Following the victory over Deathwing near the Maelstrom, the Twilight cultists continued to fight at Wyrmrest Temple till death but most fled and hid around Dragonblight. Even though their morale must have been low they sometimes engaged in small skirmishes to try and retake position.

The story starts with the one of the last group of cultists in the surroundings of Venomspite with a warlock raining fire and chaos among the battlefield.
