's making my skin crawl." Pipp said.
"Maybe a slice of cake will take your mind off of your crawling hide." Glory said as she lit the candles. "But first, you might need to blow the candles." She reminded to Pipp after lighting the birthday candles.
A few moments later after Pipp blew the candles, the Pippsqueaks and the Mane 7 had some cake together, unaware that Pipp is still scratching.
"Our parents and us made this cake especially for your return." Peach replied as she gave out the cake slices to Pipp and her friends. But for Pipp, well, she's still scratching from the flea itch.
"This looks so good!" Izzy said, drooling from the deliciousness.
"Dig in, Pipp!" Said Glory, who sees Pipp still scratching her back with a fork, making the Pippsqueaks look confused. "Uh.." she replied.
"Looks... tasty, Glory." Pipp said, still itchy.
The Pippsqueaks are still confused at what their idol had saw. Pipp was still itchy! Peach dropped her fork, looking confused.
"Uh.. hey, Pipp, Are you okay?" Seashell asked.
"I'm fine! My fur just hasn't been furry lately." Pipp said as fur begins to be pulled out with her scratching, it floats onto Pippsqueaks' including her friends' plates and slice of cake, they move their plate away with their forks, looking disgusted. Zipp looks looks over to Izzy and sees her combing the hair on her cake, formed into a mustache and hairdo, which disgusts the rest of Izzy's friends. Sparky just looks at it and laughs.
"Uh.. Hey, Pipp. Pipp." Peach said as she pokes her back, and holds up a pink box with a red ribbon on. "Surprise! Seashell, Glory and I chipped in and got ya a little somethin' somethin'." She said as she puts the gift on the table, as
"Aww, guys, you shouldn't have." Pipp said as she rips the wrapping and lid off of the box, and lifts up a purple perfume. "A new itch spray? I mean, a new perfume Boy, I sure can't wait to spray this thing and to look more glamourous." She replied.
"Uh, you're welcome, Pipp. Hey, uh, are you still up for some Karaoke?" Seashell asked.
"Rashy sore! I mean, sure." Pipp said while still scratching.
A few moments later, the Pippsqueaks and Pipp were doing Karaoke, while Sunny and the others were cheering for their well performed singing. But while singing, Pipp was still scratching like a real dog, and wonders something was going on in her fur. She realized that something was biting her skin she looks at her arm closely, her eyes move back and forth, she spots a flea. The flea is biting Pipp's skin. The flea looks up and screeches.
"Oh my goodness... It's a flea!" Pipp cried.
"Wait, did you say "Flea"?" Hitch asked. as he grabbed his magnifying glass and sees the flea. "You're right, Pipp. There is a flea here! Well, I ain't gonna take that without a fight, cause' I know a lot about critters." He said as he brought flea repellant for ponies that'll make the flea go away, but to no avail, while Pipp was still scratching.
"Zipp, my suitcase... Hurry!" Pipp cried.
Zipp grabbed Pipp's suitcase and she opens it.
"I hate to say this Pipp, but back when I was doing community service here in Maretime Bay's vet and the Martime Bay Animal Shelter, I seem to have picked up a flea." Hitch explained.
"Okay, I'm confused now. what's a flea?" Comet asked.
"A flea is a dastardly little vermin that bites us air breathers. But this here flea collar will send the critter a-runnin'." Hitch explained.
Suddenly the flea jumps off Pipp and lands on Sparky's hand while flea screeches, Sparky thought the flea tickling him, but he was wrong, the flea bit him, causing Sparky to yelp in pain.
"He bit Sparky! Got any more of those fancy collars, Hitch?" Sunny asked.
"No, but Sparky can use this one right quick." Hitch said as he puts the collar on Sparky's wrist. The flea jumps off Sparky and lands on Izzy's fur causing the flea to bite her, bit by bit, forming bumps around her, and laughs.
"Connect the dots." She said as she grabbed a pencil and drew a horse from the lines between the bites marks. But it didn't last a moment when the flea keeps biting Izzy.
"Why does this flea keeps biting me?!" Izzy complained.
"'Cause he's hungry. When a flea bites ya, it's 'cause he's sucking up your blood for nutrition." Hitch explained.
When Izzy heard it, she freaked out.
"I've been bit by a vampire flea!" She cried dramatically as she looks up into the air. "No!" I'm gonna turn into a vampire now! Izzy said dramatically while kneeling and looking down, then she lies on the ground and starts to slams her hooves on the floor. "It's already happening!" She cried dramatically as she growls, blows raspberry, her tongue goes around his mouth, then opens and closes mouth and has a squirrel nose.
"Izzy, there's no such thing as vampires." Sunny said as Izzy's nose returns to normal.
"Sunny does have a point." Misty replied.
"Oh, that doesn't matter!" Izzy growled in anger as she grabs the flea collar off from Sparky. "Oh, this itch is driving me crazy!" She said as she puts on the collar like a belt as the flea jumps back on Pipp, as she starts scratching wants the collar, in relief. But it didn't last long as the flea jumps back on Sparky as he starts scratching too! So, Sparky snatched it from Pipp, then Izzy snatched it from Sparky and the whole surprise party was turned into a flea fight. Suddenly, the flea starts to lay eggs, then the eggs hatch as 2 newborn fleas start to emerge and land on Sunny and Hitch, which in turn, wanted the flea collar, too, but this didn't last long, as more fleas start to emerge on Misty, Zipp & Comet, including the Pippsqueaks, who are getting itchy too! Pipp has had enough, as she wraps the flea collar around the rest of her friends and the Pippsqueaks! This caused the fleas to jump off of them.
"Look, it worked!" Pipp exclaimed "Oh, I'm glad that's over." She sighed.
"Uh... that what over looks like? Peach said as she points to an increasing amount of fleas flooding around the Crystal Brighthouse.
"Oh, Celestia... They're multiplyin' like mad!" Hitch screamed as The flea "pile" comes over and eats away the flea collar as the Mane 7, Sparky & The Pippsqueaks scream in fear. "RUN!!!!" Hitch ordered as everyone ran out of the Crystal Brighthouse from the fleas. But these fleas have a way of causing trouble. The flea pile starts to form a flea cannon and shoots flea cannon balls, and shoots the Pippsqueaks, Sparky & the Mane 7, but luckily, the heroes dodged from the fleas as they flew all over Maretime Bay, causing every pony in town to be itchy!
"Hey! You guys got the aim of a cross eyed critter!" Pipp shouted as the flea pile grows bigger and takes the form of an ocean wave causing the others to scream in fear.
"Run again!!!!" Hitch ordered everyone.
"Okay!" Everyone cried.
But before they could run, the flea wave starts to hit the ponies and the dragon, as they realized that they look at themselves swelling with flea bites, In fact they were so itchy, that they wanted the chaos to end.
"Uh, thanks for having us, Pipp, but we've gotta go!" Peach said, looking scared.
"Yeah, good to see you!" Glory replied as she and her friends ran outside from the Brighthouse, but a flea tornado beats them here, causing the Pippsqueaks to run in fear, they almost ran near Posey who is walking on the street listening to some music, unaware that there was flea chaos here in town. After for some chasing around town, the Pippsqueaks went back to the Sunny and the gang, until they saw Posey suddenly scratching and whining, realizing that something was wrong, and thought that there are parasites. She even thought the fleas wouldn't get on her! Back in the streets, Izzy did a totem pole formation of her friends, alongside Sparky would throw glitter on the fleas.
"Them varmints is tough. They're from Appleoosa, phew!" Hitch said. "Izzy, are you throwing enough glitter to keep away from the fleas?!" he asked.
"Yeah." Izzy replied as she keeps throwing glitter, at not just at the fleas, but Posey too, and all over the place! For Zipp she was trying to form a windstorm to get rid of the fleas after the part where Posey whined about the fleas on her, but those pests would just run her over, knocking Posey out.
Soon after, the Pippsqueaks appeared where the rest of the gang were trying to save the town from the fleas, including Posey.
"It's gonna be all right." Said Peach as she picks Posey up. "We will help you."
Suddenly, Fleas come down like planes, that caused the Pippsqueaks scream in fear. "Okay, you know what? None of this would have happened if you didn't come back with your infestation! All you've brought us is fleas and trouble and pain and itching and a rash! And pain and fleas and itching and... pain! So... much... pain! So much pain..." Glory said to Pipp and she looks at her 2 friends, "And as for you 2! If you hadn't thrown this party, we wouldn't be in this mess!"
"Wait a minute! You had as much to do with this party as I did!" Seashell replied.
"Same here!" Glory replied.
"You call this a party? I'm beginning to question our friendship!" Peach cried in regret.
"Oh, I've got half a mind, buddy!" Seashell yelled.
"Ugh! Would you 3 girls stop yelling at each other?!" Pipp said as she gets between the 3 young ponies and moves them. "What does that prove?! If we're gonna get out of this, we gotta work together. That's what make a Pippsqueak special." She replied.
"You're right. I have an idea. Peach and Seashell, you get on Pipp's shoulders." Glory said as Peach and Seashell as they got on Pipp's shoulders. "Uh-huh. Good. Now, I'll get on top of you...!" She Glory replied as she was straining to get on top of Peach and Seashell's shoulders as she sits down, then sighs, and munches on an apple, then burps, then heaves a sigh. "Ahhh... Much better." Glory said as the "tower" topples over causing them to fall.
Pipp has had enough, so she decided to get serious.
"I do not play games!" Pipp said angrily.
Suddenly, the unthinkable had happened. The fleas assemble to make an evil face, then laugh maniacally, causing everyone to hold in fear. With no other options, the only way was to get inside the Brighthouse.
"Quick! Get in the Brighthouse! It's the only safe place left." Hitch ordered everyone as he shuts the door behind him. "We should be protected here." He said, looking relieved.
But before anyone could rest, there was a rumbling sound. The fleas were back! Sunny and the Pippsqueaks think they are done for (Sparky is drowning in the fleas, but luckily; Hitch is keeping him safe) "Hold on!" He said to everyone. Pipp throws an Hairpin on a button labeled "Emergency Escape Hatch." The floor opens and leads them back outside. Fleas start to take over the Brighthouse, and break everything inside and start to cover the rest of the place.
"Is this how we're gonna spend the rest of our lives? Living in fleas instead of royal magic?" Peach compained.
Suddenly, Zipp & Pipp had an idea, since they're royal sisters from Zephyr Heights, decided to combine their royal pegasus magic into one huge magic blast that blast the fleas far, far away. But this magic causes everypony and critter around the Maretime Bay, Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood to become magnetically attached and pulled in the shelter until the shelter blows up from reaching over the max capacity.
"Magic!" Peach cried as she sees everyone being sucked, including their friends, and families.
"It sure is good to have a great birthday party, Pipp!" Seashell replied.
"Yeah... it is... but now what do we do to get out of this place, and fix the Brighthouse again?!" Pipp complained.
