It was Hearts and Hooves day. Where everypony confesses their love to be their special somepony. Or if they already have somepony to be with, they get them gifts regardless. Now this day is especially important. Since it was the Hearts and Hooves dance. It happens every two years, so it’s very rare to attend. Now it’s like the Galla, But Hearts and Hooves themed. And everypony likes to go and have a good time. Of course they can bring dates, which is also something ponies should bring. Meanwhile, Angel and Gummy were chilling at the cottage talking about the dance.
“So dude, are you going to the dance?” Angel asked.
“No. I don’t wanna go.” Gummy replied.
“Well why not. It doesn’t happen very often so it’s a rare opportunity.” Angel said
“I don’t really like to dance. Not just because i’m an alligator, but i’m not into dancing all that much.” Gummy said.
“Well okay. But i’m still going.” Angel said.
“Do you have a date yet?” Gummy asked.
“No not yet.” Angel replied. “But i’m working on it.”
“But the dance is tomorrow, you don’t have much time.” Gummy said.
Angel knew he didn’t have much time to ask somepony to the Hearts and Hooves dance. But he was still confident to get a date.
“You’re right.” Angel said “But I am still determined to get a date.”
Just then there was a knock on the door.
“That must be Fluttershy.” Angel said. “She went out to get groceries a few hours ago.”
“Well you better answer it.” Gummy suggested
Angel walked to the door and opened it. Who was there was not Fluttershy. But a big white pony. With a crown on her head, and a sun for a cutie mark. Angels mouth dropped as he was surprised who it was.
“Princess Celestia? The princess of Equestria and the ruler of the sun?!!!” Angel asked.
“Why hello Angel.” Celestia replied.
Gummy was hearing all of this and had to get a better look
“Angel that’s not really Princess Celestia, it’s probably-”
He cut off after coming face to face with the princess.
“Oh my god it is.” He said.
Celestia chuckled to see them both surprised to see her at the door.
“Sorry princess, But Fluttershy is not here right now. She went out for a while.” Angel said.
“But i’m not here to see her.” Celestia said. “I’m actually here to see you Angel.”
“Really? Okay, come in.” Angel said.
Celestia walked into the cottage as Angel closed the door. She walked towards the couch and sat down. Angel and Gummy sat beside her. As they are still in shock to see the real Princess Celestia in the cottage and on the couch.
“How does she know you?” Gummy quietly asked inside Angels ear.
“We met a few months back. So that's why.” Angel replied.
“Anyways Angel, I need to ask you something.” Celestia said
“What is it?” Angel asked.
“So you do know about the Hearts and Hooves dance coming up right?” Celestia asked
“Yeah.” Angel replied.
“Well. I was thinking that, maybe you could go with me. As my date.” Celestia said.
Angel was frozen in shock. Gummy was too. Princess Celestia, the ruler of the sun and princess of Equestria, asked him to be her date to the Hearts and Hooves dance. He was speechless, not even expecting she would ask him this. But all he has to do, is answer the question.
“I-I would love to, that would be great.” Angel replied.
“So do you want me to be here at seven, since the dance doesn’t start till eight?” Celestia asked.
“Sure, sounds good.” Angel replied.
“Well see you then.” Celestia said.
“Okay.” Angel replied.
Celestia then got up from the couch and left. Angel and Gummy were shocked once again. Until they got off the couch and started jumping up an down in excitement.
“Dude, you're going to the dance with Princess Celestia!” Gummy said.
“I know, I can’t believe it!” Angel said back.
“Wait, how are you going to tell Fluttershy and when?” Gummy asked.
“Tomorrow before we leave. I will let her know I have a date. But she won’t notice until tomorrow.” Angel replied.
“Okay.” Gummy said.

The next day, Angel was getting ready for the dance. Fluttershy got him a nice suit with a bow tie that was nice and red. But of course, Angel still had to tell her about his date. Which he had not told her yet. But was going to have to.
“Aw, you look so cute Angel.” Fluttershy said.
“Thanks. You got this for me.” Angel said back.
“I know.” Fluttershy said. “So, are you gonna tell me who you date is for the dance now? The suspense is killing me.” Fluttershy asked.
“Don’t worry, She is going to be here right about-”
Just then there was a knock on the door.
“Now.” Angel finished.
Angel went to the door and opened it up. It was Celestia. She was in a very nice looking dress and she has a pony tail.
“Hello Angel.” Celestia said.
“Hey.” Angel said back
Fluttershy looked to see who was at the door. And just like Angel and Gummy were yesterday. She was also in shock.
“Princess Celestia?” Fluttershy asked. “What are you doing here?”
“Well I guess Angel didn’t tell you. I’m his date to the Hearts and Hooves dance.” Celestia replied.
Fluttershy was shocked even more. As her bunny was going to the dance with Celestia.
“Angel, could I talk to you for a second?” Fluttershy asked.
“Sure.” Angel replied.
They went to the kitchen where they would talk about Angels date.
“Angel, your date is Princess Celestia?” Fluttershy asked.
“Yeah, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so of course she is.” Angel replied.
“Don’t you think other ponies are going to find it weird seeing you with the princess?” Fluttershy asked.
“No. It won’t be weird at all. It’s gonna be fine.” Angel replied.
“Well if you say so.” Fluttershy said.
They got out of the kitchen and Celestia was still there.
“Well Angel, are you ready to go?” Celestia asked.
“Yep.” Angel replied.
“Okay.” Celestia said.
Angel waved goodbye to his owner as he and Celestia were on their way to the Hearts and hooves dance.

After hours of dancing and fun. The dance was over and Angel and Celestia were walking back to the cottage.
“Um. Celestia?” Angel asked.
“Yes, what is it?” Celestia replied.
“I just want to say I had a great time tonight. And that I was glad I got the chance to be your date to a dance that happens every two years.” Angel finished.
“I know, You must still be in shock.” Celestia said.
“I still am.” Angel said back.
After a nice walk, they made it back to the cottage.
“Well, I guess this is my stop.” Angel said.
“It sure is.” Celestia said. “But there is something I want to give to you before we depart.”
“What is it?” Angel asked.
“This.” Celestia replied.
She bent down to give Angel a kiss on the cheek. He blushes afterwards.
“Thanks.” Angel said.
“Your welcome.” Celestia said back.
Angel went inside as Celestia flew back to her castle. Angel got inside to see Fluttershy reading a book and eating some grapes.
“So how was it?” Fluttershy asked.
“It was awesome.” Angel said. We danced and we had punch and she even gave me a kiss on the cheek, just now.” Angel said.
“Really?” Fluttershy asked.
“Yep.” Angel replied.
Angel got onto the couch with Fluttershy and sat next to her while she read. This was indeed, a great Hearts and Hooves day.
