Pinkiepie was a normal filly she lived with her grandmother grannypie she hardly ever saw her parents as they lived quite far away she was a timid pony she never really spoke to anypony other then her family, most of the days she lived with her granny she spent more time in her room singing to herself she'd make up songs in hope that somepony would hear her sing or humming to herself and would want to talk to her or even befriends her so she would have somepony other than her granny to talk to she found life pretty depressing having nopony to have a real conversation to after a short while her granny saw she wasn't happy and talked to her for hour's her longest conversation to anypony had been a little less than 6 minutes that night her granny came into her bedroom before going to sleep and kissed pinkie on her forehead and told her "you know I've been listening to you for the last few years singing in your room and if i was being honest with you i'd say you are amazing" pinkiepie blushed "thanks grannypie" pinkie said, grannypie stood up tall and stretched her back and then said im off to bed now see you tomorrow pinkiepie she blew out the candles that was left on her windowsill and shut the door until their was a shred of light bursting through the gap that was left after grannypie closed the door, usually pinkie fell asleep way before it went dark she glared around the room until she was caught off guard by her granny closing the door to her bedroom it was followed with an screeching sound this only made pinkiepie more scared and even more paranoid about her surroundings she was trying to be completely aware of what was happening when the floorboards was creaking and strange noises outside the house was evading through the thin walls of the house then leaving a sound that stayed in the young fillies ears of pinkiepie she glared around the room one more time, her clothes and other scattered objects around her room made out weird shadows and faces pinkiepie by now was pulling funny faces trying to hold in a shriek finally she gave in the scream filled the room exploding into all of the room in the house and bursting in the cold thin air that lingered outside the house, grannypie burst in the room pinkiepie was straight on her feet and hugged with grannypie, grannypie was left with a confused look on her face, pinkiepie had her eyes squeezed shut and opened one eye quickly scanning the room before she could even think grannypie broke the long silence whats a matter pinkie, "theirs evil monsters in my room she cried out" grannypie gave out a light chuckle "hahahaa pinkie theirs nothing in this room that's evil here pinkie wanna hear a song my mum use to sing to me? pinkie nodded, grannypie quickly had a sip of the glass of water pinkie had left on the desk to loosen up her throat "When I was a little filly and the sun was going down, The darkness and the shadows they would always make me frown, I'd hide under my pillow from what I thought I saw, but mummy Pie said that wasn't the way to deal with fears at all, She said, Pinkie you gotta stand up tall, learn to face your fears, you'll see that they can't hurt you just laugh to make them disappear, Sooooooo, giggle at the ghosty Guffaw at the grossly, Crack up at the creepy, Woof it up with the weepy, Chortle at the cooky., Snortle at the spooky. she sang on wards throughout the night finally she left and pinkie understood what her granny meant, she fell asleep faster than dropping a bag of bricks out the window her head hitting the pillow so softly and quickly dozing off into her now calmed and peaceful mind.
The next day she woke up with a slight dizziness, she waited until everything was less blurred and distorted which took a while when it was finally clear she noticed that it was incredibly quiet, which was weird because her granny lived in the big city and there was always pony's outside playing but today, today was different she scuffled out of her warm bed and walked to the window it was pretty dark outside to say it was only midday it was normally blinding with light at this time as she examined what was outside she noticed a orange light reflecting onto the ground she quickly ran outside to see what it was, as her body shook a dark shiver went down her, as she glared upon a massive out of control blaze all she thought at the time was wake grannypie and run, as she galloped to grannypie's bedroom she remembered she wouldn't have enough time to stay for anything she kicked the door open and shook grannypie, she was still asleep in her own world and pinkie shouting wouldn't do anything seen as though her ability to hear correctly has faded and grannypie had put on quite a few pounds so she was way to heavy to carry or pull, pinkie looked at the side of her granny's room as fire started to seep into the house, pinkie felt a tear fall down her face, there was nothing she could do other than save herself, it hurt her to do that but she hoped that somepony would put the fire out before it covered the house completely, pinkie ran out the house all she could see was black, it was the smoke from the fire she had no idea of where she was, she looked up to see the city clock which was facing north as it creaked there was no time to think pinkie galloped north until she was clear of any fire or smoke she glanced back watching the city clock come crashing down covered in fire and steaming with smoke it hit the ground with an echoing bang pinkie thought she was the only one to survive she ran into the forest with tears streaming from her eye's thinking about her grannypie hoping she would be fine, she galloped until she found somewhere to relax and where the fire wouldn't catch she looked down at the ground while she was catching her breath her eye's we're now red with all the crying she did , she was on a large hill where she could see all the city she didn't notice by now the city had been all in flames and was now dying out but when she did all she could do was sit,watch and hope everypony would be ok including her grannypie, after the fire had completely stopped she planed to go back and see if her granny was still alive and well she knew it was bad to think this way but she doubted it, she started drifting away into a dark dream, she dreamed she saw her granny still living after the fire they was both looking at each other from a distance pinkie galloped towards her she jumped to give her a hug, her eyes completely shut as she wrapped her arms around her grannypie faded into smoke and flames, pinkie woke up with a shock her first visions was waking up to the ground as she brought her head up eye's still heavy she remembered what had happened and looked towards the city there was no fire but just smoke that was escaping the rubble that was once houses she walked slowly not in a rush to find out if her grannypie was dead or alive she didn't really want to know because of the dream she had, she knew it wasn't going to be good news as she started to let out light tears from her eye's she finally got to the border of the city where a small group of ponies where gathering and helping people out of the city they was currently not letting anypony in the city as it was still dangerous with a few buildings up but not stable, pinkie hung her head in depression there she didn't see her grannypie in the group and the house was way too far for her to see if it was still standing, pinkie's thoughts left hanging as she asked herself what if grannypie was dead, where would i go, how would i live without her, what if she's trapped under the rubble of the house, what if she got out in time and got out of the city and was looking for me, the last part gave pinkie hope to think somewhere in equestria she was looking for her and that she was still alive and well, she could only pray to celestia for that kind of thing.
