REVENGE, and the price that comes with it.
They've won... but at what cost?
Twilight huddled with her friends in desperation, as the lord of chaos worked his magic.
He then fired his spell towards the group, as it made direct contact with them.
The ponies and dragon began to turn grey, as their personalities drastically changed.
Applejack told nothing but lies towards her "friends", Pinkie was a real drag and frowned non-stop, Rarity looked for the nearest pebble and hoarded it, Fluttershy was mean and cruel, Rainbow Dash instantly flew off, and Twilight looked sad and glum.
While Spike could feel nothing but despair, as all his friends abandoned him.
The four villains could only laugh maniacally in triumph as the ponies all turned on each other.
They had done it, they had destroyed Twilight's friendship.
They had won.
"Well, I guess Equestria is ours now." Trixie stated, as she gazed at her hoof smugly.
"Finally! And after all this time! Do you realize how many timelines I had to alter just to get Twilight to give up on her friendship?! But she never gave up!" Starlight vented her built up frustration.
"Oh quit your whining, they won't be trying to stop us now!" Thorax grinned maliciously.
"However, there is one, teeny, little, problem we have to deal with..." Discord pointed at the Wendigos, as the other three looked at each other in ponderation.
"So what shall we do?" Trixie asked the Draconequus.
"Let them work their magic for a while until it's time for me to send them back to the either. In the meantime, let's start building our new kingdoms." Discord smirked evilly, as he and the others left to begin a dark age for Equestria...
Later...
Ponyville was in despair, the Wendigos had frozen a good number of their food supplies and drinks.
Things weren't made any better when the Gruesome and Painful Trixie returned and established herself as Ponyville's new dictator.
The ponies were forced to build monuments in her image, and she didn't even need an amulet to enslave them this time.
Trixopolis has returned, and it didn't look like it would be discontinued any time soon...
Meanwhile, things weren't looking so bright for Canterlot either.
The entire capital had been turned into one giant fever dream of chaos as Discord took control of the area swiftly.
As soon as he took over, he summoned the sun and moon princess from their prison as he sat on what was supposed to be Twilight's throne, as the entire throne room had inverted gravity, to suit his needs.
"Like what I've done with the place Celly? I consider it to be an improvement." The Draconequus taunted the former monarchs.
"You WON'T get away with this Discord." Celestia snarled.
"Please, I know it's cliche but... we already have. Friendship is gone and buried, Twilight is no longer feeling able to ascend to the throne, why do you still persist even when you've already been beaten?"
"Because we know there's still a way for you to stop this." Luna stated to the spirit of disharmony...
Discord merely laughed hysterically at the moon princesses comment.
"And why would we stop? We made our pact, and I already made a plan on how to deal with those pesky Windi-beasts. But don't worry, I'll make sure that your precious little ponies don't suffer through the cold. I'm not a monster." Discord assured.
"You have to understand Discord, that brainwashing and manipulating Ponies into acting a certain way isn't chaotic, it's just evil." Celestia argued.
"And what gives YOU the right to lecture me on the nature of chaos? I am the spirit of all things pandemonium, and YOU'RE just inferior mortals." Discord mocked.
"You may be the spirit Discord, but you still lack the proper knowledge and foresight on how to execute it on a morally acceptable boundary. You don't need to cause chaos through destruction." Luna argued.
"What sentimental nonsense. Why don't you two think about what you just said so you can realize just how RIDICULOUS it is?" Discord then grabbed the Alicorn's with his magic, and placed them in prisons made of impenetrable cotton candy.
With that settled, Discord decided to pay his little bug friend a little visit.
Meanwhile...
The changeling hive was undergoing a resurgence.
Thorax had managed to convert most of the changelings back to stealing love, whether by force, or by charisma.
It didn't take long for the newly evolved "king" changeling to take over and re-arrange the entire hive.
After he had gathered enough drones, he set his sights on reconstruction of the old throne, until he was paid a visit by a familiar goat headed face.
"What are YOU doing here?" The bug eyed the amalgamation suspiciously.
"Oh don't worry, I'm not here to bend your little wasp nest backwards, I just came here to see your LOVELY face. So how is your little "reformation" program doing?"
"It's working out just perfectly, most of the changelings had already evolved back to their original forms, and are now back to taking love instead of giving it freely. The only ones who have not reformed are the ones who have been poisoned for too long. Including Ocellus, my putrid brother, and... Chrysalis..."
"I see. And why do you insist on converting her after what she's done? I thought that you would try to take over the hive for yourself, seeing as how you want to ascend to the throne."
"Yes but only when the time has come! I may detest that she gave up on being a ruthless leader, but I still know that venom is still present. For I am nothing but loyal to my queen."
"Right... And just how exactly do you plan to convince her to waste everything she's learned over the years?"
"Oh, I have one or two ways on how I plan to get our queen back."
"Good for you. But in the meantime, I think now is the perfect time for me to start bashing those Wendi-things, and would require your assistance."
"And why is that? Don't you have enough power to do it yourself?"
"Yes, but I'll need you just in case they prove to be more resistant then anticipated. Always plan ahead after all."
"Hmm... Very well then. Guards! Make sure the 'unclean' changelings remain 'comfortable' while I am absent."
"Yes Thorax." One changeling nodded, as they went to the cells to try to convert the "unclean" changelings.
Discord then teleported himself and Thorax out of the hive and near the scape where the Wendigo's are present.
Meanwhile...
Trixie rode on her carriage of self portraits, as she whipped as Snips and Snails to pull faster.
The two colts just couldn't catch a break from the melodramatic unicorn.
Eventually, they arrived at their destination, as they made it to the unanimously named "our town".
The two colts pulled the carriage just outside the outskirts of town, as Trixie made it to the center of the village.
There, she met up with the lilac coated Alicorn, as ponies with forced smiles and equal signs marked on their flanks surrounded her.
"I take it everything went well with your little 'equalization' process?" Trixie asked Starlight.
"Indeed, I have bought the entire village back on track, and I have updated the cutie mark vault to contain more marks, mine included, for when I no longer need it."
"And let all this grand power go to waste?"
"You forget Trixie, I never cared about ruling Equestria like you and the others. I only want friends who would never leave me." Starlight stated.
"You know I would never leave you Glimmy." Trixie assured, as the two shared a smooch.
When they were done, Double Diamond approached with urgency.
"Starlight! The Wendigos are affecting the outskirts! If we don't do something, they will get us and we will suffer eternal winter!" He stated with urgency.
"Don't worry Double Diamond, the Wendigos will be taken care of."
"We should probably join them just to make sure they don't screw it up." Trixie stated, as Starlight nodded.
The two then teleported to the scape to meet up with Discord and Thorax.
There, they saw the two blasting the three wind creatures with everything they got, but it wasn't enough.
"How long have you been at it?!" Starlight shouted at vocal range, due to the increased wind.
"For ten minutes! I absorbed some love from several ponies and came back to finish the job, but it's still not enough!"
"Well then let us join you!" Trixie stated, as she and Starlight tried blasting the Wendigos with everything they've got.
The monsters recoiled in pain for a bit upon contact, but they managed to heal their blast marks almost instantly.
their wind only got stronger with every passing moment...
"I-I-I-Is it getting c-c-c-c-cold in here, or is it just m-m-m-m-me?..." The lord of chaos asked, as he wrapped his arms around his serpentine body as he shivered nonstop.
The other three villains could only gasp in horror at the sight of the all powerful god of chaos being victim to the Wendigos powerful winds.
"I refuse to go down like this! We made it this far! And we are NOT giving up now!" Thorax shouted, as he tried blasting the Wendigos some more.
The Wendigos merely circled around their fire, as their winds got stronger and stronger.
Eventually, the tip of their horns froze solid, and they couldn't fire anymore.
"No! This CAN'T be the end! Not like this!" Thorax shrieked in horror, as the others could only stare glumly.
"Where did we go wrong? How could you let it get to this point Discord?!"
"Hey! Don't look at me! I only thought that since I was powered by disharmony as much as the Wendigos I could-... Oh, that actually makes sense now that I think about it..."
"Well, I guess this is goodbye everyone... It was a pleasure working with you, especially you Trixie."
Starlight grasped Trixie in a tight hug, as they slowly begun to freeze solid.
"Discord! Surely you must have had SOME other plan?!"
"There is one, but you really aren't going to like it."
Discord thought about what the Princesses said, before he imprisoned them...
"You don't need to cause chaos through destruction."
Discord ultimately let out a sigh, as he tried to do the unthinkable...
He tried to snap his fingers, but they were getting colder and colder...
However, he was able to fight through the cold, as he snapped his fingers quickly before they were frozen solid.
In a flash, the four villains found themselves back in "Grogar"'s lair, right next to the table where the Bewitching Bell sat.
"You bought us BACK?!" Thorax hissed at the Draconequus, as they travelled back in time to before they used the bell, but with all their memories of the future present.
"It was the only thing I could think of! We weren't getting anywhere through fighting those creatures, this is the only reliable option. You're lucky we didn't FREEZE to death!"
"Well what do we do now? We can't just do what we did before, and it seems like the only way the Wendigos can be TRULY banished is by... 'friendship', and 'harmony'..." Trixie groaned in annoyance.
"Maybe Discord has a point... we weren't getting anywhere doing things OUR way, maybe if we just talk to Chrysalis we could..."
"Oh no! I am NOT changing into a love sharing PUSHOVER just to avoid facing the Wendigos wrath again!"
"What other choice do we have Thorax?!"
"What exactly gave you this idea?"
"The princesses told me that there was more to chaos then mindless destruction. I didn't want to believe them at first, but all those ponies... suffering in the cold... even I admit that it was a little too much..."
"Yes, I never wanted to HURT anyone either... I just wanted friends too, but friends who would never leave me..."
"Oh, please don't get into your overly convoluted backstory on why you're a jerk." Thorax groaned as he rubbed his head with his hooves.
"Regardless I agree too, we should just talk to the overgrown bug." Even Trixie agreed.
"Am I the ONLY one devising against this?!" Thorax yelled.
"It would seem like it bug boy. Who knows, maybe it will feel good to share love instead of doing that gross thing of enwrapping people in cocoons. You little sicko."
"It is NOT sick! It is necessary!" Thorax snapped.
"Let's just talk to Chrysalis before you all chew at each other's throats." Starlight stated.
Thorax could only let out a reluctant groan, as the other two nodded their heads and went to the main room.
"I have returned! Twilight Sparkle's coronation is today, and we're going to rui-"
"You can cut the act Chryssie, we know it's you." Trixie said, as she and the others emerged from the walls.
Chrysalis shed her disguise.
"Wha- what gave it away?!"
"Nothing, you did a great job on your whole 'evil ram' shtick. But that's not how we know. I knew the whole time, because I could see right through your disguise, it's what happens when you're a powerful spirit of chaos like me, and I told them it was you." Discord stretched the truth, leaving out the whole time travel bit.
"And what do you have to gain from revealing you know the truth out in the open?"
"Well, we thought about your attempts to reform us, and thought maybe it would work better if you did it the proper way instead of putting on a big scary act." Starlight approached, as Thorax could only leave a disappointed huff.
"But don't think for a moment that this means we will 'CHANGE', just means that we won't be trying to mold Equestria in our own image." Discord stated, as he created a projection of Equestria made to look like his own face.
Chrysalis thought about their proposition thoroughly...
"Very well, but NO tricks! And if I were to do it the proper way, I would have to tell Twilight and the others of what I tried to do... which is SURE to be a good time..."
"Oh, I'm sure it will be. Oh, and I believe YOU will know what to do with this." Discord bought out the bell and gave it to the sparkling bug.
"You had the bell ALL this time?!"
"Yes, be thankful that we are giving it back to you instead of using it for ourselves." Discord merely stated.
Chrysalis let out a sigh, thankful that indeed they didn't decide to use it on her.
"Very well, but I am watching all of you. Especially my sweet little pumpkin."
"I hate you mom."
"Well, this has certainly felt like a life changing experience..." Starlight pondered.
"I don't even know how to feel anything anymore..." Trixie stated...
