“Oh gosh oh-gosh-oh-gosh…!” Twilight gallops back and forth frantically around her library, pulling various scrolls, books and trinkets from the shelves - hastily levitating them into various saddlebag pockets. You swear you can practically see two of her she is moving around so quickly. Many of the books she's not stuffing into a bag are left stacked up in loose piles as tall as you are.
What a chaotic sight.
“Uhh… you wanted to see me about something urgent, Miss Sparkle?” You say as you wave a scroll in your hands. A scroll, addressed to you, that awoke you from a casual day-off nap in a sudden loud puff of magic dragonfire.
“Oh, Anon! Sorry, I didn’t notice you come inside. Forgive me, but I am in a bit of a rush! I was informed by the Princesses that they are getting in their possession what they said was a very rare magical artifact, and they want me to be one of the first to study it!”
She is practically beaming. It would be very cute, were it not for the complementing anxiety also obvious in her expression.
“Wow, that sounds reall-”
“- and I was supposed to be in Canterlot an hour ago! One thing after another came up and I’m so late! I have to get going! I promised Rainbow Dash I would get her the new special edition release Daring Do novel, but they didn’t deliver it to the library and I haven’t gotten the chance to go get it at the shop myself. Can you please go pick it up and deliver it to her? She’s off work today, so she should be home.”
She seems to be cinching up the belts on her saddlebags, ready to take off running out the door. It would be pretty rude to decline when she’s already so short on time, and it's not like you had anything else going on today.
“...uh, yeah. Sure. I can do that. But Ho-”
“OkaygreatThanksAnonIappreciateit-Gottagobye!” Twilight shouts as she speeds outside past you in a blur of lavender, tossing a small chain of some sort at you on her way out.
“Wait! Miss Sparkle…! HOW DO I GET UP TO HER HOUSE?!??”
“JUST WEAR IT!” You hear shouted distantly from down the street, accompanying the patter of her rapid hoofsteps.
You take a better look at the item she left with you. It was a small amulet - the bright blue inset gemstone inscribed with an image of a cloud.
“...Oh. I guess that works.”
You give an exasperated sigh, put in a few stretches, and close the door left open by the frazzled librarian mare.
“Welp, let’s get to it, then.”
—-----------------------------------------
It was a bit more time consuming than you anticipated, but you were able to get to the smaller shop on the outskirts of town and pick up the book Twilight mentioned. Though, you always found walking through town enjoyable - with its charming style and organic layout, not too busy, but not silent either. A casual conversation between ponies, a kind smile shared when you made eye contact in passing, the distant laughs of the fillies playing… so peaceful. It really makes you wish you had this back where you were from.
You snap back out of your daze of lost thoughts and daydreaming to find you have arrived at the residence of one Rainbow Dash, the town of Ponyville's renowned rainbow-maned weatherpony. You’ve spent a little bit of time around her, but you are more-so acquaintances than anything close to a friend. She always came off as tomboyish, overly confident and full of herself when you spoke with her. A tough and a very loud-and-proud type of mare, but seemed kind in the ways that mattered. As many of the other ponies would say, she’s cool.
Before you rise small, flat stepped clouds spiraling their way up to her lofty home in the clouds - or, well… even her house is made of clouds. The thought of stairs for a pegasus’s home seemed a bit odd, but I suppose living amongst many non-pegasus ponies, if she wanted any visitors she would have to make some accommodations. You make sure that the amulet is firmly around your neck and place your foot gently upon the first step. Slowly and cautiously, you put pressure on your foot. Slowly… slowly… and…
Nothing. It feels solid under your weight. Reassured that you won’t fall to your death, you make your way up the winding cloudy staircase and to Rainbow Dash’s front door. The door and everything else about the house look more solid than the fluffy white ground around it. You kneel to put the book down in front of the door, but the moment you are about to release your grip, you notice the book - it’s going right through the cloud floor.
“Huh… I guess the amulet only works for me.”
You try knocking on the door.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
“Hello? Rainbow Dash? You there?”
No response. Putting your hand to the handle, you find it isn’t locked. The door swings ajar.
“I guess a place like this wouldn’t need locked doors, would it?” You think to yourself. “Should I… should I just leave it inside? Would she even let me come inside? Would she be upset? I’ll just put it on the nearest table and ge-.”
Your thoughts get cut short when you see the interior of her house - this place is luxurious! High ceilings, statues, columns and medals adorning the walls, polished floors - can you polish a cloud? This mare had it fucking made.
Your roaring feelings of inadequacy comparing yourself to this monument to her accomplishments aside, you walk to the table at the side of her stairs. It seems a visually obvious spot, surely she will notice the book here. And that's when you hear it - a distant muffled noise coming from down the hall. It sounds like a soft rattling, no… a rumbling… grumbling? It seems to go in and out, almost like it is…
“Oh.” You realize.
It’s snoring.
Rainbow Dash is snoring.
Just the image in your head of the cyan pegasus curled up, softly snoozing the afternoon away - the juxtaposition of a mare as tough and proud as she is - it’s cute as fuck. Too cute. Being surrounded by these ponies for so long, you have seemed to develop an attraction to them. The idea is alluring, but admittedly you haven’t really gotten close with any mares in your time here. And the prospect of cute-fueled dopamine shifts your thoughts. Perhaps you could just quickly take a peek? Would that be weird? Creepy? Rude? Your thoughts move toward convincing yourself. “Well, I could take the book with me as an excuse to walking in on her if she happens to wake up. I do have an actual reason to be here from Twilight, after all.”
“Fuck it - I wanna see that cute mare!”
You whisper under your breath, as you begin sneaking down the hall, book in hand. The soft hum and rumble of her snoring grows louder and louder as you get closer. You stop outside the door and take a cautious, quiet exhale. Silently, the door is pushed ajar slowly, as to make sure it doesn’t make any noise. An odd scent wafts from within the room when you crack the door. It’s slightly floral, but also… is that baby powder? You peer into the room, and are met with a view of the rear of a sofa facing away from the door, the snoozing mare audibly just on the other side.
You carefully step forward into the room, and notice strewn about around the sofa what appear to be various foals toys - a few stuffed animals, colorful blocks and scraps of paper with scribbles on them.
“Okay… this certainly isn't what I expected to find. What’s up with all this kids stuff?’” you ponder to yourself.
You make your way to the side of the sofa, finally to be met with the sight of the snoozing cyan pegasus. But it seems your pondering about the state of this room is shortlived - as you also see the answer to your question. Cuddled up upon the sofa cushions with a cloud pillow in her embrace lay Rainbow Dash, the self-proclaimed coolest and fastest pony in Ponyville, a proud member of Equestria’s elite Wonderbolts, one of the most tough-as-they-come mares…
… fast asleep in a diaper.
And not just a plain one either - a noticeably puffy diaper with some crudely drawn simple swirls and shapes covering the surface of it. Were it not for her size, she would otherwise be indistinguishable from a very young filly. You are at a loss for thought, let alone words at the sight of this. It gives rise to some sudden conflicting thoughts and feelings about what you are witnessing - you expected to find Rainbow Dash in a similar vulnerable but cute state, but not this cute. However, you aren’t completely living under a rock, as you had spent so long on the internet before you lived here in Equestria, you are no stranger to the knowledge of various philias and fetishes. Rainbow Dash appears to be an adult baby, or adult foal in this case, you suppose. You already had a soft spot for cute things, so the idea of it wasn’t bad. However, you never did partake in any of it, moreso just observing it in passing whenever it came up. But now it’s actually happening in front of you - and if you couple those cute ideas and themes with these cute ponies… it's just so…
*chff-chff-chff-chff-chff-chff-chff-chff*
The fast approaching sound of propeller blades hits your senses as a flying tortoise zips through the open doorway - and is headed straight for you. Your body jerks in reaction to avoid this rocketing reptile, losing your grip on the book as you duck and fall away in front of the sofa - to which it, and you, hit the floor with a resounding thud.
“Eerrgghh… mmmmt-aaaannk….”
Your full attention goes back to Rainbow Dash. She is roused from her slumber, lifting up on her two forehooves with a soft plastic rustling beneath her, and groggily opens her eyes to greet the waking world…
“Mmrpff… Tank… Uuuugh, you aren’t supposed to be in here, buddy! I thought I closed the-”
…and to greet you.
“...door.”
You were still down on the floor, feeling the pain of your side currently stabbed by some toy you fell over top of - but that mattered none when you were frozen under Rainbow’s cold magenta stare. Her eyes go wide, meeting yours.
“Shit. What the fuck do I do? What do I say? ohfuckohfuckohfuck…”
“Uh, Rainbow Dash… l-look, I know I’m not supposed to be here, b-but I can explain…!” You stammer as you mentally prepare for an all-mighty 4-hoof beating.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! ANON!-” she yells, quickly diving to the far corner of the room, where a small pile of blankets lay.
“-wha…?”
Instead of the hot-headed assault you anticipated, she hid away out of sight under blankets. With a deep breath and a sigh as you stand up, groaning at the pain in your rib, you pick up the book, and walk over to the blanket pile.
“WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?!! GO AWAY!!!” You hear from muffled screams through the blankets - a bit of her rainbow tail sticking out from and on top of it. She sounds terrified. Embarrassed, scared, all these words would describe the tone of her voice. It suddenly weighs heavy on your heart - you feel terrible about making her feel like this. Barging in on what was likely her most intimate and private personal time? You probably won’t be leaving here with your acquaintanceship intact. But you still need to properly apologize before you go.
“I am so sorry, Rainbow Dash. Twilight sent me to deliver you this book on her behalf. I just came by to drop it off, but one thing led to another, the door was unlocked, I let myself in to - look, it’s really shitty of me to have done that, I can’t apologize enough.”
“NO, YOU CAN’T!” Her voice sounds a bit shaky now. “NOPONY SHOULD SEE ME LIKE THIS! YOU CAN’T TELL ANYPONY ABOUT THIS, YOU HEAR ME?!?!”
“I know. I wouldn’t dare.” You say as you bend down to leave the book in front of the blankets. “But, if it’s worth anything to you coming from me, it's not as embarrassing as you might feel it is.”
Rainbow Dash is silent for a moment, proceeding to unfurl the blankets around her just enough to reveal her eyes. She looks at the book you offer in front of her, And reaches out her hooves to take it.
“I am sorta familiar with what all this stuff is - and there's nothing wrong with it. So please, don’t let my stupid actions turn your thoughts against yourself. Also, if you don't mind me speaking honestly… I actually think you do look very cute in a diaper.”
She reveals a bit more of herself from the blankets now, accepting the book, and she looks up at you.
“T-Thanks for the book, Anon…” she says in a sullen tone. “And for the compliment…” immediately she breaks eye contact and looks to the side, a visible blush apparent across her face.
“I’ll get out of your way, Dash. Sorry, again.”
As you walk back out towards the door, you hear a shifting around behind you.
“Anon, hold on.” Rainbow Dash’s voice spoke firmly. “It WAS really dumb of you to do - and you need to make up for it!” You notice in her stern visage were some very hesitant, unsure eyes staring back at you. It looked almost like
That said, you don’t disagree. If you have a chance to make things at least a little more right, you are going to take it.
“I’m not in any position to disagree, Rainbow. What would you have me do?”
She was so soft spoken a minute ago - much an opposite of the Rainbow Dash you knew.
“You say you know what I’m up to with this stuff, so you can “take care” of things for the rest of the day. And you will do everything little thing that I ask for. Got it?”
Well, that soft-spokenness didn’t last long, but she doesn’t look particularly angry either. And she is demanding these things so threateningly, but… saying this while standing there in a big colorful diaper… you meant it when you said she was cute. You wouldn’t mind this being your first experience with the cutesy adult foal stuff… Perhaps it’s best to act like it would be terrible for you.
You respond with a slightly sarcastic “Sigh…"
"Okay. Or what?”
“Or - you’ll find out very quickly that the amulet of yours won’t stop gravity.”
Oh. She is serious.
“Okay, fair enough. What first?”
—-----------------------------------------
This is not the way you thought it was going to go. You have spent the last three or so hours just doing her housework. All the cleaning and tidying up, her house was more of a mess than the entryway let on. I guess that tracks though, for as talented an athlete as she was, this mare was lazy if you let her be. You wipe your brow of sweat from cleaning the last room, and walk back to the room Rainbow Dash was still relaxing in. While you were toiling away at her own household duties, she continued her padded playtime in that room. You noticed though that every time you stopped back in to get your next “order”, she would act a bit odd considering her confidence in ‘forcing’ you to do these things. As you enter the room to the sound of a small toy instrument going off…
“Hey Rainbow, I finished the last room.” You want to ask if you can just take a seat for a minute, but you feel too guilty to imagine you’d deserve a break. Rainbow’s looks up from the colorful metal keys in front of her, and quickly stands up and turns towards you, fluffing up her wings slightly. She does this every time you come back in, as if she is trying to hide what she's wearing - even though it's obvious. But something is yet further odd this time… something different.
“Oh - good. About time!” Rainbow wings puff out. “It’s been forever since this place has been given a good clean. And you’ve been at it for so long now, you have worked up my appetite.” She is ever so slightly swaying side to side on her hind hooves while she speaks, her forehooves slightly shifting and tapping in response. Your sore body and tired mind is slightly soothed by the adorable sight of this petite pendulating puffy-padded pegasus pony.
“Okay, so you want me to make you something to eat?”
Her swaying halts. “Well, not exactly… just, check the shelf there.” she says, pointing behind you. You turn to see a large glass baby bottle upon her shelf - and it looks just about full of milk. Who knew she would have this on top of the toys and diapers - it's even got an adult size nipple and everything. You pick it up - the glass is warm to the touch.
“Wait - did you make this recently? The milk is already warm. I thought you were cooped up in here the whole time. And where do you even get a baby bottle this big?”
“Oh - yeah, I snuck around to the kitchen to make it - but yeah! There is this really talented pony in Manehattan that does custom orders for this kind of stuff, she makes it all like the real thing just bigger, and it’s really cute and works really well, as if-” Rainbow ends her ranting, seeing your smirk at her bout of excitement over her infantile items. A small blush brightens her cheeks.
“*eh-hem* she clears her throat. "- uh, yeah…, so your next task…”
It all starts to come together in your head now. She was just excited this whole time. Nervous, but excited. Even though she probably was and is still legitimately embarrassed about being discovered though, that you have no doubt of, and still feel bad about and need to make up for. But, you finally see an opportunity to take care of her - not her chores she is using to distract herself from what she really wants. An opportunity to do what you thought was going to happen, and that you were truthfully looking forward to - to have this experience.
“Do you know anyone else that is an adult foal like you?” You cut her off - walking towards her.
Rainbow Dash goes quiet - caught off guard by your sudden inquiry. She stammers out her next words.
“U-Uh, well… not really. Not really, no. But it's -"
"oof”, she exclaims as you pick her up with one arm under her belly, and carry her to the sofa.
“Doesn’t it get a bit lonely always doing this by yourself? You sit on the end of the sofa and lay her down across your lap with a soft crinkle. Not a inkling of protest from Rainbow Dash - you take this as a sign to keep going, and that your assumptions were correct.
She looks down, away from you, despondent. A silent “yes…” escapes her lips.
“As awkward a start to this whole situation as it was, I can be that person for you - that friend.” You say as you cradle her head in your arm and lift the bottle in front of her mouth. “So, I want you to tell me honestly, if you would like that. If you do, drink your bottle. But if you aren’t interested, you can say no, and I’ll forget any of this ever happened when I leave.”
She stares at the nipple of the bottle for a solid 30 seconds, seeming lost in contemplation, her earlier blush still brightening her face. Through the tiny, mumbly squeaks of apprehension, she lifts her head forward to the bottle, and begins suckling, without a word.
Success.
“Okay then - I’ll be your caretaker.” You speak in a gentle tone.
You space out a bit looking at her, lost in the adorable sight cradled in your arms. This feels better than you imagined it could have before. That feeling of silent trust she just gave you was one of, if not the most, cherished things you have ever received from someone else. But one thing still stood out in all of this. But how to word it…
“Oh, and Rainbow - you do know you are in your diaper, right? Don’t think I didn’t notice the little shimmy you were doing before. Cute potty dance, by the way…”
Her forehooves shoot up to cover her face - trying to hide her embarrassment, letting go of the nipple. “Shuddup… I’ve never done it with anypony around before, let alone in front of them…”
“You don't have to worry. I’m not going to judge you for doing what all foals do.
You can just relax and use your diaper. I’ll even change you right into a clean one if you want once you finish your bottle.”
A shy smile forms on her face, she tries but fails to conceal it. You begin to gently stroke her belly with the hand of the arm around which she is cradled, as she lays back into your arm and begins suckling at the bottle again. Rainbow closes her eyes and you feel and hear her trying to control her breathing. It becomes slow and soft - it looks like she's concentrating. It is then you hear a small but short muffled hiss. She’s trying. You give her some reassurance.
“It’s alright, Rainbow. Just let it go.”
After a few moments, she gives a long, soft exhale, and you hear the muffled hissing begin again. You feel a growing spot of warmth on your leg where her diapered rump rests against you, as she continues to relieve herself. You can see that relief appear in her expression, a slight smile growing on her lips as she continues to suckle away, finally letting go of all that tension, both of her bladder and her nerves. The staining creeps its way up the front of the diaper, now unmistakably swollen and visibly used. She continues for a good thirty more seconds before it slows down and you hear no more noises from her diaper as she simultaneously finishes her bottle. Though you notice a bit of a damp spot on your pants - her diaper seems to be a bit poorly fitted around her legs.
But you don’t mind that. She looks very happy - and that makes you happy.
“There you go! That’s a good filly - all done.”
Rainbow Dash smiles up at you with a small giggle. Ouch - your heart. “Thanks, Anon. I didn't know how much I needed this…”
“You are very welcome, Rainbow. But just so you know…” You gesture down to your damp pant leg. “... next time, I’ll make sure I put your diaper on properly, okay.” You give her diaper a couple of firm pats on the now swollen crotch.
“Hehe - It’s a deal.”
